Flowers by Val went beyond my expectations! The first shop I called made me feel like a burden and made me look up the arrangement myself and tell them what flowers were included to even see if it was available. But when I called flowers by Val, they were so nice and welcoming! They were able to create my arrangement for a funeral in a days notice and it was absolutely beautiful. They took their time and were so nice. The customer service was outstanding, would definitely recommend to everyone!

If I could add more stars I would. Flowers by Val has been my go to for flowers over the past 5 years. She never disappoints in the creativity and quality we have received. I love this place due to them always having sunflowers into mid November for my wifes birthday. Each bouquet is never the same, and for this it brings a bright smile to my wifes face.

My visit at Flowers by Val was great! The shop is full of fun things like sculpture, candles, and of course gorgeous gorgeous flowers! Their kissing booth was up early in honor of Valentine’s Day, which was cute. There is a really lovely spot with a table to sit and write the card to go with the flowers. Most importantly, Val asked my price range and what type of flowers the recipient liked. My friend LOVED her bright arrangement and immediately contacted me and posted pictures online. Flowers by Val is by far the BEST florist in Fredericksburg. I sent the absolute most beautiful arrangement to my family for Thanksgiving. If I could give this florist 6 stars, I would. I called 2 other florists who were not able to fill my order. Flowers by Val not only filled it, but created a beautiful arrangement at a reasonable cost. I was concerned that after being turned down by two other local florists, I would not be able to send flowers to a dear friends funeral. Val saved the day. Flowers By Val saved the day! I initially ordered flowers from somewhere else and the other place called me the day before the delivery and told me my delivery was out of delivery zone and refused to go out even though I offered to pay more. I called Flowers by Val and was greeted by a very friendly woman. She did state that the location was out of her usual range but had no problem going there. I offered to pay more and she said that was not necessary. They also price mated what I would have paid the other company. My husband is overseas and sent me flowers. We paid 91.51, subtract the delivery fee of $10 and the online ordering fee of $6.85 and you are left with approximately $75 not taking tax into consideration. This is NOT a $75 bouquet. This is a handful of roses and lilys and a ton of filler. Thats it. I can get this at Costco minus the glass vase for around $20.I went on their website and they have bouquets of all roses and all lilys or all tulips for significantly less. I honestly feel that they took advantage of the fact that my husband is deployed and would not know the difference.Beautiful flowers and beautiful bouquet but not worth what we paid for it.

I lost my mom recently and was planning all of her funeral arrangements. I was very stressed. I went to Val the morning of my moms funeral trying not to cry and asked if a casket spread could be made. Val was so warm, looked at me and said yes. They made it that day for me and delivered it to the funeral home. I am so very appreciative for their kindness and the spread was very large and beautiful. I know my mother would approve. I had her laid to rest with the flowers on top as well. I miss and love my mom so much. Thank you Val for making the experience with your store during this tough time a pleasant one.

If you are looking for something Unique and not the run of the mill everyday arrangement, This is the florist to use. I have NEVER been disappointed in any arrangement I have ordered. I always give Val complete artistic control and ask her to make sure it has whimsy and movement. She is definitely the Flower Whisperer!

The owner Val is a nasty, mean person. I had seen her at A.C. Moore multiple times before they closed, she’d get the roughed up, clearance 99¢ flowers and scratched up clearance stuff to recreate her bouquets that she sells for shameful prices. Luckily I only had to wait behind her once in line and she always had to fight the cashier over the VERY obvious prices, no misunderstanding, just her being a “Karen.” She was always so very rude to the poor girls working the register, too young and inexperienced to know how to deal with a terrible person like that. I was curious to see if her bouquets were actually presentable, so I looked online, and all I saw were dollar store baskets and clearance flowers with missing petals from acmoore, pathetic and cheap. I would not recommend her bouquets when Michael’s and other craft stores sell them for less and at the same quality...

I stopped by her shop prior to opening hours to pick up an orchid for my bride of 57 years. she opened early, fixed up a BEAUTIFUL double orchid, added some sprigs of decoration, and sent me on my way for a VERY REASONABLE fee.I MOST CERTAINLY will return to her establishment for all future floral requirements.JR (a.k.a. Shopping in this establishment was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in downtown Fredericksburg! I had previously gone into the store a few days earlier and had not a bad thing to say. I purchased two beautiful flowerpots as gifts for Mothers Day and when I arrived home my daughter-in-law wanted to purchase one for her own mother. Today we go back to the store and there is one more pot left so we pick it up and fill it with other goodies from the store. We get to the cashier counter and the sweet lady there was about to ring us up when the owner tells her she cannot sell us the pot because she just hung up with a customer that placed a flower order and wanted that pot for the arrangement. I told her that was unacceptable because it was on the floor for sale and we had been walking around the store with it in our hands the entire time we were there. I also tell her that that flower pot was the only reason we came to town and that a person shopping IN the store walking around with the item should take precedence over a telephone customer. I told her if she didnt sell us the pot that we came to get then I would not be leaving a good review for her store. She refused to sell me the item and loudly asked that I leave her store immediately. In addition she takes her hand and puts it on my shoulder and practically pushes me out of the store!!!! I have never been treated so badly by a store owner in my life. Please be cautious when you deal with this woman, she is not a nice person!!!!

My daughter was disappointed on her wedding day. She wanted fall flowers with fall colors, including some cream colored flowers. Half of the arrangements were all cream colored besides greenery. They used purple instead of blue. Barely a splash of orange and burgundy in her bouquet. We went in months before to plan with one floral designer, unfortunately she left a few moths later and before the wedding. We went to the store to clarify and complete the order, handwritten notes were made, but we never received another email confirming our order. So our Church order was incomplete - no arrangements for the pews. We went to pay at the store in downtown Fredericksburg, they had moved locations and hadn’t told us. I went by a few days ago to voice our disappointment. Again, disorganization. There was one excuse after another throughout the ordeal.

I had a wonderful experience with Flowers by Val! My son asked us to host his wedding in our back yard. Val took the time to make us beautiful sprays that attached to our gazebo. She made gorgeous center pieces for the reception tables that were large floral spheres attached to tall vases. All the bouquets and boutonieres were absolutely stunning! I would recommend her for any of your floral arrangements.

This was awhile back and had forgotten to leave a review but I was going to a friends house to have dinner with her family and wanted to bring something with me. I went in and told them just that and that I was looking for something colorful when they asked if I had any preferences or requests. They asked how much I was looking to spend and I gave them a price and they proceeded to put together a wonderful bouquet of flowers. The family loved it and even a few days later when I went over they would look at the flowers and tell me they were wonderful. I will definitely be coming back whenever I need flowers. They also have a bunch of decorations and gifts for special occasions around the store which I happened to browse thru as they put the bouquet together and saw a few things that would make wonderful birthday or holiday presents.

On Valentines Day, my boyfriend ordered flowers for me from here. All day, we heard nothing from the shop, but it got later and later with no flower delivery. Eventually they came at around 9pm but there was never an apology or discount or anything offered. I have no intentions of doing business with this establishment again.

Val did my wedding florals. They were phenomenal! She did a garland on our head table and centerpieces on pub tables, and bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres for my bridal party. Loved working with such a sweet lady!

2/19/20. Used Avas flowers to order through them and the arrangement is a disaster! Wilted flowers and flowers that are not in the picture! I want my money back or I’m reporting this business to the better business bureau! Don’t order from them or Avas flowers! Disgraceful!😡😡

I went in on Monday, January 29th to order some flowers for the King George Mother & Son/Father & Daughter dances this weekend. I wanted a barrette with flowers for myself to wear (so my infant son wouldnt tear apart a corsage) and a wrist corsage for my daughter to wear. I provided my name, cell phone number, and all of the details for both pieces (white roses with only a blue ribbon on the barrette and white roses with a blue and purple ribbon on the corsage). The (male) salesperson said I could pay for them when I picked them up. When my husband went in yesterday (February 2nd) to pick up the order, the order was not done at all because they had 1 question about my piece. The salesperson hadnt written down that I wanted a barrette. The order slip said barrette or hair clip. The salesperson also did not apparently record my contact information properly, because they could not call me to clarify. So, instead of making the wrist corsage and picking a barrette or hair clip to complete the order, this shop did nothing. My husband said he still wanted our daughters corsage and they offered to deliver it for free today. He paid full price for the corsage. I didnt need my piece because the Mother & Son dance was last night. (I ended up staying home to work on schoolwork.) The corsage was delivered today, but the roses are obviously bruised. This shops customer service is very poor. I was very excited about having a florist open in this part of the county again, but I know after this experience that Im better off taking my business elsewhere.

I couldnt be happier with the bridal arrangements Vals was able to do on very short notice (read, one hour before closing). Bouttenieres, bridal bouquet, and flower girl bouquet all were beautiful, high quality, and arranged with obvious regard to my description of everyones planned wedding garb. The service was impeccable, non rushed, and friendly. I highly recommend them for any situation that requires flowers.

I ordered my bouquet for my wedding months ahead of time and the day I picked it up, it was not what I ordered. The flowers came in the wrong color, so the florist just made a completely different bouquet instead of even calling to discuss options. After taking the bouquet home and refrigerating it overnight, I woke up to a dead bouquet on my wedding day. She has not returned my calls. Awful experience. Unprofessional and a waste of my money.
