Prices have gotten way better than years ago. The level of freshness has too. The store manager is very nice. He is always pleasant and always friendly and helpful. The newer reduced section / clearance aisle is fantastic! So many good deals ! Not just little .50 cents off here or there, most items are half of their original price or more ! A lot of items I wouldnt have tried because I didnt want to pay so much, to find out I didnt like it . Being able to try it at a fraction of the price is so nice. The hot bar has always been well priced and chicken is quite good, and the hash brown casserole is dynamite! A lot of the workers have been there as long as I have been a customer about 22 years now! I would say my only negative comment is there is 1 worker who is always very nice to me but is very negative and speaks negatively not only about other employees but about customers as well. That being said ..... After 22 years, Theresa, Ralph, Kim and Dion are stellar employees. As I said main manager is great as well. The one young girl who works nights is very nice and their is a lady with brown hair and a lady with long blond hair both great too! Lastly there is a gentleman working there with longer blond hair always wearing a bandana he is great! All and all I will always be back!

Love the people that work there been going in there since I was a kid

They have never helped me load my groceries because i walk and push my smaller cart they have nnever offered nothing food is so expensive. Just a few days ago i forgor my cell asked a woman at office window to call a cab for me she didnt want to be bothered period i am 71 yrs old no respect there for the ELDERLY SAD ISNT IT???

The staff are always friendly and helpful. The same staff each time I go there which says a lot about a work place. Not a big turn over on employees. The prices are misleading by saying there prices are low, because once you get to the check out youll find that there is 10% added on they say the 10% is for the register( Really) . The only way I had found this out was I had went in to buy a chicken and only had just enough for the price that was on the product and when I went to pay at the register the price was 45 cents more than what I had. I asked the clerk since when is there tax on food and I was told 10% goes to the register. Most people dont look at their receipts that close to even notice the difference unless its a big discrepancy. Very misleading.

Cost + 10% so the price is never as good as it looks. But there pretty good bargains here in produce, meat & chips. Charcoal briquettes are cheap here, too. No annoying coin requirement for shopping carts. Large clearance table.

They have some of the best meat prices in town. If you love steaks or brisket you need to go there.

Very expensive for being in a low income neighborhood. Then they add 10% as if selling the stuff at cost. Cashiers are usually quiet but kind.

They have AWESOME cheesecake and banana pudding in the deli section. The deli is reasonably priced...most of the grocery stuff is kind of expensive compared to other larger stores, but it is a quick and convenient place to grab a few things real fast.

Great prices and selection. I love wrapping up my grocery shopping here as they have all the odds and ends. Plus a great deal on meat.

I enjoy stopping in this store.It always takes me back to the mom and pop grocery stores my family shopped at when I was a kid.The prices are a bit higher than the mega-corporate grocery stores that dominate the market nowadays, but Im willing to pay a little more just to avoid having to deal with those places (and help support a local business). You can also find some local brand products here that you wont find at the big chain stores.

This little grocery store is awesome. Its clean & organized, and has a little candy corner where you can buy individual suckers. It is like stepping back in time, to the eighties, in a good way. You can get grippos and double cola here (items that travelers need to try).

Pretty sure itd be suspicious if I gave the place I work at 5 stars.

If I could I would get it negative five stars, I was there earlier and they publicly shamed an elderly customer because she forgot her card. The cashier yelled across the store for a transaction suspension and the MANAGER hollered back, what not enough money? I have been there a few times and they are always insanely rude and condescending.

Ive always like Wesselmans. Clean and well-maintained. They do tend to overprice an item or two, but they have to compete with Mom-and-Pop-devouring corporate juggernauts like Walmart. So an extra 25 cents here and there seems worth it to contribute to the desperate maintenance of the delicate infrastructure of the small business world, doesnt it, you selfish consumer of gluttonous convenience? Gosh. I can hardly believe you can even look in the mirror, you sack of garbage.

It was fine I guess. I was not happy with the way they added 10 % at the register when you check out. Because the items that they added the 10% to were not outlet priced.

You can get a meat pick 5 for 17.50 but they add 10% at the register..which is actually a little cheaper..but sounds like some kind of trick to me other wise why dont they just price it so things are simple...if its 19.50 price it 19.50 instead of 17.50 plus 10%at checkout....not my kind of thing..

Wesslemans Supermarket is the quintessential neighborhood grocery store. Of course their staff are always friendly and helpful. The grocery prices, on average runs about 5 to 10 percent higher than the supercenter supermarkets.
