What an amazing place to have in the Elizabethtown area! It’s always an at home atmosphere. The owner is doing the absolute most to give the local people a high quality store, with high quality products, and a high quality gun range. I’ve been buying firearms from this business since they have opened. Being able to watch their success, and their growth. Really shows how important it is to make everyone who walks in, leaving happy. Their process on tax stamps for level 3 items is painless, and their help is very well given during the process. If you’re a resident outside of the area. It’s very well worth the travel to come visit this amazing facility, and talk to the A Team. The knowledge they have about firearms, is very concrete and I leave with a new firearm, and new knowledge about a firearm. Every single time ! Thank you all for what you have done in the community. Being in the Army I have been to many ranges both civilian and military. This range is the best indoor one I have been to. Range safety stays on the lanes, the targets are push button automated, and the staff is 100% knowledgeable on the weapons they sell. My AR needed to be fixed because I couldn’t figure out what was wrong but after a short while Ray had it all worked out and back up operating. Can’t thank him and them enough. Make sure you stop by cause they have fishing gear too.

My first gun was bought here and the gentleman was very professional and helpful and patient as I looked at numerous guns. I plan the visit the range very soon. I am curious if it is handicap accessible as I would like to bring my mother but she cant stand for very long.

Love these guys! All around good experience. MASKS always preferred, I had been on a waiting list with them for over a year. Anyone else wouldnt have kept up with that. I Also made a big sale with the Hellcat optical sighting. They put it on for me, the ammo had sold out from morning, they made sure I didnt walk out without it. They are still in the middle of setting up there store so there may be an instance were they need to look for something, but they arent fully stocked, fully equipped, they came from a store half the size they are operating in so they are still adjusting as we are to the range being back up. So until they are fully converted keep the negatives to youself.

I hate to 1 star rate any place. After the way a very interested potential customer (myself) was treated today Im surprised more people dont complain. Ive been looking for a particular gun for about a year, walked in today and it was finally in stock. I asked to see it, was then questioned as to whether I was gonna purchase or just look at after about 15 seconds of handling it! I then said I was interested and asked about ammo. I was cut off mid sentence as the employee walked away to talk to someone he knew that had just walked in. Needless to say with customer service like that Im honestly surprised he still has a job. Very disappointed and chose to take my $1000 sale elsewhere.

Best gun shop in Hardin county. Cant beat the prices on guns and ammo. The staff is always ready to help and answer any questions. After coming here Ive stopped going to every other gun store in Etown. This place is definitely number one.

I have bought my last 4 guns from here. I gave it a 1 star review prior to my last visit for terrible service. I went back yesterday and ran into a guy that sold me my first gun there. He followed me everywhere, answered every question. Needless to say I bought a gun yesterday and couldnt be happier. So I took back my impulse review and replaced it.

I have purchased several guns, some reloading supplies and a couple gun cases from this establishment. Generally good experiences. Just like with any type shopping, you need to know a little about what you are looking at and know what other retailers sell the items for. I have found their prices on firearms to be fairly reasonable. For the most common items the prices are generally better at big box stores like Wal-Mart or Academy, etc. but if you need less common items, Sportsman’s has fair prices and/or is able to order what you need. I like that! Ordering things usually takes less than a week and they are good about letting you know as soon as the item comes in. I do have to agree that the young fella is kind of a smart a## who acts as if he knows it all. I just take it with a grain of salt and move on. Overall, a decent company to do business with and I’ll be back. The only suggestion I would make to them is to check with their bank about taking debit cards. For high dollar items I understand you give a little percentage of profit away and are therefore hesitant about taking credit cards for large purchases. However, I hate to carry large amounts of cash and I am told the retailer doesn’t have to pay big percentages on a debit card purchase.

The best sportsman shop in the area, I was treated like a long time customer. They knew all the paperwork I needed for my silencer and put the new triggers on and prepared my rifles for when I get my approval for my silencer. I am going back today to buy another silencer. Active Military, Army retirees and police get discount on Glocks that no other gun shop offers prices cheaper than the stores can purchases them they did not have to tell me that and could keep the extra profit but they are a honest shop!

This is by far the absolute best gun and fishing store in and around the Elizabethtown area. I have bought off the shelf and had them order firearms for me the process is quick and easy. There staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and there prices are great. Sportsmans rod and gun is able to meet all of my shooting and fishing needs.

This is a good gun store. Everybody there is knowledgeable and competent. They are good business people and can be trusted. It is a GREAT place to sell guns on consignment. They maintain a big inventory, so there is a good chance of finding what you want in stock. Regarding these reviews, I believe that only a few customers who are happy will write reviews, and that people who are p1ss6d off are more likely to write these reviews--hence the bi-modal distribution. Have been here several times before and have always had a pleasant experience however this week was different the gentleman who helped me was extremely rude, he was a middle aged man who was bald (I can’t remeber his name for anything) he acted like he was too good to help a customer and seemed to be annoyed if he was bothered. I would rather go to bardstown than have to deal with that again.

I usually frequent the store for all my gun and ammo needs, How ever after an experience with wanting to purchase a rifle. The young lady that works there. Always answers all my questions and usually the first one to greet me. Always been a great help. The younger gentleman that I guess is in charge when the owner isnt present. His attitude was poor and didnt leave much room for me to ask any questions. When I was inquiring about a rifle. It appears his conversation he was having with another guy behind the counter was a bit more important. The used rifle I was ready to buy was marked 199.00. I asked if they could do any better on the price. He stopped briefly to only say. 199 out the door is the best he can do. I didnt get a chance to even ask a single question afterwards. He went on and on about....how that exact same rifle. Is so highly collectable and the action alone. Sells for 199 all day online. Then he went back to his conversation. As if he carried a God has spoken attitude. Im still debating on if I will remain a loyal customer. The young lady that works there. Along with the owner and an older gentleman. Have always been a great help and assisted me with all my needs. I had no issue paying 199 for the rifle but was just curious if a better deal could be made. After his attitude that night. I politely walked out. I believe I will look for rifle else where. If I have to wait til another store gets one. I believe I will do so.

I bought a Smith and Wesson mp shield (new) from this establishment. Sales person was very nice and attentive. However after getting the gun home found that the slide release could not be engaged because it was way to tight. Asked if I could get a replacement and I even offered to pay more for another gun that did not have this defect. I was told the gun is used its just like a car once you drive it off the lot it loses value I thought to myself wow I had no idea this was the kind of used car lot place I was dealing with. I thought to myself even cars have a lemon law, but I just bit my tongue and decided to go sell my NEW gun else where and pay for another new gun so I didnt feel like this place made money off me twice, by selling me a gun that has an issue with it straight out of the box... very disappointing I really thought I liked this place... my advice spend your money else where. :(

Awful to work with and dont hold up to their word. They were very rude to my wife and tried to make it sound like she was a liar. Will never use them again for anything.

I agree with most reviewers. That is what led me there. I would buy all my guns from them. The staff is very friendly and willing to talk and if they dont specialize in a certain weapon type they hook you up with the person who does! I was stoked to trade in a gun I did not want in my arsenal anymore and did not like it the moment I fired it. They helped me find the right gun to replace it and I couldnt be happier and am just mad I never went with the weapon I walked out with this week the first time. Thanks a lot and will put in a good word for anyone who is looking to buy a firearm.

It was all around poor customer service by a young guy who is a self-proclaimed expert on everything but seems only to know how to blow some smoke to make a sale. First I received a lot of static for returning a simple 40$ unopened item and then gave me a gift card instead of a refund even when I told him I live 60 miles away and the item was a present. While waiting he gave bad advice to a customer wanting to buy an AR then proceeded to tell another customer that another AR rifle could hold 1/4 inch (.25MOA) groups which is better than my $3,500 F-Open Match 6BR rifle. The general selection of items that were not guns was very minimal and low end.

A few weeks agao bought a gun holster from the sales guy. He sworn it would fit my wifes gun...got home did not fit. Took it back the next day, didnt have no holsters for he gun, he said would have to be put on a gift card. What a joke..could not get my money back. Will never go back to them!
