Multiple occasions I’ve been sold expired produce— overall lack of quality control. Will be going elsewhere
24 hours, you just got to love it. Cheap and I barely have any employees ask me if I need help. That could be negative star by some but for me I know where everything is in this store. Plus they are busy and dont need to ask me, if Im finding everything alright. Grocery shopping for me is a blast and Ill take my time. Store is clean and produce is usually better than other places on my opinion.
Best Cub in the Cities. Gotta cater to the Rich People in Edina so they have a lot of really fancy stuff and great selection outside of the meats and produce. Their produce suffers for it, but I just go elsewhere.
This definitely isn’t the best Cub I’ve been to. I purchased a bag of lettuce, when I arrived home I realized there was a large hole in the back of the bag. I called the store and was told that I simply needed to take a photo of the SKU number and did not need to bring the back in. When I arrived at the customer service desk, I tried to explain to the cashier what happened and she immediately cut me off and informed me that she would not honor what I was promised over the phone. She didn’t even listen to me or provide any solutions, very rude. I was finally able to talk to one of the managers and she did replace my bag but I won’t tolerate disrespectful employees, there just isn’t any excuse for that, ever. I won’t be going back to this location.
Not the best selection, expensive, and the cashier told me the sale items would be on sale regardless of cub membership and turns out i paid full price for everything. Annoyed cause i just spent $20 more than i was expecting. Tried to return things but the customer service line was so long.
Traditional Cub foods! Friendly employees, good selection of food, and this location is open 24 hours which I love!!
This is a nice clean grocery store but they were pretty cleaned out on a Sunday afternoon of many of the things I was looking to pick up. Im not sure what the best time to shop grocery stores is, but it was not 3:00 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon. The store was fairly busy but the checkers got people through the line pretty reasonably. They have a great selection of fresh fruits and veggies.
Clean and follows covid regulations on maintenance. At times see empty vegetable trays they need to monitor and refill things quick as it gets over. Many times i see expired juices available at the juice section specially Naked brand not sure why is that. They need to have continuous monitoring on food freshness
This is a great Cub foods. Clean and well maintained. The ready to eat items are better than most other Cub foods locations Id say. The staff are all friendly too. This isnt supposed to be a fancy grocery store though so all the people leaving whiny reviews should probably be shopping at Byerlys.
Want to give a shout out to Gabriel the cashier he is awesome and so happy all the time. He’s usually humming or dancing a little and always makes me smile. There’s another cashier that works here in the evening and he always looks like he just hates his job and his life. I don’t remember his name but you’ll know it when you see him. Some of the customers seem a little ghetto it’s not the fanciest of Cub foods in the metro despite Edina being considered a “cake eater” town. Those fancy Edina people definitely don’t shop here.
Employees are incredibly rude. Addressing customers in a polite way is very important, and I felt none of that today. Whomever was running your self checkout made me incredibly uncomfortable and hurt in the way she addressed me. Will not be returning.
Had a great shopping experience until checking out with a cashier named SID. He seemed polite until he started putting the next customers groceries down the same belt my groceries were on. I was under the impression that they flip to the other belt for the next customer. He barely have me time to even open a bag to start packing my purchased goods. When I asked he to not run the belt he just kept going and started mixing the next customers groceries in with mine. Very inconsiderate. This is why I don’t shop cub very often.
I just braved a quick trip to this Cub to check for a few essential items. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic man who was cleaning the carts - he took the time to ask me how my day was going and even introduce himself (from a safe distance). His name was Steven. It was welcome small talk after spending over a month in isolation. As I walked away, he was greeting someone else who was clearly contemplating in her own head whether or not she should grab a cart. Steven seemed to pick up on this as well and he reassured her that he was actively cleaning every cart and that she was safe to grab one if she needed it. I passed by again on my way out and he made sure to wish me well.I was very impressed at how optimistic he was in spite of the circumstances. His role is an important one, and to show up each day is noble, but to do it with that degree of enthusiasm? Legendary. This small exchange resonated with me and I wanted to be sure to recognize this employee and send major kudos to him, as well as to everyone else at Cub that has been showing up to work each day, putting on their bravest face and brightest smile to help the rest of us maintain some semblance of normalcy during this time. Your work is appreciated and does not go unnoticed!
Very friendly and professional staff. Its far above most grocery stores.
We shop this store almost weekly and cannot say enough about the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. If you cannot find something - especially with the great remodeling they’ve done recently - they don’t point you to the item, they walk you there. In addition, the quality and values are great! Our thanks to Steve and his entire staff. In this especially stressful times for you folks despite the chaos you make shopping easy for us.D&M
Clean, great products and all staff were wearing masks.
A really lovely fella who knew their way around a Morphe pallet helped me check out at the end. Made me wish I lived in Edina.
This is the worst Cub location in the area hands down. Better to go to either of the other locations nearby. Poor stocking and management. Twice this week I ran in to get a few things before work only to find no self checkouts open and only one line with a cashier and 3 people waiting with full carts.
I believe I was discriminated against by employee Joyce (cashier) and Alisa (manager) on 02/04/2021. I have filed a discrimination/bias report with the MN Department of Human Rights.
I’ve grown more and more uncomfortable shopping here over the past month as it’s not apparent that they are taking proper safety measures, including not one employee using PPE (personal protective equipment). I don’t know if blame falls upon corporate or the on-site manager, but it’s particularly reckless given the elderly population that shops here. Their shelves are better stocked than Target, but they should head across the street to see how a store makes people feel safe right now. Gloves, masks, and someone at the entrance wiping every cart for incoming customers. Nearly ever other store in the metro is doing this. This can and should be fixed.
INCREDIBLY RUDE MANAGEMENT AT THIS STORE!!!!A man had just been robbed in the mens bathroom.... I heard him yelling and ran to help. Management came and told me they were handling it. I wanted to stick around to make sure all was ok... Its always good to have an outside set of eyes on any situation, and if HE wanted anymore help.... Id stick around for HIM. WOW!
I absolutely loved this establishment, the manager was so kind.
I go to this Cub frequently, and a while ago I was chased out the door by a security guard wanting to check my receipt. I’m on my mobility scooter, and he’s charging after me like I’m running off with something! I’ve been here a few times, and they aren’t friendly or helpful. In fact they’re pretty rude
We have been going to the Cub on Lake and in Edina for the last 5 years. More recently to the one on 46th as well. The first few years were great. In more recent years, up to a quarter of all produce we buy either becomes moldy within a couple days, or is already moldy inside the package. We have provided feedback and spoken to managers but have not seen any improvement. We’d like to keep shopping at Cub but simply can’t justify it as we can’t eat a quarter of what we buy. For a company whose slogan is “Great Produce”, this is a big disappointment. We do not have this issue with any other grocer around the Twin Cities. Please bring back the quality you used to have. We appreciate the opportunity to return the food but this just shouldn’t be happening and isn’t really practical during COVID.
Disappointed that the bread aisle moved further into the store. I understand you want customers to have to go deeper into the store even when they just want to run in quick for bread. Also, when checking out I used to be ask if I found everything I was looking for. Now, in the middle of a disruptive remodel, I’m not being asked.
Great place clean
Exceptional value. The every mans grocery store. Not a huge fan of the meat section. There isnt anything wrong with it, I just prefer other grocery store butchers better, but I also pay significantly more. Cub is where you go for a fair enough price, sales, and a great place to pantry shop. The deli is good. Typical offerings, and above average deli meat choices. I like the olive bar alot.
Eric in pharmacy gets 5 stars. We were not able to locate the product I was looking for, but he was persistent and helpful and spent at least 10 minutes with me trying to find the product! He even stopped and asked the pharmacist...and helped the pharmacist, who was on the phone with a Doctor! Thanks, Eric! Love your energy!
Not bad, but definitely not good! Visited tonight at 8:30. First time customer. Could not sign me up for discount card. Could not scan a managers discount card for my order. Supervisor and checker had no clue what was on sale. Parts of store under construction. Checker was really bored and unhappy. Checker stood there ignoring me while I bagged up my order.I mean, I got what I needed. I guess I would come again. I would be ready to be disappointed, though.
There’s a certain manager that is not only rude to customers but so smug w the elderly ones. I have witness this manager w glasses a bit heavy set woman literally mumble under her breath things she shouldn’t be saying. She has a nasty attitude and truly don’t know how she has her job still. I just don’t see what you gain from being rude to the elderly or for anyone for that matter it’s your job!!! I will say you have 4 older women who are absolutely amazing and a joy to see literally everyday. This location is overall a great one to shop at unless you request this manager . . . . which I wouldn’t advise.
Staff is nice, clientele are........not great.
My favorite Cub to visit. I love my local Cub. I visit every week, grateful & thankful for the people who work here!
*Cons*It seems like a smaller Cub foods with less ethic foods compared to other locations.*Pros*This location is clean and maintained well it seems . The temperatures on the freezer and coolers always have been correct! It is easy to get out of parking lot!
Cub is excellent. Great pricing, fresh food, great deals, and staff that is excellent. My mom and I shop here for years and we experienced NO gnats on our food and it is great having a store that is open 24/7. The rewards card is nice because you can save lots of money on buying gas too. Cub is excellent and they keep their store very clean unlike other stores.
Pretty basic. Picked up sheet cake and it was dry.
No one is cleaning the checkout machine Its frustrating to see .....while other grocery providers are doing periodically . Associates are simply standing near self chexkout . Not hygenic.
Worst Cub EverThe Employees are so rude and disrespectful to the customers especially the people at the front end and they have moldy produceTerrible ExperienceNever coming back
Good deli and bakery, fresh meat and produce. Havent been for a while since 66th Street was closed almost a year. Jerrys franchise not a super value store. Nice store, what you would expect from Jerrys.
Might as well go to L&B at these price points and save yourself from experiencing the grumpy ogres they call cashiers here.
I hate having to double check for expiration date everytime I come here to shop. Too many time I purchased expired products off the shelf and there was an incident where I got some moldy mushrooms. The workers and staff here are nice and very helpful but someone needs to make sure that people arent going home with stuff that should have been thrown out.
Went to this Edina location for the first time ever the day after Easter as my usual Cub location had been closed for the holiday and they were not well stocked with the vegetables I needed that day. This location is amazing!! The aisles are clean and wide, theres a great place to sit and eat by the deli area, the check out lanes run fast, and every employee I passed looked me in the eyes and said Good morning!. They actually looked me in the eyes, which made me feel like if I needed to ask a question, they were ready and willing. Everything I needed was fully stocked, and to top it off, their rotisserie chicken was ready at 9:30 a.m. instead of 10, so I didnt have to kill time waiting for it since I got their so early! All the people behind the deli counter were bustling around but still made a point to look up at me and say hi!. Clean, spacious, fast, great Cub pricing, and a fantastic set of employees that make you feel welcome...... what more could you want in a grocery store! I will for sure be going to this location again and again! Even if they arent super close to me!
They have everything, and the best Patak’s (Indian curry base) selection I’ve ever seen outside of Europe. But seemed prices were uniformly 30% higher than another store that’s equally convenient for me. 6 eggs here costs the same as 12 there. Same eggs.Patak’s selection and good staff elevated this review from 3 stars
Great Store. Doing some remodeling so it will be fun to see how things look in a few weeksFriendly staff.
I like Cub but not when the Customer Service person makes six people wait in line 10 minutes while she helped one customer with some kind of lottery ticket (?) transaction. Never looked at or acknowledged the other waiting and annoyed customers standing in line. Never called for assistance. It shows terrible employee training and worse management.
Its where I do my shopping. Clean, great selection and prices. Also, I like bagging my own groceries, and I think that generally the checkout line moves faster as a result of the set up.
I enjoy the variety of tropical food available. Yucca, plantain, sweet potatoes, papaya, okrah, and other hard to find items
They have Apple flips there!!!!! I dont live in Edina, so Ill make a special trip just to get some Apple flips and/or cherry flips. A few times, I went before they had them out. Since I really wanted some, I kinda paced around the area and was hoping they might come out soon. Staff mustve seen me and asked if I needed help.. I told them how much I loved their flips and they were super nice with helping me out, and I got fresh warm Apple flips. Yes!
They just changed the design I liked it, feel bigger now
Ive been going to this cub foods ever since I moved into this neighborhood and I love this location. Wayne,Tom,Yuki and Juan are the best and theyre very friendly. In general I like how all staff members help their customers the best way they can. Keep up the good work
I think this is my favorite Cub. The lines are never horrible, or maybe I know the right times to go. got a lovely welcome to the neighborhood card for some money off groceries-- new one for me. Staff seems happy to help and I appreciate the smiles on their faces. No compalints
Great slection with many deals to be found. Fast quick friendly service even on days when they are busy.
I made the mistake this morning of leaving my credit card at home. Of course I did not notice this until I was rung up by Bill. He was more than kind and allowed me run back to my house and get it. He was not only was very pleasant, but my groceries were bagged when I returned!! He even added that if I was 20 (further) minutes away he would have popped the cold items in the cooler until I got back. A+ customer service from him I will return solely because of him. Again his name is Bill and I left around 5am.
I find that many items maked “sale”, I can find elsewhere at lower prices than CUB sale price. Often sale prices are higher than what I can find elsewhere for cheaper. My cheese is outragesly expensive. Not often on sale. However CUB had it on sale last week. Only this week the price is higher than the everyday price. Last week on sale, this week the price went up. What’s with that? Pricing needs to improve at CUB.
Went there and picked up a couple of things. The lady at the service desk was very friendly. They also had hand sanitizing hand wipes at the service desk which is one of the things I planned on buying.
Nice grocery store in the heart of Edina across from Southdale. The staff is very nice and accommodating. This location is not as updated as some of the others in the area. And the selection leaves a lot to be desired, especially with organic produce and bakery goods.
Just a good old fashion Cub. The shelves are usually well stocked
Good prices but they need to add different merchandise on gluten free items
Great combination of location, hours, selection and great sales prices. Strong staff!
Good for daily shopping. Easy to spot from the street. A couple of other stores at the other side of the parking lot.
I really like this store but when its busy rather the courtesy counter or regular checking out there never seems to be enough checkout personal to accommodate the large lines.
After todays experience I have decided not to go to Cub foods any more especially the Edina one. There is this staff named Tom in billing was too rude and literally threw my items after scanning. This in spite of asking him to not do that. He was also rude to another customer who was Asian and made the customer repeat several times making him feel shamed in front of others. If you dont like to serve certain group kindly display a board. We pay for everything we purchase.....
Good selection of food, nice variety good prices. They do a good job in a tough business. Not sure im liking the re-organizaition. For example the light bulbs are now located next to feminine hygiene products. Given the amount of space they have to work with, that makes absolutely no sense.
Convenient located. Nice staff. Older, worn out store. Great pricing. Usually pretty nasty hot pizza area but makes up in awesome service.
Of all my Cubs ...in my area, ...this is one ...if my least choices because of location. But on the other hand, its location is what gets me in there from time to time. Being close ..to Fairview Southdale Hospital. Friendly people. Clean atmosphere. Parking lot can be a challenge with busy streets, esp. at rush hour.
Customer service or even basic humanity skills are lacking quite a bit. Self checkout clerk, Brea, was rude and impatient during our interaction. She didnt take the time to listen to my request before jumping thr gun. Brian, on the other hand, was super polite and a pleasant person. 3 star because it is closer than HyVee, my preferred grocery store.
Pretty standard Cub Foods experience. Nothing to get excited about here.
My go-to for groceries.Great produce, great meat, great packaged-goods selection. . .and the best donuts in town too.
Although it is a good store and opened 24 hrs but the price are bit on higher side.
Within a mile radius we have: two L&Bs, an Aldi, and Super Target - all superior options (all for different reasons) I literally live two blocks from Cub, but unless I need an emergency essential, I do not shop here.Everything said below is true, but my latest update drops it from 2 to 1 stars for this reason. Every piece of fruit I have bought there in the last 3 months has turned rotten in a week (and yes it was refrigerated), mostly citrus. We also had a baking pumpkin that was bad. Its bad enough I wont shop produce anymore, period. Its crowded, the prices arent spectacular, the produce is barely average, the meat is severely overshadowed by L&B, the bakery always looks better than it tastes, their cheese selection is pretty horrible, and their deli is awful (and I cant stress that enough - I dont know what brand they buy but yuck). If its boxed/non-perishable I can usually find it cheaper at Target, and if its perishable the quality is so vastly superior at L&B I dont know why Id shop there. If I need it in quantity Aldi has it so cheap I really cant fight it. So many better places to shop.
Go here all the time. Dont have one bad thing to say about this location.
I enjoy going to the edina Cub foods on York ave.s.I am disabled, and slow mobility.i can ride the electric carts to make shopping easier.
Sometime hard to find a item you want if you can find someone they are good at telling you what isile its in
Good prices, great selction, make sure to sign up for the Cub rewards if you get fuel at Holiday, you can earn some pretty big fuel discounts up to $1.20 a gallon.
Love the wide variety of selections here. Almost anything you need to put supper on the table!
Great environment, great people, and good deals. Definitely recommend this place.
Is 24 hrs. I love....
Always clean good customer service. Low turnover in staff.
You know, I like Cub foods, but everytime I go there they have cops called to the store. I dont know if somebody is always stealing from there or there is some gung ho security guard, but I prefer to take my business elsewhere now, its turned me off from shopping there
Good service by the employees. Other customers seem entitled and not aware.
Its like any other Cub Food stores. Parking suck at this location because, no enough and too many smaller shops share it parking lot.
I am so upset. My husband just ran into the Edina store to purchase a pack of cigarettes at the service counter. When he tried to use the camel website mobile coupon the girl Pudga behind the counter got very loud and abnixious saying that it was a counterfit coupon and she wasnt going to take it. Causing a scene and really embarrassing my husband. Which than he just purchased the cigarettes and left. When he told me I was very upset. I Dont think it is ok for people to accuse and assume people are criminals. This is a very mobile world we live in and almost everything is done with phones. I think you need to not only train your employees better on up to date technology but on how to treat other human beings with basic respect. I go to this store a lot but Im not sure I will ever return and will have nothing nice to say about that location from now on. I went up to the store and talked to the manager on duty Rick who gave me the $2 00 for the coupon but didnt seem very interested in the fact that the employee actions were beyond not acceptable! The whole situation makes me very sad and upset that people this day in age still have very racially charged thoughts and actions towards others. Im not sure if anything will truly right this wrong but I think its of the utmost importance that people are aware of these types of issues.
Very good deals most of the time todays visit was great had a great experience
Very clean store lots of product great customer service
Nice to see DecoPac for graduation. 24 hours a day, close and good prices make it a staple.
Good service and selection. Bakery department is great.
Full service grocery store with deli, bakery, and a pharmacy.
Expensive than other grocery stores, but its clean and well organized.
Location is a couple blocks from our house. The employees are great too.
Cub used to be known as a discount grocer years ago along with Rainbow. Not sure who they are now. It is really expensive and not worth going to. They are pressing Organic stuff, which I agree with, but not when you cannot afford it all. Most grocers, Cub included, are not worth the trip. Hy Vee, Whole Foods, Byerlys, and Kowalskis are ridiculously priced. Will not shop at any of them. Walmart and Aldi are my only viable options. Maybe one day grocers will realize that fleecing the public is not as important as crushing the public.
Good service, nice produce, good meet and some bargain prices.
Long line is what I dont like
Huge selection on everything even. Fresh produce and always clean and friendly if you dont have something they will find it easily for you.
Pharmacy always very helpful and friendly. Many of the clerks know me by name and ask me about myself and my husband!👍😊
Cub is my preferred grocery store, and this Cub is pretty standard.
Great fruit and vegs. i like how this place is clean
Great food selection. Prices are higher than Target but less than Lunds.
Good deli food, pleasant customer service, pleasant atmosphere
Your basic super market. A bit dingy outside the produce section.
Good variety of food at a decent price.
