I tried this bakery as a random choice, because I needed a Good German Chocolate Birthday cake for my son. I called and talked to Barbara a couple of times and she was super helpful and kind, then I was able to message some details with the decorating team to add some extra details to the cake. They were very professional and passionate about helping me get what I had in mind. The cake was fresh, moist, and delicious!!!! My son loved it and the rest of us did too! My only thought other than wonderful was that the cake seemed kind of … short? Or small? But I would definitely order again from this bakery, maybe upsize next time.Thanks Swiss Bakery for a great Job 👏

We picked up their signature Black Forest Cake (Uncake) to celebrate a friends birthday. Coming from Austin, this was my first time trying this cake and Im absolutely devastated that this is a Fort Worth only shop. It was delicious and Im going to have to visit town more often for this sweet treat.Edit: I was driving from Austin to Arkansas and I knew what I had to do...I ordered and picked up the Black Forest Cake when I passed through :) It survived a 6+ hr drive quite successfully without an ice chest and now I have gotten more friends obsessed with a cake that they cant get in Arkansas.

The Philly cheese steak was the best thing on the menu today! Super tender meat great cheese sauce nice fresh roll. 😋 I was not impressed with my corned beef sandwich I thought it was dry. Black Forest cake slice and pastries were so delicious

Had a chance to stop by & give a taste. We werent disappointed. The rolls have a cake rolled around a cream. Well, the cream is real tasty, but the cake itself is kind of dry. I guess it needs to be in order to roll it. The best thing we had was the strawberry tart. It was emeritus that I wanted. Theyre not serving any dinner at this time. I guess well have to come back to try it out.

We love Swiss Pastry Shop whether its to get a good meal or our favorite pastries, cakes, and/or cookies to go, we have never been disappointed. Their Coconut Cream Pie with either meringue or whipped cream topping are the pastry dreams are made of and you want another as soon as the one you bought has been finished off! My husband loves their pastry wrapped sausage for for breakfast or as a snack. Stop by, youll be glad you did!

Had a slice of Red Velvet and Loved it! Def one of the better slices I have had out there, perfectly moist to me!Italian Cream sets the standard for what I expect for this type of cake. Maybe a little too much going on with the insides but still fantastic.I have to try their Black forest cake someday :( i did not see any in the shelf.

What an absolutely amazing place this is! And incredibly inexpensive! I fully intend to go here 5-10 more times in the next two weeks so I can try as much as possible.Dont be afraid to ask for a slice of cake or pie even if they havent been cut yet. Or get a full pie for $17!My mind is blown!

Atmosphere is a bit lacking, but the food is excellent and reasonably priced. In particular if youre looking for a good Muffelatta sandwich in Fort Worth this is a great option and much better than any chains. Desserts are also great and cheap.

Excellent bakery - my family and I stop here at least once a week, and get treats for Saturday breakfast regularly. The cakes, pies, pastries, and savory treats are all good - you can’t miss. My favorites in each category are Black Forest cake, Dutch strawberry rhubarb pie, fig kouign amann, and spinach and mushroom quiche. These are just a few of my favorites, but I recommend you go try these and the other treats out for yourself. As an extra, the staff are kind and the prices are probably too low for the quality you are getting. Seriously, go check it out.

Folks are so nice here and I didnt feel rushed at all. I was able to take a look, not stand in a long line and get some treats for a great price! This cinnamon roll was just $1. Mind blown.

Love the pastries here! They certainly have something for everyone. Theyve recently reopened for lunch which did not disappoint. Portions were huge! But most importantly the ladies behind the counter are sweeter than the desserts!

Love love love this Swiss Pastry Shop! The ladies at the front are very helpful and friendly, always helping out with selection and suggestions. I have quite a bit of favorites here including the cream cheese and jalapeño stuffed croissant, and my favorite of all time their famous Black Forest cake.... so delicious!

First time there, I ordered several slices so my family and I could sample, they were all amazing!! I loved the lemon meringue the best. My husband loved the pecan pie, my oldest loved the apple pie, my youngest lived the strawberry rhubarb turnover, my youngest daughter loves the strawberry cheesecake, and my oldest daughter like the all. So with all honesty, everyone has a different pallet, but we were all completely satisfied. They did not taste overly sweet, you could taste the ingredients not sugar.

First to know, theres nothing especially bad about the place from our visit there. Friendly staff and a busy-but-cozy atmosphere. The 3 Star rating is for the desserts; in simple words there is far too much sugar incorporated into the recipes. Concerning the swiss rolls specifically, the more subtle and complex notes of the chocolate cake and creme were quickly overtaken by raw sugar flavor and I found myself removing the ganache/fondant on the outside just to appreciate the creme and bittersweet notes. The Napoleon suffered from the same issue, where the creme and graham center really played second fiddle to the super sweet, but single note, flavor of the icing. I really wanted to like them, but the lack of flavor complexity really seems more appropriate for a childs capacity for sugar tolerance.

The best service I have had in ages, sweet smile, lots of suggestions. I wanted to take it all home. I NEEDED a lemon meringue pie for supper right now and they not only had one but it is beautiful. Ill report on taste another time. The pastry I bought for myself was perfection. Dont hesitate.

When they told me the total for the 2 giant boxes of pastries, I legitimately thought I was robbing them. Seriously, we bought 14 HUGE pastries, of excellent, wonderful, beautiful quality, and paid less than $15.I robbed them. Theres no other explanation for those prices. Clearly they counted only 3 of those pastries! How else did we walk out with all of that and pay so little? I should have been arrested for walking out of those doors with those boxes in my hand!I 10000% believe they can raise their prices to quadruple what they charge and everyone would happily pay them, no complaint. Those pastries are AMAZING, the workers so sweet and charming, and my god the next time Im in town I am going back and dropping some MONEY in that place!

I have ordered, picked up and eaten the pies from the Swiss Pastry Shop three different times and they have never disappointed. Their pies are amazing and pretty cheap for how great they are and the size you get! The presentation of the pies are great too. I go out of my way to get these! Friendly service every time too!

The lemon meringue tasted so not homemade. The lemon meringue Tate’s like it was canned and artificially altered. When the lemon meringue looks greenish yellow due to food coloring then you know it’s not homemade!I’ve bought other deserts there and it was good. Just would not recommend lemon meringue.

Friendly service over the phone but upon picking up the two front counter girls were extremely rude to the customers. They kept justifying by saying they were short staffed. This isn’t a customer issue and I think they forget our patronage keeps a paycheck in their hands. I hope they can find more quality customer service oriented help.

I had the beef cheese steak and my husband had the Reuben and they were both very good we also had a strawberry cheesecake. Just sorry they are not open for dinner anymore their lunch is until 2:30 the bakery is open till 5

This place is AMAZING!!! I recently got a Black Forest cake for my bday and it blew my mind. SO GOOD. Other treats are just as amazing and my dog loved their doggie doughnuts. Barbara was fantastic! Definitely gonna be somewhere we go all the time now. My waistline is the only thing that’s gonna be unhappy lol

Quaint no frills atmosphere, but fantastic food. Always come prepared to eat desert. A Fort Worth favorite for almost 50 years. They survived the COVID-19 closures and are open now.

Their cheeseteak was so yummy and has so much flavor. The sausage was ok, i think its good with beer. Their fudge cake is so moist and the frosting is really decadently good. I tried 3 items in their bakery and pastry and its all good.

Great breakfast treat. The cinnamon bun were a mixture of perfect ingredients. Especially the cinnamon and sugar ratio. Kolaches were hot, smoke flavor and just plain good. Ill be back.

Order whatever Hans has on the specials board: last week it was pecan-smoked pork shoulder in a sandwich he named THE HILLBILLY HAND GRENADE: half a pound of intensely smokey pork shoulder shaved thin with serrano bleu cheese coleslaw on top and a house made bun. I come to Swiss Pastry Shop exclusively for their Black Forest Cake! It is unbelievably delicious! You will need to call and order one in advance, but it is absolutely 100% worth it! I can’t comment on their other offerings, but I have no doubt everything is tasty!

Great standard of Fort worth. If you havent been here you dont know fort worth. Home of the uncake the Black Forest Cake is a masterpiece. We would get one for my brother every birthday and every time he came home from deployment. Non of their pastries will dissapoint.

The double raspberry chocolate cake has good flavor and was a little on the dry side! which it should not!I also purchased the coconut cake which was a big disappointment!Very dry sub quality white icing Crisco! The philly cheese steak sandwich was delicious! But we bought a whole black forest cake to take home...imagine our surprise when we cut it and found it was not a Black forest cake at all! There were no cherries, and no chocolate cake. It was an almond merangue filled with whipped cream and topped with lots of grated chocolate. It was really good, but very different than expected. The pastries looked beautiful!

This breakfast and lunch spot has been around since the early 70s and continues to be a family (and an amazing family Ill add) ran business in the cultural district of Fort Worth. We treated our taste buds and stomachs with delicious burgers (Mushroom and Killerbee) which were hand made and stacked so high it barely fit in my mouth. If we werent in food heaven already we then had a piece of German chocolate pie and the house specialty black forest cake. Highly recommended slot for great food served to you by exceptional people!

There are so many great options here and everyone is really friendly. I would have given 5 stars, but I wasnt a fan of the cake we got. Im not sure what it was called, but it was their specialty. It is like malt balls with ice cream in the center. My grandfather liked it, but everyone else didnt really care for it. I think it is for people with a certain kind of palette, but Im sure the others are great. I also got a personal size pumpkin cheesecake for myself and that was awesome!

Great pastries and lunch items from a Fort Worth legend thats been around for at least 40 years that I know of. I always make a point of stopping in whenever Im in the neighborhood. Cakes and pastries are out of this world.

It gets really busy at times but the ladies keep it moving AND they are very nice 😀 only the bakery counter open due to covid but Im so glad they are. Oh, quiche on the Weekends only, too. I was going to be on this side of town so I made plans to stop by this great little place and try one of their new campfire chili cheeseburger wagyu burger, and Ill tell you it did not disappoint. If you are in the area or even if you arent, make plans to come by and try it out.

Peanut butter cookies are very good. English Tea cookies have nuts which I dont like in cookies; I didnt know beforehand. There were a lot of people @ front counter checking out, which is also where the baker counter is. 1 guy in particular, wouldnt go away & I couldnt even see all the baked goods.

Desserts here are always amazing, but I went for lunch for the first time. I ordered the hottie melt and it was absolutely great. The patty was juicy and perfectly cooked, but the Star was the bacon jalapeño marmalade. It was absolutely amazing. I want to put it on everything I eat.

Ordered two cakes for pickup on Saturday. Got stuck in traffic on the way over and called ahead to see if someone would wait 2 minutes before closing. Was told no, they close at 5:00, not a minute later. Asked if they would put the cakes outside since I was on my way, they wouldn’t do that either. Had to cancel the order, shame they aren’t flexible.

I ordered a rueben on rye, salad an piece of black forest cake. The food was good but not as expected. The rueben was on a bun and the black forest cake was actually baked meringue with a whipped cream filling. That was the most dissapointing. Salad was good and fresh thoug.

I order two sandwiches a Kaiser and a ham and egg and they was really bad. The potato salad also was bad. I order some pastries and we didnt like them.I bought 3 different chocolate cakes and they was not good. I had highly expectations because of the ratings but I was totally disappointed. I dont recommend this pastry shop to anyone.
