Loved this place! The bagels were very tasty, staff was extremely polite and helpful, and service was quick. Contrary to the other reviews, the food came out quick and wasn’t over priced.The brewed coffee wasn’t my personal favorite, but that’s because I didn’t like the roast. I highly recommend stopping here for a unique breakfast and friendly service!
Hit. The. Spot. I dont want to over hype it or anything, but this might be the best bagel Ive ever had. I got the Tango & Cash + tomato on a Spicy Garlic burrito and it was SO GOOD. All the toppings were fresh and perfectly ripe and tasty.My girlfriend got The Works burrito and I tried to ask her how it is, but she doesnt want to stop eating it to answer. Theres your answer.This is a must eat stop. Oh, and the drinks were fresh as hell too. Perf perf perf.
Best bagel I’ve ever had in my life. The breakfast burrito was also delicious as was the coffee! Just here on a mini trip from the Central Valley but will absolutely be back next time we visit.
Good burrito, but very overpriced. I did not see it on the menu on Google maps, but inquired over the phone and did not know the price. A little over $16! And it was not all that big for that price. I think the works burrito would be better priced at $8. It feels like I bought two and only got one, and that is disappointing.
Met the owner today - Great energy!I Stopped in again today after my yummie experience yesterday. I tried their home made blueberry-blackberry scones. DELISH!I highly recommend supporting this local business. Home made bagels, pastries, and others. Locally roasted coffee and chai! Locally sourced food as well.
SO delicious! The scone was huge and light, crumbly but not dry!Such nice people!And the bagel with lox was out of this world.Delighted to discover this sweet spot!
The coffee is bad (coming from someone living in sf and used to verve). The bagels arent what you would traditionally think of as bagels but still good. The photos dont show that theres 2 indoor chairs, it isnt enclosed at all, and seating is mostly picnic tables on part of a parking lot. We wouldve left to go to Emilys but had already walked 15m to get here 🤷🏻♂️

I got the lox and cream cheese, it did not disappoint! The lox had great flavor and there was plenty of it, no skimping here. The bagel itself was just right, not tough or hard to bite into. I will absolutely be ordering this again!
The bagel sandwiches are DELICIOUS. I went on a quiet morning after a busy weekend and it the staff was so friendly and helpful. They are located in a tucked away corner in SC. Easy parking for in and out service.

BE AWARE....No restrooms for any customers / patrons period according to the employees. The closest public restroom is a short 15 min walk to the beach per staff. Short where I come from is 5 min or less, so I guess time stands still at this establishment.
Those bagel sandwhiches are amazing! Their dirty chais are the most amazing ever. Its such a different chai taste than i get at any other coffee shop. Its so delicious.

Such a cute spot! Found this online a few months ago when I was perusing Google Maps planning my 30th birthday trip. We wandered here from the beach, and it was so worth it! Homemade bagel sandwiches and EXCELLENT coffee, plus an adorable (distanced) outdoor seating area. Highly recommend!

Great food, tasty coffee, and friendly as well as patient staff members. Just a 5-10 min walk from the boardwalk.Had their vanilla latte. Its not too sweet but it has a strong vanilla flavor.Also had it with their breakfast bagels with folded egg & cream cheese with chives on their spicy cheddar bagal.. one of the best breakfast sandwiches I had.If youre in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for your morning coffee. Skip Starbucks for a day support local places!

Great place to grab a quick coffee and bagels. They have a wide selection of bagels and spreads. The breakfast sandwich with the spicy cheddar bagels was delicious. They even have sandwich options. The vanilla latte was really tasty and wasnt bitter at all. Staff was friendly and very helpful! Understood what we were thinking and suggested something we are more familiar with because we are use to the Starbucks menu. #supportlocal

We were visiting Santa Cruz and stopped in to grab coffee and breakfast and we werent disappointed. The bagels were absolutely amazing and the cream cheese with so light and fluffy. We also really loved the atmosphere. It was a very relaxed vibe.
This Café had a nice little outdoor setup to sit and and eat/ drink. The staff was very friendly and the coffee was great, I would definitely come back.
Oh my gosh I would give it more than five stars if I could.... first of all they make their own Bagels in house and these bagels are like nothing I ever tasted almost like a bagel /biscuit hybrid🤤 they are fluffy but not too fluffy or hard ....so as to solve the problem that you usually have with a bagel breakfast sandwich, in which the bagels are so hard that all the filling squishes out and then you just have a mess on your hands and a bagel with no filling! You wont see that problem here every bite just as good! Plus theyre topped with fun things like cheese, onions, jalapenos! To die for !Oh and their Bagel sandwiches they put cream cheese and chives on with the bagel toppings, like eggs & avocado. the chives and cream cheese making interesting smear with the toppings! My husband thought it was really different and Brilliant; I have had it at one other restaurant location before and always loved it! theres two locations of firefly, we went to both in the past two days because it was that good!

Overprice worst coffee I ever tried.
We walked about 15 minutes in the heat each way to get here and it was worth every step. Never been here before but will return every time I’m in town. I got the tango and cash on a cheddar and jalapeño bagel and all the ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. I didn’t see an iced coffee on the menu but they made a vanilla one for me exactly to my liking and she even spelt my name right! 😂 The staff was rad and there’s not enough good things I can say about my 10 minute visit. GO THERE. You won’t regret it.

Decent food but VERY expensive. Two breakfast sandwiches and two coffees for $40!They charge $9 for a bagel sandwich and another $2.50 if you want egg on it! And almond milk is $0.75 more even tho the cup is 6 oz.

Waited 45 minutes for a bagel and burrito. The service is so slow and I stood there waiting to ask about my order 30 min in without any acknowledgement for at least 10 minutes.
Great location. Inspiriting angles. Only issue is the overly smokey lack of ventilation from constantly toaster oven...I coughed all morning.Some menu items are a bit weird.most are interesting. Okay coffee. Great art gallery ability. Lovely employees!
The bagels here are fresh and so tasty! Its so hard to find a good bagel out of the east coast, but I think this place is a winner. Also the coffee shop is cozy and the service is awesome. 10/10 would return again!

The guy was making bagels and scratching his face/nose repeatedly. The young blond woman at the register was warm, happy, and genuinely interested in connecting with the customers. Bagels can be a bit light on fillings, like lox, but the bagels themselves are good.

It was ok, I’d say a 3.5 star experience. I got a cappuccino and a bagel with goat cheese and avocado. Prices were average, and food was fine.Coffee is good to me when I can drink it without sugar and taste the nodes of it, I prefer a dark roast. Aka I’m picky lol. This coffee wasn’t watery, but it didn’t have a well rounded bold taste. It tasted bitter, and basically wasn’t remarkable.The bagel could have been good, but it was burnt and they were out of avocado (which they told me after I paid). The bacon I got instead was honestly some of the saddest bacon I’ve seen. It was like a single strip that was also burnt.There was a wait for the bagel, but it wasn’t too bad. Honestly, just don’t like burnt food.Finally, I found it unprofessional and gross for the worker to touch their phone while preparing my food.Overall, it was fine but I wasn’t impressed enough to come back. Which is a shame, as it’s the closest cafe to my house.
Delicious coffee and good selection of tea, the people who work there are super nice and get your grub out on time. The bagels are so so so delicious and really fill you up, they arent cheap but its not necessarily what Id consider expensive. But for how good it is and how nice the environment is its worth the price. Kinda grimy, not super clean looking but thats the price you pay.

I have never seen such oily coffee hoppers in my life (even compared to hoppers at a McDs or an airport Starbucks). Cold brew had a weird cashew flavor (they dont have cashew milk)... The worker was nice, the bagels looked good, but not enough to prevent me from leaving my first one star review.
Awesome coffee place, the Kitchen Sink bagel is delicious. Friendly staff! Came here on a whim during vacation and went back today and plan on coming back tomorrow before we leave.

It is the best coffee I ever had in California.
One of the more underrated coffee shops in Santa Cruz. Its a small operation off the main drag, so it typically doesnt get to busy. Although Ive never gotten breakfast here, the products I see come out of the kitchen look amazing. The coffee is quality also.If I could make one much needed improvement to the place, I wish they had an ice maker. If you show up after 10, they are usually out of ice. And some days they dont have any at all. But Im never that upset, because the staff is nice about it.If you want good coffee or a small breakfast and not have to deal with a crowd, this is a good spot to go. And an added bonus, you can usually find free parking in their lot.It closes early, so make sure to get there early. Not a coffee shop for night owls.

Go as often as you can! The homemade chai is great!Ask them about all their vegan options, then maybe theyll offer some.

The food and service are like walking into a B&B for breakfast and getting top-notch cooking with serious love invested into the preparation.A great place to take your kids on a Saturday morning; a wonderful spot to enjoy a paper, a warm drink, and a bagel; an escape from the craziness of Pacific Street.Im moving out of Santa Cruz in a month and I often wonder what I will miss and where I will visit when Im back in town. Firefly Coffee House will see me every time I return. Thanks to the staff for your hospitality and the delicious food.
Amazing period. Their coffee is bomb, the food is bomb (bagels especially), the staff is so sweet, there is this one barista, Becca (i believe that is her name) who always has a smile on her face and whips up delicious coffee and treats effortlessly!
Its got that, we really dont care what you think, kinda feel to it, but in a good way. Shelf if books nobody reads, couple tables inside, few more out. But very friendly staff, and not in a Target Greeter way. Genuine interest in you. Everyone seemed to know everyone. The selection was fine and the products were great.

Will not be coming back. I paid $8.75 for a small cup of black coffee and a bagel with 1 topping. I waited about 15-20 minutes for my bagel until I spoke up and asked where it was, they never put it in the system and they were out of the topping I wanted without telling me beforehand. Substituted for a different topping and when I finally got my bagel, there was hardly any spread :/ pretty disappointed

Just was close and decided to stop in traveling through Santa Cruz. Was not disappointed at all! The chai was like nothing Ive had before, light and creamy and flavorful! Then sat for a couple hours and then got a bagel. Two words avocado hummusHighly recommended, cool little place to hang out for sure👍🏻
