I’ve seen other reviews and don’t think anyone can accurately describe how viciously rude the manager/owner is. I mean mental hospital rude. I do believe the employees are friendly and helpful but if you ever have to communicate with the management………..Beware! I can imagine the ton of business that has been lost. I can also imagine the nightmare it would be to work there.

State Beauty is by far the best beauty supply store in the area! They have a fantastic selection and an amazing stuff that is extremely helpful. the ladies up front are always pleasant to chat with and they know what theyre talking about when you need help.

*you must be a licensed professional to shop here. Good sized store but did not stock what we were looking for. They are very good about ordering what you want with a short turn around time.

Love State Beauty Supply! The ladies there are so sweet and are always there to help with any products you have questions about or can’t find! Love being a local hairdresser and being able to buy from here!

Ihave been going to this State for almost 2 years. I like the owners and the staff is nice and helpful. They have good knowledge of the products and I have had pleasant experiences. The owners sometimes have 2 or 3 dogs in the stores personal office that are not allowed in the main store. The dogs are well behaved and my son loves to go the office and pet the older dogs. I would suggest this store to anyone and agree anyone can have an off day.

This is by far my favorite supply house around. The staff is always friendly, they remember who I am, and always have answers to my questions. Product recommendations are always spot on. One hundred percent recommend making this your regular beauty supply house!

I’ve been shopping this store for years with no issues. Just returned a product and the owner was so hateful. Will NEVER step foot in that store again as long as he’s the owner. Sad way to treat people. If he’s ever sick and I have to be his nurse I will treat him better than he treated me. Taking the high road.

I went in to exchange a faulty product, the owner was extremely rude and started yelling at me and told me to leave and she never wanted to see my face again! She grabbed my phone and walked me to the door where she proceeded to push me out of the door and yelled at me. Then her husband came and pushed me (much harder than his wife) and told me to get off of their property after I called the police. exchanging a product should have been an easy task that they turned into a physical altercation for absolutely no reason. I advise no one ever goes here due to the plain fact that they are incredibly hateful.

I had been coming in there for a couple and i had very few problems. I had spent 1000$ in October and there point machine wasnt adding my points on my card the owner and there accountant in the back said they would take care of it. I came back a month later still wasnt fixed, but they would take care of it. I called before i came down today and was informed that the point system had changed. There was no notice on the walls in the front or anything else. I asked when did it go into effect and they said October.. i had been in there twice since then and no one said anything. So my reward for spending 1000 with them was 40$. The old system would have given me atleast 80$ and like i said it wasnt posted anywhere that it had changed and the owner of course wasnt there....I will never shop there again... the rules shouldnt change without notice to everyone... posted somewhere... or should there be different rules for different people... And just in case they forgot... MY MONEY SPENDS EVERYWHERE....

Heard about this experience. Some Students from a hair school went to tour this store in fayetteville,ar. The store rep there said she wished they would have called first because they dont have enough people to watch them while they walked around,mind you the majority of the students were african american and from what i saw she was talking to them specifically. There were only about 15 students also, it seemed they were ready to buy,too. Needless to say the students all left once their instructor heard that store rep say those things to her students and told them lets go. I hope this hair school never brings their students here again.

The woman was so unnecessarily rude that I went to Sallys on College. I eneded up spending double on other things because they were so helpful. Your customer service is appalling, how you havent been shut done Ill never know.

I have been a cosmetologist in the NWA area for over 13 years and there is a reason I choose Cosmoprof and the State Beauty Supply(different owners) in Bentonville over the Fayetteville State Beauty Supply. The owners are ridiculously rude, based on other reviews I can see I am not the only one who has had issues with this store as well. They lost my business years ago and I would never recommend this location to any cosmetologist.

If I could give no stars I would. I just moved to Arkansas and went in for information and a possibility of buying some stuff from state beauty supply. It was then that I was told that I couldnt shop there because I didnt have a state license for Arkansas. I told them prior to entering that I am a student waiting on boards. I provided all information that was asked believing I was going to set up an account to be denied. That is all okay but the way I was denied was in a derogatory manner and when I asked question on the area I was told to look it up in a harsh tone by what I am assuming is the manager. Then I was given fraudulent information about cosmoprof when I asked if Arkansas had one. The manager or so I assume to be, said they wouldnt let me buy anything without a license. She said to go to Sallys or Ulta. Our conversation ended at that and I went to seek cosmoprof for answers. I asked them if with my membership card as a student if they would serve me. They said yes and also stated if I was waiting for boards and need an extended student card I could get with with valid proof from an educator stating I will in fact be a licensing esthetician. My point is this is a service industry and there was no service provided for me at state beauty supply for answers. There was neglect for me as a human being. If there is any justice someone will shut this building down and inform all of the other mislead customers about not being able to get a state discount as a student.

I was so disappointed with my last visit I have always delt with the staff and they are pretty good to help. I delt with the owner this last time and she had to be the most rude, nasty and hateful person I have ever delt with in a business setting. I asked for help and she said in a hateful voice youre going to have to hold on, she finished putting up what she had in her hands on the shelf around the corner and then came back. After that anything that was asked she responded so hateful and with an attitude that I was taking up her time that she could be stoking or doing something else. The whole time I was in there I felt like I was being got onto. I was so disappointed in the way I was treated. This was the worst customer service I have ever had especially by an owner. So so disappointed in this place and the owner.
