It feels like an old mom and pop store. The employees are friendly, kind, helpful. I dont ever feel like Im a bother when I need help. You dont ever have to look around for someone to help you like alot of times at the big stores like home depot or lowes. Only downfall is I wish they changed there hours. They close early during the week. So if you need anything make sure you go before work because it will be closed after. Masks are required.

I went into ace Duchini hardware (which I have you occasionally for years). I walked to the back counter and forgot my mask, the employee told me in a real abrupt voice (nasty and raised her voice, if another customer was around would of created a scene), you need to leave, you are not allowed to be in here without a mask. normally I would not say a word, I would normally just go out and get my mask, however because of her attitude I explained to her about my disability and she told me she didnt care there is a sign out front and we do not have to serve you. I have a disability that can have severe consequences if my oxygen level drops too low.(which the masks will cause).I never have brought up this because I am never in a spot for too long and I dont want to be the person that takes advantage of a situation or gets in a confrontation.I left and got my mask and went back in with the mask on and asked for the manager, to my surprise, the rude lady was the manager. I explained to her the Americans with disabilities act and she could be sued, she told me I could do curb side pick up. (sometime you need to walk down the isles to possibly remind you of what you need) she then told me she was not nasty with me and apologized if she thought I was. the temper and attitude changed immediately and it was like another person I was speaking to. I explained to her I will never be back and I will I will let every contractor know my experience. I walked out and went to home depot. (I try to support my local business and did not have time to run around, I will continue to go to Ferrier hardware which is way out of my way, but well worth it for the excellent service.

I had to get a window screen repaired and called several places in Erie until I found A Duchini. The gentleman I talked to on the phone was very helpful and turn around time was super quick! It is a very nice store and the staff is friendly and quick to lend a hand. After 4 years, it’s nice to have a screen in the window again. Gotta enjoy Erie’s breezes while you’re able!

Horrible customer service. Waited at the service desk while woman was playing with papers. Never acknowledged me or said anything. Another man walked in a came behind me. She gets off her stool and walks away from behind the counter where the other guy behind me proceeds to ask her a question. She helps him, and never returned even though I was standing there the whole time 1st. Dont waste your time. I left and went to real hardware store. Thanks again for the great service ACE, top notch.
