HA! WOW, young lady on the phone was crazy rude. When I called her out on her poor costumer service and said I’d be going somewhere else, she said, ‘good, we don’t want your business anyway’.What a joke. This place came recommended by a friend for some machine work, too.I don’t expect them to be open too much longer.Hope your day gets better, sister (she refused to tell me her name other than ‘Forbes’).🤷‍♂️

I have been going to Forbes since I was in High School. I am now in my sixties. The staff has always been right to the point and does not appreciate you wasting their time but they have ALWAYS fixed whatever I have brought in.

Been using this machine shop for years there work has always been proformed properly they are little more expensive shop hourly rate $75

I’ve rebuilt six different classic car engines with Forbes Automotive.One engine .430 MEL 1960 was unique to that year and was troublesome . Other machine shops said to junk it however,Forbes Automotive was patient and did a great job for me . They looked for 430 rare parts for 6months . My bill was a fraction of what I anticipated. I highly recommend Forbes Automotive for all engine machine work .I don’t consider them a garage as much as a high quality precision machine shop.They are a jewel of an engine builder and will save you some time and money if you will use their advice and service.

I left a friends head from her 4.9 Ford pickup, for a valve job and resurfacing. The total came to $151 and change; not bad. They had a full gasket set, in stock, too, which I expected. Dropped off Monday, picked up Thursday, and their guy unloaded and loaded.

Called looking for a new sbc lady was very rude and tried to tell me they can rebuild my engine even though there is a hole in the side of the block my arm can fit in I usually go to city motor supply in Dallas put there pretty far from me but there way better than this place wish I could give 0 stars

This should be your machine shop-period.! From the knowledgeable lady that answers the phone to the machinist that actually does the inspection and work. Ive been a certified master ASE mechanic since 1987 and advanced specialist since 1992. I built competition engines for 9 years and I affirm these folks will do whatever your automotive machining needs require...precision is precision andRight is what youll take from their shop. Actually I have been to Forbes Automotive and I have had tremendous success with all of the engine and carburetor rebuild. Now going on 27 years and still counting. Great people and even better service. God bless

Nice people, but terrible work if I’m quite honest

Bad experience with this place. The had my engine rebuilt and never had it fixed. I have to take my Suv back several times. The first time the kept my suv for almost a month. They gave me 1 year warranty on the rebuilt, but during one year my Suv end up back in their shop more than on the road. The never appologize or extend my warranty. After one year my warranty expired Suv still broke and I hand to get the engine bebuilt by another shop. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

WARNING! DONT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP! Had engine rebuilt and its still leaking! Had to take my motor apart to take it back in. They claimed they put a new seal in it, which i already tried, I spent two days putting my motor back in, and ITS STILL LEAKING! The people are rude, they dont like to be questioned! TAKE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!!!!
