Last night we took a quick tour of this Giant Food location in Fredericksburg. Thankfully it’s walking distance for us from our hotel, and we went there last night to pick up some antibiotic gel to help heal bug bites. The store looks very clean overall, and we could easily find what we needed. The aisles looked clear and shelves were well organized. We probably will return there again soon!

My kids love the sweet chili chicken wings they make. Just a little bit spicy, perfect. The rotisserie chicken is good too. Good price for both.

Came here to shop for WIC items. I grabbed something they had marked “WIC” which should mean it is eligible, yet at the register it wouldn’t go through. Manager told me that was on me and that they couldn’t have someone come help me pick out the right item although it was their mistake it was incorrectly marked. I’m pretty sure that’s like telling a customer you won’t help them find a regular item.

Only place I can find hot s&b golden curry, so its an automatic 5 stars from me

I went to visit my granddaughter so I stopped off at Giant at what used to be the Park & Shop Center but is now probably Mary Wasington College Center ~ very service oriented, kind & considerate to their clients, fast & prompt check out & make sure you get the sale price. Wonderful experience! ♡

Prices are double what you pay anywhere else. This is a food desert except for Giant

I can say I am a regular at Giant Food for a very long time. On the better side of things: They have great prices and the freshest fruits and vegetables. I hate when checkout taking longer than it should, but its only when they are super busy.4 stars for being my local grocery stop and for being a place I like.

So, they advertise seafood dept. Closes at 8pm. So, we drive 20 minutes to get seafood. At 720pm, the entire seafood case was empty, and the worker was finishing up cleaning the area. I asked didnt it close at 8, he said yes but he has to preclose, and I wouldnt be able to buy any fresh seafood. I asked customer service for a manager, and they said, all the managers have gone home for the day. So, a major grocery chain with no manager, store being run by associates, creating their own personal business hours?? We will NEVER go to Giant again!

I was just in the Eagle Village store I ordered 2 pounds of shrimp to be steamed and then did my shopping I return 20 minutes later to be told they only did 1 pound and if I wanted another pound I had to come back ridiculous then to add insult to injury I have been going to Giants for a good 40 years my late husband was even a big boy in his 20s at giant my brother-in-law is the head security man at their Landover office evidently I have never been a card holderI explain to the gentleman of course I always use my card and I do shop giant brand it was nothing he could do because they were having a busy day well after all these years I guess giant is too busy for my business no problem I’m easy to get along with them a shop somewhere else

I like this location just because its small and cozy. I like knowing where my groceries are going to be beforehand, and they rarely change up where items are located in the store.

I meant to write this way earlier but on Christmas Eve I came in to purchase a whole BBQ Rib Christmas dinner. The cashier was super nice throughout the transaction, I appreciated that she was working on that day. I forgot a bag and was outside walking to my car in the rain, when I hear “Ma’am!” Donna had came outside to bring my forgotten bag to me, in the rain! My family would have been without cornbread for our BBQ Christmas lol that’s a must! I forgot what else was in the bag lol. Seriously though, she is a good human. She should get a raise.

It took asking 3 different employees to find the margarita mix

This place is amazing!!! Some of the cashiers/workers are very nice and well, some need a little work but it was fine (you can’t let one rotten apple spoil the bunch) the store was amazingly neat and clean and Easy to find what I needed...

I am really disappointed that the chicken wings you used to sell for $5 for 10 is now being sold by the weight. So, 5 wings now seem to cost more than $5. I am a regular buying these wings after a late shift at work and this really disappoints me. Overnight, the price more than doubled.

Small lil store but always clean and has what I need

Katherine is absolutely the rudest Pharm Tech I have ever encountered!!I usually deal with Kyle and Claudia, who are amazing, but I had such an awful experience with Katherine — i just felt the review was necessary.Rude, not willing to help, no “warm welcome” or “fond farewell”, and generally very unpleasant for a lady of her age! Very disappointed in the experience and she made me feel like a burden to her when she’s only doing her job.I have an arm injury and she made me hold up my phone to show her my GoodRX, and when I asked her if I could write it down, she told me “it’s good exercise”. One example of many of my awful experience.Times are tough in these times and bitterness only makes everyone’s life harder. Shame on you, Katherine in Pharmacy!

The people were kind of large, but the food was standard size.

They have the worst phone service. Got hung up on 4 times and Caitie a employee while I was still talking to customer service while she transferred me to another department then the phone hung up. Micheal was the other employee from customer service at the time that could not answer the phone. The manager handled the situation very well better than I thought changed my mind on the situation helped me put their how busy they are in perspective.

This is a good store. This is the place I go when I want to quickly pick up a couple of items.

I have been a Giant shopper ever since the 80’s when it was Park and Shop. It feels like home to me because the people who work there are like old friends and are always eager to help. I like the size as I don’t enjoy extremely large stores. I can be in and out of this Giant much faster. I always see lots of people I know who shop there as well and this makes it a pleasant outing.

That giant is a great store. Ive been going there for years. I also believe the prices are good

A nice smaller grocery store but very convenient to The University of Mary Washington. It’s has about everything you need without having to walk around the larger stores. I give it a 4-1/2 only because it’s smaller. But they do have about anything you need from Flowers to Fresh shrimp.

The cashier Dawn is really nice and the deli worker Pam is also really caring. They make a point to get to know you and your family. This Giant really feels like part of the community.

Be careful when you buy your groceries at this Giant. Please check your receipt very carefully and check the expiration date on anything you buy from here . Almost ever time I do my weekly grocery shopping; I discover several items priced wrong and not according to their weekly ad. When you bring it to the customer service counter they give you big time attitude and some hard time. Don’t dare and bother the lady manager there simply because you will regret it. You wouldn’t believe her attitude and you can see its reflection in the produce; meat and customer service Dept. When this store starts to loose lots money I hope Giant Cooperate Office Can joe understand why??!!!!!!

Good store. I love that they would steam your seafood for you. The store is clean cut a bit cramped and gives you a feel of not well kept. They have an amazing salad bar fresh and soup for $5.99 per lb. The fruit is fresh and may be better than other places. My only problem with them is their prices are a bit high unless an item is on sale.

Only open regersters were check yourself out. Really, your spending your hard earned money and have to bag your own grocery. Very sad. Maybe the college students dont mind but I do. Time to travel to publix where shopping is a pleasure not a chore.

It is a busy grocery store with a adequate selection of products. That clerk placed my bread items with canned goods! And, she was reluctant to help me put my bags into the cart. I felt rushed along.

The store is clean and the produce is good, which is the only reason i gave it a star, at all...I had, hands down, the WORST shopping experience of my life at this store! ...This was the first time Ive ever shopped at this particular Giant, mind you, and halfway through my shopping, an older blonde lady (whom I assume is the manager) began blatantly walking up and down the isles and following me, all the while, giving me the nastiest looks. I finally understood after about the 3rd isle of this, that she must believe me to be some sort of thief, which I certainly am NOT. I became even MORE aware of this, and extremely offended, when I reached the self-check out station and the clerk proceeded to make snide, presumptuous remarks about how much stuff I had, as if to imply I couldnt possibly have the money for it all, and then INSISTED she help ring me up, which I let her do- and I would have had no problem with this at all, if she was actually trying to be HELPFUL. She also completely ignored every other customer checking out the entire time!...if anyone WAS trying to steal, they certainly wouldve been able to do so without difficulty!!I dont know if they just had a problem with how I looked or what, but it was completely uncalled for and BEYOND rude...theyre actually lucky I was in a decent mood and bit my tongue! Therefore, I will NEVER go to this Giant again!...very disappointing from a store thats main purpose is serving college students!

Awful people to deal with, the manager is a smart mouth disrespectful person, had them charge me twice for a transaction, andcthen tried to weasel out of it, she said she couldnt find where my card was charged twice, but I have the transaction numbers for both, take my business elsewhere

Its an older Giant, but its clean and uncluttered. Perfect for a quick visit or your whole shopping list. Certain times of the day, it has VERY long lines. The self checkout makes for a quicker exit sometimes. Most of the cashiers are quick and friendly. Check out all the organic and NON-GMOS items, throughout the store. Great meat & produce selection.

In town visiting from New Jersey. Stopped in on Saturday to pick up some items. Great service, pricing, and selection. Especially wanted to give a shout out to Debra ( Dee) at the register. Super polite and friendly.

Simple grocery store. Nothing fancy or special about it. Dry goods, alcohol, frozen, candy, drinks, produce, meat and dairy sections. Prices arent terrible. If you need a few things here and there it would be a nice place to pick up a few items. It can be pretty busy at times and take awhile to get through the checkout.

Watch out for Gerald at the Eagle Village location. He is creepy. He will stare at you while you are self checking out with this dead cold look. He always works register 1 closest to the self check out. He is seriously gross, creepy and disturbed. Female customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable while shopping. I reported him to Barb the manager. If you have the same experience speak up ladies and let management know, Gerald has to go!

Ive been shopping at Giant grocery store for 50+ years. My first Giant grocery store experience was in Baltimore county, when Mr. Cohen owned and actually stopped by the store.Giant had always been the gold standard for grocery shoppers; I just wish there were more!

I have loved Giant for years. They have the best salad bar in town in the supermarket category. I believe the salad bar option is what has kept a lot of people.

We all have our experiences wherever we shop, but, I never really have any problems with the people there. And yes, you do have to check your receipt, but, thats anywhere you shop.!

I would never come back to this store. I greeted the cashier and she neither greeted me nor appreciated my visit. However I heard she greeted every other customers and said thank you to everyone of them. Sorry Giant, you just lose one of your loyal customers.

Like to see Giant give some recognition to an excellent cashier: Gerald Campbell. He is always helpful and pleasant. He is a credit to the company!

They may not always have what I want - HOWEVER: If I cant find it they help me find it; They are always polite and helpful; Their prices are competitive and reasonable in most areas; They carry organics. I will shop here before facing the others because 99% of the time they have what I want, I save time (which is money) and I do not have to deal with hordes of people.

I shopped here when I was in college and it was a nice walk down memory lane. The price of steamed spiced shrimp is very reasonable in comparison to other suppliers.

Average grocery, never had an issue with quality of any of their products. Prices are fairly higher than competitors on many products though. Only reason I visit is that its very close.
