We shop at the University of Michigan- Flint bookstore for my son’s books to college. The staff are always helpful and friendly. You probably need to show your student ID to get into the pavilion due to COVID-19. There is plenty of University merchandise to choose from however, I still think the merchandise is overpriced, even with the sales.
Poplar place but very attentive
This is a Barnes & Noble bookstore. They have not only textbooks for students but plenty of novels and clothing accessories, as well as snacks. It is open to the public and it is a popular spot and a top notch business.
This bookstore is great in that it has the books the students need. It also holds apparel for athletics and U of M support. They also have a selection of new books for people who are looking for new books. They also have bargain books for those on a budget. The staff was helpful and happy to answer any questions I had.
They sold me a book with an online code that was scratched open already. I called them and they assured it worked even though it clearly was obvious someone used it. Try to use it for class and of course it was a code already used. Pretty shifty to do to students hopefully I get my money back or some refund towards buying the online class access elsewhere. Not to mention also with the order i had ordered ceramic mugs and they shipped them in a bag. Really frustrating to deal with if you are a distant learner i dont reccomend buying any books from here
Super great service, always!!!
Good drinks, good service
My daughter attends school there
I really enjoy going here to get authentic college gear and its very easy to find books and also usually theres not a big wait time so for the most part its a great place just a little pricey but thats expected at a university
I love those place and the options they offer from food to clothes to a beautiful view of downtown
The people was friendly
Book store is extremely overpriced. They do price matching but only for established retailers with similar prices to theirs. There are several $200 books I need for this semester that I can get for $2 online with minimal effort.
Brothers Keepers is a good place to go when you are homeless they will help you find things that you need that help you get on Section 8 they are very helpful and they do a lot for you that they can do they give you lunch in the afternoon and if you stay there at night they give you a nice warm dinner a place to sleep a shower and they can watch where they wash your clothes for you every night
Good selection but a bit more pricy then a normal store
I used to rent my text books there on the rare occasions that they were cheaper than on Chegg. The last time I did, I went to return the book. Mind you, I returned it in the exact same condition that I received it, which was some water damage. It was still 100% usable, so I did not think anything of it considering it was a used rental. However, when I went to return, they told me that they could not accept it and that I owed $35. To which I refused. I explained that it was how I received it, to which I was told was impossible. Never have I ever had any problems with renting books from anywhere else. They basically treated me like a criminal and talked to me like I was a child getting in trouble. I still refused, as I know how careful I am with books, mine or anyone elses. That book was never near any fluids when in my possession. I wont pay for something that happened to a book that didnt happen when I had it. The manager ended the conversation with Well, now we have your name in the system, and we know what you do. So you wont be able to get away with this again. I have never been back, nor will I be. I have never been treated so poorly as I was in this store.
Theyre like every other generic college bookstore: theyre overpriced. Shouldnt even exist, imo. Its just a way for the university to get more money.A lot of the employees seem like theyre constantly on edge too and will get mad over the stupidest things. Makes me wonder what managements like and how much theyre all getting paid.
Snotty worker and they blame venders for there ordering problems and mismarked items
Go Read a Book! Thats what they told me and thats what I did
I have always found the employees to be friendly and helpful. The selection of clothes is a little light for such a good sized campus.
Its conveniently located in the right place and the staff is friendly.
Way too overpriced! It is shameful that they are ripping students off for school supplies.
Awesome University, and great place to get University of Michigan gear.
Its a pretty cool plaza with a few good restaurants inside but the parking is terrible.
Big selection books, university gear.
Pricey snack but was tasty
College bookstore ... Overpriced or out of stock... But what can you do. Buy everything possible on Amazon and only go there when you have to.
I hate university bookstores and this one was no exception. This place is way overpriced and contributes to the unnecessary hikes in school fees.
Great collection of books and clothing
Theyre overpriced af. Buy your books online.
School can be stressful but the employees here are helpful!
Like how the the main offices above the food court therefore while students are waiting on advisor they can get a snack while they wait.... bookstore had so many options for students to rent or buy books
Why so expensive? Ill stick to other online retailers for STEM materials.
Always a great place to visit.
It is awesome.
Had exactly what I was looking for!
Good selection, but somewhat overpriced.
