We had some lovely Cornish pasties in Devon.
Had such a yummy raspberry blondie with an iced oat latte this week. Recommend 😋
Why is there a surcharge of 40p for decaff? I have never seen this anywhere. Pricing needs reviewing. Carrot cake was delicious.
We stopped off at The Old Mill cafe in the afternoon of the last day in May, which had turned unexpectedly sunny. There is a limited amount of seating inside and outside and as the day had turned sunny by that point we had to wait a few minutes for a table to become free.Once we finally got a table we made our choices and I went up to order. Again, there was a little bit of a wait to place the order; Im not sure if they were understaffed due to not expecting the sunshine to bring people out (although there seemed to be several staff serving and clearing tables) or not but eventually I was able to order the Ive creams for the kids and the cream teas for the grown-ups.While I was given the drinks straight away, the was a bit of a wait once again for the scones but when they arrived they were still steaming, fresh from the oven.Thankfully the wait was more than made up for by the quality of the scones.
Phoned this morning for directions from Bovisand where we are staying, as fancied cream teas. Discovered not too far away.Arrived, doorway access blocked by a table and informed they were only serving take a way! No mention of this when we phoned. Very disappointing. Needless to say, we left empty handed.
Amazing cake, lovely ice cream too, amazing to just sit and enjoy the view of wembury beach.
Good variety of delicious food in cafe, ample parking, steps down to cafe so no wheelchair access and no disabled toilets. Walking is fairly even round to Plymouth sound with a good variety of wildlife .. sand lizards and insects. Footpath no good for wheelchairs.
We visited a number of coffee shops and cafes while on holiday in south Devon, but this one had by far the best coffee, and the cakes we tried (3 different ones in the two visits that we made) were great, if a little on the expensive side (hence 4 rather than 5 stars). The second time we went, I had to sample a cream tea (with two scones), and I can vouch for how tasty that was!! I would definitely recommend this cafe.If youre not a National Trust member then to avoid paying the exorbitant parking fee, just park up the hill a bit in the village itself and walk down. You can then pretend that you ate the cakes that you did in order to give you enough energy to walk back up the hill afterwards! :-)
Not bad at all. Super convenient for the beach and prices are very reasonable for a National Trust cafe. Good variety of food and drink available suitable for children and adults as well as takeaway coffee to enjoy on Wembury beach.
Lovely cafe on the beach nice coffee great bacon sarnie. Sells drinks hot snacks and soup.
Fabulous food very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.
Obligatory stop in a national trust cafe after a nice walk. Yummy pasties, coffee and hot chocolate.
Gorgeous beach and secluded, shaded, dog friendly cafe off the beaten track but close to Plymouth. Busy, so park in the church yard (remember to donate at least a couple of quid to the church) if its busy at the beach car park. Try the ice creams too!
Gluten free bread is available which opens up the menu to coeliacs and those with gluten intolerances. Quite rare to find in small beach cafes like this. Great coffee too!
A lovely cafe on the coastal path. Great sandwiches
Cant beet having this place right on the beach. Lovely cake and other food but Im a cake and coffee person and its grate.
Nice place. The prices are a bit too high and cafe is not open too long. But still -nice place 😊
Very nice cup of tea and coffee with a wonderful view will be back .
I walk most weeks from Plympton to Wembury and back the coastal path to Plymouth.....its expensive. I used to get a toasted tea cake but they are small and bland and they only do strawberry jam.....boring! They charge extra for a decaf latte and they dont put a sell buy date on their sandwiches. So...instead of spending over 6 quid I make my own and sit on the beach. They need to review their prices
Great location! Friendly staff and good coffee and hot chocolate .
Lovely setting, nice presentation in an old historic building & fairly priced selection. It is right on the coastal path so a great place to stop for a cuppa etc. Almost off-grid as theres no WiFi & iffy mobile signal in the area.
Lovely cafe on the edge of the beach. Friendly staff and one of the best cup of tea Ive had.....
Really nice toasted panini with great sea views
A great little Cafe that has good food and good value for money, and its right on the beach.
Quaint little place situated right on Wembury beech. Very pleasant and refreshing. Not too badly priced either.
The best venue for coastal/surf based leisure pursuits in the UK
Fantasic cakes and lovely atmosphere.
Friendly service and tasty take away coffee
Lovely little spot, great views, perfect for a little something to eat after a walk. Only down side is not enough outside seating but you can see why with limited space.
Lovely food and very friendly people. Went every day for a week, eat with a veiw.
The cafe provides a lovely heart to the beautiful Wembury beach.
Nice for an ice cream or a drink after going to the beach. I find it expensive which is the only reason I havent given it a higher rating.
Could be cheaper. Good quality though.
Fascinating place, right on Wembury Beach. Decent coffee, almost Australian standard.
Limited selection on food but lovely location on Wembury Cove.
I came in here to have an ice cream but they ran out. However, the staff were nice and friendly.
I went Friday 20th April 2018 14:00. It was closed though it had the opening times displayed.
