The server was extremely polite,I havent been there in a very long time, back then the restaurant had double the size, was really pretty and had a big salad bar.I was surprised of the drastic change now it looks just like another cafeteria with a gift shop in it.About food:my salad didnt match the description on the menu.....I had grilled chickens salad.menu says boil egg on it ....I didnt get one,its ok Im not going to die about thatπwe order corn bread,I just posted a pic of them....they were over backed hard and dark.server told us that they were eatableπ€·π»ββοΈI think that was terrible from them since its a restaurant and not a bar, what I mean its that we went to eat food we expected to get good quality from a restaurant not from a bar,in a bar you go for drinks and dont expect to get everything 5 star since their specialty its drinks not food, right?!!? anyway my companion ordered meat loaf and all I see was a pile of ground beef and that its why they just get 3 stars.Places was not that crowded.Restaurant was clean employees were working hard all the time trying to keep the place clean.Desert was delicious.Hope next time I would get a better experience ππππThis review is asking me how much did I pay,but I didnt pay so I guess it was around 50 for dinnerπΆthanks for reading.
We could not call in a phone order that was a lie and Website was slow. We drove in and ordered a fried chicken dinner. Said 15 minutes wait turned into an hour and 5 minutes. When I was waiting. Another customer came in and said they were here to pick up a phone order. I had asked if she called in the order she said yes. So whoever answered the phone just flat-out lied to me. Ordered as a side sweet potato casserole. They told me that you only answer that on Thursdays. How stupid is that. Probably another lie. Took the food outside they didnt even give us a complete order. Had to go back inside to retrieve the rest of the order. I took the food home. The food was okay. The price was also $15 over the internet price. I will never order from here again.
My mother wanted to eat here for breakfast and as we walked in they wanted me to put my mask on and I said I donβt own one. And they offered me and I said no thanks. The hostess said then you canβt go in the restaurant. And I said thatβs fine Village Inn will gladly have us. LETS GO BRANDON!!! You just lost an entire family of guests/customers!
Dont eat here...very very bad service...server Ricardo C didnt know to bring salad before dinner and well done was bloody...and they didnt give a hoot...El Paso Texas has much better places to eat than this hole..only way to post is with one star, cant give a zero... I have tried to give this place a chance, 6 times now, never eat here again....I complained to server and cashier and they didnt care at all...There is $24.54 that Ill never get back...The whole point of going to dinner with my wife is to eat dinner together not after she is finished...DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE PEOPLE!!!!
While I want to rate this place higher because I like the food and the atmosphere, I cant because the place is a mess!As I walked into the dining room tables are not cleaned up and when I was sat at my table the table still had crumbs on it and the chairs. There was garage on the floor around my table and all around the dinning room! They also had plenty of workers so thats a wore out excuse anymore!
I love the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. It is sad to see them short on staff. I went recently and had to wait longer than usual. It is NOT the servers fault. I will continue to go (but plan ahead).
Dont trust it. Check your food before you leave the store! I am so beyond done with The Cracker Barrel. This is supposed to be the cheddar broccoli chicken. What is this SCRAPS! I wont waist another dime there. This is how they gave this to me. Im not going to eat this. The manager Gabriel was nice to offer a replacement or refund but thats what I was offered the one time before that at a Jacksonville Cracker Barrel only I never received that email with the voucher to be reimbursed Thom Wilkinson guest Relations representative. This Cracker Barrel is about a 20 minute drive from my home. Im so upset I waisted gas and my time.
Delicious, always great and never disappoints. One thing I hate its super super packed, get there will time because you will wait 45 to a hr to wait for a table
Love the atmosphere. Good sized portions for the price. Comfort food served fast fresh and hot.
Love this place for breakfast their eggs in a basket always hits the spot. That and their hash brown casserole is delicious.
Do not order the chicken-less chicken n dumplins NOT ONE PIECE OF CHICKEN IN ANY OF OUR THREE ORDERS!! very disappointed. Pancakes were good which is the only reason for 2 stars.
The server did an awesome job waiting on us. He was friendly, personable, outgoing, and showed the βTexas Hospitalityβ.The food, on the other hand, it wasnβt that great. I ordered the Kidβs meal Cheese sliders with a side of Dumplings ($5.xx) and it was cool, as in not hot & fresh like itβs supposed to be.My husband ordered the Fried Chicken and Iβm presuming his was fine, since he ate all of it.There was an error on the check and our server βdid one betterβ as in he removed my husbandβs beverage off the bill. Thus the reason for the 4.5 stars.
Consistently delicious food. Visited during a busy Sunday afternoon, yet servers efficient and friendly.
Came for Sunday breakfast this morning. Arrived around 7:40am, ordered by 7:45 and had our food by 7:50. We were lucky that many of the parties inside already had their food by the time we ordered. Terry took great care of us. This was my first time here for breakfast and she explained what All The Fixins included and made recommendations for us.
You gotta wait a little if you want GREAT food! The most weve ever waited was 50 minutes for a table, but the food is ALWAYS worth it!The service is exceptional, and overall a great country experience π€
The food was so good. And the things I bought were so pretty.
Always love to stop at Cracker Barrel. The food was good but not quite as good as it used to be. In the early to mid-2000s it was great, above average but now its about average. It was Thursday evening I was looking forward to the special of the day, turkey platter basically Thanksgiving on a plate its usually delicious comfort food. When we were placing our order we were informed there was no dressing available for the platter. Who wants a turkey platter with no dressing? I went with my old standby meatloaf dinner which was good but nowhere near as good as it used to be and a significantly smaller portion. It was only 4:30 pm they were not crowded at all plenty of seating which is also unusual, it was nice not to have to wait. My son-in-law was very pleased with his meal he had the Sunday dinner. I have also had their southern fried chicken dinner which is also delicious. There were no rocking chairs or checkers on the porch. No pyramid game on tables. The experience was just different this time. All in all a 9 out of 10.
Ordered to take out dinners broccoli cheddar and chicken what I got was in that picture that scrap piece of chicken very small sum crustacean on the other side with very little to no cheese or broccoli and the manager says this is whats portioned out this isnt my first time eating at Cracker Barrel in or eating food wheres the customer service Im waiting???
I have always enjoyed going there for breakfast and dinner. Good experience.
Food good. Portions are small now. Didnt have or ran out of what we wanted. Food got cold quick love the new tea. Not enough gravy for fried steak mac and cheese very small portion 3 bites it was gone. Bigger portions you have to pay extra that b.s almost $50 bucks for 3 to eat. WHAT HAPPENED TO YALL?
Used to be good. Now you pay more money for tiny portions. I got like a tablespoon literally of hashbrown casserole. Waiter said their downsizing portions of food now. Definitely not worth the 10.00 per plate of food.
My sweet potatoe was served with marshmallows that were not melted at all. Very disappointing and the waitress made an excuse because they were busy.
-5 Star: Welcoming Customer Service- Not too Pricey (Average $9 Plates)- Food: Great Variety! All-Day Breakfast, Choose from Sirloin Steak to Fried Chicken, Burgers, Tilapia, Salads, Many Sides (Mac N Cheese, Dumplings, Fried Apples and Okra, and more)Chicken Pot Pie taste Great! And is a Large size.Mac N Cheese also great, Try out the Coffee and Latte selection, good flavors.
Cracker Barrel has always been a favorite of my family. Just moved to El Paso, and were excited to try it here even though its a 40 minute drive. We were highly disappointed π. Food was bad, husband had to request new pancakes because his were burn and cold. Were sadly not going back. Oh! And it was a Friday! cant even imagine how a Sat or Sun will be.
Fantastic orders come out quick and correct wonderful management and staff. Food is sooo yummy and they have a fun little store if you have to wait. Best Pancakes in town.
Loved it!! Cute shop as well as good food.
First time eating there. Delicious, filling. Wholesome. Im going back
Love the fried turkey, mash potatoes with gravy, stuffing, corn. I love eating here, everything that I have eaten here is delicious!
We had the worst food, worst service tonight. The chicken and dumplings were horrible. 8 of us went together. 4 of us never got our French fries with our meals. One of us ordered a bacon cheese burger, which they brought out without bacon and then brought the bacon out 10 minutes later. Ray, the manager comped 2 of our meals and took the drinks off the bill. This place used to be one of our favorites. Its completely off our list now.
Always good, good food great service and the management is OUSTANDING.
I went and had lunch on the 27th of September 2021 with my mom. The food looked like it sat under the hot lamps for a while and tasted like it was in the fridge for a couple of days. Mashed potatoes could of been used as a door stop they were hard. My moms chicken was hard she could not bite it. Everything was cold but the plates. When brought up to waiter and cashier I felt like they did not care. It was a big disappointment, will not go back.
The food was good but a bit cold when it got to us. It did seem to take quite a while for us to get our food.
Food was fantastic and so was the service! Stopping through on our way back to Texas and really enjoyed our visit. The Manager (I believe) was so friendly and made our visit, especially our son Evan who had so much fun. Thank you again!
I have only been twice here and I rate them #1 in town. Main reason is very tasty food. They serve big portions. Amazing service. Awesome store. I have got beautiful jewelry and many other good products.I am going to be a regular customer and I recommend them highly.
Theyre insanely good at making the food look delicious but having it somehow taste terrible.
Cracker Barrel is still one of my favorites. Our server was good-humored and took my teasing well, In spite of having NO GRITS & NO STRAWS, we enjoyed a goodbreakfast. Covid has hit so many businesses. Im glad they are still here!
Would like to give a very big shout out to Diego! He was awesome as well as Gwyn, thought I lost my phone and they could not have been more helpful. As other employees in the store but did not get names. You calways count on Cracker Barrels being clean! Great place to shop and eat as youre traveling.
My roast beef was excellent. My wifes hamburger steak was terrible, too dry and chewy. Her side of loaded sweet potato was cold, the onion were raw, not sauteed. Expected better.
As always, very consistent, comfort food. The food was hotter than normal and I absolutely LOVE that. My belly was so happy after a long trip. Our server didnt come back to refill our drinks and that didnt make me happy when a soda is $3 but hopefully she was new. The ladies at the front got us a drink to go and that fixed it. Teamwork....
.Decided to try it this morning. The hostess was very friendly but from the moment we were seated the male waiter with dark hair and a pony tail was absolutely the worse. Not a single hello or good morning, and he had the worse attitude ever. So the food comes ughhhh. It was a total mess. We pretty much left it on the table and paid for it anyway just to avoid conflict. We called the manager Melinda who was very apologetic and a good listener which I did appreciate very much. $60 bucks spent and still ended up at McDonalds for breakfast. SMH
I have gone to this one location in El Paso many times and they are kind the food is good but you will have to wait on your own table and go get your own drink your own napkins and your own ketchup and mustard and mayonnaise basically the service sucks.
Wife enjoyed the chicken fried steak. I nourished myself on a totally awesome chicken pot pie...
Passing through El Paso and decided to eat here. I got the roast beef, my husband got the chicken fried chicken (which they say is their best seller), & my daughter got the southern fried chicken. Food was cold when we got and very bland. The chicken fried chicken had very little sawmill gravy. The roast beef was a small portion, too. On top of that, the service was horrible. The waiter forgot to bring us our biscuits and cornbread that come with the meals and the extra side we ordered. We couldnt find him for about 10 minutes after we got our meals and we reminded him of our biscuits and cornbread and it took him another 10 minutes to bring them out and still brought the wrong amount. He also didnt refill our drinks at all. By the time he got our order correct we were done eating and done with the service so we just asked for them to go.
Delicious food, excellent service, and the store has so much merchandise to choose from. Love this place. Definitely a must.
Ordered takeout 3 hours ahead on a Friday morning. When I arrived, I was informed part of my order was still being processed. I said no problem Ill just do some shopping at a local supermarket and Id be back. Once back I called and Erika who was answering the phone was extremely rude. She kept telling me to repeat my name 3x slowly so that she could understand it. Its just your common Spanish name but ok. After waiting for my order for about an hour after pick up time I finally received it to find they had not added the main dish. I called again from the parking lot and had to deal with Erika again. Her attitude towards me when explaining the situation was demeaning. She placed me on hold for so long I had to go into the establishment. Once in there I explained my situation to the manager on duty which was very accomodating and professional. I didnt end up getting what I originally ordered but a substitution of it. It was for my sons birthday which I promised him to buy him a catering amount of food since he loved Cracker Barrel. In total I ended up waiting close to 2 hours for an order placed 3 1/3 hours before. There was a brief emergency back at home but I was stuck at the restaurant trying to get what I paid for online.
Excellent food. The menu ranges from classic breakfast items, to a Steakhouse quality ribeye. The food is down home sized and very good. The service is small town friendly. And the gift shop is wonderful. Old time treats, jewelry, clothing and home decor goods. Ive yet to see anyone leave disappointed or hungry.
Great place... Nice gift shop...i recommend trying their different sodas and the chicken fried chicken was on point π
I had the chicken and dumplings they were great. Also had pinto beans and they were excellent.
Due to covid pandemic only allow a certain amount of people. For a party of 5 we waited a bit of an hour which is average anywhere else. The young lady taking your name & info on your party was pretty rude ad if she doesnt like her job or is not happy there. If thats the case look for a job elsewhere & dont ruin peoples day because unhappy. We got to our table & menu is VERY LIMITED. The server Julian was polite & somewhat made up for the young lady up front rudeness. The food portion is like real small. Hashbrown casserole was like 2 bites. My wifes eggs had egg shells in it. We brought to Julians attention, he apologized & offered to have remade. We denied because we thought something worst could happen. Again Julian apologized, but not his fault since hes not the cook. Hope he informed someone but doubt it since no manager came by. All in all not worth the time & money. Then again its all business & they use the pandemic as an excuse
Food was good, but service was a little slow and there wasnt that many people.
I really enjoy this place. Its always a nice experience.
Busy Sunday public coming out after being on pandemic alerts. Masks still good. Country store still continues to show good sales.Service is still working on improving to better the customer experience. Practice makes perfect eventually. Food service is not easy but really a respectable job.
Great place for eating, but wouldnt recommend breaded porkchops. They were very dry and didnt come with gravy. I had to ask in order to be able to eat them. I did love the fried okra and biscuits.
Chicken fried steak good also mac cheese w/ bacon !!
Usually the food is good, however not so much today. My wife and I asked for scrambled eggs but we got what appeared to have started as eggs sunny side down and somewhere in the middle they realized oopse they should be scrambled, mixed them up a bit and served them. The eggs were still slightly runny, gross looking, and bland. My order came with a sirloin steak which I ordered medium-well. Apparently they dont know what that means. The steak I received was essentially part rare and part medium-rare. Seriously? My wife asked for bacon, she got bacon alright. The bacon was also not fully cooked. I got biscuits with my order which appeared to be Pillsbury biscuits. What a disappointment.
Love the breakfast at CB! Make sure to get on the wait list using the app. Then just walk to hostess station once you arrive so you dont have to wait THAT long.
Great food as always. The server was friendly and accommodating.
Had poor customer service. Had dinner with my family today. When we received our food both my mother and i were missing one of our sides. We informed the waitress and she went to get it. We waited a while before the waitress returned to inform my mother that her side was no longer available as they ran out. At this point we were about half way done with the meal. I asked for my side again and she went back to the kitchen. I never did get my side. When we requested the check, we told them not to charge our sides as we never got them. My mothers order was adjusted but mine was not. We went to the cashier and informed her of the issue so she called a manager. The manager made the excuse that the price is the same if i ordered one side or two. We discussed this for a while as i ordered both sides that came with the price my meal but was only given one, literally one third of my meal. After a lot of back and forth, she reduced the price by $0.50. The manager had a terrible attitude and the reduction was ridicules as my meal consisted of one patty, steamed broccoli and the missing casserole, so as stated one third of the meal missing and the manager believed the equals $0.50.
We went for breakfast and were seated quickly. Our server was attentive and helpful, I wish I remembered his name, he was great. The food was wonderful as always.
This place has great food and service was excellent. The place has a gift store before you go in to the restaurant... I love the items they have. I recommend this place .
Great service clean not crowded tasty pancakes and good company to share
Its easy to forget aa good restaurant when you live far away from it. Visited Westside Cracker Barrel Old Country store and diner and definitely was very satisfied. I ordered the lemon pepper catfish with green beans and macaroni and cheese, wow what a pleasant surprise. It was delicious, cooked to perfection. I asked for the biscuits and corn bread basket as that is one of my favorite starters. I will make it a point to comeback and order a different menu item as it is plentyful and i can attest all food is really good as is the service. Keep up the excellent work CB!
I had a breakfast meal and my son had the lunch menu. The only concern I had was they were out of chocolate milk. And the server took a minute to refill our drinks. Other than that, good food and service
Checked in through the link in my email as instructed. Waited for an extremely long time and for associate to bring the order out. After so long, I called inside. Finally they checked me in. Food was cold. I was assured by the server that brought my curbside order to me that it was checked and confirmed still hot. Very disappointing and unsatisfying. I will certainly think twice before ordering from here again.
Had a Sunday dinner and the service was outstanding, food was better than I remembered and the menu was changed. The changes to the menu were very professional and food items were easily found. Also, the food portions appeared to larger than the last time we were at Cracker Barrel. I certainly hope ALL Cracker Barrels have made these changes as they are fantastic.
They dont even qualify for any Stars anymore thats how bad it was the pancakes were rubbery I told the lady but they didnt care
It was the first time ever going to cracker barrel. Its a great place. Loved it.
Sure was wonderful being at cracker barrel with my daughter and my sisters we had a excellent waiter good job Adrian
Stopped by here to get some good ole Cracker Barrel. Order fish and chicken and 20 minutes later the manager comes out saying that the fish is frozen. Thats fine, Im grateful for the honesty but Im worried that the chicken and sides will get cold so I asked him if theyll still be warm. Manager says yes and I substitute the fish for homestyle chicken. As we wait another family stopped by telling me that all of their food was cold. Yikes. We get the food and our food is not only cold but also gross. How do you go wrong with mac n cheese? The mash potatoes were also stiff and the outsides borderline crunchy. This might have happened because of the hour we got the food but this was my experience.
Long wait and crowded. Service was good but waiting times were not approximate at all.
0 for 3 on getting my order even remotely correct, or having any of the items I order.
Itβs been years since Iβve been to a Cracker Barrel, amazing service, outstanding food, exceeded expectations!
Had great breakfast with my son we both enjoyed full meals. Had been long time since eaten there. I think it was my sons first time. Like country store got record player and Beatles record.
The food was excellent and our waiter was awesome π there was just a slight problem with flys, but I guess its to be expected right now.
We were asked to leave because we did not have masks. We were traveling and did not have one with us. We will not be gracing this business ever again.
Alrightt service. But amazing food!
Best hasbrown casserole with hatch chile on top yum! π
Long wait, fine, understandable. Not fun trying to flag down service for refills and items ordered.
One of my favorite places to brunch when on the Westside of town. During the weekdays they are still busy but minimal wait. There was no wait for me at about 10am on a Friday. Service was fast, food was fast and tasty. The server made several helpful suggestions including Grandmas sampler which was off the menu. Warm rustic country decor with a gift shop to match.
Gave a 1 because everything we ordered was not available. We ordered 3 Monday specials. 30 minutes later we were told they run-out, and they were making a new batch that would be ready in 30 more minutes. We waited and then were told they werent going to have any at all. We were asked to pick something else. We did but by that time we had to take it to go.
Our server Vicente was extremely nice helpful always kept us in formed never had to flag him down always was johnny on the spot with sincere gratitude food was also on point. Gracias Vicente!!
Went for my cousins birthday, the first bite into my hash browns had a big onion and that spoiled my breakfast however the waitress was very nice and kept the coffee coming
Had the #1 breakfast platter. Waiter kept forgetting things. Over all the food was good.
Terrible service that took 1.5 hours to get food that was cold and tasted old. We have had better times here but its gone down hill.
The waiting was over 1 hour and half . The pancakes were cold and the rest of food wasnβt the best. Biscuits were hard and cold. Itβs the last time I will have a meal there.
