From breakfast dates to family dinners, birthday celebrations to just a random stop in, the entire team has always been amazing. The food is always the best, the ice cream spot on. Now adding in the coffee and hall have made this family very very happy. My parents love coming into town to visit and stopping by for the selection of candies. We love the deli and bakery items. And BACON AND DONUT SATURDAYS!!!

What an amazing first time experience. The mixologists doing the coffee made us special drinks and they were to die for. The Riley sandwich was mouth watering deliciousness. And the milkshake speaks for itself. Cant wait to go back.

Found this gem because of Instagram pics. Just want to share that the fancy specialties are seasonal and it changes. When we came it was pumpkin spice with pumpkin cheesecake ( milkshake ), there are 2 specials one with coffee would be available at the coffee counter and the milkshake one, you order it through the ice cream counter. The counters are across from each other. I went with friends and we got coffee and milkshakes. I got myself a oreo, coffee with whipped cream and extra Oreos. My friend ordered the specialties since I am allergic to cinnamon:( but no worries I got the pictures :). We also got some Fresh doughnuts from Yoder kitchen that parked outside. Def recommended this place ! Awesome friendly staffs as well!!!

Amazing! I was enjoying my sandwich when a yellow jacket started to enjoy it as well. My friend got the attention of Michael and he immediately acted. When he returned he also brought Lauren and she offered a free sandwich. I was shocked and didnt expect it. After receiving the sandwich both Michael and Lauren chatted with my friend and I. It was such a wonderful experience. Definitely will be returning. Especially when the desserts are so exquisite!

Amazing place. We had so much fun walking the aisles, ordering better than Starbucks coffee and getting a yummy breakfast. What a friendly staff. I would drive far out of my way to come here again.

This place is great! They have a nice Amish country store with fresh baked goods and deli, their bacon is amazing, and their sandwiches are delicious. Their milkshakes of the week are works of art! Wait times for ice cream can be long so be prepared for that, but it is understandable considering the care they put into making it perfect. I would recommend ordering your ice cream first and then grabbing a sandwich and check out the store while you wait.

This place was pretty cool and random. Drove by it by accident, looked cool, so we turned around. Once we got th ed re I had no idea what to expect. There was a long line for the ice cream shop, but looked well worth it. There was also a coffee shop inside. As far as merchandise, they had a full assortment. A deli, bakery, meats, ect.Wierd place, but pretty homie.

What a neat experience. The ice cream is amazing. Best coffee I’ve ever had. I had a BLT with egg and cheese. It was so good!! All the employees were great and very helpful. It was great talking to the owner, he showed us how he roast his coffee on site. He even has his own special recipe. It was so good I had to get a couple bags to take home. I can’t wait till we can order the coffee online.

Worth a visit! The takeout sandwiches and ice cream creations are delicious. There’s plenty of covered seating on the front deck or picnic benches on grass along the side.

We loved this place! The sandwiches were delicious! We got the big messy, turkey, and grilled cheese and all 3 were delicious. The ice cream was just what we hoped it would be! So rich and creamy. They also gave us boxes to take parts of it home because there was no way to finish it! The staff couldnt have been nicer and both the store and the tables outside were clean and organized nicely. Very fun time!

This place is amazing! This is my new favorite store. I just moved to the area and found this nice spot. Everything Ive had from this place so far is outstanding and fresh. The customer service is great as well. If youre in the area, make sure you come by this place. You will not be disappointed

This place is awesome from the deserts to the deli in the back. Ive come here so many times I cant even count. Also the weekly creations are amazing to look at! Im not that big on sweets, so a nice simple sundae is my go to. Definitely have to come if in the area.

Great prices, wonderful atmosphere. The staff were friendly and polite. My Banana Caramel Shake was to die for. Sat around the gas fire pit with my wife and daughter.

My kids got milkshakes, hubby got one of the weekly specialty shakes, and I got a caramel macchiato. All of it was really good and came out promptly. The store is really cute and has a lot of snack type goods. The sandwich shop is also really good, theyre very generous with the meat and theyre well worth the money.

The presentation of the milkshakes and fraps is unbeatable! However, the prices are way too high now and the wait time for sandwiches is insane. You cant have a sandwich and drink at the same time, its always packed. They should really speed up their service. While the frappé looked great, it did not taste half as good as one from Sbucks for example...

Quaint country store perfect for your odds and ends. A neat variety of treats. The staff are friendly too. Only negative is it’s a pretty small space it’s and it’s always busy.

My favorite thing might be the updates (I just realized are a thing on Google maps, how can I get notifications for them?!). Whoever writes those is fantastic! We love this store. They have the best, biggest sandwiches! The ice cream is amazing. Theres so much candy, you arent leaving without some. We love the preserves, fresh food items, spices and random things you dont expect to find here.

Well worth it. ⭐️ From their own candy, chocolates, jams, pies, cinnamon rolls to their awesome bacon, deli sandwiches, angus beef and chorizo burgers and artistically made ice cream. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Very well organized and excellent customer service. We bought a 12 ounce container of peanut butter fudge. A big disappointment. Tasted like a large amount of vegetable oil, and very little peanut butter. We bought several other candies there and they were very good.

I love the Battlefield Country Store, and generally never have anything but a positive experience, especially with the people working there, so this is a very minor complaint. I bought some potato salad yesterday and was having a small scoop with my sausage this morning. The potatoes were way under cooked and crunchy. The flavor was delicious but the hard potatoes were off putting.

Wonderful store, food, and staff. Great place for RV overnight stay.

This place is amazing. I went for the first time today and had a great time! The milkshakes were a little pricey but you wont find anything like it elsewhere. The heated bourbon chicken sandwich was great in taste and portion size! I highly recommend

I’ve been several times for breakfast. Excellent breakfast burrito, and very good coffee. Good service and always feel welcome here. Outdoor seating is great, but the yellowjackets can be a problem.

What an amazing store and team of terrific people. Spent an entire day and night enjoying the hospitality and delicious foods, sweets, pies, ice cream and coffees. Purchased the battlefield coffee beans to take home and was not disappointed in the flavor and aroma of the extremely well roasted beans. Will be ordering regularly once the site is up and running. I will be back to visit and enjoy all they have to offer.

This place was chaotic! Like in that good way where everyone is excited!Weve been tracking the trending of this place and since today is my birthday hell yeah lets go! I am a 6ft 200lb man and my pregnant wife and I couldnt finish our sandwiches that were bigger than our faces!The sandwiches werent just big! They were essentially simple clean ingredients made simply delicious! Cant wait to return for a weekly burger deal or the crab sandwiches!And we always transport our bacon back from a farm in Ohio that smokes it to perfection but am excited for the 10lbs we got from Battlefield!!! The Battlefield Country Store was such an amazing experience! Was in Virginia visiting with my Marine son and he took us there. The sandwiches are AMAZING! So fresh. The ice cream, words cant describe. Cant wait to go back. Highly recommend this place

You have to come here and get their weekly milkshake special! While youre here, pick up a ten pound box of bacon and done cinnamon bears. Also, their bulk seasonings are amazingly priced compared to supermarket prices, all whilst being off far higher quality!

Prices range from high to very high on just about everything. Customer service is hit or miss depending on the employee. Their coffee flavored ice cream is the worst Ive ever had, but their cookie dough is the best Ive ever had. My ice cream order was correct on the receipt, but it was wrong when it was handed to me. The employee said sorry and fixed it immediately when I let her know though and was very nice about it. Their outdoor seating area is nice, but they definitely need more tables and seats around the property. They dont clean the outdoor tables so theyre kinda sticky and gross. One of the swinging benches was also broken. Overall, not the worst establishment, but definitely not up to par with the prices youre paying.

Huge selection of items, including some local treats. Also a great place to grab a bite to eat, either at the deli in the back or getting ice cream up front. They have tons of choices for flavors, toppings, etc. I was told the coffee area in the back is a recent addition, where they make their own caffeinated sodas. Unfortunately I didnt get to try those but still unique nonetheless. Id definitely come back here again.

We were recently in Fredricksburg for a family event and we ordered a sandwich platter, veggie platter and fruit platter. To say these platters were fabulous is an understatement! Everything was very well done and very fresh! Highly recommend them if you are in the area and need some platters for any type of get together. We ordered the medium platters and had MORE than enough for 7 people.

I first stopped here on the way home from my daughter’s school in Amherst and fell in love on my first visit. Gastronomic Treat of the Decade! And now I stop by every opportunity I get! Quality everything, meats, cheeses, sides, ice cream, and now the coffee bar. Can’t wait to go again! Worth the hour and a half drive from Southern MD for a day trip.

They have the best sandwiches! Love the Saturday bacon specials. The Philly Cheesesteaks are amazing. We have to drive an hour to get here but it is well worth it. Plenty of walking trails nearby. I discovered this store while visiting the battlefield across the highway.

We got the shake of the week and it was delicious! It was large enough to feed my 2 kids and myself. It was really busy so I had time to browse the aisles. I found a few good treasures and cashed out before they called my name.

Amazing experience at the Battlefield Coffee Company. They were adjusting the grinder after I ordered my espresso. The owner felt generous and gave me a cake on the house since I had to wait a little for my order. It was not necessary or expected - but was over the top generosity!Highly recommend for both taste and customer experience!

Great sandwiches, terrible treats. The sandwiches are truly great here. Plenty of meat and some good choices for ingredients to add. Everything else we got was terrible. The whoopie pie filling tasted like chemicals. The smores candy tasted like coffee. The candied nuts were generic and needed salt. The pralines had artificial flavor added.

Great food, love the retail side. It has many things you like for the stuff you knew as a kid, as well as some really good food and ice cream when youre hungry now or hanging out with family. Today was a nice day so we sat on some benches that were provided beside the parking lot and it was a nice time. it does get sunny over there so bring some shade like a pop up canopy if youre settling in for an hour. This has become a very popular little store in Fredericksburg. They have interesting items for sale by weight. The ice creams look fantastic and Ive had many people tell me its amazing. Prices are just a tad on the high side, but they give back to the community, so Im ok with paying a little extra.

First time at BCS and Im impressed, the prices are fair, sandwiches are very good, shake are a bit pricey but when you get one and see it you will understand why. I did not care for the unorganized way they handle orders and paying for items. It is chaos but it works for them. If you havent been its worth the visit. You can find your hard to find snacks here..candy, chocolate, pretzels, etc.

We heard about this place from friends and foodie groups and it lived up to the hype! The sandwiches from the deli were amazing and the Finn shake was beyond words. The store overall was very clean and well staffed to handle all the people either shopping, ordering from the deli or ordering ice cream. The staff was friendly and courteous taking time to answer questions and still keep everything moving. Plenty of parking was available even during a very busy time on a Saturday. There was even a relatively hidden place by the trees behind the parking lot with tables and chairs if you dont want to eat in your car. We will definitely be back!

The best country-style, overstuffed deli sandwiches in VA! Lots of meat (favorites are oil browned turkey, German bologna, roast beef), sturdy store-made bread, great extras to put into sandwiches (banana peppers, spicy mustard, etc.).Sandwiches and milkshakes are worth traveling for. We regularly drive over an hour just to eat here.

This place is really awesome. Great atmosphere and food for lunch is very reasonably priced. Lots of great products to choose from. Check out the size of this sandwich. My wife and I ate here it it ran about 14.76 for 2 combos. Huge sandwich. Will be back and recommend for sure.

Sandwiches and Ice cream concoctions were stellar but the shopping was a little lacking. There were a lot of aisles with candy and we thought there might be more local produce than that was there for a country store. Still well worth the visit!

Husband ordered a banana split. It was huge & ice cream quality was very good; however, it is the first time either of us has ordered a banana split that came with no toppings. Toppings could have been ordered at additional price, but clerk did not explain this. I ordered a hot fudge sundae with soft serve. Again, quality & quantity of ice cream was good, but there was very little hot fudge.

Drove an hour to this place, and it was definitely worth the drive! The milkshakes are enormous, unique, and delicious. The sandwiches they make are top-notch and use the Freshest Ingredients and bread. Customer service was superior as well; they even delivered my milkshake to my car while I waited. Long wait to order and get food, but I say it’s worth the wait for the quality and service you receive.The only con I saw was not everyone wearing a mask inside when I last went. Other than that, this place is excellent!

Great store to stop at! They have so many different products to buy. Love their sandwiches! They also have ice cream available which is a huge hit with the kids. Prices are very fair and staff is very friendly. They have plenty of seating available.

I always enjoy my time shopping here. Theyve added a coffee bar since my last visit and I think they are still working out some kinks. I love Chai tea but mine lacked the full flavor Ive come to expect. I also think the pricing is a tad high for the community they serve. That said, the cashier and barrista were very friendly and helpful answering my sisters questions. Separately, we ordered the king crab sandwich for 17.99. Steep, right? It was an experience for sure, but not one we plan to repeat. Save your coins and go with one of their other wallet friendly fill you up all day sandwiches instead. Trust...you wont be disappointed. Up for a splurge then definitely order something from their ice cream bar and be prepared to share it with a friend or two. Decadence at its best!
