Great selection of furniture and appliances. Sales staff was helpful and did not bother us while looking but were readily available when we had questions. We purchased a Lazy boy sofa that reclines on both ends. Unfortunately its out of stock and is going to take 6-8 weeks to deliver but were happy with our purchase. We are still shopping for a chair and will keep them in mind.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! When I made the purchase of two items, I was told the out of town delivery would be made in two weeks. As soon as we have a truckload going to your town, I was assured by Marsha. I questioned this, as I live in a smallish town, but was reassured that the delivery time was two weeks. Needless to say, my furniture was not delivered in that time frame. In the meantime I had sold my old living room furniture and was left with an empty room. My inquiries into a delivery date were met with we dont know and there is nothing we can do. I cancelled and purchased my furniture elsewhere. Getting a credit to my card was another nightmare consisting of being transferred from person to person with no one being able to help. As I sit here more 4 days later I have not yet received a credit. I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone since customer service does not exist.

I purchased a Lazy Boy Recliiner there.. Ordered a special fabric.. The chair I got compared nothing to the one I sat in, in the store.. There is no springs or support in the seat.. when I set in it, it goes way down.. I complained they came out and made some adjustment to the seat underneath which did nothing to provide support.. I have had to use a cushion in it ever since I got it.. and the problem there is I have to keep pulling the cushion up out of the backing that it sinks into.. I will never buy or order another Lazy boy from them.. You set on first quality at their store and get seconds/less quality when delivered.. I had to call them about my sofa too, I ordered, The Cushions were poor quality, they did make improvements by delivering me better cushion inserts..
Expressing frustration for this company. We went in, and the place is beautiful. The salesman was very helpful. We order and paid for the bed set to be delivered the following week on Friday. Apparently to us, the bed had arrived MONDAY and to the fault of salesman, they repeatedly called the wrong number for a week. When Friday comes around and we call them to see what’s the status on the order, it was a big run-around. Contacting the services manager was unhelpful. It’s 11am and there I no reconciling their mistake today, and in an effort to delegate the problem (to someone other than the customer service MANAGER) she offered to put us on the phone with the salesman, as if scolding him for an incorrect number was going to help solve the problem. When we said we did not want to speak to him, we wanted to speak to you, she hung up. So here we wait, unsure of delivery tomorrow, if even tomorrow. We could have had this bed set Tuesday, and here we are, still struggling on Saturday. In short, nice selection, kind but inaccurate salesmen, and impatient and unhelpful customer service in the event of a mistake.Edit to owner: the last name is under my grandmother, whom I prefer not to name on an open google forum. However if you look under ‘D’ for a full bed, I’m sure you’ll find it.
Went to AFSchultz for his/her recliners as Christmas gifts for my husband & me. Susan OKeane was so very helpful in picking out the perfect chairs for us. Her expertise and knowledge were reassuring! The fabric is exquisite. No more vying for the most comfortable seat in the house! Price was competitive.Delivery came early, on Christmas Eve day!I hope I dont get too comfortable!Truly the best furniture shopping experience Ive ever had!

We had a good experience here when we purchased 2 recliners. Our saleslady Karen was knowledgeable but never pushy. Free delivery was a nice feature. Recommend highly!
Love this place. A little off the main drag but that is what makes it special. Lots of in stock availability but dont plan on cheap quality. And as such the price will follow.
Horrible customer service. Ordered 2 bedroom sets and a sofa a little over a month ago and was told it would be here when we moved, which is this week. I called last week and was told it would ship this week. I called this week and was told the end of August that it is on back order. I talked to the manager, mr. Ohm ?? And was told they would keep my whole deposit which was around $1300 because it was a special order. I told him the couch was the only thing special order because of the fabric and I can wait on that. He tried telling me anything you order in the store is special order. I never heard of anything so stupid. He will not see another penny of mine, which he also didnt seem to mind.After talking to the owner our furniture was delivered this week. He was very nice and seemed sincerely appreciative of my business.

The reason for only one star is because I have never had such rude customer service from a company in the business of sales. I had inquired online about some appliances that have been discontinued, but I’m trying to locate some of the appliance collection that is perhaps leftover somewhere because it’s a particular look that I’m trying to achieve. Charles Jamison, a sales associate emailed back and in all caps replied with the following “ALL ARTISTRY MODELS ARE DISCONTINUE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE HAS TOLD YOU SO STOP LOOKING”. No, thank you for inquiring, no question of whether there is anything else they can help me find something similar, just basically a “leave us all - don’t bother us.” I think I had sent a second request for information for the products that they still have on their website because I wanted to make sure that whoever received my request knew I was looking for the other appliances in the collection as well. To be clear I’m not upset with them because they don’t have what I was looking for, just upset with how I was treated for bothering to ask.
I will start off by saying the furniture store is beautiful and I cant comment on a purchase because I havent made one and probably will not. Upon entering the store I was immediately approached by a salesperson who was only trying to help, thats her job and I get that. I guess my mistake was in not saying that I was just browsing. Long story short I found the salesperson to be pushy. I do not like to be hovered over. I was not given more than 2 minutes to look around before being approached a second time by the very same person. I felt like the sales person was stalking me and I ended up leaving abruptly. I have been in this store before and had a pleasant experience.

We found the salesman to be very helpful in showing us the large array of recliners available and very patient as it took a bit of time to decide between the two we liked. We went to four local furniture stores before making the trip to Erie to purchase one we liked.

When the sectional arrived, it was dirty, and had yellow water marks all over it. We also purchased a leather set for the upstairs....the chair looks worn, and the backs of both the chair and matching couch are rippled. We are so disappointed.But the most disappointing part of this whole fiasco, is when we contacted the store, Arthur F. Schultz in Erie, they told us you have to contact the manufacturer yourself or I can email them and see if they will call you. Huh????I believe a retailer should stand behind the products they sell or at least work with the client. A customer shouldnt have to contact the manufacturer themselves.The president of the company, John Blakeslee, was rude and condescending and is not trying to help us at all. All we want is want we paid for and we didnt pay for dirty, second-rate furniture.If we dont get satisfaction, our next step is to contact the State Attorney General for the Commonwealth of PA and the Better Business Bureau and possibly our attorney.

The sales woman was very straightforward and transparent with us when we were looking to purchase a new refrigerator. She didnt try to sell us on something we didnt need nor want. Unfortunately, we were unable to purchase a fridge at the time due to modern fridges being too big for the space in our 1940s era cape cod. Although we couldnt make the purchase at the time, our experience here was positive for sure.

We bought a sofa and recliner. LazyboyPrice was good and our salesman we really liked because he asked what we were looking for. He showed us and left us alone and checked on us frequently and answered any questions.(Jim Kraus ) was the salesman.
We were sold a love seat/sofa combo made by England furniture. What encouraged us to buy it was the sales pitch that it was high quality furniture built by a subsidiary of Lazy Boy. It was purchased for my husband, who was serving in the armed forces and had to rent an apartment on his own at his new duty station. In less than a year after purchase, the sofa was already uncomfortable and sagging, as was the love seat, and that was with minimal use. Worst furniture weve ever owned.
Always easy to shop here for appliances, furniture, mattresses etc. We have been customers for 25 years or more. Our only stop. Recently Tom was so helpful and pleasant to work with.

Sales people were like hawks, prices were inflated, delivery was tricky to say the least. Erie has no real choices so it is what it is. Its always about commission in your place, whos up next, like a bad car dealership. As for sales in my name, theyre not but Im still dealing with them.If I were other people in the area, Id seriously shop around and look for other furniture stores
Cant say enough good about Arthur F. Schultz!! All of the staff are welcoming, friendly, and professional - Bob Lipski is our fav!! I love, love, love the recliner I bought last year, its a beautiful, unique color, sturdy, and a very well-built Lazy-Boy!! I havent lived in Erie too long, but had a horrible experience with the other Schultz, and furniture row charges $75 to deliver, so of course, did not do THAT, instead had to find someone with a truck to pick-it up for me. This review is for overall company and management. Reason I say that is the sales lady we dealt with was very professional but very nicely had to explain things that were completely out of her control and I understand that. We walked in and literally not one sales person greeted us or acknowledged us. We finally found what we wanted and contacted Karen after she was finished with another customer. She immediately apologized they were under staffed, again not her fault. We told her the couch we wanted......out of stock. How long would it take to get in??? Well 6 weeks maybe 10. Again not her fault. Ok I understand its out of stock it happens. So we continued shopping for another. Long story short next 4 furniture sets we were interested in were out of stock. Management why dont you save customers time and put a sign on furniture saying have to order or currently out of stock such a waste. I was immediately to the point out of frustration I told my fiancé this is ridiculous. Again not Karens fault I literally felt bad because she has to explain that stuff and be the bad guy. So because of my fiancé and urgency in needing furniture we purchased one but obviously the fifth one down the line we wanted. Karen stayed after hours to fill out paperwork with us. We went down the elevator and this blonde lady who was dressed nicely was on other side of elevator asked Karen if everything was turned off upstairs. No hello Karen or hello customers or asking nicely for that matter. If she was a manager that just gave terrible taste in our mouths. I will say delivery was that week and first delivery of morning. Were happy with couch but it was very frustrating getting it accomplished. Karen was great though.
I would never go back here. Staff who was there was pushy and didnt care what we really wanted, sold something to my grandmother that she didnt really need (needed something bigger). Then when they dropped off appliance, one guy was super rude while I just asked if they needed a bit of assistance. Had to call them back and same guy treated me like I was stupid. Go somewhere else if you want to be treated with some respect.

Huge selection of quality furniture
From the minute you walk in, Your hounded by sales people. The quality in the store of the actual pieces is deplorable. We bought a couch, and less than 6 months later were looking into replacing parts. They came to visit us at the end of february. At the end of march, when I hadnt heard a word I called and found out that part has never been ordered because the supplier is out of stock. After hasseling them for 3 weeks they finally found the part somewhere else. But it is now the end of may and I still dont have a couch thats fixed.

I recently purchased a recliner and was told the delivery would be 2-3 weeks. When I called them after the 3 weeks, I was told it would be another 2-3 weeks. This is ridiculous!!! 5-6 weeks for a chair in stock to be delivered 40 miles!!!
