The staff is so helpful and upbeat! Perfect and complete drinks menu featuring all the classics done just right! The brunch offerings are what you would expect at a much larger establishment. The egg and bacon biscuit is elevated with perfect crisped bacon and a hint of raspberry jam. The Bruleé French Toast bakes the maple syrup right in. Not too sweet either! Definitely recommend if you ever find yourself in Fort Wayne!
Cute little coffee place in downtown Fort Wayne. We had two of the mocha frappes, and they were quite tasty (8/10). The inside of Fortezza was also quite aesthtically-pleasing and cozy with interesting furniture pieces (resin, wood table for ex.) and a high ceiling. Highly recommend.
A very nice little coffee shop downtown. I have only visited once but I was impressed with the quality of the coffee. It is a hobby of my girlfriend and I to got to different coffee shops and try their coffee. This one I would recommend if you are in the downtown area.
Phenomenal coffee shop and I would highly recommend! They have great customer service, in a fantastic location, the shop itself is beautiful inside and out. You can sit in the shade on the porch or inside. Did I mention the very tasty looking treats OH MY!! Something for everyone. Seems to be a great spot for everyone. The coffee is delish! If you purchase a bad of coffee beans for home, they will even grind the coffee beans for you before you leave!
Great service, quality coffee and very good dessert/snack options.
Love the friendly staff. Coffee is out of this world, and the pastry selection is so good! Had the Sunday special bibimbap, probably could have used a bit more bap, but i like it spicy 😂
Delicious local coffee shop, with good service and a nice vibe. Drip coffee was fresh and warm. No complaints.
I got the French toast to go and was bummed to not get syrup with it so I ate it as it was. And it didnt need syrup! Some of the best French toast I have ever had! The yogurt with honey and granola was good too. Got a side of bacon which was two slices for 2 bucks. A bit salty but not bad.
The ambiance is wonderful, great traditional coffee house vibes. Small selection of variety for drinks, not like a Starbucks with a bunch of sweet drinks. If you like coffee for what it is, youll LOVE fortezza. Some of the best lattes Ive ever had. They also sell food and have a brunch menu. Its got a room you can reserve too! must try
Coffee was okay Im glad that Ft Wayne has options outside of Starbucks, and Gas Station Coffee, but I would not say it was worth the almost 20 minute wait for a cup of pour over coffee. The level of pretension from the person who took my order was hilarious to me, it was only outdone by the persons in front of me talking like they were from a Calabasas based TV Show. Sign of the times of Downtown Ft Wayne getting more investment.I will give them another shot when I come into town. Hopefully the person taking the order will be able to understand the difference between the brand of coffee they serve and the country of origin. 🤷🏽♂️
I loved my service and food and drinks.. I miss the hominess of the first decor and early menu.. yes were better too.. service to the table then.. far fewer tables.. more comfy seating helps me feel at home.. could we change back??
Had a coffee date and sat at the outdoor tables. Coffee was amazing and the place is clean, staff is very polite.
I stopped by here for a cup of cappuccino. It was a nice little coffee shop with a good vibe. The cappuccino was a little cold when it was served but it was still good. I also had a snack here which was good. Some kind of raspberry thing, pretty decent.
Wonderful coffee and staff! Thank you!
They have amazing coffee, it so beautiful the design they make. The environment inside makes you feel so cozy and comfortable. :)
Fortezza Coffee is located in the heart of the bustling city. This is a great spot that seems to be a short walk from just about anywhere. The menu is simple but is rich in a variety of your favorite drinks and snacks. The shop is divided into three areas. The bar up front, an open sitting room for games and conversation, and a reserve room in the back. This place is great for a lunch break, meeting friends, or arranging a business conversation. Will definitely be back.
Awesome coffeeshop! Ive had two first dates and several business meetings here and Im always impressed with the laid-back atmosphere, excellent coffee, and great service. They leave a little to be desired as far as cleanliness goes (there were visible crumbs on one of the tables when I was there today) but its not a big enough problem to detract substantially from the positive experience. Oh, and they have password-protected free wifi. All in all, an awesome small business to support!
Great coffee, great space. 10/10 reccomend.
This place was excellent! The staff were friendly and helpful. The environment is very laid back. Its a great place to meet and chat with people or do computer work!
I had a cortado as soon as I walked in and ordered another by the time I left. Espresso shots were pulled through a mod bar; my first time seeing this setup, and they have a nice variety of coffees youre able to choose from for pour over. They had a few different food options for breakfast and a good amount of baked goods and other snack items. They also serve beer (!?) which Ive never come across before in a coffee shop. It seemed this place attracted a good amount of regulars and the staff was a great part of the atmosphere. The prices were reasonable and the open faced chorizo sandwich I had was stellar. Ill be back if Im ever in Fort Wayne.
Pretty good third wave shop! I was very disappointed by the lack of designated or reimbursed parking. They just expect you to figure it out, which doesn’t fly in most major cities. They serve Counter Culture, which was also disappointing. If I wanted CCC, I’d have gone to a generic shop back home. The baristas were friendly but not too interested in conversation. Overall, a nice relaxing atmosphere muddled by the stress of getting there.
Looking for brunch, their biscuit sandwich with egg, bacon, cheddar and jelly is amazing! I lived their mushrooms 🍄 cheese quiche too! Locally owned, #supportthefort!
My wife and I have very here several times. So far, the best coffee I have found in Ft Wayne. I wish it was closer to my home and I would be here daily.
Great coffee and staff. LOVE the Latte art here.
Had a cranberry and white chocolate scone with my Americano. Both enjoyable. Nice atmosphere.
Fortezza is such a cute spot! Cozy and well decorated. The food is yum and drinks are pretty good too! The menu is small but I almost prefer not having too many options. There is something for everyone!
Such a cute place, plenty of room for social distancing, too! Great coffee AND tea!
Love this place. Not always easy to find good parking.
Very good ambience and recommend for newbies in the city.
Great breakfast in a casual cafe setting. Window seating offers a great view of downtown. The French toast is served with a side of yogurt. This was some of the best French toast I have ever had! The mocha I had accompanying my French toast was like no other, it was the most delicious coffee I have ever tasted!! I was a Starbucks snob, but I will never be able to get the memory of that mocha out of my taste buds! I definitely will return as it is so good it is addictive!
Great coffee, superb staff and very cozy atmosphere. If I could, I would make this my daily stop for coffee, but sadly it is not on my daily travel route. We need more local, attentive shops such as Fortezza.
All around wonderful place. I have a five star experience every time I visit. Legit drinks and staff. Don’t sleep on the food specials
Great staff and delightful coffee
One of my favorite places in Midtown!
Love finding coffee shops when traveling. Great latte and lemon poppy seed muffin
Its a nice little coffee shop, the roast was good. We only had coffee, a macchiato and a latte, but both drinks were done well. Cant speak to the food, sorry.
Best thing about Fortezza, aside from the coffee/espresso itself, is the perfect temperature of every drink. Other coffee places I like make it piping hot as if for a trucker who will be on the road all day. Fortezzas customer service is good too, except one time when the reddish-yellow barista yelled at me in front of everyone for wearing a knitted mask. Worth it.
Absolutely delicious coffee, great baked goodies, and excellent atmosphere!
The best London fog tea latte I’ve ever had!!!! Wow I wish we had this in Chicago! The staff, coffee, and muffins were great. Definitely recommend!
Absolutely incredible Latte! Plenty of places to find a spot to focus. Nice twist on coffee shop culture-genre, with draft local brews served.Counter Culture beans used here, which is a pretty good, artful roaster. Service was fast and friendly - and knowledgeable...the care taken to put a latte leaf on my to-go cup, was a sign of the quality craftsmanship and pride taken to ensure a great experience. There was a guitarist in one area that played very lightly, adding a great touch to the comfort that I believe is crucial to a success for any server of bean juice.Definitely will return for more on next trip through Fort Wayne.
My coffee was perfect and loved their macaroons
A little on the expensive side, but great coffee so its worth it to stop here rather than a starbucks
Great coffee. Amazing food.Rotating brunch option, which is always top quality and something interesting. Their normal menu is always good as well.Baristas are friendly and helpful.I always bring my out of town friends here, best coffee in Fort Wayne!
We had to try this place after seeing so many good reviews and werent disappointed!! Especially banana crunch french toast!! All the food portions are huge, they come with a side or two. My banana french toast cane with 3 huge strips of thick cut bacon and my partners seafood Mexican omelette cane with homemade 2 pieces of biscuits and gravy
Quaint coffee shop with large, spacious seating area. Would absolutely recommend venturing here for a delicious cuppajoe.Love this place! The cakes were great. My cold brew was fantastic. I stopped by twice in one day. The folks behind the counter were so nice and welcoming. This is my destination stop whenever I come to Fort Wayne.
We stopped early in the morning to get a jump on our day of driving. Was looking for something other than a chain and we were pleasently surprised by what they had to offer.Didnt look like they had everything to offer for food, but what they had looked amazing. We just ended up getting two muffins (bannana and pistachio that had spinach and coconut and then a traditional lemon and poppy seed). The bannana and pistachio was not what we expecting but it was packed full of flavor and a bunch of different textures. The lemon poppy seed was a just a tad over powering with lemon but a good muffin overall with not being too dry and having a moist top.Our coffees consisted of their pumpkin spice latte, which wasnt super sweet and still had plenty of flavor while giving that nice Fall feel. The second was a cortado (equal parts espresso and steamed milk), which was exactly what I was looking for. Not sweet and the pressed coffee was excellent and had a lovely roast to it. The coffee wasnt big by any means but did the trick for me.Would highly recommend to start your day of here or whenever you get the chance to stop. Plenty of seating and have plenty of food options to choose from. They bag their coffee and can grind upon request.
Super cute place loved my pistachio muffin and cafe mocha
Great coffee. Great service.
I literally come here almost every day now that I began working downtown and I love it. Great atmosphere and really great espresso. Their food is also incredible--pricey, but incredible.
Great coffee spot
Great coffee and super friendly staff!
Good desserts most likely shipped in, pumpkin spice latte not desirable.
Pretty good coffee shop to meet up with friends and talk at. They have a few milk alternatives. They also serve beer. Place is pretty nice with lots of room and different seating. I do think they could use another couch or two though.
Coffee is always great!
Best coffee joint in Fort Wayne. The staff is amazing!! They are always so cheerful and friendly. Their sit down area includes great local art. Good place to get away from it all. If coffee isnt your thing, they also have beer on tap. They have a unique brunch item every Friday thats always good too. Its always my first stop every time Im downtown.
Very nice cafe probably best around the area.Caramel latte, green tea latte, sponge cakeExcellent quality coffee. Best decaf coffee Ive ever drank. Nice place to sit in.Sponge cake not as fresh but still taste quite good, decaf pours can take quite a while. Not many options of drinks on menu. Location is not as visible. I drove by it many times without knowing its there.
Fortezza Coffee is a fantastic place and I love their coffee! The atmosphere is wonderful and inviting as well. This Coffee shop is perfect for business meetings, especially because of its central location downtown. The only reason it wouldnt be a five star rating for myself, is because the lack of variety in their drinks. They have many teas, coffee, and some food, however they do not have shakes, refreshers, or more sweet drinks. All in all though, I love fortezza and will keep on coming!
The chai was delicious! It had this light sweetness to it with this light fluffy whipped cream. The atmosphere was enjoyable, I was able to read a book without disturbance.
Love this place! Best brunch food, awesome drinks! Great tasting food at an inexpensive price. Everyone in there, even the customers seem to be friendly towards one another. Only thing I wish they had, was more seating and tables. Other than that, this place is awesome. It has a hipster vibe to it which I love.
Always have a good experience here. Food is well made. The Creme Brulee French Toast is a must try.
Fortezza is definitely my favorite coffee place in Fort Wayne. It has the best staff in town; super friendly and easy going. The atmosphere is great for catching up with friends or for holding meetings for work. The coffee is fantastic and the tea is pretty great too!I give them all the stars... It’s the real deal.
Fantastic latte and the small is small... just how it should be, not a massive “small” like most other places.Well done Fortezza, delicious coffee.
Always great coffee. Love the atmosphere! They have some great cozy seats by the almost floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as tables for groups to gather around and chat. Even just their basic hot americano makes me smile. This is a place where you can get comfortable and make memories.
Love the coffee and atmosphere but I REALLY DISLIKE YALLS TOGO CUPS!! My husband and I are both wearing coffee drips on our clothes today. Please investigate into other options for the togo cups. Thank you
Great food, Ive only met 2 employees that were freindly and it is always cold inside, food and coffee cool off quickly. Eat fast !
Absolutely delicious coffee. I normally drink mine black but I went for a mocha and was blown away. It was a rich coffee with a delicate and not overpowering hint of chocolate. The shop was well manicured and very stylish and modern. I wish I could have stayed longer and tried some beer.
Really nice coffee spot in downtown Fort Wayne. I tried the cortado and the Creme Brûlée French toast which was delicious, it comes with a side of yogurt and granola with honey which was a nice surprise. This place is very cozy and decorated very well. The next day I tried their cold brew to go, it was smooth and not acidic at all. Love the paper straws!
Love the cappuccinos here. And super cozy inside. Love walking to Fortezza. And their food is fantastic!
Very tasty. Very busy today! Buy local!
They apparently are a discriminatory business and refused to serve me.
Was recommended to me by a friend. Only two other customers when we arrived so we were able to place our drink orders right away. The gentleman helping us offered suggestions and made our drinks. Taste was amazing! Havent had the chance to go back yet but looking forward to when I can.
Great drinks, friendly staff, good atmosphere. Easy parking for a downtown establishment at the city garage across the street.
My favorite coffee place! They are obsessive about their coffee and it shows. The flavors are second to none. The atmosphere is great, modern/industrial eclectic. Staff is super friendly and good at what they do.There is space inside for small groups, or people with a laptop. There is also some limited seating outside. The coffee menu is extensive, and they have a nice selection of brunch type items (sandwiches, etc.). Of course there are some great looking snacks in the display case as well.If youre into off-menu items I recommend you ask for the cinnamon and honey latte. Its amazing! If youre not into sweet coffee go with the Cortado (its like a latte with less milk).
Great atmosphere and the food was really good! Of course most people go here for the drinks and in that area I can only speak to the Chai Latte that I ordered. It was great (very artistic as well) and I love that it didnt come out burn your lips hot
First time here, was a nice quiet spot. The cider i got was really good and prices were reasonable. Only bad part is downtown parking.
Nice cozy spot, great coffee and you can order them in large or small like a normal person
