Initial contact. Gene came out in the rain to do my accident estimate. Very thorough. Got it promptly scheduled. Got info to insurance company promptly.My vehicle is summit white. White is one of hardest to repaint. It matched perfectly. Work was well done and a bit ahead of schedule. Theyeven cleaned it! Just fyi--they didnt Re-adjust seats or leave radio on, etc. A pet peeve. Highly recommend.

Honestly pretty surprised by the reviews Im seeing, insurance by the at fault party suggested these guys on Friday my car was in on Monday for the estimate, was scheduled to be completed the following Tuesday. Friday morning I got a call saying the car was ready, it looks brand new.The inside of my car is a disaster as I am in it a great amount of time, they clean your car at the end of service, and They were sensitive about the items and areas of my car that had paperwork or change. My vehicle was finished early, and in great shape and much cleaner then when it went in. I have no complaints. Ive unfortunately been in many accidents over a short period and have used the at fault insurance parties recommended collision shops in Erie all 3 were great this one included.

I was recently in a car accident and my insurance company goes through Rick weaver for repairs, never my first choice, seeing as I drive a Mazda, but to make it easier on myself and the insurance company, I took brought it here. Never again will I do this. Communication was great, up until they told me my car was done, and fixed, when in fact, it was not. My Mazda has a radar system in the front, for lane assistance and things of that nature. When I got my car back, my dashboard showed there were MULTIPLE malfunction. I called Mazda right away. I picked up my car last week. Fast forward to today, Mazda was working on my car trying to get things recalibrated and in working order for me, but they found that the radar system was completely broken, to the point they couldn’t even recalibrate it, and have to overnight another to the shop. The fact that nothing was said to me by Rick weaver is absolutely unprofessional, and honestly wrong. I understand it’s a radar system, but I have a toddler that is in my car 80% of the time. If they didn’t fix something small, and didn’t even bother to tell me that it wasn’t fixed, how can I trust that they would communicate if something bigger was wrong. I will never recommend this. When I told the progressive agent, she was upset to hear that nothing was even said to me. Now I will have to go yet another week without a vehicle cause it was not fixed right the first time.

I took my truck here bc it was referred by my insurance company. Long story short they had my truck for over a month due to they said they could not get parts. I had to get my own parts they said was back ordered. I had them in 2 days from the dealership. When I got my truck back I found that I had grinding dust stuck in my clear coat and it started to rust all down the right side of my truck. It’s a Aluminum f150 so I know it was not from my truck. They did not replace my License plate bracket on my front bumper and the rear tailgate came apart from them not putting the screws back in it tryed to call and get it taken care of but I was just waisted my time. They are not professional and are rude. Would not trust people to paint a bicycle!!!

Id give zero stars if I could. I was sent there by my insurance company. After a week they called me and said my car was DONE so I paid my 500 deductible. My wife goes to get the keys and my car is missing a part. The lady tells my wife that they will call us and tell us when the part is and ill have to come back. Then why did they tell me it was done and why do I have to pay 500 dollars if the job isnt complete???? After fighting with my insurance I kept my rental and they kept my car until it was ACTUALLY DONE. The paint also didnt match and they left my car on a slit hill and its stick with no E brake on, just unreal. Stay away trust me!

Daughter took her car in for an estimate for damage done by another driver and they told her they would get back to her... jump a few days later and they already repaired her vehicle without giving her the estimate or asking her permission. Definitely do no recommend this place.

Incredibly nice staff. Im kind of surprised that their rating is so low. They got my car in and had everything fixed quickly. They were easy to communicate with and they made my car look like brand new.

They did not call me back and “assumed” it was okay to go ahead and fix my car, very upsetting and the manager said I was wasting her time. But they did do a good job all in all.

Very expensive, what they said would take 4 days took 12, as previous reviewers have stated there is a lot of hand holding and calling to check up on them that they are actually working on the vehicle, they have a new excuse for the delay every time you call, work seems to be sufficient so far. I think they are taking advantage of being the only certified GMC/Buick service in the area...

Anybody else but this body shop, it took them five weeks to fix my car and finally when I got my car back, the leather seats where dirty of working dust and smelled very bad, had to do detailing right away. I would give them ZERO stars if it was possible!!!

Long review short: DO NOT come here unless you want to hand-hold these folks through every little step.(from estimate to actual scheduling to rental cars...)The shop drops details and they will probably waste your time in one form or another, and more so than other body shops would. I give two stars because they seemed friendly enough at first, but unfortunately with car work the devil is in the details and it’s easy to tell this isn’t a point of strength for these people. Unfortunate, as they are the only GMC dealership in Erie.

Miscommunication all over the place. Gave an extra star because the sales manager did the best he could to make a bad situation better but I dealt with rude people and heard a lot of excuses as to why my car finish date got pushed back 3 times. These guys need to get there stuff together and learn some customer service.

Matched color well on a small scrape repaint but you can absolutely see where they ended their paint. Not blended well and a raised edge where the paint and clear ended. Not acceptable for a 4“ flat area after paying around $670

Horrible Experience😡😡😡 Had my car fixed for an accident I was in. After that they cleaned my car for free service after they do after the service your vehicle and DESTROYED the tint on my windows. Jean knows this was the doing of the shop but refuses to fix what they damaged. Now I had to file another claim with my insurance to have it fix. They can deal with the Insurance Company now. Extremely irresponsible zero customer service.

Progressive preferred such a joke. Thus place said to be backed by progressive and they would do quality work. They may gave fixed up my car which took 2 weeks but didnt put effort into assembly. My door handle that got replaced is still not securely in place like it was. The key lock vibrated out and pulls right out letting anyone access my car if they wanted. The worst place to suggest taking a car too. And I made they fix the same handle 3 times since they didnt care how it was put in the 2nd time. Avoid this place unless you want your car there for a long time and get it back in half the shape it was in before your accident.

I would never again go to Rick Weaver Collision Center to have a vehicle repaired. Michelle who works the desk and Gene the manager gave me wrong or misleading information about my rights as the car owner concerning repairs and the insurance companies. They performed repairs contrary to my intentions and tried to bill me for it. RWCC ordered the wrong part and tried to bill the insurance company for restocking fees. The door and fender were repainted because they were scuffed up in the collision. None of the prior rust, dents, scratches and possibly bug guts around the areas damaged were addressed before RWCC repainted them. They painted right over the old dents, scratches and rust. I had asked Michelle when I took the car in about paying extra to have some rust on the bottom inner lip of the door removed and painted. She said taking care of that would was part of the normal process. Well they didn’t. There is paint right over the rusted areas. A little circle of paint next to the bottom edge of the door peeled off because the paint on the bottom of the door edge was ragged and hanging like burrs and caught on something.
