I was visiting from out of town for 2 burial services. The a/c in my van wasnt working as it should. Stopped by here late in the afternoon. Owner took me right in even though they close at 5:30. They also gave me a ride back to my hotel & came and picked me up when they were done. A/C was low on charge. They did the service at a fair price. Were extremely friendly also. I cant say enough about how well they treated me and the service they provided. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Great business!

Called to get my car in and they were pretty booked up. told them that i could leave it and they could work on it on their own time. left a laundry list of things needed to be done and little stuff could wait til i got back from weekend trip. he did wonderful! fixing several things and got me setup for my trip. i highly recommend Grout Automotive.

We had an issue with our jeeps ABS turning on and stopped to have it checked out. Steve and Greg were awesome and super nice. Gave us advice on what to do because it was an intermittent issue that we could take care of at a later date. We will definitely visit them again if we are in the area and need something done or checked out.

Well I had two very expensive tires put on my truck after receiving a stimulus check, the snow kind I thought. So why evan when it rains no traction I need to be careful ..I feel so ripped off...Then when It snows dont get me started.. The alignments is bad too..Yep Im a girl and I have a feeling thats why the quality is so messed up just a hunch 🤔Update...I want to thank the owner Greg for going the extra mile in the dead of winter by loaning me his SUV so he could replace my bad tires and put on not only the 2 but 4 and these look like really safe snow tires... I really appreciate it Greg you and your company going above and beyond my expectations to make things better

Grout is the most trustworthy car repair place I have been to in this area, I’ve been to a lot. This is best by far, I wouldn’t hesitate to take my cars there for anything. It took a few times to diagnose the problem, we were told several different things it could be by other places, seemed like they were just trying to nickel and dime us. Greg didn’t charge us until he knew for sure. We ended up needing a new engine, he found us one at a great price. They found a couple of other problems but stuck to the original estimate. Greg was always available to answer questions and give good advice.If in Northern Ky this is definitely the place to take your car.

I recommend Greg and his team to everyone i know. He is fair and honest, best mechanic we have ever dealt with hands down.

My Audi had a major coolant leak and I had to park it at the store where it started leaking everywhere. I was hesitant about taking it anywhere but Audi. I called the non- Audi dealership where I bought it and they suggested taking it here. They answered my call during non-business hours, talked me through the issue, asked clarifying questions to help diagnose the problem, and scheduled me in the next business day. They didn’t charge me to find the problem. They covered the tow up front until it was finished! The owner called me himself to talk me through the pricing before he started working on it. They called the next day with it done. It was a big relief! Thank you!🙏

If I could rate them a 10 I would. I have been going to Grout for oil changes for about a year now (Im lazy). I have always had good experiences with them. While they may not always be the quickest their staff is amazing and their service is unbeatable so I dont mind spending the extra time.The reason Im finally posting a review is for my fiances interaction with Grout on 8/21/18.At my urging she had dropped her car off for an oil change the day before. They were completely booked, but after asking about a different day Greg, the owner, got on the line and squeezed her in. We missed their closing time so we came back the next day to pick up her car. Greg had called the night before about an issue with the oil pan, but we didnt think much of it until we saw a bill for $160. Since he couldnt let us drive out with a leaking pan, they had to replace the whole thing. We suspect that the cause of it was actually previous people who changed her oil over tightened the plug and stripped the threading. Greg still acknowledged the perception that they were the last people who touched it and removed the oil pan from the bill completely. Needless to say, Grout has gained 2 loyal customers. It is hard to find honest mechanics that will do right by the customer even if they take a hit in the process. Greg and his people are, by far, the best that I have dealt with and I cant recommend them enough!

Straightforward, honest, no gimmicks, excellent service. My total bill was about what was estimated initially, but Greg knocked off almost $50 for my trouble just because I had to leave the car there overnight (which had nothing to do with Grout, they were just waiting on a part). That is the sign of a good businessman and mechanic. I will be bringing my vehicles back here again!

Very pleased with the work done by Greg and his team. I live 1000 miles away, but my daughter lives in Northern Kentucky. I searched the web for garages with good reviews and found Grout. I spoke with Greg on the phone and explained our long distance situation and was put at ease. Once the work was done, Greg called me and went over the bill and the customer experience was exceptional. I dont get that kind of personalized service where I live at the local service centers. Over the past several years, I have purchased and had tires installed, oil changes, tire rotations, brakes - all long distance. I get an honest assessment of the vehicle and what is needed - piece of mind when my daughter is in another state. The last time I visited her, I made a point to visit the garage in person to put a face with a name and thank Greg and Staff for keeping my daughters vehicle safe.

One of the most fair automotive shops Ive ever dealt with. I have a high mileage 2002 Honda Civic that I drive between Louisville and Cincinnati airport for work. On my way to the airport at 4 am, car overheated and lost a lot of radiator fluid. I had to catch a flight so left the car in a gas station parking lot. Couldnt tell if the fluid was being vented due to overheating or the overheating was due to a fluid leak. I didnt have the time or tools to diagnose it.I hadnt ever used Grout Auto, but I left them a message which included the car and keys location as I was boarding the aircraft. By the time I had landed 7 hours later, Mr. Grout called me to tell me he towed the car to his shop, looked at it, topped it off with radiator fluid, and recommended not putting much money into the suspected head gasket (the transmission is on its last leg so wouldnt be worth putting money into). He did all that free-of-charge. Any other mechanic shop would have charged at least $200 for a diagnosis, towing, and fluid. Highly recommend them!

Took my Jeep in after it began having the death wobble. They got it in and back to me the next day. Have had it back for a month now, and there has been no signs of the problem coming back, or any others. Very happy with the work, and the helpfulness of the staff. Will be returning for any future work that needs to be done.

Messed up my electric elements in my car. Still working on it. Will NEVER take car there. Wouldnt give me a work ORDER to prove I was there. They know they messed it up and broke things INSIDE of car. They were nice but dont know how to fix a car.

Wish we lived closer to this place we would make them a permanent body shop for us. We were passing thru on our way home from The ARK Encounter and we wherein our way to Creation Museum on a Saturday morning and our truck broke down. We have AAA and they towed our truck . We had to find a place where they would look at our truck and fix it so we could be on the rode again. We found them and they went above and beyond on a Saturday afternoon to help my husband and 4 boys and I. There was only room for 2 people in the tow truck. So that ment that 1 adult and 3 little ones of us had to walk over 2 miles in a strange city . I was using my GPS in my phone and my phone died and this sweet lady named Margeret that drives and really sweet minivan gave us a ride . When I got to Grout Automotive they had given my husband one of there vehicles to use to come give us a ride . The workers called my husband right away and told him we are there . It was such a great feeling and in such a helpless situation so far from home. Thanks so much to the 2 brothers and workers and Margaret. Had a water pump leak. Told them what was going on and they took my car in and checked it out...they called me up said yep you have a small water pump leak...they scheduled me a day to get it fixed that worked best for me...the best part is when i dropped off my car i couldnt get ahold of anyone to come pick me up...Gregs brother gave me a ride home!!! very nice guy....car was fixed within a few hours... when it came to pay they quoted me 350 but final price was close to 400...but they only charged me with quote price...never once were they rude or try to make me over pay....Very honest and hard working auto shop...will always take my car their for work!!!

An honest small auto shop. It may take more time than a chain auto repair shop but if they quote you a price for parts and labor thats what you pay.

I dropped my car off at Grout after noticing a smell while driving. They called me back after a couple days & said the brakes were getting hot & because of that Id need new pads, rotors, calipers, hoses, everything, which would end up costing me well over $600. Upon hearing that my dad (who has been working on cars for over 20 years, I only took it to Grout to save my dad some time) called and asked if they took the wheel off or anything else to see if the damage was truly that bad, well turns out they hadnt done anything to my car except MAYBE drive it!After learning this I went to pick my car up (the gentleman at the counter wasnt outright rude, there was definitely what seemed like some condescending tones there) and take it to my dad for him & my fiance to look at. Come to find out the problem wasnt everything Grout said it was, but one single bad caliper.The only reason I went to Grout in the first place was because of the good reviews & the fact that theyve done work on my fiances engine (they didnt put his engine cover back on) and they seemed to be a mechanic you could trust. But because of this Im very hesitant to use them again & I dont think Ill recommend them to anyone else.Always get a second opinion! Dont waste $675 on a $180 problem!

My experience was horrible. I had one stuck brake caliper should have coast 2or3 hundred but no he pulled all the wheels off said it said it needs all this stuff that I know it didnt but he wouldnt fix any of it unless he could do all for 1400 dollars . I would advoid this place at all coast I will never go back or tell anyone to go there.
