I visited Freedom to try to find a handgun that fit perfectly. The showroom was the cleanest and best-lit gun store I think Ive ever been in. They had a large selection to sample and were well priced. I worked with Brett and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful in interpreting needs and feedback into a tailored selection for me. I would highly recommend visiting Freedom and Brett to find your next firearm.

Update: To answer your response, no, I don’t have further questions. This policy is going to cost you $$, not save you $$. As I have already stated, you are free to implement policies like this, but I am free to make sure those I am connected with are aware of this type of policy so they spend their hard earned dollars elsewhere, where they won’t be held hostage to asinine fees such as the one you have implemented.After spending $3000-$4000 here in about 6-7 months time, you inform me I can’t shoot my AR at your facility unless I first buy a $350 a year membership?Greedy.It’s your right to force this on customers, but it is my right to now spend my money elsewhere and to let others know about this crazy policy that literally puts a barrier to growth on your own business. You really should do some research on other shops before implementing crazy policies like this. I am speechless.

This was my first time going into a gun shop. Brett was fantastic to both my friend and I. He was very knowledgeable, he explained the differences in the guns, how to hold and even said if I wasnt ready to buy dont. Also told us the classes that they offered from the new gun orientation program to the individual classes. He made us feel very welcome. Thanks Brett.

Good purchasing experience overall. They include a free gun safety intro course ( at least for handguns) when you make a gun purchase. They don’t have an astronomical inventory, but it is fairly decent. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

With so many other options in the area to purchase firearms, Im confused why the prices are so high here. I spent a day driving to different gun stores and compared common firearm prices. I left ammo out of the equation at this time, although they were still much higher than other locations offering similar rounds. I do not recommend making this your first and only stop for your firearm purchase. Shop around, make phone calls. The people inside seemed friendly enough. They do have a nice selection, just a tad to salty. Maybe to pay for the indoor range insurance???

I had a great experience here. Im new to Indiana, and wanted to buy a firearm, and start the process for concealed carry. I found just what I was looking for, and the price was more than fair. The displays were nice and the staff was knowledgeable. Brett was friendly, fun and very helpful.They ran my background, and were very thorough with all of the paperwork. They offered me a free new guy class, which I dont need, but will take just in case. I felt very good about purchasing here. Ill definitely be using the range.

I ordered an item from the website to be delivered to the store and when i went to pick it up a blond lady went to the back and was litterally throwing boxes around and 4 minutes later came out with my order that was beat to death and was broken internally. thank god the product came with a 5 year manufacturers warranty because they are clear about no refunds after overcharging me 100$ dollars for a beat up item thanks again freedom firearms now i have to wait another month on top of the 2 weeks i waited on you only one customer was in the store when i came in you guys werent looking very busy at all the why would i contact you before the review when you clearly have a no return no refund policy? I also dont understand how you bent over backwards to get this special item that was in your own freedom arms warehouse if its your own warehouse why should it have been an issue? Non of this is your fault at all its my fault for not doing better research and went to gunzonedeals and got the exact same item i gave you 705$ for they have it for 466$ but like u said in nice words its my fault you didnt make me order it but i thought with a no refund policy it would at least be in working pre tested order

Just called to confirm an order was delivered, as I had place an online order from another supplier, and wanted to make sure that was the case. Individual working refused to confirm the order. Their exact words were, There are a lot of boxes back there. Im not going back there right now. Im sure its fine. They then hung up. Worst customer service Ive experienced in a long time. The girl that originally started to help us was knowledgeable and doing a great job. She was somehow pushed out of the way by a pushy sales woman who just wanted to make a sale regardless of customer wishes.

The last place I would ever buy a firearm from in the city. The staff acts as though you are non existent, the ammo is over priced and not a very good selection, Id say the range was the only positive. If you read the other reviews they always apologize and say that is not the culture of the store, everyone knows that has been the culture of the store for years. If you need a quick range trip, its worth a visit. Otherwise, avoid like the plague.

My question is if someone don’t know English perfect can’t buy a gun. I checking the law and no any law said that you can’t buy a gun if you don’t know English. Even US Citizen you can do test with translator. My friend live in US more than 10 years and he is US citizen but he don’t know much English. Why he can’t buy a gun? He just want hand gun for his small business and protection. This is not right show me what federal law said that if you don’t know English you can’t buy a gun.

Merchandise is overpriced. The bald head guy at the counter is rude. Ive spoken to many people that have had similar experiences with him. The range is nice thats about it.

What a joke. I went in to see what they would give me for a very rare preban AK. I was offered 1/3 of what ZX and Wrigleys offered me 30 minutes prior. So theyre either con artists or they have no idea what they were looking at. Either way not a shop I will deal with again.

Ive been here multiple times before, this actually the store I bought my first AR-15 from. The store is always clean and the men behind the counters are usually very helpful and laid back. Prices tend to be fair or good. Im writing this review because of the older gentlemen that works the counters. I stopped in to look at some long range rifles and some home defense shotguns and he was extremely helpful. Always willing to bring me the next gun and have a small conversation about it. I didnt catch a name, but he made the experience great this time.

This place is so so! I absolutely love the customer service on some of the days and other days it just seems that youre just being a bother. I know there a quite a few people who work there so Im sure some are better than others. But every time I decide to go there I always seem to think twice. I will say Ive never had a terrible experience there just not a very good one. Some of the workers there also just plain and simply dont know squat about firearms and related topics as well which is another mark against them in my book.. Went to ZX after today and they were busy as heck unlike Freedom and I got treated really well despite how busy they were.Do I recommend these guys? I say give them a try but Im not impressed. I do like how the owner is active on Google review and Im looking forward to what he has to say.

My husband and I purchased a Groupon for 2. The guy at the front counter was friendly. We were sent to the back to get the paperwork started and go over rules. We eventually were handed guns and safety equipment and sent on our way. I had never held or used a gun before. I did inform the older gentleman behind the counter of this. He seemed hesitant but he agreed to show me the basics. Overall the experience was good. I did feel like a bit of a bother but I am still interested in the firearm classes they offer for women.

Marc gave me a great deal, and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. This was not my experience at any of the other shops in town. Ive lived in the area for about a year and this is the only gun store in Fort Wayne I would recommend.

So far not happy, fiance wanted a home defense shotgun and so I went there to see if they had a rock island m5 because some friends told me would be good for her. They said they couldnt order one but she could order it and gave it shipped there. It was delivered on Wednesday and she called them and they said she has to wait for them to call her. It has been 4 days since they received this gun and they got rude with her on the phone saying they dont know when they will call her and she has to wait. No other explanation and she is getting frustrated and they dont seem to want to help.

Well first I was lied to when I called and asked if they had a certain gun in stock. When I got there they showed me the gun they did have that was a cheaper version but priced $150 more than everyone else. The only reason I bought it at all and the reason it’s getting 2 stars and not 1 is because the service wasn’t that bad. The guy there seemed nice. They make a claim for having the best firearm selection in Fort Wayne. I did not find that to be true either during my visit. Do yourself a favor and take the little extra trip and go to ZX gun.

I brought my daughter in to buy her first gun and not only were they helpful, he talked to her about what she was looming for and spent quite a bit of time helping her. She ended up buying a Taurus 9mm from him and we went to the range the next day. It was a great experience and we have decided we will be getting the family membership in our next visit.

This is an awesome store that sells Freedom and helps citizens practice their 2nd Amendment Rights. The staff was very helpful, they have a great selection, and when you pull up you’re welcomed to the thud of gunfire from their in-door range.

Great indoor range. The workers are knowledgeable about their products and very helpful in finding something that will work for you. Pricing is OK.

Good experience. The employees were awake and involved and they all helped each other out. My extra questions were answered as the others worked together and processed all my purchases. Good first impressions. So I did my purchases on my first visit.

This is my second time here. The first time I came the service in the range was unresponsive. I arrived a little before 7:30 the range closes at 8 after the long wait of no one being in the range booth we had like 5 minutes to shoot, I spent $26 on glasses and rentals for nothing gave me 4 free 1 hour passes which was nice. I came back a day later 3/14 again a little before 7:30 probably 7:25 this time the range closes at 8 again. There was a younger girl working the range, I had just went to the bathroom my friend went to the range. She tells him the range closes at 7:45 and was saying that they were practically now closing for the night. So we felt bad and left. I go outside research the hours it says 8p.m I call back in, a guy answers saying the range closes at 8. So we come back in and again no one at the booth. So I find the girl cleaning in room c I think l. I come in and was like hey the guy inside says the range closes at 8 and she’s like I have to clean up all these shells and complaining cause it’s getting close to 8. Its 7:40 at this point. And she just complained cause she wanted to leave at like exactly 8 it seemed like she didn’t want to stay after one minute to clean . Made it seem like I was comming in to shoot an assault rifle and spill rounds all over the floor. And I could’ve cleaned up my own mess. Extremely rude experience and slowest service I’ve ever had. Place seems nice but not very put together sorry.

Great facilities. Went there for the first time to use the range and the range master was very short with me acting as if he didnt want to be there helping me. I received no instructions on how to use the target transporter or even where the light switch was. He took my money and had me sign paperwork and that was it. I dont mean to sound ignorant but Im new to owning a gun and going to ranges so I was a bit disappointed.

Friendly staff, they take the time to talk to you and determine what is the best firearm for your purpose. They have an amazing selection to choose from. Plus, there is an indoor range and instruction classes offered.

I really dont understand the negative reviews, it sounds like people got upset when standard normal things happened. I walked in, knew what I wanted, they didnt have it so they ordered it, it came in sooner than they told me to expect, price was fair, transaction quick and easy.

UPDATE: Visited this place to use their indoor range and can gladly update my rating to 3 stars. I also respect any company that reaches out to good and bad feedback, and can see myself trying to see what the ideal business model is like in practice.After visiting this store a few times, I’ve yet to have a real pleasant trip. It seems as if the attendants are almost unhappy that you’re there, and I have seen them tote and wave guns around the store and behind the counter which is not at all acceptable to my standards. Attendants also use extremely vulgar language (I’ve not got the cleanest mouth in the world but when you’re in a professional setting there is just no excuse to be using the words that I have heard multiple employees use).Their stock and selection is pretty bare, and whatever ammo they do have is usually priced way above what is reasonable.I cannot speak for the indoor range although I have heard good things.

Been here a few times. No good experience. Just like the other reviews say, the employees are very rude and seem bothered by your presence. And the prices on firearms and ammo are a bit much. Though i have purchased a holster for my 1911. Other than that id honestly never recommend freedom firearms. Personly i go to wrigley. Better customer service and cheaper prices. Zx is also a good spot to shop.

Seems like they dont want your money. I bought some ammunition and wanted some accessories for my ar. They younger looking guy that helped me at the counter seemed aggressive and not interested in questions. I left after only buying the bullets. Went right down the road to ZX gun sales. It was night and day with service. I learned freedom doesnt care about the customer service. Thats why they lost a 200 dollar sale to zx.

Overall a good range. But sometimes they issues with the lanes. Most of the time it not there fault.

Will never go back. I had put a gun on lay a way, found something different. When I went to cancel my lay a way they told me no refunds on lay a way. I was never told this.

Awesome gun store, has an indoor range, and a pretty wide range of guns and gear. I bought a BCM completed lower eeciever from them for 300$ + processing fee for background check, they said it MSRPs for about 375. I couldnt find it online for as cheap as I got it here. Staff was nice, quick to help me/answer my questions.

Over the years I have tried time and time again to give them my business on the retail side, as they are one of the older and more more established stores in the area, but unfortunately have never had anything more than a underwhelming interaction, whether on the phone or in person. They have had a blatantly “better than thou” attitude towards myself, and everyone I know who has ever been in the dismal situation of having to look towards Freedom Firearms for assistance. From multiple accounts, including my own, they quite overtly push their Glock agenda while conveying a since of belittlement to anyone who may have differing preferences. This is most certainly not a store for people who are interested in feeling like they are in a store that desires their presence or business. ZX Guns or Wrigley Sales would love to have you, while also offering a wider range of what YOU want, not what they think you should want.As far as the range side of things, not only is the wait commonly longer than need be due to a lack of range master present, but the prices in no way shape or form reflect the maintenece of the facilities. I, as well as almost every other area gunowner, travel upwards of 45mins to shoot at other ranges with much better facilities at way more accommodating rates. My coworkers and I commonly sacrifice a whole day of work to travel to shoot instead of subjecting ourselves to Freedom.I hope this is not everyone’s experience, and I suggest people decide on their own, but this is my review after over 5years of attempted patronage.

UPDATE:So went back to them and I will commend them for helping me out as best they could. They bought back the gen3 for pretty much what I bought it for and sold me the gen4 for only twenty more, so I do thank them for that and appreciated that so so very much but still when someone ask to buy a specific gun they should sell you THAT specific one, and supposedly it was just advertised as a g17 so my bad there but again thank you guys for doing as much as you could to fix it, but I don’t think I’m gonna return cause again prices are too much man.I’m very un happy first over paid like thirty bucks for a glock gen4 17 and two, turns out it’s a gen3 not a gen4! I know some of that is my fault for not researching glocks more but it was advertised in the case as a gen4 that’s bull man and I just found out there is no return policy great thanks freedom firearms. I’ll be going to ZX, I just should have to begin with.

I normally dont go to freedom except to use the range. We all know they are a little pricey. I found a brand new glock 42 that was lower than any other place in town here. Im a bad patron who arrived 20 minutes before closing. They didnt complain or look upset once. The staff was extremely helpful in helping my wife find a gun that suited her and let her shoot it before she bought a new one. Definitely will go back now and may even pay more just because they took the time to help us with whatever we needed.

One of the worst gun shops in the area!I stood at the counter waiting for someone to ask me what I wanted to look at for 30 minutes. I was not attended to so I had left the shop unattended . Clearly this is not a gun shop I would recommend buying anything from.

They were glad to sell a $2300 rifle at full retail, but didnt bother to advise the manufacturer was long out of business. Service and parts are not available. Very disappointed with Freedom Firearms.

Never again... 1.) the employees are know it all biased, and treat you like your ignorant. They continually try to pressure tactics you into buying something you dont want because its going to be better than whatever youre wanting. 2.) they dont stock the shelves very well. Who is going to have a $3,000 dollar 1911 in stock but not carry a wasr ak for $579. 3) you can literally go down the street to ZX guns and buy the SAME weapon for $50-100 less instantly. I wish I could give this place less than one star the only thing keeping this place open is the range.
