** BUYER BEWARE!! **The pre-owned vehicle that my young (22 year old) single daughter bought at Wilkins Mazda in Elmhurst broke down after less than 6 weeks and 2,132 miles of use. We did everything that we thought we (as customers) should do prior to a purchase from a ‘reputable’ dealership - We asked for the CarFax report and took it for a test drive. Given this was being sold from a professional dealership with a service department, we asked if it had been thoroughly gone over and if it was in good working order. The sales team provided an acceptable CarFax report and verbally confirmed that it was in great condition. My daughter, who has the biggest heart and works with disabled and disadvantaged youth, spent as much money as she could afford to purchase this vehicle to get her safely to and from work and school. This was not the case as it broke down at 11pm on her way home from work after only 6 weeks of ownership.We had the vehicle towed to a local repair shop where the mechanic told us that the engine was in terrible condition. Apparently, someone attempted and failed at a timing chain replacement. It was noted that there were bolts missing and silicone all over the engine which is not acceptable. We were told the repair would be $4000! We called the dealership and spoke to management regarding the deception and they promptly told us “Well, that’s a risk you take when you buy a used car” and were unwilling to help remedy the issue. We were told that the vehicle was only warrantied for 15 days and that we had exceeded that time and they were not obligated to help us. At this time, they did verbally disclose other repairs that were performed on the vehicle, which we were not made aware of at the time of purchase, likely in an effort to try to redeem their shady ‘evaluation’ claims. When we told them that this was unethical and we’d make sure to inform others through online reviews they replied, “Go ahead. One bad review won’t make a difference”. Well, here you go Wilkins Mazda in Elmhurst … here’s the honest review as promised. I hope it helps others considering doing business with you. SHAME ON YOU FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HER!
There is a reason why car salesmen still have a bad rap/stereotype. It’s because of people like the management team at Wilkins Mazda.Went in to purchase new car and wanted $2,000 over list when the exact car at other Chicagoland dealerships was selling on average $198 under list (data provided by truecar). Manager proceeds to use old car salesmen tactics that got them bad stereotypes in the first place. Customer is fully informed in this day and age. Buyer beware.

Lynn in the parts dept. was great, Biggers Mazda wanted 20% more for the same parts, plus they wanted me to pay up front, which they wouldnt let me do over the phone, so I would have had to get up early to go before work just to order and pay, and then make another trip to pick them up. I leased my car from here and had a great experience with Ken Killian. Since then we keep going back because their service team is great. However, we have had multiple negative experiences with their Sales team, especially Rosa. We went in last September to buy another car and she was just not interested in selling. Today we went in again because they reached out to us asking us to trade in our leased car since they need used cars. To be respectful of everyones time, we checked to make sure that they were open to trading for a new car, including other Mazda models for the same price, and they said yes. However, when we went in with a scheduled appointment with Rosa, she was unable to help us and give us the price we wanted. The bigger concern is her attitude and complete lack of interest in helping or trying to work with you. A waste of our time and a bad experience. This is the second time with the same person and we will not be going back here for any sales.
They sold me a brand new lemon. After 35k miles the computer crapped out, they said its common and free to fix.They diagnosed it over the phone. I get there a week later on scheduled day and they dont have the part they need but confirm that the problem is what they originally said over the phone. He said he just ordered the part it will be in tomorrow. Why wouldnt they have the part they knew theyd need a week later if it only takes 1 day.I come in tomorrow. They tell me its going to be less than an hour. Two hours later they tell me they out the new part on but it didnt fix the issue. They say the part they need to fix it is out of stock and will cost me 1200 dollars.Complete incompetence. Will never buy anything from Wilkins again. (After 20 seconds on Google it is a super common problem in mazdas and Mazda refuses to be accountable. )

He and the rest of the staff accommodated my family to the highest degree and helped if we had any questions on the vehicle. I came here looking for a Mazda CX-3My friend owns one and speaks very highly of them. So I thought, why not come look at them since this location was closest to me. A young female came by to greet us and ask what we are looking for . I told her the car I wanted and right away she went to ask how much i’m willing to spend. Also asking if i am serious about buying a car. She told me that they didn’t have a CX-3 but they had a CX-5 or 9 that i could buy. I told her i specifically wanted to look at the CX-3 . She became very aggressive and had an attitude saying “I told you already we don’t have it you have to choose another one” . I’ve never worked in retail but I know that if a customer wants one thing you have to be able to give it to them or offer another location that does have it or some type of solution. Anyway, we ended up test driving a mazda 3 . After several attempts of her struggling to turn the car on. She drove it off the sidewalk and it smashed into the ground after she managed to get it off the sidewalk. Once we got back from the test drive she refused to tell me how much the car was until she ran my credit . EXTREMLY AGGRESIVE AND RUDE ! She also had a very thick accent and really hard to understand anything she was saying. While on the test drive she told us she had only been at the dealer for four months & it shows! Mazda please train your team memebers on better customer service even a little etiquette . Glad to say i went to Honda and I finally got the service i deserved . Got me a car! Thanks for nothing Mazda!

Purchased a certified pre-owned car from this dealer. Within a month the key fob battery was dead 3 weeks later the windshield wiper blade was broken. When we spoke with Frank the manager he was condescending and interrupted every 30 seconds. His interruptions were always to tell us why the issues were our fault. When we interrupted HIM to ask him to let us finish he became very irate and his interruptions became more aggressive.We felt our concerns were reasonable. If the car had undergone a 180-point inspection, why were these small things overlooked and furthermore, what else could be wrong with this car. We never got the chance to express that idea completely because Frank continued to interrupt.Frank then became angry and insisted that WE were insulting HIM with our interruptions.We asked if there was a return policy since it had been less then 30-days, instead saying “no, I’m sorry.” He said, “that’s not how it works. I’ve been doing this for 30-years.” This in itself illustrates Frank the manager’s approach to dealing with customers. After going back and forth with us about whether the Wiper was broken or not functioning, he agreed to replace the broken windshield wiper, but only if we returned to the dealership for a 2nd time. It was not possible for us to make it there because we had moved away. Frank the manager left the call by saying, “if you’re not willing to accept my help then I’m done with this phone call.”It’s unfortunate because this is the 2nd Mazda we’ve purchased and we’re completely turned off from ever purchasing another Mazda. Very disappointing experience for something that seemed reasonable to us.

Joshua P is by far the best salesman I could’ve come across! People always warn you about going to a dealership alone, especially if you’re a girl. I went in with my boxing gloves on ready to counterattack anything that came across misleading. Luckily, i didn’t need to. Joshua was respectful, informative, easy to talk to, honest, straightforward, and made me feel comfortable. It can be nerve wrecking walking into a dealership without much experience. I’ve heard and seen others go through some horrible experiences (different dealerships), but I can honestly say Joshua made this whole experience super easy and not once did he come across as pushy.

This is my third car I got from Wilkins. Bought from Sarge who’s been there 10 years. He’s great! All the sales, finance and service people are as well. I’ve always had a perfect experience there. Took about 2 hours but really was partly due to my decision. They were fast and didn’t try to sell me. As a woman buying a car they treated me and have always treated me the way I expect. I’ve bought many cars before these and this is the only dealership I would rate higher than 2 stars.They are straight with you and fair prices.With COVID even, all went well and so clean.

I bought a car from Wilkins Mazda a few weeks ago. Completely unexpected and out of the blue, but I ended up trading in my vehicle for a sportier variant of the same model. Had the pleasure of working with Joshua Pasturczak. The guy was professional, but also very casual in his approach. He knew what he was doing and was as passionate about his car and taking care of it as me. Even told me about some good add-ons to improve vehicle usability and protection. It took me a few days to get my car from the dealership after all the add-on services were complete, but I was given a brand new Mazda CX-5 to drive while I was waiting, free of charge. Josh made sure any concerns I had regarding the vehicle were addressed and resolved and periodically kept in touch after the purchase was complete to ensure everything was in good order. A good experience overall.

Avoid this place if youre a female, alone and or black. I shouldve known it would be a terrible experience when I wasnt greeted upon arrival. Sales rep Sal got out of his chair and decided to have a 3 to 4 minute conversation with the sales manager before assisting me. While standing at the front desk I patiently watched and waited for their conversation to end. Sal never introduced himself to me. Sales rep Sal was unwelcoming, unprofessional unfriendly, arrogant, condescending, curt, and he also has a bad odor. Sal did not hold the door on the way out to view the vehicles nor did he tell me which vehicles we were getting ready to look at. I felt like my presence annoyed him. In all of my 37 years on earth I was fortunate enough not to experience discrimination of any kind until yesterday.

My husband and I bought a car from Wilkins back in July and walked away unimpressed. Overall, it felt like a boys club and was an uncomfortable experience, especially for me as a woman. But, hey, we got a good deal and a beautiful car.We are registering the car in Washington State so Wilkins was helpful in figuring that out with us. They also let us know it might take longer than usual to get our plates because of COVID-19. We tried checking in with Wilkins about the status of our plates multiple times in August after the temporary plates expired. No response to any of our inquiries.Finally got in touch with Wilkins today and it turns out there was a paperwork error so our registration has yet to be submitted to the DMV for processing. They said its the fault of the girl who quit. Basically, our paperwork fell through the cracks during a staff transition and the issue wasnt realized until we spoke today and I reminded them of our lack of plates.I understand staff turnover and the challenges it brings in terms of work continuity but it is crazy that - for more than a month - our requests for an update went unanswered. I am especially frustrated because when I did reach Wilkins today, they condescendingly reminded me that they said it would take a long time because of COVID-19. The problem here has nothing to due with COVID-19: it is a delay caused by incompetency, lack of communication, and poor customer service.In short, we love our car but would not return to Wilkins and recommend you go elsewhere.UPDATE: 11/09/2020 We FINALLY got our license plates 3 months of back and forth. Nina was very helpful in working overtime to get the plates processed.In all in all, as I said before: we love our car but would not return to Wilkins and recommend you go elsewhere (unless you enjoy being gaslit, exceptionally poor customer service, and incompetence).

I just purchased a Mazda 6 from Wilkins. I had issues with getting a SD card for navigation. It took longer than promised and a few attempts. The Operation Manager and Service Manager went out of their way to correct our concerns.

I thought that the service I received from Kristin & Manny was extremely hospitable. I really loved the service I received from Kristin because she never seemed annoyed with all of the questions that I was asking and she was always quick to respond. I was also in contact with two other Mazda Dealers from which I received the worst service from and was considering not getting a Mazda all together. I was happy after I started communicating with Kristin and my first thought was that I finally found a person that really cares about my needs.After talking to Kristin I then met Manny when I went to the store to purchase the car. I had a fabulous time with Manny. I felt like I was talking to one of my friends and not a sales person. He was so courteous and friendly that I actually forgot that I just met him. while we were waiting to contact my insurance company he was even telling me about a great cafe to go to. What can I say about this place.... well it was a pleasure working with Joe the Marine from parts. Not only did he get me the part I needed but he gave me free advice concerning my car. Upon my arrival, Mike greeted me promptly. I had a specific car in mind and he immediately got to work readying the car for a test drive. I was able to take the car on a drive with just my wife. Mike was helpful, but he did not hover over us nor did he try to do a hard sell. He was professional and accommodating. He also arranged to have the car put on a rack so I could inspect the underside of the car. The price negotiation was reasonably transparent and we settled on a very fair price quickly. Overall, an excellent experience. I despise high pressure car sales, so Mike was perfect for me.
It was a very Bad experience for me.the sales guy was very good and took the time to go through thecar i was looking at, it was when we started talking money that thefinance Manager was not a good person to deal with.We made them an offer on the car we wanted and he sent the sales guy toget a different car that we could afford at that price.so we continued to pick up our stuff to leave.he didnt even make an offer back to us or explainwhy they couldnt do the price we wanted.While leaving the sales guy asked if we would wait so hecould talk to a Manager and try to salvage any deal we mightbe able to make.The finance Manager comes out and asks me why i was offering sucha low price on the car i wanted, did i see it online or another dealership.i told him yes i did and proceeded to show him the exact same car at a lower priceand he told me good luck on buying the car and let me leave.i was contacted by them Several times from them to try and make a dealbut i told them i was never going back there for the way they treat people.i did buy a car at St. Charles Nissan, and they are people that treat you withrespect and also look for your best interest at heart.Go buy a car anywhere but here. This place is GarbageThe Finance Manager That acted like an A*****E was Ken.

A story coming to a sad end. I have owned my 14 Mazda 3 for some years now. I have been having it regularly serviced at Wilkins Mazda. I come from the auto industry so yes I pay someone to work on my car. Also I k ow when someone is trying to bust my chops, and let me tell you this is the first dealer I have felt comfortable at. I feel trusted and relaxed. I know when I come here I dont have to worry about my car or the quality of work. They always have loans and a nice waiting area. Sadly Im selling my Mazda and purchased a Sonata. I will still have it serviced here and forward looking to the seeing them. Strongly suggest this place for service.
Bought a 2015 Hyundai Accent, Ricky Vargas was very professional and well presented salesman. Did not repair my car properly. I fix it myself in my driveway in about 15 minutes. They charge me 135 dollars for nothing.The service advisor was polite! When he was not busy taking cigarette breaks or talking to his friends.
From the moment we entered the showroom we were greeted and treated very nicely. Ricky was by far the nicest salesman I have encountered - not pushy. We went to several dealerships prior to this one and left for various reasons. At Wilkins they listened to our needs and Ricky and the finance department did everything they could to make our deal work within our budget - mission accomplished! I would definitely purchase another vehicle here.
I am surprised by the excellent services Wilkins Mazda provide. I was driving my Mazda 6 on the highway and Chicago winter could be very desperate. Suddenly my car start to behave wrong and I know the tire pressure is low but the car is shaking like it was not suppose to. When I arrived I saw a very good looking store and I think it will cost me a fortune to fix the problem, but eventually they fixed everything for free! It was the tire pressure and the snow inside the wheels, they clean the snow and pump the tire for me.
Bought a CX5 here yesterday. We shopped around a bunch and they were by far the best dealership weve dealt with in terms of pricing and courteousness. Joe McGaha especially was super patient, funny, and well-informed. Great team here, highly recommend you to go here instead of other Mazda dealerships in the area.
Beautiful dealership. We bought our mazda here and by far the nicest dealership we visited. They were competitive on price and pleasant to purchase from. I was very impressed how limited the upselling was. The only thing I was very disappointed in is that the car had grime in it from the car valet or delivery driver. I would have never have presented a car to a potential customer having more than one area with visible mud/dirt on it. Not with 11 miles on the car. They claim its more important to have the car quickly than perfect. I disagree that you never get another first impression. Other than that everyone was pleasant and we did buy the car from there.
I just bought a 2019 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve from Wilkins Mazda in Elmhurst, and I absolutely love it! What a great experience from walking in the door to signing the paperwork a week later. Josh Pasturczak was my sales person, and he was amazing through the whole process. I looked at several other dealerships with cars in the same category, and had the best experience by far at Wilkins. I’ve never owned a Mazda before, but after my experience at Wilkins I would go back in a heartbeat. The follow-up has been great as well. Josh has reached out a couple times since buying the car just to see if I like it, if I have any questions and if there’s anything else he can do. Great car and great place to do business! Highly recommend.
It is very dishonest dealer. Especially beware of their website. Of course, if you do not want to waste your time. If you find a car at a good price on their website, you should ALWAYS ask what discounts are included. I assure you that not all the discounts you qualify and the final price will be higher. On each side of their cars is a calculator, which suggests that you can get shown price AND the estimated interest rate is 1.99%. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have a credit score of nearly 800 and they wanted to give me 3.9%. For whom is the 1.99% shown at this attractive price? Watch out for these tricks ...The most unfair was that they promised to send only one credit inquiry (to Mazda only). Of course, they lied. They sent two and of course doubly hurt my credit score. I had Jim as my salesman and he was very kind lets you take car out by yourself so you get the full feeling. Everything was good low on pressure sales and more about you. It did take a while to get all paperwork done and they throw three warranty options at end but overall very satisfied.
I leased a 2016 Mazda6 Touring (absolutely love the car!). This is my third Mazda6, but first experience with leasing a vehicle. I did a good deal of research on the leasing process beforehand, and I can confidently say that Wilkins Mazda was more than fair--just the opposite of the stereotypical view of car salesmen. I walked in anticipating the need to defend myself from being taken advantage of, but I am happy to say I left feeling like everyone I dealt with was looking out for my best interests. The entire experience was pleasant from beginning to end. They were polite, courteous, and knowledgeable. I felt I received a fairly generous offer on my trade-in vehicle, and that I got a great deal on my new one. They only charged $250 over dealer invoice price. I called this morning to schedule an appointment for an oil change, the service guy that answered the phone by the name Jonathan, was very rude. The kind of customer service Jonathan provided me definitely pushed me to go and get my service done at a different dealership. Based on this fellow staff member’s disrespect Mazda of wilkins lost me as a customer.
Service:The service guys are doing a phenomenaly amazing job. They explain every part of service in detail, and the timing is pretty good too. Do they sale vehicles here? Walked in and spent time in the cx5 in the middle of the floor. No one came to ask anything. Funny thing is had someone asked Id have left my vehicle and drove out in theres. 2 stars because I liked the vehicle. Time to go shopping

Our first car! I must admit this was a first for my wife and I. We had always bought used cars but never from a dealership. We decided to upgrade from our current ride to something newer. Jeff took the time to walk us through the dealership system and was not pushy at all with his salesmanship. We have waited nearly two months to write this review only cause we wanted to make sure that we didnt end up with a car that needed work or felt screwed. But the car is great, runs like a dream, good mileage. No issues and still has a warranty! Will be going back for another purchase in the future and would recommend Jeff to any new or first time car buyer!

I came into Wilkins Mazda really just to test drive a Mazda 3 but ended up leaving with one too. My salesperson Jeff Matzkin did an exceptional job. I didnt feel pressured to buy and he presented information in a nice way. He worked with where I wanted to pay. Id recommend anyone going to Wilkins to get Jeff since he strives to get you what you want.
We bought a pre-owned Toyota Sequoia from Mike Myers (great name!), and also worked with Rich, the sales manager. Usually, when we walk into a car lot, we feel like prey wandering into a lions den. Not here though! We felt comfortable and were treated respectfully and fairly. The Sequoia was one of the best available at the time and at one of the best prices. There were a couple of issues, as to be expected with a 2005, but Mike and Rich corrected the couple things we requested and even a couple of things we didnt. 5-star service!

I found a certified 2015 Mazda cx 9 online at their location and I live in Wisconsin. Called on Thursday to set up a time to look at the car on Friday, and get a pre-purchase inspection. Taylor and Glenn were very helpful in explaining everything. Financing was a breeze (they found a great rate.) They detailed the car and showed me features before leaving. They were very mindful that I traveled several hours to purchase. Would highly recommend them if you are looking for a Mazda.
