This place was a life saver for my family and I. We were traveling and all of a sudden the Battery Saver Active light came on in our Chevy. Unsure of what that was we began googling. Google stated it could be as simple as a battery (we just got a new one) or as serious as the Alternator. To air on the side of safety we pulled off to the nearest truck stop. Called AAA. A tech came out...it was the alternator! I called to see if they could service us same day. We were towed to their shop. Upon arrival Sarah greeted up with a smile. Marty followed with the same superb customer service stating they were waiting for us and ready to get started. They had a very nice waiting area and even a company van to take you to grab a bite to eat! As a business owner, this was Top level customer service! This shop was fantastic from the get go.Towed my truck and horse trailer off of I-95 to their shop and got my 2017 F-350 diesel in the shop right away after getting gas in the fuel tank. This is a amazing shop. I am from Atlanta GA and my lug nuts broke and my wheel was hanging off I want to 10 different shops to get it fixed and no body could do the job until next week or could not do it at all. Start off by saying this place is pricey. I believe they think they work for NASCAR. Charged $800.00 for a ten minute tow and a fuel pump on a 94 GMC. I understand you pay more for quality but with only one year warranty shows me they dont trust their own work. Guess customers are paying for the prettieness of the employees. I could care less of what they look like,just be a mechanic and do quality work. However they fixed multiple problems just by replacing the fuel pump so I cant argue on that.

This place is a must go in Florence for your automotive needs. Super professional, clean, honest, and friendly. Worked on my 01 COBRA while I was out of town and did an A+ job. I highly recommend!

Had a 4wd transmission rebuilt with what was supposed to be a 2yr or 24k mile warranty. About 2 months after getting my vehicle out the transmission would shift past 2nd gear. The owner did the warranty the work because he “heard around town” that I was racing the truck. I’ll never do business with them again

We were driving from Savannah back to Upstate New York and our car broke down. Luckily we managed to get it to the amazing folks at Dun-Rite who looked at it straight away. The people couldn’t have been nicer and were so friendly. They have a lovely waiting room with coffee and a huge TV you can watch while you wait. The owner popped in to check on us regularly and update us on what was going on.When they told us they were unable to fix the problem (it had to go directly to Ford to be fixed) they went above and beyond to help us get there. They helped us organize a tow truck and hire car (it wasn’t a quick fix) and even drove us to the hire car place to make sure we got there safely. The owner even called us a few hours later to make sure we were ok!We massively lucked out breaking down by Dun-Rite! The people will do anything they can to help and are some of the friendliest people I have met! Thank you so much for taking such good care of us!

What lovely people. My daughter was driving North and road debris dislodged the Engine Splash Guard. The wonderful people of Dun-Rite (shout out to Janice and Marty) were kind to her and supportive and just wanted her to reach her destination safely and comfortably. They looked at her car right away and fixed her problem so she was able to resume her trip. I cant thank them enough for their help and kindness. I would recommend Dun-RIte to everybody!

Ive had issues with a ball bearing in one of my tires for about a year now, and its been progressively getting worse as Ive worried about finding the money to get it fixed. A coworker of mine brought it to this shop and got the ball bearing fixed and my brake pads replaced, since the bearing had worn mine out. They did this for me free of charge, as thanks for my military service, while I was at work right before I needed to make the two hour drive to Charleston. I could not possibly be more grateful to my coworker and this shop for their help and generosity and once my official move to Florence is finalized in the next few months, I will absolutely come here for every single one of my auto needs. This shop has amazing values and I cannot thank them enough for how smoothly my car drives now!

My kids and I were traveling home to NJ from Daytona. We stopped to get gas around 2:00 and my truck wouldn’t start. The tow truck driver recommended this place and I’m glad he did. Marty and staff were very professional. I took my car to Dunrite after having acceleration issues. Marty took his time to run test on my care to diagnose the issue and found a couple of possibilities but he did not want to guess the problem, he wanted to be certain. Marty kept my car an extra day, drove it around and retested it, which he found that the issues that were previously showing no longer existed. Marty was upfront and honest and did not try to claim problems that were not there. Marty did not charge me for the test he ran and simply told me, if I had anymore issues just give him a call and hell get my car back in. The service was great and an honest assessment was given.

0/10 would recommend. Charge you arm and a leg, and that’s IF they don’t misdiagnosis your vehicles issue.

We are from Columbus GA. Our vehicle was having problems so we took it to Dunrite so we could get back on the road and get home. They were busy but cared enough to check us out and get us on our way. Very friendly and outgoing staff. If I lived in Florence, this is the only place I would take my cars for repair!!!! A++++++++ service!!!!

Took a day and a half to get to my vehicle, did a cursory check, and gave an incorrect diagnosis costing thousands of dollars. Had it worked on elsewhere to learn of this incorrect diagnosis only to have to pay for that repair and the real problem as well. I expected more from Dun-Rite, but everyone wants to blame someone else and no one wants to take responsibility for their actions, so the owner is always left holding the bag.

We broke down On our way to New York from Florida could not have been happier to have been told about Dunrite in Florence SC, Marty the manager is outstanding they kept us informed and took us in right away could not have been more honest about what our trouble was and they fixed it in a speedy manner could not be happier with the folks at Dunrite they even drove us to the car rental and our hotel

The people were friendly! The service was relatively quick. My battery died and I was towed there 2 days ago. They fixed my battery and it was approximately $250 (labor included). I got my car back and the radio controls/clock set up option were no longer functioning. I took it back to the shop and waited over an hour to be told yes there are a few codes but we dont specialize in after market radios. It worked fine until my new battery was installed. So fair warning if you have an after market radios installed just be careful taking your vehicle to Dun-Rite. Now I have to go elsewhere and pay more money to get it fixed because they dont know how to fix it themselves. Not knocking the company. I just wish I had known this beforehand.

We were on our way home to TN coming from Myrtle Beach. My vehicle was making horrible noises coming from the rear. My roadside protection plan was not what I thought it was, so with it being 3:30 on a Friday, I had to find my own tow and service station. I did not have time to wait on my roadside service and I could not understand their language. I called Dun Rite and not only did they send a tow truck immediately, they sent a van to transport me and my friend and also 3 kids. Even though it was closing time, they had my vehicle fixed and we were up and running. Thank you so much for all you did for us Dun Rite employees!!! PS. I sent a thank you note yesterday with a Dominos gift card so all of you can enjoy pizza for lunch!

We were driving from Summerville SC back home in VA when the engine light came on and the van started running rough. We were blessed to be right before Florence SC so got off the next exit and searched for the closest AAA service center. Blessed again to find Dun Rite just several miles away. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and very professional. They had us back on the road in a short time with information to discuss with my local mechanic when I get home. I was in a jam and AAA recommended I be towed to this shop. The customer service was friendly, kind, and helpful. The charges were reasonable. They have a comfortable waiting room and nice restrooms. They are conveniently located between downtown and the interstates. There is an ATM at a bank a block away if needed and they also take cards for payment. They have a large lot for convenient towing in and out.

My daughter and I were travelling from NC to FL when my care broke down. The AAA driver recommended we take it to this shop. After getting there we were taken in with a kind smile and warm greetings. They really treated up like family while we were here. This is how stores should be run. First off I’m not sure where to begin I honestly can’t say enough good things about the service and help me and my family were provided. My wife and I along with our grandson limped into their shop on a Friday around 430 needing serious help with my truck. The staff was quick to pull my truck into the shop and give me a quick diagnosis of the potential problem. It was close to closing time for them so they gave us a ride to a local restaurant so we could grab a bite to eat and make plans for what we were going to do to continue our trip. Monday when they return to work they diagnosed my problem gave me a call with an estimate for the repairs. Of course with my luck it was the worst case scenario but that wasn’t their fault. After speaking with Eric about the estimate for the repairs and advising him that I would need a couple days to decide what I was going to do and he was very understanding. To make a long story short (I will spare everyone the boring details) after more than a month I was finally able to make arrangements to pick up my repaired vehicle. When I did pick the vehicle up I wasn’t even charged a storage fee for it sitting on their property for more than a month. The estimate I was given was what I paid and no “all of sudden” other repairs needed. I picked up my vehicle and proceeded to drive it to Florida and then back up the coast to Myrtle Beach with no problems whatsoever. Everything seems to be working great (knock on wood). I just want to say a big thank you to the staff at Dunrite automotive. Would recommend them to anyone. Pricing seemed to be fair as well.

I would absolutely recommend this company for all of your auto needs! They’re reliable, affordable, friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate. These are traits that most businesses are lacking now a days so that in itself speaks volumes. They were highly recommended by friends but the owner personally reached out to me and walked me through the whole process. Car repairs are scary and you never know when you’re getting what you paid for, you don’t have to worry about that with them. My son is very sick and I needed my van fixed to get to his doctors appointments. They understood the urgency of our needs and fixed it in 24 hours. They went above and beyond the original issue and completed a full systems check. They repaired all issues to ensure my van was in great working order to get us to and from Charleston SC. (MUSC Children’s Health). I now have one less issue to stress over and can put ALL of my attention where it’s needed most, on my son and his medical needs. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about them! They come highly recommended from me!

Best decision made to have our car towed to Dun-Rite. Finding out that the transmission in our car (only 70K miles) was not pleasant. Rodney and his staff made it less painful to deal with it. First impression was great: Ms Brenda was very friendly and walked us through the process. Rodney explained our options letting us know what would be our best options without breaking the bank. Both he and Eric discussed in detail what failed with the car and how it could be remedied. Rodney even showed us the parts, how they worked and how they failed. He was patient and thorough in explaining the problem to my non-mechanical trained self. Estimates provided were very close to actual fees. He also researched if there is a recall and advised us to keep the receipts and documentation just in case. Repairs to the car were completed and delivered timely. The Dun-Rite team did excellent work, very friendly, always communicated with us and I highly recommend them!

I am so happy that I found Justin at Dun-Rite Automotive. These guys are very courteous and professional. I felt valued and appreciated by them. I will exclusively use them from now on. Its a relief knowing that my vehicles are in good hands. They performed only the work needed, and the didnt try to upsell me like other mechanics have tried to do.

Super friendly, helpful, and knowledgable staff. My car overheated on the side of the highway and my insurance suggested I tow it here, I called them and they were extremely kind and wanting to help me/calm me from the get-go. When the tow truck finally came and dropped me off it was close to their closing time but they quickly brought it in and diagnosed the problem. Luckily it was a quick fix, gave suggestions for future maintenance and I was able to complete my trip to NC. They were unbelievable and seriously my angels in a time of distress.

Last year I had a shutter in my transmission so I took my van into Dun-Rite to have them check it out for me. Thankfully, it only needed a good transmission service and was doing great. The cost was very affordable and the service worked like a charm. Exactly one year later, the shutter came back. So, I called them back and stated the issue. They immediately got me scheduled to come in. Once they looked at my vehicle they realized it was actually an issue that the manufacturer had to correct with a computer update. They called me and explained everything. When I went to pick up my vehicle, there was no charge. I stated to them what the dealership had told me the solution was and they were so happy to hear that there was an easy fix for me. They were genuinely concerned about myself and my vehicle. Should we have any other issues with any of our vehicles, they will be the first call.

They really live up to the name. Customer service is excellent and theyre not done until the job is done right.

My car broke down in the middle of a cross-country move. I brought my car to Dun-Rite at the recommendation of AAA. The issue with my car was not a simple one (it required 2 separate fixes!), and they kept me informed on what was going on every step of the way. The communication was great, the service was great, and I felt safe leaving my car (which was full of a lot of my personal belongings) with them for several weeks. Ive never had such a pleasant repair experience, and if I lived in the area I would absolutely be a customer for life!

Out of state diesel Mercedes goes dead on I-95 and Eric, at Dun-Rite recommends -- and even helps arrange the tow to -- a competitors business (a specialty shop) for repairs. This is CUSTOMER SERVICE above and beyond the pale! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Integrity of this caliber deserves all the business it can get.

We were traveling from a mid-Atlantic state to Florida and stopped overnight in Florence, SC. On the morning that we were leaving, our SUV would not hold an idle. We called Triple-A, who took care of our towing needs, and the towing company took our vehicle to Dunrite Automotive, because they were the closest Triple-A approved automotive repair shop to our location. What a blessing that was. They diagnosed our vehicle immediately and had it fixed within an hour. Their waiting room was clean and comfortable. They provided us with coffee and donuts (yes, donuts) while we waited. It was a most pleasant experience.

My cars alternator was shot in the middle of I-95 and my car was towed here-- I could not be more pleased with how fast they were able to repair my car and the people were seriously some of THE nicest most accomadating people Ive ever met.They were able to get someone to pick me and my brother up from a nearby hotel and bring us to their location, so no hassle or costs for a taxi!If I could give them 10 stars I would.

After having some work done on my car I had some issues a few thousand miles later. Ended up having the work done somewhere else but Ronnie made things right and reimbursed the cost of the repair. I am very displeased with the professionalism that this business has! My fiancé dropped by vehicle off at 11a.m . It needed to be looked at due to it running hot. The guy told him that it would take a while, which was fine, so my fiancé called him back several times because nobody contacted us to let us know if and when it would be ready. It’s understood that they may be busy and have others ahead of us, but the guy did not tell us he had to keep it overnight nor gave us any details as to when we could pick it up. He specifically told my fiancé he would give him a call back before he left the office and we never got a call back! Obviously the place closes at 5 so of course there is no way to get my car back until tomorrow. I am very frustrated that we were gave the run around and were not told the details of what the plan was in the beginning. If they had to keep it overnight then I feel as if he should have addressed that to me! Not only but I called the number on the recording for after hours and the guy that answered pretty much told me there was no way to contact anyone until tomorrow. This was my first time going there and it will definitely be my last!

This place was amazing. Our car had to be towed and this was the nearest AAA rated mechanic. The receptionist was super friendly and even allowed me to put my soda in their refrigerator to keep it cool. Their waiting room was air conditioned, clean and comfortable. They provided coffee, TV, childrens toys and books and one of the mechanics even brought in some Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The mechanic quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it within an hour so we could get back on the road again on our way home to Florida. Our transmission went out while we were traveling through town. Jason and his crew went out of their way to get a new tranny shipped and installed at a very fair price...would highly recommend this shop to anyone!
