My wife and I have been shopping at Middle Davids Candles for over a decade. The candles smell great and are higher quality than what youll find at a big box candle shop. But what keeps us coming back is the tremendous value this little candle shop brings to our community.At the start of the pandemic, a local classic movie theater was on the verge of closing its doors. Middle Davids created a candle in honor of the theater (it smelled like popcorn and you can still buy it) and held a fundraiser. They gave away 100% of the revenue to the theater (keep in mind their business was restricted due to Covid and it would have been reasonable for them to keep a portion of the sales).Thats the type of people you are supporting when you buy from Middle Davids.

Despite so often being opposites, the words professional and personal both come to mind, as co-owner Tauria was warm, efficient, attentive, thoughtful, and communicative on all fronts. We had the feeling that not only were we personally invested in the creation of our bookstores line of literary candles, but so was Tauria--thats the kind of partnership that independent businesses really excel at, and Middle Davids goes above and beyond. Not only did we have an exceptional experience--but this was during the busiest time of year for retailers, and it felt like the entire Middle Davids crew put in an extra effort to get our candles hand-picked, poured, labeled, and shipped in record time. Our bookstore is over 500 miles away from Middle Davids, but they made us feel like neighbors. If youre a business considering private labeling or wholesaling candles, were convinced you wont find a better candlemaker than Middle Davids, and if youre lucky enough to live near or pass through Franklin, you better stop by and support this 5-star family business!

Ordered a care package online for a last minute Mother’s Day present. I was able to pick up last minute as well.The candle smells amazing and the soap does as well. I love the coaster that comes with it. I may have to buy myself a care package as well.Also, I cannot wait for them to open back up inside so I can smell all of their scents!

Stopped by during the Farmers Market, wonderful service. They also had some lovely live music out front.

For those looking to support local business, this shop is a must. They feature an ever-changing and diverse array of scented candles (and wax melts!!) at reasonable prices. They also carry local artists work including cards, jewelry, and housewares. I love to come here for housewarming or wedding gifts.

My husband bought me a candle subscription through their Making Light online store and I loved the candles so much, that I have been ordering more throughout the years from Middle Davids Artisan Candles. I love all of their scents and the materials are high quality. Also, Dan and Tauria are really friendly and kind. I appreciate their special touches with sending extra tea light candles and thoughtfulness in their notes and emails. Anyway, I really like this company and they have the best candles I have found. I recently ordered their wax melts and I’m liking those too!
