Owner was super sweet. The thing I went here for (marshmallows filled with ice cream) had been discontinued, but he made me something very similar that was delicious. All the flavors were unique. I got the cookie monster ice cream with toasted marshmallow fluff on top(game changer) and my boyfriend got a fruity pebbles cone with cereal milk (tasted just like the milk at the bottom of a cereal bowl!) And salted caramel.

This place is amazing, so much great stuff, you gotta try the Fairy Cloud Burrito ice cream genius! 3 scoops wrapped in cotton candy!!! Flavors are awesome, they even will crisp your marshmellows!

This place is great. Maybe a little intimidating for a first timer, but its simple: you choose a cone, cookie for a sandwich or pizookie, then you choose the ice cream and the toppings. I came in with a group of 4 and everyone loved their choices. I was especially pleased with the Ube ice cream and the waffle cone. Really smooth, sweet and a little coconut-y. Delicious!

We drive about 20 mins just to get ice cream from this place, you don’t see your regular flavors that you get at any other ice cream places, but the flavors they have are even better, and even though they have a lot of costumers they have plenty of tables and chairs, there’s plenty of parking space even though there’s a Starbucks right next to it.

Its all about the aesthetic. Super cute. Staff are helpful. The ice cream itself isnt the best though.

Came here when it first opened, and loved it! Its been a while since Ive been here due to COVID and all, and can say I am really disappointed this time. I was looking forward to the thai tea, even checked online and their online menu hasnt been updated. Got there, no thai tea, got milk tea, the boba was super hard. Also got a mango slush, oreo shake, and strawberry lemonade. All the drinks were mediocre. Definitely not impressed. They also got rid of the cute light bulb glass cups. Place really is only good for ice cream. Definitely disappointed, rather drive out to Convoy for real boba.

This ice cream place had unique flavors and some cool desserts. Cant wait to go back and order some of their goodies.

Drove all the way here and it was closed down. no notice or anything. Google stated they were open until 9:30 pm on a Saturday. the doors were locked and lights were off, all the tabled and chairs were stacked up. I was looking forward to this place but sadly was disappointed, with any notice.

Amazing ice cream shop in el cajon. Theyre open til 11 on fri/sat and we arrived at 10:50. We apologized for out lateness and were responded to with absolutely not! Thank you for coming in!! Amazing attitude and immediately made me happy to be there. Prices were reasonable and the flavors of ice cream were fun. Great selection of other sweet treats and hand mixed drinks. Loads of seating and decent parking as well. I would absolutely recommend Cookie Monster to anyone looking for sweets served with a smile.

Make sure you know exactly what ice cream you want and don’t describe it to them because theY ended up making me a shake that was super milky n nothing like the blue ice cream with Oreos as I described. So after trying the shake I asked the young lady if I could get the 2 scoops n pay the difference but no she told me no and wanted me to pay for the 2 scoops. N Disregarded the miscommunication that happened with her mother. If only they were Like Starbucks who doesn’t even question the customer, n simply makes the drink happily pleasing everyone.

Came in and tried the coffee and cookies ice cream with toasted marshmallow on top and the ube ice cream with frutti pebble macaroon. Paid around 11.00 for both with is definitely reasonable considering all the options they have on their menu and their location. Staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. This place would do really well in a different city like chula vista or clairmont. They now serve boba too so thats a plus.

I had the Taiyaki cone with nutella and ube/milk ice cream and it was absolutely delicious. Their macaroons and ice cream flavors are fantastic, and they look cute too! I highly recommend this place! Especially if you want to try the banana walnut and ube flavors. Ill definitely go again!

I was so disappointed with the service, they were rude and the store was filthy. The trash can was literally overflowing and the floor was covered in food and napkins. $4 for so so ice cream + 1.50 extra for a cone + 1.50 extra for the toppings. My daughter got one panda cookie for a topping, and my other daughter got 6 pieces of mochi. When we first arrived we were greeted with two signs in the doors saying they were out of lightbulb glasses which were grammatically incorrect and misspelled. I was so excited to try this place after all the photos on social media. Congrats on misleading the public.

Hosted a birthday party here for my 7 year old daughter, it was an absolute success! 30 people, 16 of which were kids ages 5-9, they LOVED the Ice Cream options, toppings and especially the fish cones!Location is clean, nice, well staffed. The ladies working were friendly & efficient. The Owner, John and his wife went out of their way to accommodate us and even brought in extra chairs just in case! They were helpful and kind.I couldnt recommend this place more, for a quick treat or a fun night with the family - we will absolutely be back in the future.

Wasnt too busy. Had good costume service. Very clean. I recommend the ice cream burrito it was very delicious. Only 7$ for 3 scoops a topping and it was wrapped in cotton candy.

Really good ice cream. I had the pistachio which is my favorite and it was very good. My friend had the coconut pineapple and she said it was delicious. However the Ambiance was rather cold, no pun intended, and the customer service was mediocre. I may try it again just because the ice cream was really good but it wasnt what I expected.

The ice cream is great and I noticed they started adding more flavors since I was last there. The cake batter ice creamcone was SO yummy. The staff was very friendly explaining everything which is a plus. The pricing may not be the best but I understand that these are crafted delectable treats so it comes to no surprise for the price you have to pay to enjoy these items.

I really dont get the long lines or the high prices here. I got one scoop of birthday cake ice cream for $4, which was honestly not even as good as what I could get in the grocery store. They do some creative gimmicks, like wrapping your cone in cotton candy if you want, or putting marshmallows on top and toasting them with a torch. And they have flavored cones you can choose from, which is cute and all, but really doesnt make up for the genuinely bland flavors. $20 for 4 small ice cream cups that were really unimpressive means Im not going back.

Honestly I love Cookie Monster ice cream and I have a hard time writing this review. However their sign says theyre open until 11. My husband and I showed up at 10:30 and they had already stopped all the chairs and closed everything up, we still there waiting at the counter for 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledge were there. Then they told us they were closed. If their website says theyre open until 11 and their sign says theyre open until 11 why should they close 20 minutes early? Its extremely frustrating and honestly they should stick with the hours that they have posted and not have two teenagers decide to close 20 minutes early. When I asked them why their doors werent locked if they were closing early because they were still supposed to be open for another 20 minutes the staff decided to speak in a different language to each other and I could tell by the way they were talking but they were speaking poorly about us. It was just disrespectful. They have good ice cream. But horrible service. Even under the new management.

I had high hopes for this place put it fell flat on its face.Theyve got a great concept in craft ice cream but they need to work on their craft. The ice cream doesnt have that creamy taste youve come to know and expect...its more of an icy taste.The flavors were very muted too. As other have said, its mostly a milky flavor as opposed to the intended flavor.Based on the size of lines they had when they opened vs the lack of any line tonight and the reviews so far, theyre going to need a lot of help to turn things around.

Went on a Friday night and wasnt very impressed. They had 6 flavors of ice cream and were out of almost everything else. Yet the two flavors I tried were very good. Pistachio and Coffee cookie.

The staff here is Amazing, they gave me extra mochi and were very polite. Ice cream is great with all the different and unique choices. Drinks are good as well.

If you want visually appealing ice cream, by all means. The taste though, it tasted like bland, freezer burned ice cream. Do yourself a favor and stick to the tried and true ice cream parlors. Plus, the prices do not justify the product. We wont be coming back.

Very little toppings and flavors, but has lots of other stuff like ice cream filled marshmallows. I suggest The Grinch flavor. It is green vanilla with brownie. Hope this help.( btw it costs 3.85 one scoop and 5.85 for 2 but i suggest 1 scoop because thay serve BIG scoops.)

The first time I went, I tried it out with my 6 yr old son. We had a great experience on a Thursday afternoon. The second time, I took my whole family (10 people)to this fun new ice cream shop for my step-dads birthday in the evening. It was busy and the people behind the counter were working hard. We paid for our ice cream and my 3 year old goes to pick up his ice cream off the counter and accidently dropped his one little scoop of Cookie Monster ice cream (no extras) on the floor right in front of the register and the female employee that helped us. He was obviously upset (his big brother had been telling him about it and hyping it up for a week) and I look to the girl behind the counter to see if we could get a new one and she says Im sorry, youll have to pay for a new one. Thats our new policy. We asked to speak with a manager and she acted very uncomfortable with this and looked around at the huge line and at that point I just said Forget it and gave him mine. She watched it happen. I can understand if we had stepped away from the counter, taken a bite and dropped it but the poor kid hadnt barely layed his eyes on it yet! My whole family was shocked and disappointed in the way they reacted considering the amount of money we spent for all of us. Poor business practice if you ask me.

They did very well with the decor and social media advertisements. Eye catching creations that look great on IG... But do they taste as great as they look? Not really. Its not that it taste bad... Its just nothing special. Lacking rich flavor.If you want something pretty to showoff and dont want to drive into San Diego or Kearny Mesa, this may be a great spot for you.

The place seems to offer a lot of different items, and I asked how is a customer suppose to learn about all the stuff they have, and the clerk just said I have to go to Instagram to learn about the products offered for sale. Extremely poor customer service. The owner/manager needs new staff or needs to teach them how to treat customers. I wont be back!!

Ok, dont have cookie in your name if you dont have any other cookies besides macarons. I mean how could you make cookie sandwiches like a place like Baked Bear when you dont have cookies? This place in fact doesnt know what it is. I mean, is it an ice cream parlor, drink shop, coffee shop, what is it? Also, you have music playing loudly while playing a video on the TV at the same time. Its a mix of a bunch of different noises that dont mix, choose one or the other. Also, if youre gonna play radio on the speaker, play commercial free radio. Take cookie out of the name and call it something like Ice Cream & Stuff.
