The store has a great array of brands of make up products and perfumes, all well organized and easy to find.The staff is wonderful agreeable and looking forward to satisfying their clients.Thank you katie for going beyond duty to find my perfume!

A woman asked to look into my bag, i believe it was racial profiling. I am brownI was asking about perfume and had two people helping and i asked about if they had any sweet perfumes and the nice worker left to get a coworker who knew more about perfume to help me while she was gone i was looking at perfume and a guard came up to me and said my bag looked nice then came back a moment later and asked to look in my bag. Absolutely rude 😒

Tried again with this place. I love there makeup and products but their salon is cheap purely cheap. The hair extensions tape doesn’t last for more than a week. The manager also tried to fix this issue by adjusting my hair extensions since the last hairstylist did it incorrectly and was causing me pain on my scalp. Anyways if you’re looking for makeup/beauty products yes I’d definitely recommend otherwise for any salon hair work done definitely DONT RECOMMEND:) also they have terrible customer service on the phone!

Im a guy so bare with me. My wife got a recommendation from our daughter for a popular product sold at Ultra. I begged her to allow me to remain in the car. No soap! Had to accompany her Inside. Glad Idid. The Ultra store is like eye candy. Its got every imaginable personal hygiene and beauty product available to both men and women on the market. Its much more of a female experience yes but as a casual observer and to see my wife happy it was worth the trip and I do believe the store sells high quality at a reasonable price so you guys out there check out the store.

Decent selection of items but didn’t have the new Millie cosmetics. Teri was very helpful the entire time though.

Had my hair highlighted in December and about a week later my hair was so dry I could not get a brush through it. I have great haircare products but had to cut my hair off to about 4 inches in length. Thought it was just my hair until I met a lady in the store with exact same results. Contacted customer service and had a reply that they would get back to me. That did not happen. Cut and color was about $150. Never had a problem with other Ulta stores, but would be very cautious with a color at this one.

This is my favorite Ulta beauty. Everyone is super helpful and my online pick ups are ready that day. Rey helped me last time and he is very knowledgeable and helpful. We laughed and shopped, and I will definitely be back.

This store racially profiled me. There is an old white woman who follows people of color around and makes derogatory comments while they try to shop.

Rude workers there don’t go there they won’t help you there was a covid infected person in there coughing litterally her lungs out and they didn’t care enough to kick her out the manager did not care of my concern they never have the product in stock never again

My mom and my aunt came to this Ulta today to buy some hair dye. As they were making their way around the store they were followed by two security guards. In the fragrance section one stood in front of them and the other stood behind them with his arms crossed. My mom and aunt felt super uncomfortable so they decided to just pay and leave. Being that Escondido is predominately Latino, I hope the security guards realize that even Spanish speaking and darker skin, middled aged women should also be given the respect to enter a store and not be racially profiled. Get it to together Ulta.

I went in today to get a Mac lipstick and well I’m still learning my way around makeup. The staff is SUPER FRIENDLY and I just love it every time I go there because they’re always so helpful and welcoming. I forgot to get her name but the lipstick color she recommended I absolutely loved and just overall this is the best place to go!

I was helped by the most kindest and amazing staff here at this ulta, and I especially want to give a shout out to Katie who helped me with my complicated order at the register! She is wonderful!

I like the store and Ulta in general, but in the salon, I have yet to get a haircut that isnt uneven or what I want. Also, when Ive wanted a partial, twice I have had a beautician say, when shes ready, that she forgot she was just doing a partial and formulated for a full, did I want to get a full instead. It feels like a ruse. The second time it happened, I said no, and it was very uncomfortable from then on with the rest of the appointment. Also, it has not been uncommon to be switched to a different beautician, for a number of reasons.

Been here 3 times now and had a great experience every time. First time my daughter was going to a dance and needed a lipstick that would look stay in place all night. She received one on one help picking out the color and was even given a lesson on applying it because she doesnt usually wear makeup for no extra charge.We went back for walk in hair cuts and received wonderful haircuts by Kelly. We walked out looking great. What especially impressed me was a couple days later when I washed my hair and had to let it air dry. My hair usually air dries with it straight on top and wavy underneath. Once it is dry I hide it in a bun or ponytail. First time ever my hair dried wavy all over. I think it was something about the way Kelly layered it. I received compliments all day. First time that has ever happened in my life with air dried hair!

Just bought The Ordinary caffeine solution not even 10 minutes ago. I get in the car and open it and notice it has mold in it...yes MOLD. I go back and I am told it can be exchanged but I have to stand in line all over again. All I wanted was it to be exchanged for one with no mold. Is that so hard? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Here I am like a dummy standing in line all over again for their mistake.

Staff is always super helpful and friendly. Not as big as some of the other stores, but the employees make up for it.

Jolene is the girl to go to for cut, color, & highlights! Shes made my hair look soooo good! Jolene is super personable, professional, and talented! She made be feel confident and put together. Its been a couple weeks now and my hair is still perfection! I love how she perfectly toned the highlights to blend beautifully with the color. Ive gotten so many compliments and will definitely be going back to her again!

Went in to look at flat irons and hair products, was left walking around trying to find someone. When we found people they were just talking and practically ignoring us. We were even up by the registers at one point and not one single associate asked if we were doing ok or needed help. Now, I would have asked for help if they stopped for a second to notice we were there. I usually never have an issue in here but tonight was pretty disappointing.

Always clean, they have everything I need in stock, and I like their frequent promotions. Their staff is usually very friendly and helpful as well. Wishing Ulta starts carrying Marc Jacobs in the future!

When my makeup case was stolen the make up artist hooked me up with a bunch of samples from their own cases. This act of charity was so overwhelmingly moving it brought me to tears. I will forever make ulta my 1st and only (if possible) stop for all makeup and haircare needs.

Im a huge Ulta fan, but the San Marcos one is super out of my way since I come from San Diego for work. Absolutely love this location and you can tell they trained their staff very well! I was offered help multiple times and they were all very nice, even though I came in very close to closing time. This location seemed incredibly clean and organized. Also, seemed like they carried more than San Marcos, but that could just be my imagination!

Unfortunately did not have my shade again :(

I dont have a problem with this store but DO NOT GET YOUR BROWS DONE BY HEATHER THE ESTHETICIAN. She hardly listened to what I wanted and now Im left with disheveled brows. I brought a picture of when I really liked by brows and when I saw she wasnt really doing what I wanted, I offered to bring up the picture again and she declined. She did not wax above my brow at all and doesnt know how to trim.

Service was poor, asked an employee where a certain nail polish was and she stated they didn’t carry it but when looking it up online it said it was available for pick up at that store. She then proceeded to point to where the nail polish was located and told me I could look for it if I wanted to. My daughters and I have been to this store several times and each time we’ve had bad experiences. Employees don’t approach you and ask if you need assistance and respond with nasty attitudes when you ask them for something. Clearly not there to provide customer service. We will be going to Sephora from now on.

Just walked out of the store after putting all my products back because of how pushy the staff is. It’s clear that the staff is trying to work on their customer service skills but the assertiveness is too much. Coming to this location is worse than going to a car dealership. Can’t find products in peace without someone following you around.

I love Ulta, but unfortunately this location has horrible customer service. they do greet you when you first come in but after that they are just not very helpful or nice at all. Im sorry to say I usually go here for products but I wish I had a better location close by. Employees here are just the rudest. If I can get the same products somewhere else I usually do. terrible!

The atmosphere feels very cold not inviting at all. Only reason why I went into this location was because the San Marcos location (which I love) was out of the shampoo and conditioner that I wanted. Employees are not engaging at all. Next time Ill just order online.

I went in to the salon to go lighter blonde. The hairstylist took 3 hours to process my hair. When she was finally drying it, we saw that the toner left my hair brassy. She tried another toner and it left the color the same. After getting advice from another stylist, she tried another toner. This time, my hair turned an ashy brown. At this point, I was 4 hours into my appointment. With no other choice, I had to have my hair washed 5 times with a cleansing shampoo and a chlorine wash just to get some of the toner off. After 4.5 hours, I was left a shade darker, and my hair was very damaged. To say I was upset is an understatement. The salon still charged me and after 5 days of talking to them I have yet to get refunded.

Ulta used to be my go-to place for makeup. Theyve been slipping over the past few years. Every time I go to their store at least half of the items Im looking for are not in stock and I dont want to wait for them to ship them to me so I have to go somewhere else. I find myself just skipping Ulta and going somewhere else to avoid the hassle . The staff is very nice though.

Super excited one opened closer to me...walk in today to find out they have absolutely no Lancôme... they replaced it with MAC. Guess I will have to keep driving to the far one 🙄 I did appreciate the big signs for different brands so everything was easy to find except for the entire brand they left out.

First time I have been in a Ulta Beauty, neat store they have everything from make up to a beauty shop make up artist, hair products, perfume always helpful employees.

Manager of the hair salon there is like totally amazing. So...

Ulta is famous for misrepresenting its sale items. The sale sign is attached to specific shelves; however, they are not the items on sale. A smaller version is actually the sale item. When questioned, I was told that was Ulta’s sale strategy. Very poor salesmanship!

Im only reviewing the store not the salon. Love the salon....the store on the other hand wants nothing to do with a person who isnt wearing an ulta name tag. I walked around the store for a good 20 min and NOT ONCE was I said welcome or Hello and definitely was not offered any help. I dont do makeup well so I could have used some help or been welcomed but instead I just got looked at and literally walked passed. So now that I am writing this I will be returning everything I bought and buying somewhere else even if it means paying more. Respecting customers is a must and that did not happen. Not asking for much just a Hi even if walking from one counter to another, and especially to their benefit counter where one associate was passing by said hi to the associate leaning on the counter then passed me with a look up and down and kept walking as I broke a smile and mild wave and she still said nothing.

The customer service is horrible! The lady who took my payment, Bianca, is rude. All she asked if I wanted to sign up for their card. She didnt even say thank you. Horrible service every time I go in.

Its ulta. Thats about it. They definitely greet you when you come in but thats where the helpfulness and politeness ends. Pretty much what I expect from ulta though. And for a new store they seem to be always out of everything.

If you ever wonder whether you should go to Sephora or Ulta, choose Ulta. They have larger stock and if something isnt in stock, theyll deliver to your home free of charge.Their rewards system is great too. If you have a free account with them, you earn points per dollar spent and you can use those points to take cash off another purchase. Far superior to Sephoras choose from these little samples we were going to throw out rewards system.Their store is much cleaner and staff arent focused on hounding you to buy stuff like they are in a Sephora. Theyre just fellow beauty lovers who will happily give their honest opinion if you ask.Not to mention the fact that Ulta often has sales and sends magazines almost monthly with new products and a coupon.

Very poor service. I walked in looking for items for my fiancee and was ignored, likely because Im a guy and every other customer was a woman. They really shouldnt ignore customers just because they happen to be men.

These are always the same. Most workers are snobby and rude. There are some good brands. A lot of products are definitely more expensive than drug stores but cheaper than stores like Sephora. I went for Christmas gifts. The store was packed but there were some workers just chit chatting with each other. Usually I’m not greeted and sometimes I’ve been followed around and not helped at all. I was trying to find perfume. When I tried to ask a girl there I was ignored, no surprise there. I got one girls attention for a second. She pointed to my left then walked away before I could ask anything else. I found the cologne I needed so I was happy about that. I got a perfume set also. I wanted skin products for my aunt. I asked a worker where I could find that. I told her I needed something for wrinkles or dry skin. She yelled for the “skin expert” to come help me because she worked on hair. That was fine but the other girl walked off. She pointed to the face creams. The products were clearly not for me. My skin is clear and I don’t have wrinkles (I’m in my twenties) but my undereye circles were visible from migraines and lack of sleep. She walked me to an undereye product that she uses religiously. That was nice but I specified anti aging products for my aunt. She raved about the cream but she mentioned that her under eye circles were “so bad people thought I was Indian” I ended up getting a different product. At the register the cashier was polite and helped me get a deal. There was a free blanket or robe with some purchases. By doing separate transactions I could get both. Honestly the blanket and the robe are my favorite gift which I gave to myself. I rarely go to that location specifically. It’s never a good experience. Sometimes the workers are so terrible I just want to leave without buying anything.

Wonderful sales person at MAC kiosk.

It took 45 minutes to finally refund me for a hair color treatment of $130, a treatment acquired on 7th of February, with pictures on hand as proof of the poor job performed. Brittney, salon manager assisted me in the process, steps taken to refund turn out redundant, unproductive, contradicting, insulting and with poor work ethic. A manager should strive to accommodate their guests in every step of the way. By no means, fail to offer a refund because a previous refund was honored prior to this incident, which turn out as difficult as this incident. To be addressed in the following manner is unacceptable, “if we are giving you bad service why do you still come back”. My experience has been with two stylists, so I decided to give Ulta a second chance but it failed again to meet my expectations of having rich Black hair without any browns or red strands standing out. Brittney insisted she was unauthorized to issue a refund, provided Jamie Sincavage, general manager card info with no direct contact to a voicemal but rather it was Ulta’s Escondido identical contact information, this shows a huge conflict of interest, a route I found to be deceiving. Lastly, supervision is recommended at the haircolor treatment section, as my stylish and a second employee were constantly mocking a person with a deep voice getting their hair blonde, questioning “what is that, grossed” whether it was a male or female, this environment should not discriminate based on gender or sexual orientation.

Always a good experience

I went in for a spiral perm, I was told by several Salonist that Nataly was the perm specialist . She showed me pics of perms, I selected a perm that was very curly, after 4 hours I left there with “wavy” perm in the front and some curls in the back. Nataly did not have time in her schedule to redo it and then 2 weeks later she was no longer working there. They have very little experience, they don’t care about customer satisfaction.

If I could give then 0 stars I would - the service was that terrible. I was there for the brow bar and was told to come back 30 minutes later. 30 minutes later came, I returned, excited to get my brows done and I still waited 10+ minutes for the brow lady at which point I ended up leaving. The manager had very poor communication skills and was clearly saying things just to please me, but it was actually not pleasing to hear excuse after excuse. It was bad. Really bad.

5 for location. But 3 for staff. Not to many smiles inside. Leaving smiles that come in to spend money in location, turning into flat lines. Always has products in stock. Even J-Star items. (Nit the stolen ones of course lol)
