Amazing experience!!!! This is the second time Ive ever had an eye exam and subsequently purchased a pair of glasses but this is my first time at Target Optical and I had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Dr. Chen was great and spent a lot of focused time with me answering questions. Nora was excellent - really fun and extremely helpful. She educated me on all sorts of things regarding wearing progressives for the first time. Excellent experience from start to finish!

My Dad and Mom got their glasses here, its kind of expensive to get prescription glasses, but if its quality frames and glasses, then I dont really mind. The store staff is very helpful too.

Second time coming in with no one else in the store on a tuesday early afternoon, this time to get a new pair of glasses for my upcoming wedding. worked with a very attentive, pleasant associate, who was helpful with finding some suitable new frames (including immediately recognizing and knowing the ones i was already wearing and that they still had them but only in gunmetal instead of black), and was pretty up-front about the costs covered by insurance, and differences between the brand-name lens and the target lenses. she also informed me that they have a policy where, within 90 days i can come in and upgrade my lenses to transitions and only pay the difference, as well as being able to use a gift card i forgot to bring with me (return/rebuy) when i pick up the new glasses. overall great, from start to finish!

The 2 ladies ( I was told their names are Lena and jamie -) in target optical 6100 Arlington Blvd, falls church, VA are very arrogant, rude, careless and not helpful at all.They only help specific customers.Very poor customer service.When I also came to pick up my eye glasses and they were dirty and full of spots, I asked for a cloth to clean it, one of the ladies said they dont have any cloth to clean it.They dont care about cleanness or hygiene.They should send them to specific classes to learn how to treat customers and how to treat them equally.What they deserve is zero stars.It looks like the managers also don’t care as I saw other reviews complaint and they also mentioned the careless, rude treatment of minorities and they are still with the same bad behavior.

Worst customer service for People of color. They sent me an email instead of texting that my eyeglasses were ready for pickup.. Never got the confirmation that my Eyewear purchase was ready. Waited one month for pickup.!!The clerk was very rude to me and didnt want to help me with my fitting . Kinda felt discriminate. Will be returning to Walmart eye center next year!!!!

Visited the store to look for glasses with my daughter. As soon as we walked in, the 2 employees there told us we needed a prescription in order to try on any glasses. I mentioned that was strange that we couldn’t try on any glasses without showing them a prescription. They said it was because of covid. We ended up leaving cause my daughter didn’t have her prescription with her. The 2 lady employees could have handled the situation better by explaining that it is the new Target policy and that they were sorry rather than making the “customer” feel like they did something wrong. I’ve been to Northern VA Optical recently and had no issues with trying on glasses without having a prescription. I left feeling that we were discriminated against cause we were minorities? Needless to say, we are not going back.

I have had my new glasses for several months now. I have to say, the employees at Target Optical are the absolute best. Without their assistance, I would not have picked out the glasses that I bought. They were outside my comfort zone. As it turned out, I receive so many compliments on the glasses - from co-workers, friends, and even strangers! So grateful for all the attention to making me look good!

Excellent service.I only needed to repair eyeglasses so I cannot speak to the prices or quality.I got help from Nora and she provided excellent customer service and fixed my glasses.There were a couple of people ahead but the wait wasn’t too long (less than 10 minutes).Note that not all Target stores have optical centers but this one does and it was a convenient location.Plenty of free parking.Accessible by public transportation such as buses. Not too far from the East Falls Church metro station.

Great Staff. We Love BOB! Goes out of his way to make my family feel welcome and special. We have 3 that need glasses and he always works with us to find the right kind for each of us and goes checks to see what is the best deal for us - insurance or the Target Sale price. We see Dr. Chen next door each fall, and then go right next door to get glasses.

I had a great experience with a quick and effective eye exam as well as an awesome lady who helped me decide between two pairs of glasses and helped me get the best price. (I cant remember her name but she worked at 1:30pm on 5/7) smaller selection but great prices on nice brands.

I ordered contacts through this Targets Optical center last year and they were great. They were an out of network provider but my experience with them was so positive that I called them up again when my supply ran out. Bob was the most pleasant and helpful person!! I am not familiar with dealing with insurance companies and my plan and Bob was SO helpful looking it up for me. He even called me back, twice, so that I wouldnt have to wait on the phone for 10 minutes while he looked. He was AMAZING! This is the best Target Optical I have ever gone to and I have lived in 3 different states and worked with several other Target Optical centers. These people are the best and will go above and beyond for you!!

Don’t come here for adjustments! Had the lady do adjustments but after the third time she walked away and seemed like she refused to give me any service. The adjustment itself was also not that great and I have seen better customer service at other optical locations. If you’re looking for somewhere to do particular eyeglass adjustments, you may want to consider elsewhere.

Radha is why I came and why Im recommending this store. I have an unusual fit (high nose bridge) and she was able to get me two excellent looking and fitting glasses. Goes the extra mile to help out, such as performing minor adjustment work on my old frames. Super satisfied and highly recommend!!

She has advised me on the best costly options and helped me with picking out new glasses. I will continue to visit this center for my optical needs!

My glasses broke twice and were expertly fixed in-house, within a day by Bob and Rada! Rada also adjusted my glasses and is always helpful. They saved me a weeks wait and $53! The frame selection also includes modern styles by Ray-Ban and Versace. Highly recommend!

Little flexibility with even sightly late arrivals. They were more interested in keeping their shop running on time than in being accommodating to a client.

Ignorant office, and they don’t take VSP—I made an appointment two weeks ago, which requires filling out an online form that includes your insurance info. Pretty standard. They called to confirm the day before the appointment. Pretty standard. However, when I arrived for my appointment I was told that they did not take my insurance. What?! I waited two weeks for this appointment—they had my insurance info the entire time, and didn’t have the common professional curtesy to let me know they didn’t accept VSP?! Instead, the receptionist said, “oh sorry, would you like to go to our office in Burke, VA? They take VSP there.” .... WHAT?! Do I want to drive 40 mins to go to your other office?? Ridiculous.

I love the entire staff at Optometrist (Dr.Chen & his secretary name??)and Optical depatment (Stephanie and Nora) were kind, warm, funny and personable.

Rada rocks! All of these reviews about her are 100% correct. Rarely do you see this level of service any more. She works to find you the best price, she is through in her follow-through, has a great recall of names and is super-friendly. Rada should get a big raise!

Radha (spelling?) at Target Optical is THE BEST! I have been a customer here for years. We are so happy to see she is still a fixture in the optical shop. Where do I start? Radha is cheerful, friendly, knowledgable and great with customers. I have seen cranky people who have left the shop with a smile. Additionally, she knows the way frames fit faces and accordingly, gives fantastic suggestions. I cannot say enough about her nor Dr. Ted Chen. His shop is just next door to Target Optical. Again, my family and I have frequented his establishment for years and really appreciate his candor. He gives thorough eye exams and, on more than one occasion, has gone over the allotted time for an appointment to answer all questions. Its apparent he wants you to be a satisfied customer and never at your expense but at the expense of his time. Contact fitting is thorough, i.e., hes willing to try different brands/types if something doesnt work for you. He truly looks out for the patient/consumer by giving options in order to help you care for your eyes in the most economical way. In a nutshell, they are the very best the DC area has to offer.(Side notes: Prior to frequenting Target Optical Arlington Blvd Falls Church, I have been to other opticians and shops in DC and in Falls Church and have not been impressed. Additionally, I am not a 12 year old, this is my sons account.)

It takes about 2 weeks to get the glasses from here. My old pair were broken, and thought this would be a nice quick fix. It wasnt until I was asked to pay that they briefly mentioned the 2 week timeframe. For me, that was a deal-breaker I wish was shared up front.
