Amazing customer service! I could not find the part I needed locally (Austin Texas area) and remembered using APD for parts years ago fixing stuff for my mom back home. So I called them up. Not only did they have the part...at a great price might I add but they shipped it to me for free. I cannot thank APD enough for their help. Keep up the great work!

Went there to find a surface element of my cooktop. The staff there gave me a part and said that was the model for me, though the layout of the pins were not exactly the same. The problem started from there, since one socket could not reach the pin, therefore I could not install the new part. Ok, I thought I could return it, but, they said the electrical parts was not returnable. Just realized, during the whole purchase process, NO ONE EVER mentioned this policy to me, in any method. Now I wasted more than $100, but compared with the ice cold attitude shown to me during my staying there, it seems not the worst.

When I need a part to repair our home appliances, I come here to get the parts, and advice, needed to do my own repairs. The location is convenient, and the they usually will order the needed parts quickly.

This is about the fourth time Ive used them over the years. Theyve had parts that by rights should have come from the Smithsonian -- electric oven elements from a range that is over 50 years old? Get outta town! They have saved me time and money over the years on belts, dryer elements and bushings, hoses and other items, and this time Brian was able to confirm bad pump bearings almost instantaneously on my aging (but still road worthy) Frigidaire washing machine and order my replacement. No fuss, no hassle, no upselling... just honest, capable service. Five stars and a high five.

I did have bad experience with Appliance Part distributor (APD) Fremont. My refrigerator stopped cooling, freezer side was working. I called APD, Brian told me to change damper assembly. I bought damper assembly from them for $69 and replaced the part myself. That didn’t fix the problem. I called them again and they gave me technician phone number and asked me tell technician that APD referred. I called that technician he came to my home fixed the problem in 20 minutes charged me $145. I went back to APD to return the part. They refused the return saying that they won’t accept the return of electrical parts. I requested them a lot and even asked to give me back 50% money because the part is useless for me. He started arguing with me saying that I know part is non-returnable and I am lying.If I would have known that part is non-returnable then I would not have purchased it first place. I purchased the part based on his advice. The long story short that he didn’t return the part and it cost me $145 + $69 = $214 to fix.

Didnt give a crap...? Are you kidding me? They take whatever time is needed to find your part and explain how to install. They told me once Id get in over my head for a particular repair. Not only was that good advice given my skill level, what I was thinking to do would have voided my warranty. Ignore Mr. Give-a-Crap, these guys are top-notch.

Called ahead and verified they had the part for my Kitchen Aid dishwasher. Picked it up over lunch in less than 5 minutes at a great price. Cant ask for better service.Now to install the part and see if it fixes the problem. If it doesnt that will be my problem, not theirs as some other reviewers have claimed.Part of the joy of fixing your own appliances is diagnosing the issue and getting the right part. Great when it works out, but expect sometimes to make a mistake.

Yes these people know their parts! Be prepared! Take a photo of the model # and serial # with your phone before leaving home. They are not going to tell you how to repair your appliances, spend some time on you tube watching repairs being done.

The control board of my heater went wrong. I took the old board to them and they offered me compatible replacement. I bought the board and it didn’t work with my heater. I called them, they gave me mechanic number. The mechanic came fixed the problem and charged me. I went back the shop to return the old board of $185. They refused the return arguing badly with me saying electrical parts are not returnable. It cost me big time to fix the issue. I would never go to them again.
