I have been using the Dobbs in Shiloh, but due to scheduling conflicts I reached out to Fairview. The whole process was easy, staff were friendly, and my vehicle was turned around quickly. While no one enjoys the bill that comes with car ownership repairs, Dobbs is always informing you with as much notice so that you can avoid the surprises. Plus with advance notices you can always get a second opinion with no pressure between visits. I confidently take our cars to Dobbs knowing that they are providing honest diagnostics.

My car needed new brakes and rotors since before the pandemic. Due to circumstances, I wasnt able to get them fixed or drive my car due to the brakes. My car was sitting for a long time.The guys at Dobbs were very thorough and were sweet enough to clean my windshield inside and out so that I could drive home safely. They cautioned that the car may not run as smoothly for awhile because it sat but it ran great! Thanks!

I’ve been using this Dobbs for 10 years and really like the honest work they do. I usually double check their work to make sure the oil was changed, tires rotated, and brakes replaced. It’s great to have a shop that I can trust to do the work when I don’t have time to.

Initially took my van to Car X to have them look it over and perform a tune up. Tune up was going into 1k.They also said everything looked great. Opted to take to Dobbs. They not only did a tune up at less than a 1/3 of the cost, they also found some major issues with the brakes and tires that CarX didn’t find. Dobbs had friendly customer service, clear explanations, and they worked hard to accommodate some requests I made (I had some time constraints) Would happily take my vehicle there again. They are a little pricier than a local mechanic but they have done good work for our family. They even offered a pickup from home.

Everyone at Dobb’s were super friendly and professional. While I was checking in, three different employees entered the counter area and each of them greeted me. I called in the morning requesting an oil change and they fit me and even rotated the tires. They called me when they were finished and offered me another service at a discount. When I told them I thought we had that service done elsewhere recently, they looked at Carfax and found I was right. No pressure trying to sell me on extra, unnecessary services.

Came in for a last minute tire repair, Steve said it would be about 2 hours, had 3 cars ahead of me. Was about an hour and 45, which is very reasonable. Also, gave me a tread wear scan, which was informative. Great job for a last minute check in. Thanks guys

I think this is the third Dobbs location Ive reviewed. As usual this place never fails me. We thought we had a bad alternator when the car completely lost power and it just wound up being a small connection issue. I was completely expecting to pay up to $1,000 to have this fixed but I know I could trust on their honesty and thats why Dobbs is the only place I will take my car. We spent $1,300 last week on my wifes breaks and this was my daughters car getting fixed today. I will definitely be returning

I brought in some new wheels and tires for them to mount and balance. Unlike some tire shops, that get huffy and puffy about not buying tires through them, Dobbs in Fairview Heights treated me the same as if I had purchased through them. They mounted and balanced the wheels/tires in about 1.5 hrs and gave me a call to pick them up.Unfortunately, there was a tire(s) in the bunch that was causing a decent wobble between 55-65mph on the road. So, I took them back (this time on the truck) and they had no problem putting their best guy on the issue. Even the service Rep, Jason, saw to it to personally oversee the balancing of the tires. Jason even imparted some information about tire pressure sensors (TPMS) that I didnt know.Anyway, roughly one hour later and the tires were remounted and balanced. After a short test drive on the highway and the wobble is gone!So to sum it up, its my opinion that Dobbs (in Fairview Heights) will not stop until youre satisfied with their product/services. I usually use a different tire shop for my needs, but Dobbs just won me over. Anything to do with wheels/tires/brakes, Im going to Dobbs.

Very prompt and polite service replacing a damaged tire that I had purchased at the Green Mount location ~4 months previously (as per covered by road hazard warranty).The Fairview location is much better than Green Mount, which is always super busy and isn’t much different than going to most dealerships where the priority is getting customers in and out as quickly as possible while maximizing profits. My experience there was that the staff had little concern about an owner’s comments or recommendations. They also performed an alignment after I stated I didn’t want to do one at that time. Thankfully, they removed that charge, but clearly have little concern for customer satisfaction.Oh and whoever changed my tire over-torqued the lug nuts by quite a bit.Stay away from the Green Mount location. Fairview Heights is much more pleasant and competent.

I visited Dobb’s this week due to my tire leaking air. They were extremely courteous, were able to assess my car the same day, and made the repair quickly. They did not try to guilt me into buying a new tire when all I needed was a patch. The cost of the repair was fair, and the same as the quote. I was very impressed with the Dobb’s team from beginning to end, and will definitely return to the Fairview Heights location.

My daughter noticed her tire was low. She went to Dobbs in St Louis and they aired it up. Within 4 hours it had lost 10 PSI. I called Dobbs of Fairview Heights and they got me in immediately. Closing time was 6 - they took me at 5:30. It’s all repaired. Thanks so much to Chris and his team. I will come back here for all my repairs!

I’ve been going to Dobbs nearly 30 years and I have no plans on switching. They are always courteous respectful professional and right on point when there’s a problem.Did I mention how clean the places you could eat off the floor but not recommended.

I walked into the Fairview Heights location knowing that I did not have an appointment for an oil change and they were able to squeeze me in between appointments within a couple of hours. Everyone in the place is super friendly and helpful as well so I couldn’t have asked for anymore out of the experience!

Dobbs in Fairview Heights are great people and never pressure you into doing anything extra. Their fixed forever brakes is unbelievable! I took my SUV to the Lexus dealership for some work and they told me my back brakes needed replacement. When I told the dealership I would go to Dobbs since they have their forever program and would replace them for free they couldnt believe it and actually laughed and said there must be some hidden fee. My second set of brake pads and rotors were really free and I only had to pay a $20 shop fee. Love Dobbs.

I came here to get some new tires put on my car. The guy at the front desk, Roger, was very helpful in explaining what the charges would be so I wasnt blindsided by extras. When something needed to added, they explained why and how much. I appreciate the time these guys took to make me feel better about spending so much.

We went to get tires, and left with a whole lot more added. Didnt want to play with safety, as most of what they did was in that realm. Expected to pay $700-800 for tires, and actually paid more than double our original quote. To top it off, my car didnt start the next day....something fishy at the Fairview Heights branch. DONT GO TO FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS BRANCH!!!! Hopefully someone in company can make it right, cause we are without transportation after spending more than twice we were quoted. What a joke

Showed up unannounced with a nail on my tire. They were able to pitch the tire and get me in and out under 45 minutes and still able to make it to work on time. 10/10 would recommend

I’ve trusted Dobbs with all my cars bcuz their technicians are highly trained, efficient, and their work is reliable. The front-staff are also very knowledgable and are great with questions and explanations. And I save money at Dobbs. For example, last year I decided last minute in November on a road trip from St Louis to Santa Fe. I was concerned about the age of my tires and had them checked. Any tire place could have done a quick sale with that kind of bait !! And I’d have bought new tires if they advised it. But Dobbs’ tech was very thorough in his check and assured me they were fine for the trip and well beyond that. And the tires ( that Originally came from Dobbs much earlier ) are still in great shape. Just this week I had another car checked for a problem — the invoice was lower than the estimate bcuz the problem was a quick-solve. That’s why I trust Dobbs and recommend them to friends. I think I should bring them cookies next time I need annoul change . 🙃

I am SOOOO grateful that Chris at the Dobbs in Fairview Heights answered the phone for my car crisis! This kind man took what was a mountain to me and made it a mole hill. God answered my prayers by sending someone to help me and not rip me off by charging an arm and a leg. I was charged an extreme amount for my car trouble which was simply my trunk not closing at another auto shop, but Chris quoted me the best price of all the different places I had looked! And he helped prevent my battery from going dead by turning off the trunk light which took 2 min or less! This simple task that a Toyota dealership wouldve charged $150.00 to do, he did it with a good attitude and helpfulness, because he didnt have to do anything!. He prevented car trouble from adding on to me financially, and I am soon grateful! Nobody but God arranged a meeting like this, and I am so grateful for GOOD MECHANICS like Chris! I paid for 4 tires at another establishment; however, the other company struggled to get the lug nut off. Although I was frustrated and overwhelmed by this ordeal, I contact the WONDERFUL service men of Dobbs and they assisted me with care. They were able to get the swollen lug nut off with no problem. Thank you so much. They also had coloring books with crayola crayons for my child to coloring while waiting to be seen (which was AWESOME!!!!). Thanks again!

Pulled up to Dobbs about an hour before closing with smoke coming from the hood of the car. Although they couldnt fix it that night, David asked Jason, who is the new manager, and a tech to take a look and make sure it was safe to drive. Jason was able to identify the problem right away and put me at ease. Since I trusted Jasons diagnosis, I was confident about bringing my car back the next morning for the repairs. I also felt like Jason gave me a fair price and didnt take advantage of my despair. Last, but not least, I want to thank David for his kindness. They have definitely earned my business.

Very grateful to the good people at Dobbs, Fairview Heights, IL. I was told by the service center at my Subaru dealer that I would need all four of my brakes replaced soon, the back brakes being much worse than the front.I took my car to another repair shop in town and they agreed all brakes needed replacing. However, because of the estimate they gave, I decided to do only the back first. After this costly repair, they told me I would need my front brakes within a few months. I decided to take the car to Dobbs for this repair. Imagine my surprise when these good people told me that I did NOT need my front brakes changed and that they were in fine shape. As a woman that knows nothing about cars, I was grateful to Fairview Height Dobbs for being honest and trustworthy!!

Jason, the manager, along with the technicians who worked on the vehicles, ensured that I was comfortable while waiting, consulted with and briefed on each service provided, and completed the required work in a timely manner. To say that I trust this location and the wonderful people employed there is an understatement. I commend Dobbs for employing such professional and customer-oriented staff, and will continue to utilize this service center for all the needs of my family and friends.
