Great coffee! I love that huge is a size option lol! They have at least a dozen different roasts here (for beans), happy to see my favorite region offered (yirgacheffe ftw!!).Loved the free drinks offered at the bar; and that there was no anti american marxist signage out front (unlike their confused neighbor firefly).

I am a big fan of there Yemen coffee. Expensive, but extremely flavorful.It has a good aged dry wine finish. A lot of aroma when you brew it.You will have people stopping by your office. The Kenya AA+ was smooth, no acid, but lacked a little flavor. Dem Good Ol Beans blend was bright and light. Very good for waking up. The 9th Degree is bold if you like dark roasts. I am looking forward to trying The Devil You Know. I am hoping for some big flavors. I will be ordering more soon.

This is a special place and half of Fort Wayne knows it. Theres no end to the stream of fascinating, sophisticated people that pass through in the course of a week. They come for the excellent coffee and bar combo in a subdued, artistic venue.I talked to an audio artist one day and he related to me through hurt eyes how sad it was when they took the paintings down for Covid. The walls were bare, he said.This place has a special place in a lot of peoples hearts.

Horrible experience. Stinky, my chai was almost $8. I Didn’t stay. This place is overhyped when it’s really a dark room that serves overpriced coffee and alcohol. I told the employee just one second after he asked me if I was ready to order. Then he asked again, I still didn’t know..he responded with an eye roll and said he’s gonna be here all day anyways. Honestly, this shop probably fulfills a local desire for cheap coffee and beer excellently. However, I must say that the coffee tasted terrible! I got a short (8oz) cappuccino with an extra shot (2oz total) - trying to replicate a traditional cappuccino. The milk foam was like soap suds and the espresso tasted extremely dark. My friend’s italian creme soda was awesome though!

Our favorite go-to place for fresh roasted coffee for years. (and we even drive from Ohio to get it! We dont live in FtW) Also good wraps & sandwiches. They also offer a small selection of interesting draft beers, plus wine and other craft cocktails. Friendly staff, who we have appreciated even more during these pandemic months. Theyre always very willing and helpful if you prefer phoning in your order and having it brought out to the car or patio. (Thank-you Old Crown crew!!!) In normal times, inside its nothing fancy, but just a warm relaxing sort of hippie vibe where you can enjoy a drink or some quality coffee!

Stopped in with the family before a 2 hour drive home at 10pm on a Saturday night. The coffee drinks were awesome and the staff was fantastic. Since my wife was driving home, I enjoyed some craft beer while they waited on their orders. This is such a cool place, I wish we had something like this back home. We will definitely visit again whenever we are in the Fort Wayne area.

Old Crown offers a variety of great options for food, espresso, and alcohol. The atmosphere is relaxed and fairly comfortable, but can get noisy around the bar. As one of the few local coffee shops that stays open past 8pm, its a great option for relaxing with some espresso in the evening. They also offer a unique spectrum of bold and robust coffee beans that are well worth your time.

This is THE place for great coffee, but they offer so much more. Its a cozy place to have lunch or dinner in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Their food menu changes periodically which is nice so you always have new and fresh options when you visit. Its a great place to study or grab a beer or wine with friends. Id highly recommend this place. Oh by the way, dont forget to take some of their created coffee blends to go so make a cup of their rich goodness at home.

I went here for coffee and hot cocoa (for my 7yo) on a Saturday morning. The coffee was solid, not quite the best in town but not far off. The hot cocoa was good. Nice atmosphere for sitting and talking.

After trying this place out on a whim, Ive been here two weekends in a row. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the variety of options. I had a Ruben sandwich for lunch with my latte and it is to die for. The staffs extremely helpful and upbeat attitude really makes all the difference when trying out new places. Hint: Its their standard Friday brew, if you want to check it out.The daily menu includes wraps, sandwiches and homemade soups, with occasional baked goods. Some of the ingredients are fresh from the garden out back.But on weekends (read: TH,F,S) the chef puts out some truly unique dishes, with special apps, desserts and craft cocktails. When is the last time you had Burnt Garlic Basil Chicken or Rosemary & Garlic Braised Lamb Shank?Speaking of cocktails, this place puts its own spin on old standards and invents fresh offerings that use top quality ingredients like house-made ginger syrup and freshly squeezed lemon juice. My recommendations: Penicillin or the Wildest Redhead, but Im partial to Scotch ...And, it has a robust menu of craft brews, and even wine on tap.Seriously, this is one of the best places Ive visited - not just in Fort Wayne, but anywhere. Old Crown is one of a kind in the best of ways. The guys behind the bar know their coffee and beer. They serve up unique food most every night, and while the menu is more $$, you are going to walk away satisfied every time. If you like old school memorabilia, Old Crown is your place. It has a few classic arcade games in the back which can be a great with a beer or coffee in hand and a few friends around. If you love coffee, then you will stop dead in your tracks as you walk in because there are several barrels of Old Crown roasted coffees at the entrance to greet you. I meet friends here a lot for both coffee and beer. My wife and I like to come here on dates. It is a great all around place to be!

This is our go-to restaurant because it consistantly serves excellent dishes. You can depend on the Turkey Dinner to be as delicious today as it was always in the past. How they manage to create a consistantly tender, delicious turkey breast is amazing. You can depend on the sauce and stuffing to be excellent, always. I like my eggs scrambled easy; they never fail.

Trendy hip place and you get food and alcohol here. Not just a coffee place. And the staff are super laid back. Youre expected to clear your own table. Have good wraps. Love it.

This place has very high quality cocktails and coffee for a reasonable price, and offer food like wraps or sandwiches most of the time. On Fridays they have a full dinner menu that changes from week to week, and its delicious. Ive been super impressed with their drink selection- both the specialty cocktails they offer as well as the classics.And thats without even mentioning the coffee. This place famously offers their own roasted coffee beans for purchase, and the selection is nothing to sneeze at. I highly recommend this place for both coffee snobs and booze snobs alike.

Im a delivery driver that visits multiple states this is one is probably the best Ive been to. Good energy, knowledgeable patient staff AND! I you can get whole beans for home!

The coffee is amazing and you can get it for home brew too. They will grind it how you request and the ever changing selection makes it worth it to come back often to see what new beans they have freshly roasted. The drink selection is great and they have a wide assortment of tea for those who dont partake in coffee. Make sure you take a look at the weekend dinner menu because there is usually some awesome offerings.

This place is a nice, little Fort Wayne jewel. I went there for coffee. They also serve alcohol and food. They were very accommodating to my 4 year old daughter and made her a special hot chocolate. She was able to walk out with a specialty coffee cup just like daddy. It was a good bonding experience for both of us. Even with Higher Grounds coffee shop down the road, we will choose Old Crown every time.

This place is wonderful! I can’t eat bread because of my diet right now, so I ordered the BBQ Chicken sandwich without the bread. They served it to me on lettuce, and it was SO DELiCIoUs ❤️ The owner even gave me a discount on the sandwich because I didn’t want the bread. I didn’t even ask for one! The atmosphere is very friendly. 5/5 will come back again!!

Well, I finally made it in here... And so glad I did! Great drink selection, great food, comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, tasteful music selection; basically they knocked it out of the park. Ill definitely be back and bring more friends. Highly recommend!!

I have been getting all my coffee from Old Crown and it has been wonderful. I use a french press and buy whole bean with excellent results. I should also note that I drink decaf and Old Crown almost always has two choices for decaf whole bean, which is much more than any other places in town (if you want fresh).

This is a good coffee bar - excellent proper brewed coffee - not the usual autopsy runoff that we are offered in other places. Also, a well chosen, if small range of beans for sale too. The staff are excellent and most welcoming. The place reminds me of the hip coffee bars back in the UK I would frequent to people watch and enjoy a good coffee too.. I have not tried eating there but I watched them preparing food and watched it go out to the covers and it looked good.Altogether a gem of a coffee bar and highly recommended. Ill be back!

Great place to go for coffee and maybe a pastry or meal with adult friends (do leave the kiddos at home with a sitter). A smaller, intimate, casual and slightly quirky place, it has a bar, cordoned off, but plainly in view. In season, you can sit on the patio. The food is great; service excellent. Servers are very knowledgeable as to their coffees, too. As for the coffee--its outstanding! You can buy varietal roasts ground to your specifications for home use. I dont buy ground coffee anywhere else.

Amazing Mississippi Roast Beef! Very flavorful and not salty, over great country mashed and Southern Fried Cabbage that was firm not mushy.Chicken & Dumplings had nicely sized chunks of chicken of both white and dark meat sizes of veggies similar to a stew and the chicken sauce was perfectly seasoned with a thicker consistency.

Update: I feel I need to amend my initial review (which you can see below). I still feel the interior of the facility is a bit dark and somewhat like a bar, however, Ive come to love this place! Their coffee is absolutely stellar, and the space is quiet and enjoyable even when its busy. This is definitely a coffee shop (and bar) to check out.The coffee is excellent but the atmosphere feels a bit more like a dive bar than a coffee house.

One of the best places in Indiana! Soups and sandwiches, a chef on Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights, the best coffees brewed daily, and a full bar! A unique local spot fit for the whole family. Complete with a pinball machine room in the back for all!

Still make a point to come here every trip home. Its a Fort Wayne gem. I aways make sure to have a stock pile of their holiday blends to get me through winter. Cant wait for Ode to Joe.

Neat concept (coffee shop + bar + arcade), but falls short on execution. Menu above counter does not give drink details and the line moves incredibly slow (1 person on counter, 1 on bar). No real breakfast options, but the dinner options sounded interesting. No complaints on the iced dirty chai... Id give another try for lunch or dinner.

The coffee just the best - and the food is always fresh and delicious. The wraps are my favorite. And it is my choice place for meeting friends, and for business. We are never rushed, it is quiet, and casual. All the bartenders are great - especially Jennifer. Both Mike and Jennifer are just all around top-notch local business owners who really care!I highly recommend it for everyone from college singles, families, and retirees.

I come here every so often, and I really love the atmosphere. The staff is friendly, prices are about what youd expect from a coffee shop of this caliber, and the drinks are really good! They have cute, eclectic decorations and lovely art. I cant personally speak for the food since Ive never tried it, but my friends have enjoyed it.

Great place to go have a beer/coffee/cocktail and work or meet a friend. The also sell their own roasted beans from barrels up front so the place smells great. Very much like their toasted wraps from the anytime lunch menu too.

This is my favorite coffee place in town. I am obsessed with the Iced Mocha! I get it with dark chocolate and whole milk. So amazing! Sometimes I change it up and get a Frozen Mocha which is the same but the ice is blended. Its generally busy when I go in the afternoon. I often have to wait in line to order, but its so worth it! I like to sit and work here, meet friends here, or just grab some yummy coffee to go!

It was a fun place to stop for a drink. I got the Rock Hudson, which was a fruity pink, gin drink. It is also a coffee brewery. Great place to study during the day, or to meet with your book club. They have a dinner and lunch menu but no breakfast menu, which was a bummer.

This would easily be 5 stars but the parking situation and cleanliness of this building is terrible. Excellent coffee - best roaster in town by far. However it’s time for this company to spend some money and get a better place to meet demand. I have stopped in many times just to grab a few pounds of coffee beans and had to leave because there were many customers and too little help. I can’t imagine how much business this company loses due to this situation but I would bet it’s tens of thousands of dollars a year
