Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Tons of parts and bikes available if you’re looking to fix something up.The only disappointing part is that their selection of bikes that are ready to go fully repaired was like 8 bikes total. So not much selection there. Tons of parts and run down “as-is” bikes though and it seems they are very willing to help you fix up a bike or fix it up for you for a fair price.
This place and the people working there are - simply - amazing. After walking through the door and meeting Justin, I knew I was where I needed to be. They are professional and offer all the advice you might need. Plus, their repairs are top notch. The tech who worked on my bike… Chris… was efficient and a very good teacher. All you have to do, is ask and he/they will walk you through everything done to bring your bike ‘back to life’. They are friendly and very responsive in taking care of you (and your bike)… all in all, an A+++ shop. Don’t hesitate.. GO THERE when you need help with your bike.
This place is the best. They actually teach you how to work on a bike. Not just tell you but one of there expert mechanics will teach you in there shop hands on all about your bike. They are stocked with used and new parts and accessories at Great prices. Check them out you will be glad you did.
Great place for those who know/dont know how to make repairs. parts are cheap, help for those who need extra info, tools for those who do their own work. cool atmosphere and well cool patrons who ride bikes
These folks rock! When I came in I was originally just price checking, but Justin caught me looking, and before you know it he had me measured, a bike picked, a test ride given, adjustments made, and me a happy owner of a brand new (used) bike! I plan to go back for all my needs, and maybe even volunteer, since it seems like Id learn a lot
Honestly, I don’t understand why anyone goes to any other bike shop. This place is amazing! I always get great service, help learning to fix my bike, parts at cost, and the great feeling of supporting a local non-profit. Bought a road bike there last year, and all the components that came on it are Dura Ace.
Fair prices, wonderful employees, everyone is in a good mood, and the work gets completed quickly. Couldnt ask for more.
So awesome, amazing service and help from Justin and very affordable. Buy used!
Great place. Affordable.
Great place, cant recommend enough
This place is great! They have tons of used bike parts you can look through, project bikes, and loads of used tires. They also have new parts - basically everything to build up your bike however you like.I would highly recommend if you want to learn how to work on your bike and get parts for cheap. The staff are super friendly and checked on me multiple times to make sure I found what I was looking for.
Knowledgeable, friendly, staff that do quality repairs and maintenance. Thats why I gave the bike coop. Five stars.
This place is such a blessing to the community. Thank you Justin and the rest of the Staff and Volunteers.
Very affordable bike support and friendly staff
I LOVE this place! I have worked with multiple mechanics here who were all very educational and helpful. They have prices you can’t beat and a huge selection! The only downside is that they don’t carry parts for very modern or fancy bikes because of using mostly donated equipment.
Everyone is super friendly, are there to help you find the obscure parts you need, and their prices are great! A true gem of Fort Collins.
I cant say enough good things about our experiences here! They always over-deliver and have been super helpful the entire time. Ive been recommending them to everyone I can.
Great deals period..
This is one of the best bike places in town. Not for profit - their goal is to get more people riding bikes and teach them to work on their own bikes.Excellent for used parts. You can also work on your bike here - you pay for a mechanic to guide you and do the work yourself. They have used bikes you can buy and fix up this way.The best part about this place is their enthusiasm! Justin is always excited to hear what you are working on, and has good ideas and advice.
It is a great way to learn hands-on how to fix up your bike. The staff are patient, knowledgeable and helpful. The cost is super reasonable. I’m grateful for the Fort Collins Bike Co-op!
The Fort Collins Bike Co-op is awesome!!! I have worked on projects here multiple times with the help of volunteer mechanics. Each time Ive had a great experience. Its $10/hr for a mechanic to help you fix your bike, with the bonus of you getting to learn and hang out with the bike mechanic (Thanks Tim and Tim). I also bought an as is bike here that has been great. Thanks for getting me and keeping me rolling!!!
I was in here about two weeks ago, worked primarily w/ Tim w/an assist from Justin. I wont go anywhere else in the future. About as good of service as you can get from a loving uncle or similar. I was having an issue with the bike that required we swap out a couple of parts. It took a couple tries to get everything dialed in perfectly, but the guys stayed at it until I was 100%. I learned a great deal along the way and got out of there for well under $50. There is nothing like this where Im from in the Midwest. It truly is a gem. Great people, great times. Take advantage!!!!
Great place to get ur bike fixed cheaper than most bike shops
Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. The best prices Ive ever seen on bikes, parts, tires, and tubes. They also have as-is bikes that you can Frankenstein into working bike with help from one of their mechanics. Would HIGHLY suggest if you are looking to get a used bike.
I am so grateful for this place and its volunteers! I needed a lot of repairs on my bike (4 hours worth!), plus lots of spare parts, and Phil was incredibly patient and thorough. The education in bike repair alone was worth the money, and I was very impressed with everyones knowledge and willingness to work within my budget. They also welcomed my dog. Thank you all so much! I wish every town had such an amazing service.
Amazing place with kind and knowledgeable staff. I had a lot of fun fixing my bike with Jeff, the mechanic. You can buy inexpensive parts here and youll have a bike ready to go in a jiffy. Wish every bike town had a place like this!
Ive been wasting my time bringing my bike to other shops. The Bike Co-op was the best experience. My grandpa gave me his old Schwinn from the 1960s and Chris helped me repair everything, way more than I thought was wrong with it. And they had all the replacement parts for it right there in the shop. It was amazing, the bike runs so smoothly now! Thank you Bike Co-op!
I used the open shop with volunteer help, and was able to clean and partially rebuild my whole drivetrain for an incredibly reasonable price. They had all the specialized tools needed, as well as a volunteer who taught me a lot - Ive done other work on my own, but this was a great place to learn more complex skills. Much more satisfying than just dropping off at a bike shop!
Awesome place!! Went in today and fixed up a bike for myself from the as-is bikes. I liked that you work with the volunteer mechanic yourself and can learn about your bike and how to take care of it. Got a great deal, all used parts are super cheap and even went home with a bike rack for my car. Highly recommend this place for repairs, purchasing a bike, or whatever else you need bike related. Wonderful staff.
Check um’ out!! Super well organized place very friendly mechanic volunteers a lot of help having the right tool for the job. I went in with the broken bottom bracket blues. I had a cross thread issue and ended up breaking one of their tools to get it undone, I was able to buy the right part and install it on the spot and ride my bike that afternoon, all thanks to the well organized inventory of parts available on hand. I’m telling you, no way that this could a got done in my garage and now my bike works. Can’t say enough good things about this place I’ll definitely be back for all of my tuneups and anything else that I end up breaking on my bike thanks very much you guys rock!
The best place get your bike fixed thats both inexpensive and educational. Fantastic bike shop
Each time I have been into the co-op I have had a great experience. The mechanics are helpful and the best part is you get to help fix your bike and you get totally filthy in the process! Their new location is well lit and it seems easier to get around and find parts. Oh and also you end up paying about 1/3 the price of a regular bike shop. Love this place and I would highly recommend it.
I had a very positive experience with Bike Co-op. Like the reviewer below mentioned, the place is first come first served. I cant vouch for the rest of the week, but when I came on a Friday around 1:55, there were already a couple people ahead of me. I received service very quickly and was happy I arrived when I did... because soon after, the line got SUPER long... So get there early! The first time I came to the shop, I was helped very quickly, and the employee (forget his name, but I think hes the guy in charge) worked with me to find the perfect bike that fit my needs. Then I came back on that Friday because I wanted the handlebars switched out, and I worked with Mike, one of the volunteer mechanics, to replace the handlebars (free of charge - only charged me $10/hr for shop time) and make any other necessary adjustments. Keep in mind - the mechanic does NOT do all the work. If you need work done on your bike, prepare to get some grease under your nails! ;) I do not know anything about bikes, so he was very helpful and patient. We ended up spending more time than expected working on the bike, so they discounted my shop time charge. The staff was very knowledgeable about city/campus bike laws, showed me different bike accessories (without pressuring me to buy), and were overall very kind and helpful. I will definitely be back for any bike services I may need. Highly recommended!!
If you are looking to buy some inexpensive parts or work on your bike, this is the place. Knowledgeable mechanics help you get the job done for a nominal fee. Great place for a kid to build up a bike cheaper and of better quality than what you would get at a Wal-mart with the added bonus of an education.
I found this place to be pleasant. The people were very helpful. Good prices.
Very cheap parts and friendly staff I love to come here! But they could be a little more organized a lot of the parts were mixed and where you park is kinda dumpy.Over all I think is a great experience and place tho. 😁
Great experience, super friendly and helpful staff. Set me up immediately with what I needed and taught me how to do part of it clearly and kindly. Cant recommend enough. This is something we want to keep in our town. Did I mention their supplies are ridiculously cheap?? New tube, shifter cable, bottle of lube for 10 bucks. Enjoy!
Great customer service! The owner and another man were amazingly patient and gracious as they taught my daughter and me how to maintain our bikes. We were even able to get new helmets that fit well at a reasonable price. What a great resource for the community!
I didnt know any technical terms for what I wanted, but they were so helpful there. I was able to find a nice bike for a nice price. Highly recommend to check here.
You must visit here! you will get the best deal on bikes or their repairs .you will be helping out a non profit bike shop that contributes back to the community and also can gain knowledge on bike repairs great for all the family needs on bikes, they have an amazing selection along with friendly knowledgeable staff
What a wonderful resource. Great bike support by very friendly and helpful staff and volunteers. Very educational and affordable!
This place embodies what bikes are all about. People here are amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. The prices are very affordable. If you bike in this town at all, check out the co-op whenever you get the chance
Awesome place to build or fix your bike. Friendly people. The people who help you build/fix are Volunteers. It is a non profit organization. You get bike accessories at a lower place than other private stores. FoCo Bike Coop: you guys are doing a great Job. :)
Great Overall experience. Been a regular user for 2 years on commuter, road, and cruiser bike repairs. Knowledgeable, friendly staff, and very low rates and prices. It’s my go to bike shop.
Tim was so helpful and informative, thanks so much! They are great:)
This place is awesome, theres not enough stars in the sky to rate these guys! They helped me fix my bike up in no time. The entire time I spent in there was a blast and I learned a lot. The people are awesome and the bill was practically nothing.
Everything at the Bike Co op is spectacular!! Really great prices on bikes and gear!! Very helpful and knowledgeable customer service; especially Justin who always gets an A+!! If you think you know everything about recycling and taking care of the planet🐦🌷, you might reAlize you really f2ffont after visiting with these smart folks!!
The Bike Coop provides inexpensive bike parts, reconditioned bikes, and teaches customers how to fix their bikes. They also have programs that provide free bikes in exchange for volunteer work. FCBC is a significant community resource.
Always helpful, EXCELLENT prices and a great business that helps people and the earth! We love them!
Cant say enough great things! I have a vintage tricycle that I was told by a previous mechanic would cost me $600-$700 to fix up to even be rideable, and that I should just scrap it and buy a new one because it would be less expensive. Brought it to Cindy at the bike co-op and she fixed it up for me quickly and affordably! So excited to finally be able to ride it. Thank you!!!
Great place and great people. I have been going here for years and always feel welcome when I walk through the door.
These folks are super helpful and friendly, best prices Ive seen. Great selection of bikes both new and used as well as-is bikes that you can fix up yourself or pay a mechanic $10 to fix it and/or teach you how to do it.
Just exactly what I hope for in a shop offering used parts and space to work - organized, knowledgeable staff, space to move around, great prices! I love the new space and will return often.
Love this place! Justin, Dondi and all the other staff/volunteers are awesome here. Great prices too. This is my #1 stop for everything bike related. Even got an awesome deal on a refurbished Nishiki here
Look, Im serious about bikes, and promoting bicycling. Im delighted that Fort Collins is such a pro-bike community. On paper, the Bike Co-op is a great idea - it sounds wonderful. In reality, the co-op is staffed by rude-to-the-core people. Superior, snotty, uncomunicative, unhelpful, unpleasant people. Despite each of my five visits there being unpleasant, I kept trying to give the organization a chance. Every time I was disappointed. The last chance for the co-op was just this week: I had my brother in from Boston - youve never met a more hard-core bike nut than my brother. We went to the co-op for one simple thing: to look for a used stem for an old bike we were getting up and running. Thats all. The guy running the place wouldnt even talk to us. Rather than even looking my brother in the eye, he yelled at some volunteer to put this dudes name on the board and turned away. We turned away too - and I wont go back again, ever. After being told that I wouldnt know a usable part if it bit me, after being yelled at for standing in the bike lane (!?!), after being handed junk and told to donate $10, Ill never ever go to the Co-op ever again.I am telling everyone that they should go to Recycled Cycles - I just went there this morning (still looking for that stem) and not only was I treated very well by a knowledgeable and cheerful employee, I found the used part I needed for FIVE BUCKS. They have a great selection of parts to paw through. What a joy to be treated well on top of that.
Would highly recommend! They help you understand how your bike works without nickle and diming you.
An excellent place to find economical refurbished bicycles and parts if you can make it there while they are open.
Went to the coop a month ago and left with 2 kids bikes and two helmets for just over $40! Now, these bikes were a bit rough, but they were perfect for finding out if the kids were going to ride them. The last bike sat unused and the daughter didnt ride despite 5 people trying to get her to...So I got cheap bikes that they hadnt fixed up -- they didnt have any kids bikes that were fixed up. Once the kiddos went bike crazy, I then put some work into them: around $130 into her bike (similar ones are on craigslist for $150) for new grip shifters (the old ones were trashed), new cables, and various adjustments. His bike I put around $50 into: new tires and tubes and grips.I also got an adult bike, that they had fixed up, for $200. A solid bike, though the brakes needed some work (around $20 of pads ordered on amazon, which I installed myself).Love the bike coop.
This place has it all! Bikes and parts for every kind of bicycle imaginable. The staff is courteous and very knowledgeable.
Nice people. Fair prices. Good used bikes.
Suoer friendly and helpful and didnt judge me at all for not knowing anything about bikes lol thanks so much for the great deal to this place is great:)
Great people who really care. The best place to bring your bike for repairs in Fort Collins.
Always a customer friendly place.
The Fort Collins Bike Co-op exceeded my expectations in every way. The highest quality of service in a non profit that I have ever experienced. Ben and the staff that worked there went beyond and helped me fix many problems on my bike within the space of an hour. I not only solved the problems I went in to fix like a busted crank ring and a new lefthand grip shifter, but did my brakes, and trued a wheel. You can either work with a mechanic for the donation of only $10/hour and very cheap costing, high quality used parts, or trade the time worked on the bike for an equal amount of time working at the co-op, which you can often do the same day! Awesome service and I hope it stays around for many years. They also have a select few used bicycles for sale that you know were fixed and function right. The hours they are open and you can drop by are:Wednesday 2pm to 5pmThursday: 2pm to 5pmFriday: 12pm to 5pm
I got a very knowledgeable young man by the name casey very helpful and friendly
People here are extremely helpful... I think this is the best place in town to repair bikes
Very friendly helpful & knowledgeable staff. I was blown away by the low prices and the many exceptional services they provide
Great organization, great people. They helped me replace a broken front derailleur on my old cross bike -- actually Jeff did most of the work! Thanks much!!
Great place to get great bike gear at low prices and a very helpful staff
Really great resource for buying used bike equipment and parts. The volunteers that help you work on your bike can be a bit hit or miss though.
These guys are great! Love the things theirdoing here!

Its great. Helpful people.

Very friendly staff and great prices. Strange hours, but it is a co-op after all.
