Very good fast service and helpful staff

Came in as a walk-in for a serious problem on my car. Didnt know what to expect, as it was my first time having work done in Evanston. They fit me in within 30 minutes and gave me a couple options for the repairs. The quote I received was much below expected, and I received exemplary customer service, particularly from David. This is definitely now my go-to spot for car repair, Im so glad I stopped in!

The staff was nice but the owner started yelling at me when I asked for a discount! He really got angry and I was afraid that he was going to tell his team to break something in my car. Never went there again.

I give this establishment a three star rating, instead of a five solely because I feel customer service could use a little improvement from the leadership staff. I was very discouraged about receiving news more things needed to be repaired on my vehicle, which equates to more money I have to unexpectedly spend, who wouldn’t be. More empathy and composure could’ve be shown during my experience. Overall, it’s was pleasurable. We ended it on a constructive and positive understanding. Also, The front desk worker, Jeremy, he’s is a great person, very polite and professional. He even retrieved an item out of my car while they were working on it back and forth three times because I forgot where I placed it. I appreciated his patience, great Poise!

BUYERS BEWARE. THEYRE TRICKING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY!!!!!!I went in to get a oil change and they told me front and back tail lights were not working. They said the front was blinking fast and the back wasnt blinking at all. It was 2 guys showing me my lights and the one that was sitting im the car while showing me my lights was playing with lights to trick me into buying new ones. People be observant theyre not getting business as usual amd tricking people to buy service u dont need. I didnt get the service done i drove off and pulled over to check my lights and both lights were working properly. Please people dont go to them!!!!!

My wife and I have been here on and off for the past 4 years and have always had a great experience. The management is excellent and efficient...definitely the best part of my experience and the reason I keep going back. Prices are sometimes a little higher than I expect, but still seem reasonable. I have always felt that they are only repairing what is necessary, and they have always been happy to lay out the options for us. My wife goes here a lot by herself and they have always treated her with respect. Their repair jobs are always solid and we have never had reoccurring problems.

I decided to come for the first time ever for my car service. The owner was a nice and honest person, and the service was very fast at a fair price. Will be a regular customer!

Great experience with them! It took them a few tries, but they finally were able to repair some wiring in my vehicle, and each time I brought it back they fixed it for free (after the first time that is). They call me when things are done and they wont fix any extra things unless they have my permission. Theyll drive me to anywhere I need when they have my car too. Theyre a tad more expensive than some auto shops that Ive been to, but I think theyre great. Barba Basilio (the manager/front guy) has been awesome to us, so heres a shout-out to him.

I called for a warranty claim on my brakes. After I explained to the guy why I was calling, the guy put me on hold and never came back.

Our college daughter lives in the area and needed tires. My husband called ahead and made an appointment, priced out tires and left his phone number in the event of questions they may have(knowing our daughter wouldn’t know much about tires 😁)When she arrived they asked HER what tires she wanted (instead of confirming with dad) and proceeded to charge her $450 for TWO TIRES!She had already been sitting there for almost two hours when we called to question the cost.They would not work with us on price, knowing she was sitting there waiting, and were borderline rude. They took FULL advantage of her and her lack of knowledge. Instead of working with us to find a solution, they chose to let us walk.We called another area tire place and their customer service was outstanding and the cost was almost half for the same tires.A complete and total rip off. Dishonest at best. Try somewhere else.

The guys there I know well and have seen me through a cpl of cars. They are always super courteous and accommodating. The shop is clean and waiting area is comfortable. The upsell on addl services is annoying but I know its part of the job. Mechanics make everything seem so dire. Its like the boy who cried wolf, it makes it harder to believe when there is a legitimate imminent problem. There are other places I cld go to but the customer service there always brings me back.

Put the worst breaks on my car, they fell apart as soon as I pulled out of their driveway. They wont give money back only offer to replace with the same junky parts. These are 5 days old.

Very good folks in an always stressful situation. I went in, with no appointment, with a blown exhaust on a Saturday, and they still got me turned around. The guys were very careful to show me what theyd found and explained what they were going to have to do. And they came in under their estimate for both dollars and time.I also (due to the time waiting for parts and the fact that I had nowhere to go) got to witness quite a lot of customer interaction on the part of the staff. They were unfailingly courteous and went out of their way to be clear and complete in their explanations even in situations where they were obviously not going to get any work out of it. I was impressed.And they definitely do more than just mufflers, so give them a shot if you are in the market for car work.

Great place and reasonable. They didnt try to upsell or scam me like some other shops I went to first. They were able to do the repair for 1/4 the price of another place. The manager Edgar is friendly too and will help right away.

This is the second time I came here. The first time Duxler in Wilmette said I needed a new exhaust system for $1569.00. I decided to stop into Midas and much to my surprise they told me I needed a gasket for 100.00. They showed me where the problem was and showed me the work after. I went back to Duxler to ask them to explain why they said I needed a new exhaust for $1569 and they could not explain the reason and apologized. I then went back today because I had a slow leak in my tire and problem with starting my car thinking it was my battery. It was the battery....they repaired my tire...replaced my battery and I was on my way. They did not try to sell me any other services that were unecessary. They were professional and reasonably priced for the service provided.
