So I had to edit my review from 5 stars to 2 stars and from 100% recommendation, to no recommendation...bought a used boat 2 MONTHS ago. And already having issues. Took it to them TWICE already. I should not be having to invest money to then already granted it being a used boat. Highly disappointed with them...this is just a Buyer Beware review. Hope everyone has better luck with them than I did if you choose to go with them!!!

Drew Atkinson from Wake Side is a great instructor for all things on the water! He is a great surfing instructor and we loved taking surfing lessons with him. He never failed to get anyone up and going! He is the master of surfing and is awesome at it!! His skills are AMAZING and he is so outgoing! We love Drew:)

First vacation in 18 months and the steering cable on my Nautique started binding up. Called Grayson, explained the situation and came up with an immediate plan. I had to pull the boat and get it down to them but they took care of the rest. I was back on the water with a new steering cable and actually got to enjoy some tine off. Love working with WakeSide Marine, we have now purchased our 4th boat in about 10 years from them. From sales to service these guys are A+ to work with. Always easy going helping us pick models, colors and accessories. Any time we have an issue it is resolved in a timely manner. Service is awesome, they make our lives so easy by having winterization options available to set up online. All we have to do is set it up and they come pick up the boat. Drew took us tubing and we had an amazing time!! He knew exactly how to give us the perfect mix of fun and falling off of the tube. Although Drew gave us a fun and wild ride, he was very careful and followed many safety precautions, keeping us reassured that our fun day tubing was one hundred percent safe. I would highly recommend hiring Drew to take you tubing, you won’t forget your awesome experience!!

The Wakeside service team was awesome in helping us with our boat.They were able to have us back boating in a very short time and enjoying our Nautique.

We were driving from Canada to Maryland with our new Nautique g23, had a major problem with our trailer and drove to Wakeside and the incredible team jumped on the repair the minute the doors opened and we were back on the road in less than an hour. 5 star service at this marine.

I recommend Wylands marine. I tried calling wakeside while they were open and the parts counter literally kept picking up and hanging up the phone without saying even saying hello. Until they eventually let it go to voice mail after several attempts to call and being rudely hung up on. If you dont have the courtesy to say im busy please hold Then im definitely spending my hard earned money with the competition. Happy boating!Edit: In response to the businesss reply. Perhaps consider something more reliable like a landline? Its a business after all and as exampled unreliable communication will result in business loss.

Went in to get a fuel pump gasket kit for a mercury 120xr sport jet motor. Went to give them the part number, and was told very rudely that without my motors serial number, they wouldn’t help me, told me just to go buy it online. I will never walk thru their door again! Worst service ever

Fantastic Customer Service. I was searching for an inboard online. I contacted numerous folks with boats for sale and Chris from Wakeside was the only person who followed up with a phone call. Turns out the boat I originally inquired about already had an offer on it. During our conversation, he asked about what I was looking for, what I was going to use the boat for etc. He said he thought he might have a boat that would fit my needs, but wasnt listed on his website yet. He forwarded me some information. I decided to come look at it and test it out, but I live 3 hrs from their shop and I could only come on Sunday - when they are closed. He took time to meet me on his day off. We purchased the boat. He made some adjustments to the boat and took care of some things that may of been minor to him, but I really felt like he cared about me and the boat. The next week we were going to pick up the boat and he sent one of his guys out to meet us half way. Unbelievable! Then to top it off he sends us a thank you card in the mail that I received two days later. Im really impressed with these guys and Im sure my boat purchase is going to work out great.

Wakeside has stored and serviced our pontoon and jet ski for years and we have been happy. But Meghan went way beyond this year to provide great customer service getting our pontoon delivered quickly for the second time when, through no fault of Wakeside, the pontoon wouldnt fit in the Shore Station the first time. We sure appreciate her patience, cheerfulness and fantastic service !!

Very disappointed in their parts department service. Dropped off a cushion to have repaired over two weeks ago. No phone calls, nothing. They told me 1 week and around $200.00. I stopped by in person to check on the status and it was still sitting there. I took it to Dygert trim, got it done in two days for $100.00. Will not be going back there for a long time for anything. Sad part about it, I bought my used pontoon boat from them.

Bought my used boat here. So far I have had good service, even though I am probably a small customer to them, judging by the very nice boats they sell.

I’ve had a lot of work done at wakeside this last year after buying a used wakesetter. We completely replaced the audio, put a new power wedge on, replaced the drive seal shaft, new engine belt, and new water pump. Everyone at wakeside was extremely welcoming, helpful, and professional. Jamie, Megan, and Tony have all been extremely helpful. I especially have to thank Scott for getting all of the work done on the boat. Scott has been amazingly helpful and is always willing to answer any questions I have(and I’ve had many as a first time boat owner). I would highly recommend going to Wakeside for any/all of your boating and boat storage needs!

Having just bought a lake house nearby this summer, I was referred to Wakeside by my realtor. I could not be more pleased with their service. They took in two Sea Doos and lifts in on trade and helped me get into a beautiful new South Bay pontoon boat in record time. We were able to enjoy our new boat in time for the Fourth and I feel great about the deal that I got. We had one small issue with the stereo on the boat and they had it fixed and back in the water before I got there the following weekend. When I decided to buy a used Ski boat, I went back to Rob, Jeff, Chris and Neil and they helped me find the perfect boat for my family. Im a customer for life!

I bought a Pontoon boat from a Marina in sister lakes Michigan. It was a brand new Berkeshire boat when I purchased it and had warranty issues that Burkeshire was going to take care of. The man at the marina here were I purchased the pontoon refused to do anything about the warranty issue and left me high and dry. I called forest river marina which is a Berkshire Hathaway Company and they specialize in Southbay boats and Berkshire. They Informed me that they are no longer doing business with this Marina I purchase it from and put me in contact with Wakeside Marina in Elkhart Indiana. I spoke with Meghan and Jamie on several occasions and they were always very professional and very polite and they have always stayed in contact with me throughout the process. Their communication to me, the customer service was far beyond what I ever expected and which I never had from a Marina by me.here in sister Lakes. I would highly recommend them and I am going to be using them as mine Marina from this day going forward. Jamie and Megan both hit the ball out of the park for me and I truly appreciate them both .Jim Healy

We looked at every single boat at the Chicago Boat Show, and went back to look at the boat we liked the most, which was at Wakeside. Jeff took his time to answer every one of our questions (twice we were back asking questions) without once making us feel like we were wasting his time. Not only did he bring our boat out for us for us when it was convenient to us, but it was cold and windy, and not the easiest ramp. He showed us how to put it in the water, how to work everything, let us drive around the lake (again, never making us feel like we wasted his time). He had to then stand in cold water on a windy day to show us how it goes back on the boat trailer. Without a doubt, I would recommend this place to anyone considering a boat purchase. Phone calls are always answered, and their customer service outstanding. Our boat is exactly what we ordered, and the promise to train us was kept! You guys at WakeSide are truly awesome!

At this point VERY unhappy. Took my I/O deck boat to them last fall (2014) we had some shifting issues, control lever kept falling apart, and hard to get into forward and reverse, no other problem ran all summer with temp running @ 160 degrees, since they had it for repair they were to winterize, and store over winter as well.Picked up the boat April 23, 2015 and when we climbed up in the boat that evening to clean and prep for putting into the water on the 26th, found the dividers in the engine compartment were never put back or secured in place. They also after changing the control box and and cables never fastened the cables up or replaced the carpet back in place they were just hanging down in the side pockets. I called them Friday (24th) took it back out on Sat the 25th @ 9:30 AM was told they would get someone on it soon and call me when these were back in place. At 1:30 I call them as I still hadnt heard anything and they close at 2 and she said he was just pulling it around, I pick it up in rain and didnt double check (dumb me) and take it to the campground. Sure enough wires and carpet nothing changed. Engine dividers were put back in place Wow had it 4 hours for a min fix and not complete everything again. Because of losing Sat to work on it we worked hard to wires, carpet back in place, clean and wax outside but ran out of time to get the boat in the water. NOW 1 week later. I put the boat in back it off the trailer (oh yea forgot to mention they broke a fender during the storage time they had it). so once in the water I back into the clear away from anything and it went into reverse fine but do you think it will go int forward. NOPE. so now im floating try to get something to happen and it catches but the throttle control is all the way to 10 oclock position. start going and it dies about 20 seconds later. Now in the middle, Finally back it over close to our dock and throw a rope to my wife to pull me in (it died 3-4 more time trying to get to the dock). Also now the temp gets all the way to 240. Going out when they open to see what they will do so I can change this review. NOT sure. Cant get it up on the trailer with no forward
