This place is great. A different menu than most Mexican restaurants and also delicious shakes. I had the El Crunchy which was so good. We also tried the Birria Fries, the meat was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I definitely recommend it.

Paid like $30 for two tortas combos. The steak has a very good flavor but the milanesa a bit dry for my taste. The combo came with Pepsi fountain drunk and seasoned fries.

We got the California torta and the chocolate chip cookie dough milk shake and both were absolutely amazing. The bread was delicious. We will be coming back and bringing our foodie friends to try this place.

I have heard really good things about this place but today it didn’t fit the bill. I going to let it slide because it was close to them closing but the food was bad. The roll tacos were over cooked and did not taste good. The Pinche Torta meat was tough. I normally give a place 2 chances but I doubt I go back since it cost us way more then we planned on spending.

Great Tortas. The milkcheiks are amazing as well. I ordered a burrito and though it wasn’t bad, I felt that the Tortas had more flavor and even looked visually appealing. I enjoyed the Tortas more than my burrito, but I will definitely return to try the other items. I’m a green sauce guy, not a fan of face melting hot sauce. Definitely recommend their shakes and Tortas. Comfort food done right. Can’t believe I’ve never been here before.

Have been here a few times and never seems to disappoint. The birria fries were delicious. Plenty of food for the price! We finally tried one of the delicious shakes, be sure to drink it there or on the go so it doesnt make a mess in the car.

Unapologetically the best tortas & shakes in town! The staff was friendly and the food was beyond my expectations. I ordered a torta sandwhich called La Negra which has a traditional mole and tastes just like the one I get in Mexico. The shake I got was the Nutella and it looked exactly like in the pictures... beautiful. Very inventive with the Mexican ingredients I must say! Finally something different than your typical Mexican food joint. I will be coming back for more.

Please follow my posts I review a lot of Mexican food from El cajon all the way to Los Angeles...I told the staff that they could check their review tomorrow Im not a pretentious person or anything, I gave a four star because I only ordered a torta and I have not ordered any of their actual Mexican food yet,Im sure I will love their Mexican food and then I will update my review to a five-star,So far I have ordered a torta and here is what I think of this sandwich,As you can see in the photos my kids really liked it I loved the flavor and the carne asada was pretty tender and typical of what you would expect,If you see the photos you can see that its a pretty big sandwich, Im not usually fond of things that have a lot of bread but if I was in the mood for bread I would have absolutely loved this torta,it was beautiful in appearance and did not disappoint when I bit into itThe bread was moist crispy at the same time buttered I believe on the outside, and definitely large enough for a grown man to be satisfied,HOT 🔥 SAUCEGreen: this mild sauce seems a little bit fresher than most green sauces I have had I could have drank 10 oz of this stuff! my favorite dish with green sauce is rolled tacos 😋Yellow: the yellow sauce was by far the most flavorful it really had a hot punch to it, I believe it is a habanero sauce I cant wait to have this on a bean and cheese burrito, definitely one of the best flavors in sauces Ive had in El cajon!Red: typical red sauce but like I said again a little more flavorful than most I cant wait to try this on my carne asada burrito with guacamole and cheese...Upon entering the store the staff is very friendly they dont seem too busy yet but Im sure the El cajon community will start gravitating toward Las Pinches Tortas,I cant wait to try their carne asada burrito beef tacos rolled tacos bean and cheese burrito carne asada quesadilla carne asada chips carne asada fries 🍟 and Pollo asado burrito which are the seven items that are family typically gets from any given place,thank you guys for the torta I look forward to cruising back and reviewing your other food, and please be reassured I typically dont give anything less than a four or five star if I dont like certain foods I just dont review them I want to guide people toward positivity and good things because I love the El cajon community and the small businesses that make this city thrive!!!

Had the Cubano. One of the best torta sandwiches Ive ever had. The pork was excellent and the beef milanesa wrapped it up nicely.

Wow- what can I say- the ube drink was fantabulous! I truly enjoyed the food. Every bite was delicious. The restaurant is very clean and ambiance is delightful. Worth the drive from Eastlake. Reasonable price, plenty of parking and very pleasant staff.

The torta was ok. I got the chilanga. It was good but it was expensive. It was really big they dont have any personal options. I didnt feel like it was worth it by myself. Unless accompanied probably not coming back.

So much good food, so little stomach. Everything looks good. The Burritorta was a lot but I finished it. The Gansito Milk Shake was to die for. Definitely going to make it a regular stop.

I cant give this one of my usual honest reviews, but I will try.The meat was salty, fries under cooked substantially.But, once I got past the saltiness and undercooked fries, the torta was delectable. The bread of choice a bollio roll was honestly a nice surprise, and made the experience much better as it absorbs any excess liquids from the salsa which was very good.I really wanted to give this place 5 stars and give photos. Maybe next time I come things will be different.This is worth a half hour drive personally speaking.

I visited this spot recently and it was awesome! The atmosphere was bright and festive. The staff and the service was great, but most importantly the tortas were some of the best Ive ever had. I order the California Torta and also the Cubano. The Cubano was my favorite because of the three meats. The hot sauces are so goof too! Their hot sauces is a salsa verde has some kick, which I appreciate. My friends had the chile relleno torta and the fish torta. They had all positive things to say about them. Please give this place a visit and order a shake if you have the room.

Omg this places !!! Amazing ! Shakes are definitely a sugar comma after but delicious. Tortas are delicious 😋, my family (of 5) and I have been here more than ones. We have tried the monstrous torta, la cubana, el chavo, la negra,milanesa fries, birria fries, spicy shrimp fries and cant remember what else. We are trying to try every on their menu.

Always on the hunt for some delicious chilaquiles! These are by far my favorite! Crunchy, saucy, fresh cheese, spicy and did I say crunchy? Soooo good! The best part of all, super friendly staff. We were waiting on one of our friends and we got some delicious molletes on the house! Must try the salsa macha. They also have vegan options 👏👏👏

The food is great.There is no doubt about that but the reason I am writing a review for this family owned restaurant is because they messed up my order and fixed it and that is some thing to recognize and applaud them for. I felt really bad for calling to complain about their mistake but they made me feel better about it because of the way they responded and how quickly they fixed it and you can’t say that many restaurants will do the same. No questions were asked they simply apologized and assured me that they would fix my order. I give them an A+ in customer service!

We walked in thinking we were going to get a tasty torta. First of all it smelled like a dirty stinky bathroom but we still wanted to give the food a try. We ordered two tortas one was a Torta ahogada and the other was asada with chorizo.Let me start with the asada with chorizo. The taste of the chorizo was off. It seemed like it was old. The asada meat was non- existent since the chorizo over powered it. The torta ahogada was drenched in a tomatoe sauce that had no flavor. I know that a torta ahogada sauce is supposed to have a distinct flavor made with spices. The sauce had none. We should have just thrown away our $27 and some change that we paid for the food. We didnt eat the food really, most of it went into the trash.Then when we went to grab a table we noticed a big roach on the floor. Also the bathroom smell was very strong.We will not be returning to this place. There prices for what we got were ridiculously high. We were very disappointed since it had good reviews. Our experience was totally different.

This place is AMAZING! Not just for the food but for the service! Ive been here twice now and the girl behind the counter Maria is wonderful, she made me the best shakes and was super friendly and helpful with the menu. She recommended the Birria fries and they were outstanding!

Very Bad Customer service, we seen this restaurant on YouTube with mexi-papa.I wish he knew the type of restaurants hes representing. Rude girls in front all in a hurry trying tp get everyone taken care of with no customer service at all. Especially the girl serving the food and making shakes. They were getting everyones order wrong, and than they have an attitude towards mostly all customers.We drove from San Diego to El Cajon to have bad service and that ruined the food experience here.0 STARS

Amazing!

Tortas are very tasty. The Diablo sauce is delicious but exceptionally spicy. The Mahi Mahi taco was crazy delicious. This is a solid taco shop!!

Omg!!!! I had the birria fries and my kids had the asada fries and they were delicious. The fries alone were well seasoned. The asada was on point and my birria was awesome. My kids could not eat all the half order and were happy to take left overs home. I on the other hand ate it all. And let me tell you Im full but not overly full. Omg the food was wonderful and I plan on coming back. My guy got the torta cubana and he has helf over because he could only eat half of the torta. We all left happy and full. Thank you we will be back!!!

I went by El Cajon and got a quick late night grub. The people are friendly and place is nice and clean. Service is good, not rushed. I ordered a surf n turf burrito. The spiciness of the surf was superb, it felt as the meat was marinated well. I would recommend giving it a try 👌

They started to give out free Family sized meals to nominated families to help with the struggle during this time. You dont see to many people in this area come together like this and its wonderful that they are making in a difference. I will always promote them, not only for that, but because their food is great too.

Pros: the fries taste great. The tacos taste great. The milkshakes are really really good. Friendly and quick service.Having said that, this restaurant misses the mark on many small details that makes the experience subpar.1 they give fries without ketchup nor without a fork2 the tacos taste great but had very little cilantro, three tiny pieces of chopped onion and no salsa. Tacos need to have onions and salsa. Frankly i hate onions but I’m a unique mexican in that sense.3 drinks were given to me without lids during a pandemic.4 the milanesa on the fries was super dry and burnt.Overall the food looked great tasted great but there were so many little misses that it brought the experience down. Luckily for them these minor annoyances can be eliminated with experience. And that’s really what i think they’re missing. I’m confident that in a year i will rate this place as 5 stars. And i will be coming back. Bon appetite

The food was good the only thing I didn’t like was the mustard on the tortas it overwhelms the taste of it. I was more disappointed of the price point of the avocado sauce $2.60 for a little 1 oz cup.

.. First time in this location worst experience dry chiken dry potatoes and meat did not taste fresh at all food could have had more flavor .. Price did not match food and no excuse for current situation of covid 19

I also ordered a torta ahogada to split with my husband but to my disappointment it was not big enough to share. It was only enough for one person so he missed out because it was delicious. I did save him a bite & he agreed. The torta ahogada comes with a sauce on the side that you pour over. The meat was delicious, it tasted like carnitas.

I gave 4 Stars, its my first time and I want to try a few more items on the menu before I give it my full five stars. I really enjoyed the La Jefa torta with a very special sauce Chipotle and habanero it was totally fire highly recommended those 2 sauces. The torta La Hot Cheetos very delicious.. My 9 y/o is a foodie he knows his food and couldnt believe he couldnt finish the whole torta..He is already planning a breakfast date with mom to try the Breakfast menu. My 7 y/o had the carne asada hot Cheetos plate and she was in food heaven... We are planning to come back soon on a Thurs I heard they have a special going on 😉

The price point was too high for the quality of the tortas and lack of complexity of the flavors. My family and I got some of their staple tortas to give them a try and all 4 had the same flavor and stale bread. Bolillos are super cheap, so for you all not to stock fresh ones daily is irresponsible! Especially when y’all have tortas in your name. The food and beverages are instagrammable for sure, but don’t go expecting a quality meal.

I wanna say that something was going on the night I went. They had a bunch of orders backed up and some angry customers. But what can u expect, this place is DELICIOUS!!! Despite the stressful situation they were in the staff was extremely professional and remained friendly even after a couple of the customers were beyond rude.Stuff happens in the food business and customers should keep their cool.I had the Mazapan and the Reeses Pinche Sheik, WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!

I loved this restaurant since they opened & me & my family would always come. However, today I went to the restaurant & there was mold on my tortilla & I ordered in advance, got to the restaurant after speaking with the cashier & was told the order will be ready within 6 mins. I ordered for the food to be prepared a little later than my call & she said no problem we can start the order at 2:15. I got to the restaurant around 2:30 & my order wasnt even done. I loved this restaurant, but I think Ill have to pass for any future business.

This is a clean restaurant with great service. I had tortilla soup that was excellent! Also had two different tacos that were stuffed with meat, yum. Food was delicious and very authentic.prices are moderate. I highly recommend

My family and I were in there for maybe About 4 minutes at the most by time we noticed, the nasty looks & attitudes of the girls at the register. We were never greeted When we walked in the door I had to say hello in order for them to even acknowledge us and they had already looked at all of us in the eye and never once said hello! Awful customer service! Won’t be coming back.

Not the authentic Mexican torta

Waiting for my food, too slow they need more service for it not to be slow and have the food ready to serve, food is really good it’s just service is too slow.

Come with an appetite because these sandwiches are HUGE. I got the baja fish sandwich and it was meaty and firm. Highly recommend but I would ask for less mayo next time. I also got the brownie shake as Im a big brownie fan and it did not disappoint. Tried my friends fries. They were good as far as fries go. Would go again.

Yum yum yum! We got the jefa with no onions, and the torta de adobada. Both combos with fries and drink. The meat was seasoned really well for both tortas, and the portions were HUGE! The fries were also seasoned just the right amount. I highly recommended this place.

It was my first time here, I was expecting it to be just a torta place after the name. Their menu is extensive to say the least. I ordered the Pinche Torta since well its the name of the place.Overall great experience I will come back for sure and continue to explore the menu. My tia took me here today after having this place recommended to her. I was so excited to try the vegan options. We went for pambazos & loved them!!! When ordering our food my tia pointed out their mazapán milkshake which sounded amazing. I opted against one but said I’d return if I liked the food. I was craving it so bad I went back & just finished trying two others as well. After waiting quite a while for two milkshakes we realized there had been a misunderstanding (not sure if on my end or from the person taking my order). I was sure I had ordered a mazapán milkshake but had gotten a ganzito one instead. I asked for a mazapán one & offered to pay for them both but they refused & gave it to me for free. I tried the mazapán, gansito, & ubecorn milkshakes. The gansito one was too sweet for me but I will definitely be returning for the other two & to try more items from the menu. Friendly service, my only complaint is that it was quite a long wait, I feel, for milkshakes. Regardless, I’m glad I have found a new go to place😊
