Ive had a few clutches and rear ends done here. There are quite a few closer places, but I wouldnt take my vehicles anywhere else. Good people and good prices, highly recommend.

Absolutely unprofessional, don’t take your car there unless you have more than one car. As long as they get paid they don’t care if you can’t work for several days . Awful experience not to trust them no more . They don’t know how to do their own job or they just don’t care . If I could give them a 0 star I would do it. I wish they would returned the money we paid plus what we lost.

The stablishment and business is the place I would recommend to anyone and anybody, I personally have the greatest experience and wonderful understanding on how all works on their explanations. Very highly recommend.

If youre on a time crunch theyre not the place for you.But the work they offer is good and you will be treated kindly and respectfully.The prices seemed fair to me, I dont expect them to give me minimum wage labor for good work.

Came to them with a blown transmission on an 87 Toyota, they found the problem, got it fixed, and sent me updates by phone call and text as well as included pictures of everything. Great price and service, will go to again if needed.

Global Transmissions is the most amazing honest kind hearted hard working men I have ever met! I brought my Tahoe to them w/ a salvaged transmission and they didnt have one problem putting it in for me. I am a waitress and a mom of three with very little money! Rodney kept his word and stuck with his estimate and was very very kind to me and my kids. We had been on foot for 4 long months trying to save the money to fix my truck. When I called Global I let him know up front the exact amount of money I had to fix the transmission and I couldnt afford any more. Rodney told me he would work with me and before I knew it he had my truck up and running! I love these guys for what they did and just how amazingly friendly these men were to me! My boss left our work truck there, only took them 6 months and $4000 to get a needed work truck back that still didnt work. If it takes someone six months to do auto work then youre failing. Then when my boss went and asked to be helped out after such poor work and massive delay, he was treated terribly. Fortunately an auto shop nearby was able to help out. Live and learn.

Took my 2016 GMC Acadia to these guys to get the torque converter changed. I got it diagnosed from the dealership first to know exactly what the problem was and was given a quote by Global half of what the dealership could offer even only being outside my vehicle warranty by 5000 miles. Any how the guys where super friendly and I got my car back after a week. After getting it back I had more problems than what i did when I brought it in. I had to take it back two more times and they could not diagnose the problem. I then took it back to the dealership for them to tell me I needed to have an alignment done after getting the converter changed and this is why my car was now shutting off and stuttering. Here we are less than 6 months later and my torque converter is out again. I called Global and they said bring it in and they would get it resolved. It’s now been close to a month. 3 weeks and 4 days to be exact. They have not called me to update me. I have had to call them weekly to get an update. I understand the covid situation has pushed a lot of business behind but proffessional courtesy would be for them to call and let me know what’s going on. I’m blessed to have a second vehicle to drive to and from work but what if I didn’t. This is unacceptable. I’ll keep with my reviews until I get a call back and my car. Completely disappointed.

The man Adam that works their always over talked me. I could not explain what was wrong with my car after global transmission “fixed” it I came in for a tensioner and belt replacement and upon receiving my car back it now cuts completely off while driving! The owner is trying to help and did help in any way possible to fix my issues and I’m very grateful! But Adam should learn to listen to the customer first and then respond!

If I could give more stars, I would! 5 isnt enough. I have a rodeo that needed the transmission rebuilt. I was referred to them from a friend. I called and they gave me a quote for the rebuild. They even asked me if I wanted to come watch the rebuild so I know everything that was going on during the process! They gave me an amazing quote, stuck to it and notified me of every step along the way! Fast service, amazing customer service.I dropped off my truck to have it looked at because I did not know what was going on. They looked at it, found the issue(truck was thumping while driving. Thought it was an axle but turns out it was a bad tire), told me what it was and gave my truck back to me free of charge. As long as I live in Ft Walton, they will be the only shop to work on my vehicles. If you need a place that will be upfront and honest about what is needed to fix your car, stop by Global Transmission you will be glad you did.

Could not get the parts they needed, supposedly went through 3 different u joints and 5 transmission seals. Maybe thats their suppliers fault, things happen. Billing me 300 on a 200 quote and taking almost 2 hours to put in the transmission seal a week later after they ordered it by Vin and told me it would only take an hour though...Ive had worse experiences but also definitely had better.

Rodney runs an honest shop which is hard to find these days! I was visiting from out of state and he went out of his way to get my transmission replaced and ready for my return home.

I dealt with Rodney, Adam, and Chris, and am highly impressed with Global Transmission. Little background : we were debating buying a nice truck from a family member, for a great price, but..... with 212K miles on it. And a check engine light on. And thumping when accelerating at 45-50mph. Needless to say, I was nervous, as we had never even owned a vehicle with more than 130K miles on it. After getting it inspected at a dealership, and then calling/talking to 4 dealerships and 2 other local shops, 3 of the dealerships said not to even bother with the repairs, theyd be more than the car was worth. Everyone had a different opinion on why it was thumping between 45-50mph. 2 places (one dealership, one local shop) even took it for a ride, but told me different things were wrong with it. One said torque converter, probably needs a new transmission. One said might be the driveshaft, or might need a new transmission. Finally I decided to just take it to an actual transmission shop.Enter Global Transmission.When I first arrived, without even seeing the truck, I described the issues to co-owner Rodney, who said huh, sounds like an engine misfire. Me: engine misfire? No one had even mentioned that before at the other shops, or the dealership (how I PAID to inspect it :/ ). Rodney said theyd take it for a drive, I was welcome to tag along. Tech Chris did the drive, with the scanner/computer hooked up to the truck the whole time. Sure enough, computer scanner said misfire. Read out the exact time/temperature/rpm/speed and a bunch of other things. And Chris could even make it do it ON COMMAND. Look, its going to misfire right....now. And...NOW. And it did. He explained all this stuff about load on the engine, and it tells it to fire cylinders blah blah, and they were misfiring. Finally, someone who actually knew what they were talking about and could prove it - by making it thump on command and showing me the scanner saying misfire.Rodney recommended an engine tune up/new spark plugs/etc. Also, the transmission fluid was dark. Needed a service, and they said theyd take a look at things. Did the transmission service (for an excellent price), and told me the transmission looked great, from everything they could see, and detailed why they thought so.After the engine tune up, no more thumping!!Check engine light? Gone. It needed new catalytic converters, and the dealerships wanted (I kid you not) THOUSANDS for just the parts. Adam (with global transmission) recommended Sals muffler, which replaced the cat with a universal one for a couple hundred bucks. Blew my mind.After all was said and done, truck is fixed with a transmission service and an engine tuneup. Im sure it will last us a while, and if anything goes wrong, you can bet Ill be bringing it to Global Transmission FIRST. These guys are knowledgeable, honest and fair!! They could have easily tried to sell me a multi-thousand dollar new transmission, since I had even told them that multiple other shops had told me it probably needs a new transmission. But they didnt even try. They just diagnosed what the actual problem was, and fixed it, along with other minor repairs, like a pinion seal, for a great price, making it possible for us to buy the truck. And, while I waited for all the work to be done, they were extremely friendly. Making sure I had WiFi, drinks, etc. When I was leaving I asked them if they do simple things like oil changes, because I only want to come to them from now on. 😆 So happy I found these guys!

DONT GET SCAMMED I brought my jeep in to see why the engine idle was surging when I started it. they came back with $2000 of work that had nothing to do with the surging. they even said I was missing motor mounts!!!! Nothing was wrong with my motor mounts or anything else as they were trying to get money out of a single female. the only thing I had to do is change my air filter and the surging stopped. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!! To this day they have never contacted me to apologize and I wrote a letter to the owner. A very awful experience

They are liars and thieves. I paid for over $600 worth of work early last year and was amazed by how great these guys were, but it was just an act. In November I went to have them check my car because I had a long drive in my old car and my wheel sounded weird. Well Adam told me my bearings were bad and I had to change them right away because I wouldnt make the trip. He gave me a $400+ parts and labor quote. I didnt have the money and was panicked because I moved out of my apartment and had no other way of getting to where I was going. When I explained that I couldnt afford to pay gor tjose repairs he even had me sign the work order releasing them from liability if anything happened...A scare tactic. Thank god, I really didnt have the money because they would have robbed me. I prayed while I drove my car to my new home then drove to Miami and even drove hours back to fort walton beach without one mishap. And yes I had it checked by another repair shop that said I needed brakes and that need wasnt urgent. The noise I was hearing was my brakes being warped. Sad thing is I really liked this place and thought they were great. Now I wonder if they even did any of the work they charged me for the first time I went there in early 2017. The other place I went to charged me $224 to change my brake pad and rotors, which is way less than $400. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of them. They may go to church, but they dont practice the word.

Im very pleased with the service. I was quoted a reasonable price on the phone, and they stuck to it. My car shifts and drives like new, and Rodney & Adam went out of their way to accommodate my difficult schedule.

I have been doing maintenance on my own vehicles for 30 years, I dont have the tools to rebuild a manual transmission so I took it in. Everything they told me made sense. They stated 1st and 2nd gear would need to be replaced and that made sense, those gears were grinding because of severely worn syncs. I got a call and they told me the water pump also needed to be replaced which I had them do. I got the old water pump back after they did the work and it was in fact bad. The bearing was worn and it had play in the shaft that the fan mounts to. They also informed me the downstream O2 sensor, and throttle position sensor was bad and offered to replace. I did not have they do that because I can replace those parts myself. I did take it to OReilleys to have them code read it and they said the same thing, it was a bad O2 and TPS. I trust these guys and thats big thing because I know full well some of these places will take you for ride.

They do amazing work at a very reasonable price. The people are extremely friendly and very helpful.
