Owner posted total lies.. he went crazy before I could explain and obviously has some issue... he started swearing in front of my wife and Id never been so disrespected by a business owner.. only go there if you want to deal with a Phycho and by the other reviews Im not the only one who thinks so ! If your work is anything like your personality Im sure it would show .. Avoid at all costs !!

Jeff is like your neighborhood gearhead that just happens to a mechanic. Every time I’ve worked with Jeff on things I can’t complete myself I always feel like you’re treated as a neighbor. I recommend everybody I know to Jeff at Star Automotive for his workmanship, trust, value, and professionalism.

Jeff is one of a kind. My Montero was leaking oil and no mechanical could figure how to stop it until i took it to Jeff. Price was reasonable and got done in a day. If you want quality work go to jeff

Ive referred my Dad, brother sister, girlfriend, girlfriends daughter, 2 friends, a friend of of a friend and 2 workmates. And they have all thanked me for referring them to Jeff. His shop is so clean Id eat off the floor. It may take a couple of days before he gets to you because he has no flunkies do the lesser jobs. I just bought a 1988 Ford Bronco and cannot do all the work that needs to be done. I heard from a friend that Star Automotive was the way to go, and he was right.I was greeted right away by the office manager. She told me it would be a few minutes until the mechanic could talk with me. We went over my issues and he went to take a look.What I really liked is that he didnt just tell me what was wrong, he showed me! He let me know exactly where the leaks and issues were and what needed to be replaced. He gave me a great price breakdown.The work was completed on time and very well done. He went ahead and showed me how it was supposed to look which made me understand just how bad it was before. It is safe to say I will be coming back here with any and all needs for my Ford Bronco 2!

Fast, friendly, great price...Jeff put on new rotors and brake pads for me in about 30 minutes. The cost of labor (I had the parts) was literally only 1/3 of other quotes I received. I would highly recommend Star.

I have been coming to jeff for years now. I have a very problematic 1998 jeep wrangler and jeff has been very patient and understanding. He has always explained the issues and has helped me understand what could be the next issue to lookout for. They are a family run business that treat each person like a life long friend( in todays environment that is a gigantic perk.) I was enitialy referred to them by another mechanic i know and also my mother in law. Long story short if you are having car troubles or mechanic troubles this shop is a blessing.

Ive never felt more disrespected. This man Jeff must have some serious psychiatric problems. Ive have never dealt with a customer service situation that was so unprofessional and hostile. This man is crazy he will literally blow his top and start screaming till hes red in the face to someone hes doesnt know coming to him for services. He does not like it when you ask questions. Which in my opinion is part of working with a mechanic. If he feels for one second your undermining him or questioning his skills he will lose it. Thats a huge red flag for me. Its very unsettling. Ive never been screamed at by a professional. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. I think its important people need to know how hostile and aggressive this man is cause honsestly he made me very nervous and uncomfortable bordeline scared.

(Response to owner: I had this fixed after he told me this at schonys automotive in Laporte Colorado for half the price he Jeff said he would do for 700$ Ryan in Laporte did it for 350$ and I didnt have to worry about Him yelling in my face like he wanted to fight me just cause I asked I a question.) This guy Jeff I thought was pretty hardworking trust worthy mechanic I mean I should I lived next to him for 8 years in Laporte Colorado he was my fathers neighborBut today I realized that he is incompetent and very inconsistent with his work I had spend 400$ dollers there for my electrical control module that he had pit in and the freaking guy pit it in wrong. Then I asked him of he could do a simple oil change for my car and maybe check out my brakes cause when there done by myself I dont know if I bled them right so i asked to to look over those for me to and he flipped out and starting yelling In my face until he turned red just because i was asking him questions about my breaks trying to learn a little bit about cars myself, but no if he cant fix it or if you ask questions to be reassured he will automatically start yelling at you and telling you your car isnt worth being fixed even it is really a 150$ doller fix he went from being a good neighbor and a great mechanic to being one of biggest and best con artist I know I definitely suggest taking your to car to Schonys automotive in Laporte Colorado his name is Ryan and he is very cool Caring guy that takes pride in what he does for a living, also if you question him or need to reassured about anything he wont flip out and start Yelling in your face.. 100% unimpressed.

Jeff just replaced my alternator..Nothing ever takes long at his shop.. I didnt even have an appt..and a couple hours later, got a call that my van was already done..and was nice on my pocket book too! His prices are lower than the others...Jeff is amazing!! Its worth the drive!!

Jeff seems like a knowledgeable and nice person. Until he cant fix your car. Then he becomes defensive and aggressive. I paid over $1000 to have my brakes fixed and he couldnt get the job done. When I asked him to make it right he berated me saying, sometimes you cant fix the customer, and told me that we are done.I will be reporting him to the Better Buisness Bureau and suing him to recover my costs. Thoroughly disappointed with my experience at Star Automotive.

Brought in my old lawn mower on an afternoon and Jeff fixed it that day and even had to run around town for parts. Fair price, friendly service, and cool shop.

Called and was asked if they had availability and they said no thanks and hung up in quite a rude way. I dont usually give bad reviews.
