This is my second visit to,European- American Bakery, so I can say with confidence that a 5 star review is warranted. The wait staff is on point, very friendly and that is what you want when youre starting your day..and need that coffee cup filled up. Great food is another reason for the 5 stars.check out the photos.
Very comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast burrito was terrific.Coffee is hot and strong.Pastries were delicious without being overly sweet.Wait staff was AMAZING! Haley was patient and attentive and made a stressful time for us MUCH easier!
Great large selection for a menu. The food was great.! The service was over and above with kindness and constant attention for us because it was our first time there. Very busy place. Only complaints for not being a five-star was their tables need to be refurbished because theyre sticky and their chairs and booths need to be replaced theyre all crack and peeling. I will be back though.
Good very good staff very pleasant however they could use more staff as it got very busy fast
Friendly staff and the food is great! You feel like family when you enter the establishment. I recommend this place. Nice atmosphere.
The prices were reasonable, we ordered coffee, sandwiches and a desert and everything was very good. The employees are super polite, yet the only downside I noticed that I was not given the complete order, and another customer was given someone elses order. The people were very nice though and one of the girls ran out after me to give me the rest of my order. Otherwise would have been a perfect 5
Their breakfast is superb. I had one of their omelettes and it was great. Unfortunately, I forgot to review that and cant recollect my exact feelings. I did, however, order lunch and it wasnt as superb as the breakfast. Ordered the Turkey and Ranch Wrap, French Onion Augratin, and the Mega Grilled Cheese. The French Onion was a tad too salty. My favorite take away was the Turkey and Wrench Wrap. I liked it for lunch, and it wasnt too filling to where I couldnt go back to work.
Best bakery in town. The food is always delicious and the baked goods remind me of home. Anyone who can should give it a shot it worth every penny!
This establishment came highly recommended by a beloved family member who eats here at least once a month ever since moving to Lee County two yeats ago. Sadly, it did not live up to that recommendation. I had an omelet which was actually quite tasty, but the service I received from our waitress was severely lacking. Im not sure that Ill be back, as there are other restaurants in Fort Myers who serve similar breakfast fare and provide friendlier service to their patrons.
Incredible food! We came down from Richmond, VA to visit family and this place was so good we went the morning after for breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and pastries for the drive back. Do yourself a favor and go, you will not be disappointed.
Service was great! Quiche was good and full of bacon. French onion soup was ok but it tasted dilluted and lacked the beefy richness of really good french onion. The BLT and potato salad looked tasty. I think the desserts come from an outside source but the baklava was tasty and my friend loved her chocolate cheesecake! Im glad I tried it!
Service was very good! Haley D was super polite, friendly and helpful. Since this was our first visit, we asked for recommendations and everything She suggested was delicious. The Mac n cheese was the cheesiest I’ve had and I highly recommend. The European bakery is spot on and has great variety. Will absolutely be back to try breakfast!
Love this pace and their food is excellent! But today’s experience was disappointing. Arrived before my friend and was promptly served my ice tea...friend arrived and she was served her tea also. Then it went downhill. Took some time for a waitress to come take our order. It was late afternoon and not busy. Friend received her food by a delivery person, my food didn’t come, didn’t see the waitress. Finally flagged the delivery girl and she said she’d check...nothing. At least 20 minutes later I saw our waitress across the room and waved her over. She explained something about the computer not processing my order but not to worry it would be out very soon. In the meantime my friend asked her soup to be warmed as she had been waiting on my food to arrive and her soup was now cold. Finally, food arrived and was very good, as usual. Bill arrived with no mention of the fumbling of my order.Very unusual for me to write a bad review but felt management should be aware of the extremely lackadaisical attitude. Seems it should have been noticeable that one of two people that placed orders had not received any food as there were less than 10 patrons in the restaurant at this time.
The place has a nice atmosphere.Food is ok, just a bit overpriced. Wish there were more selections/meals, vs buying things separate . One waffle alone w powdered sugar shouldnt be $8. The banana bread and raisin bread are a bit bland, just my opinion, but i appreciate theyre homemade . The potatoes delicious, some were a bit salty (uneven throughout) but the omelette was great! Having butter for the toast and cream/sugar for the coffee upon receiving vs waiting a bit would be nice but I didnt make that big deal. Waitress was nice and patient.I visited due to the overall good reviews, but not really drawn to come back. Glad I did support a family owned restaurant.
Cant be on a diet here. The pastries are to die for. Lovely, quaint place to eat breakfast and lunch. Bill
I love this place. The food and the service are great. If you become a regular the servers remember what you order (at least in my groups case). Its a good local feel.
Pretty good breakfast. Nice variety. Wasnt quite as good as First Watch.
The food was great, everything is homemade but the portion is a little bit to the small side. Thats why I only give it a 4 star rating. My husband ordered croissant egg salad sandwich. He barely got any egg salad when eggs are one of the cheapest ingredients. He told the server about it, they have him more egg salad.
Food was decent, but the service was terrible. Once the food was dropped off, that was the last we saw of a server. Without anyone coming by, I couldnt tell them that the toast was unbuttered and there was no jam. No salt or pepper shakers on the table. My water glass went empty, and I had to go to the counter to pay. Omelette was fine, and potatoes good. Wife liked the french toast. They had help wanted signs up, so I get that they may have been short staffed. But you still have to do an absolute minimum of service to keep customers, and that was not done here.Wife wants to give them another try, so we will. I will review again when that happens.
Wonderful food and their bakery items are so good. After a late breakfast took home a muffin and cinnamon rolls for tomorrow. Worth checking out.
I knew this place was there for a long time but had no idea it was full service breakfast and lunch menu. I thought it was basically just a bakery. I was wrong. Totally caught off guard, the food was very very good. We will be back.
Sweet place to grab a bakery style breakfast with good salads. Prices could be better though
The food was delicious and the waitress was as cute as a button!
One of the first places my family went to eat while in Florida. The place is very welcoming and cozy, one cant help but feel good while here! The food was in large portions and absolutely delicious. My daughter (6 years old) ended up eating her own plate and her grandpas, absolutely loving it. Our waitress Ms. Jessica was very attentive and ensured we were not lacking anything at any given time. I am pretty sure we found our favorite place to have a family meal.
I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. It was absolutely delicious, service was excellent, fast & attentive, (our server was Anna), and the atmosphere was clean and cute. I had a California panini but swapped the bread it came on for a croissant, the sliced tomatoes, fruit and the potatoes. My boyfriend had the sunny side with the croissant French toast and the sourdough toast and potatoes. The whole meal including coffees and drinks was only $40 and to be honest, I’d have paid more. We will both be back.
This has become one of favorites in Ft Myers. Everything is always fresh.
Just a couple of Jersey girls finding a place for brunch and ran into this place. It is a must go! I had the brioche French toast and they melted in my mouth! They make their own bread! My friend had the Sunny platter breakfast with applewood bacon and she enjoyed every bite! The servers were so pleasant! This is going to be our favorite breakfast/lunch spot!
My first time here. Had the brioche french toast, thick slices. Service was exceptional. I would highly recommend this place.
Excellent food and service! Have the Sombrero very tasty and large portions.
Good food, excellent service. Great Breakfast items Convenient location with lots of parking
Nice place for breakfast! The food was great as was the service. The bakery looks wonderful 😍 Definitely recommend this place!
On a non-busy Wednesday with plenty of staff, I waited 20 plus minutes and still no one took my drink order. The waitress even came outside to another table and completely ignored us. This is unacceptable. I will not be returning.
The food is pretty good. The place was PACKED when we were there, which is always a good sign! But that meant service was kind of slow and inattentive.
For sure you get to taste Fresh Ingredients.Reminds you of home cooked food. Very Generic menu.Good collection Pastries and seasonal cookies for Fort Myers.Overall: Good for a weekend’s Brunch with Family.Food Maniac.
Great baked goods and great customer service. Restaurant part is clean and food is wonderful!
Great lunch! Mac n Cheese and a Cuban. Excellent!
I wanted to order take out this morning and was actually excited because I’d never eaten here before. I was automatically placed on hold for about 10 minutes before I decided to hang up and call back afraid that I was “forgotten” . I was placed on hold again and decided I no longer wanted to eat here because if your guests over the the phone aren’t valued, there is just no balance in the bussiness in my opinion.I called back and spoke with Heather who stated that “They were too busy to answer at the time 👀” lol not to my surprise at all but VERY PITIFUL.On the phone or in person, all guests should be valued the same but 🤷🏾♀️ marked as a “NO” in my book!
The chicken salad sandwich is to die for! We continue to come here over and over again. They are consistent and scrumptious!!!
Nice quaint place all sorts of fresh baked goodies and a menu you wont find anywhere else. So many good choices.
Next time your computers go down for a “couple of minutes” let your customers order and pay when you fix your own problems rather than telling me I have to wait for you to prepare food because of your problem. Huge waste of my lunch break and bad customer service. Don’t recommend.
Great food. I had the Santa Monica omelet and it was so fresh. Try the ginger peach tea.
European American Bakery Cafe, Metro Parkway, Ft. Myers,FL., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter. My choice was pick a pair. I picked french onion soup and a french dip sandwich. I was a big DIP in picking this eatery.WOW what a disappointment. Lets start small the pickle. It was barely a pickle and more just a cucumber dipped in a brine. yyeecch. The soup . A big blob of cheese, a large slice of bread at the bottom, lots of onions, and so salty I could have used it for a salt lick. The french dip sandwich. It was my mistake, I did not read how they bastardize the sandwich. But after reading the supposing ingredient it was still WRONG.I took the sandwich home. It was on a 2.5 inch bun. Yes I measured item. There was a bit of lettuce, bit of onions, bit of bell peppers, a slim slice of tomato. barely any slice beef. This so called sandwich was 6 bucks, soup $5.20, 12 bucks for both. Then 3 dollars for coffee, in a small cup so you need to keep asking for a refills. PLUS diet sweetener, brown sugar, AND a attitude when I ask for real white sugar.
Fantastic service! Always great food, too 👏
Incredible customer service. Literally everyone was amazing in the whole building. I felt they all truly cared about our experience and made me feel so welcome. The food was phenomenal as well. I will be back again and again. 🙏 Thank you.
Great Customer Service! The employees are very knowledgeable when it comes to the Menu. Nice atmosphere.
I often come here alone. And most times I wait and wait to be served. I feel invisible here though by now the staff should recognize me. I have this place more than enough chances. I’m moving on.
Ordered a buttered bagel received a toasted buttered bagel put butter on bagel EASY
This place was so much better before the addition. Not sure if it changed owners or something . Its still good . But service was better and the food was better
Good service 👍 nice people!
This place is absolutely fantastic!
First time here and We Were Pleasantly Surprised !! Incredible food. We had a hard time deciding from the bakery case.. Everything was delicious and the place was immaculately clean..We will be returning there soon !!!
Came for Sunday breakfast around 11am. Seat yourself, but servers came over quickly to take orders. Caramel macchiato (iced for me) was PERFECT. I didnt think the prices were much higher than average. It ended up being 27 dollars for 2 people, one of the meals was almost 12 dollars but it was a huge serving. Coffee was free refills and they were more than happy to put it in a to-go cup which is always a plus for me. Didnt have anything from the bakery but it looked like everything was to die for. I would recommend to anyone!
Shannon was a sweetie and so helpful
Great breakfast/lunch spot! Breakfast was awesome here. Fresh & delicious. I highly recommend this place!
Great service. Freshly made bakery products. Highly recommend.
Pretty cool place, good breakfast.
Love grabbing lunch here! My favorites are the Hot Bacon Spinach salad and the Turkey Pot Pie soup. Highly recommend!
This was an outstanding experience. I ordered the Avocado Toast & a Caramel Macchiato. Both were excellent. Prices were decent & the menu has selections for breakfast and lunch/dinner. They have a huge selection of fresh bakery items that also look delicious. They offer catering for any that need those services and by the dining experience I had, Im sure any catered affair would be successful. So what are you waiting for? Go try it out!
Just picked up our lunch and as usual it was delicious! My husband was so surprised at the size of the chicken salad sandwich. I chose to go inside to pick up and everyone was so happy that we were supporting them at this time...I am aware that take out at this time comes nowhere near what they would make as a sit down/eat in restaurant. We are happy they are serving as they can!!! Keep up the good work. We usually go at least once a week and will continue...
Food was Amazing! Our waitress, Shanon, was attentive, friendly, and at the top of her game!
Very fresh, tasty and nicely prepared food. Service was excellent and the people working there are very friendly and genuine. The bakery items are fabulous. Definitely going back.
What a terrific bakery and Cafe. The food was great and everything was very fresh.
Very nice little breakfast nook. Sausage patties were excellent as was the quiche Lorraine. Going to have to order the bread!
The food is great the service is great. I highly recommend this place. Thes pastries are nicely sweetened and not overly sweet like some bakerys.
Everything is super fresh, presented well and tastes delightful.
Excellent! We always find the best attention and the best food as well in this restaurant! 100% recommended
Delicious food.
Good food, but the interior needs a little tlc.
Havent been here in a while, and today was not a good one. Didnt get a refill on my decaf, my chicken cesar wrap had no chicken. Not a good experience. Sticky table.
Love this place. Always reliably great food. Run by a local family and you can tell there is TLC put into their food and service.
The food is delicious and menu is unique and surprisingly broad. Definitely a place to go to break the chain-brand fare. They also have a bakery that is visually enticing, which I have tasted on occasion. Tasty as they appear. They have more parking in the back. The avocado toast and vanilla chai tea brings us back over and over.
Not enough help. Servers work hard.maybe the owners should be there to help.
Very friendly staff and great breakfast food. Highly recommended
Ive been eating here since 2004 when I discovered it. The food is fresh and amazing! Ive never had a bad meal. Then there is the homemade breads, pastry, cookies and deserts. If you havent been here you need to go!
Best cafe/bakery in Fort Myers. Staff is always polite and work hard.
I have not had the opportunity to visit this location but have ordered several times over uber eats! Everything Ive got from here has been amazing! Tasty food, always tastes very fresh and even with ordering is perfect temperature and packing is very sustainable.
Always amazing treats, breakfast and lunch.
We have been going to this bakery since I was a little kid, the love, passion, and dedication to everything they make is apparent. The Portuguese Rolls are so good, and the kalochis are amazing. Do not miss a chance to go here and try it out for yourself.
This place is a great fusion between an upscale European bakery and hash slinging breakfast diner. The wait staff is wonderful, the quality and variety of food is outstanding, and their homemade salsa is great on eggs, sandwiches and I bought some for home and is a great accompaniment to grilled chicken breast. I come here often and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended.
Delightful place, good food and friendly staff. Would go again and recommend to all.
Great place. Great food. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient
