I am disheartened by my experience here and extremely discouraged to return to this location. It seems the level of service here has dropped significantly over the years. The receptionist is argumentative and rude in my opinion. I arrived early to my appointment as asked, completed insurance information and questionnaire. After waiting in the lobby and realizing they are busy and running behind, I politely asked to have my appointment rescheduled since they are behind. The receptionist argued I was not early. I stated I arrived 11 minutes before my appointment time, she argued that I am suppose to arrive at that time to fill out paperwork. I then stated we are almost 10 minutes past my appointment time and her response was then it was the patients before me. I understand that there may have been an issue before me, but respecting my time would have meant letting me k is that at check in. A simple “I’m sorry about that, if you’re willing to wait a few moments longer” would have kept me in the building. Instead I was met with a high level of resistance and lack of professionalism.it is not the customers fault when an organization runs behind, and I am not okay with the entitlement that I as a customer should be accepting of poor service. I scheduled this appointment almost a week out and have a very busy schedule, respect of my time is all I ask. I’ve currently scheduled another appointment for 2 weeks out, i am uncertain if I will return.

I had a really smooth and nice experience. Dr. Shlafer was awesome. He was very patient and through in checking my issues and guide with the resolution. Another good experience I must mention that in other places I felt a push for selling an eyeglass even if I didnt need it. But the staffs were really helpful and honest in providing suggestions. From service and customer experience perspective it is a five ✨. Just deducting one for non medical reason.. the restroom was not so clean.

Also, as I walked in- he took time to welcome me and make sure i was taken care of. With Covid, you don’t always get great customer experience . This place was great and i recommend it to others.

Optometrist Ivan showed me how to put on my contact lenses. Super professional, while still making me feel very welcomed. Dr. Board also answered all my concerns and ensured that I understood the results of my appointment. Overall a very enjoyable visit. Will definitely be back to this location again next year.

It was great my first appointment but my 2nd appointment when I went to just check my contacts and order more, it was the worst. I was trying on contacts because the ones they sent me home were not working well. The optometrist told me to go in the lobby and wait and see how they feel. The real excuse was that he was actually going to help another person.So I waited 1 hour in the lobby just to order contacts when my optometrist should have been transparent with me and told me if the contacts that got sent home for me dont work, there arent going to be others that work as well and offered me to order it before sending me to the lobby before wasting an hour of my life.It gets worse. I go to order my contacts and this worker name Kenny got all hung up because I said okay I will be getting 6 months total of contacts Kenny says no, 3 months total. 3 months per eye. I said yes, 6 months total of contacts. He said no. I said to myself, Can I do math? He must have mistaken and thought I said YOU cause after that, he made a snarky comment And yes, I can do Math. Every time I asked a question, Kenny just looked at me like it was a bother.Kenny, it is 6 months total. If I have 3 months supply IN MY BASKET for my right eye and 3 months for my left eye, how many months of contacts do I have in my basket?I have 6 MONTHS total IN MY BASKET. 3 months for each eye. 6 MONTHS TOTAL. 3+3 = 6.I havent met anyone who blew everything out of proportion and escalated a situation that was so simple because all I asked was so thats 6 months total?

I went here to get my glasses repaired and this place has one of the best customer service i’ve ever experienced. Everyone there was so welcoming and friendly. Kenny was the one who was helping me and he was hilarious and was very knowledgeable. He was able to fix my glasses and made them look like they were brand new!!! I will now be coming here for my future eye care needs ! Thank you Pearle Vision in Edina!!

Great customer service from the moment I walked in. I found the eye doctor to be informative and friendly. I had AMAZING customer service from Kenny when purchasing new glasses. Kenny was knowledgeable, friendly, answered my questions and made the entire process quite enjoyable.

My glass frames broke; I really need my glasses to work and read, etc.! Thankfully, my Pearle Vision store was open. Amazingly, within about 15 minutes or less of my walking in the door, Melissa, the optician who helped me, had located some frames that my lenses would fit into and fixed them!!! I had replacement glasses at an affordable price, in nothing flat! This is just one example of the excellent experiences that I have had here since i started using Pearle Vision. It may be part of a chain of stores in the area, but the service I get from every single person (doctors, opticians or anyone else) is as if I were being tended to by the owner of the store. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

The doctor who examined me was excellent and VERY helpful. The exam was easy, comfortable and used the most up-to-date equipment I have ever experienced in an eye exam. The only drawback is the attempt to sell you eyeglasses when there is minimal need, and you could easily get away with off-the-shelf cheaters. I do not hold my examining physician responsible for that, as he is not directly involved in those encounters.

Alvin is your best employee, a bit annoying but very knowledgeable.Please kindly consider giving him a raise.He is the only reason I come back to your fine establishment.

Dr. Hanson was extremely knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. He quickly identified my problem as being ingrown eyelashes, and removed them. I am extremely happy with my experience.

Every time I’m impressed with the service by the team of this location. Dr. Sarah Board is very thorough and optometrists, sales and care team is super helpful... just to name a few: Banesa, Ivan, Hector, Jay, Kenny... They do everything in their power to solve any issues you might have with new glasses/prescription etc. and make sure you are completely satisfied as their customer!

I was told I needed progressives and was not told how theres no peripheral vision, you need to point your head at what youre looking at. Being an inspector of large equipment this would not work. The lenses were both scratched and the tech said since we were going to do new lenses we could go with trifocals. I got the trifocals which are great and I can see farther from left to right and the prescription was good. The problem is that these trifocal lenses are way thick and heavy and I do not think these are the thin and light, high index lenses I had originally ordered.

My technician and doctor were both terrific - good communicators, and very good at what they do.

I have been going to Pearle Vision-Edina for almost 20 years and today was the absolute WORST experience I have ever had. I hate that I had to even give a single star for this review. Upon entering the store, an employee shouted from the rear of the store, CAN I HELP YOU??!! I had to respond loudly for her to hear me that I had an appointment and told her I felt like I was yelling across the store. This was just the beginning. Their app for confirming appointments apparently does not function properly so the appointment that Ive had scheduled for a year was cancelled even though I confirmed the appointment. Or so I thought. Kyle, the manager, was the most unprofessional, unhelpful, prideful, rude person I have EVER met in my life and really doesnt like being told that. When I asked to speak to someone else, preferably a doctor, I was told he was calling the police and to leave. I again asked to speak to a doctor since he believed he was the most important person in the store. He approached me as though he was going to place his hands on me and I had to yell at him to back off after coming within 10 inches of me. Never, ever in my life have I had an experience like this. I waited outside in tears for the officers to arrive so I could tell my side of the story. He thanked me and told me he would speak to the store manager. I got a call from the same officer just to follow up with me and tell me that he experienced the same self-important, prideful, voice raising, unprofessional attitude that I did and if he were me he wouldve been way more angry than I was. You really cant make this stuff up. I will never set foot in this store again. Theyve clearly gone downhill in the staff hiring department in the last 20 years. There is WAY better customer service elsewhere.

Love Pearl Vision in Edina! I always get exceptional service - fast, reliable and friendly - every single time at Pearl Vision. Jeff and Alvin are the two people I highly recommend that you work with. Both are so upbeat and positive! Super fun to work with. Both have years of experience! On my last visit, I needed new lenses in a frame I purchased there last year, and lenses in another pair I had purchased elsewhere. Jeff made sure they were ready in less than a week and I was texted when they were ready for pickup.Smaller opticals? Unique frames? Maybe, but...recently, I purchased frames at a smaller optical place, and the experience was terrible. The employees were dreadfully snotty and inexperienced. Plus, due to Covid, I had to go back three times before I was actually able to get IN the store because they were always at capacity.Go to Pearle Vision!

My eye exam felt thorough and in-depth. I had a few questions answered and felt like my needs were taken care of.

The whole process with the store was uneasy. From time I picked out frames it was 10 minutes minimum before I was given a price. Price Point was very high even with discount price was still more than Ive ever paid. Was told 2 weeks wait but they are having people get theirs earlier. My 2 weeks came and went. Had to call store to find out it was extended till end of week. Had to call again to find out maybe another 4-5 days. If I had known it would have been a 3 week process I would not have ordered from them. Would not recommend this location to anyone. Especially since they never initiated a phone call to let me know of the delays.

The eye exam was good. Friendly staff. Great service. I am changing my review from 5 star to 2 stars. Although the exam was good, and the upfront service was great, after I paid my money for new glasses the service declined. I was getting a runaround for 2 months trying to get my glasses, and there was no resolution offered by to help alleviate my horrible experience with the delays. Every time I called in to check status I was told that it would be another week, and then Id call 2 weeks later to just be given a new excuse and a new deadline for when to expect my glasses. I was originally quoted 2 weeks, and after 2 months I requested a refund and I will never use their services again.

Eye doctor was excellent and discussed all important points and answered questions well.Also had good experience purchasing new glasses, they worked hard to ensuring that I got maximum insurance benefits.

I moved to the twin cities in 1989 and I do not remember what year I had my first twin cities eye exam in the 90s but Paul has been my only eye doctor and he is the absolute best. Give him a raise!!!

I went here today for the first time, switching from vision works. I got a new prescription and everyone was super nice! Dr. Board was the sweetest doctor and really amazing at her job.Melissa helped me to try on different colored contacts and made it so enjoyable! We compared many different colors and had really nice conversation throughout her helping me. She has such great customer service and it was so great working with her.Defiantly making this my new eye place, we were always being helped and the service was super fast.

Paul is a great doctor and I have a long history with him.

I had a rough start with Pearle. I had to change appointment times as they struggled to be able to tell me what was covered and what wasn’t. When I came back, Ivan totally redeemed them with great service and detail while helping me pick out frames. I’ve had good experiences here in the past, and I’m thankful the one negative seems like a small blip on the radar. Thanks Ivan!

This place is a joke. I ordered my eyes glass there but two weeks later I received a pair of glass in different color and design. They told me they were mixed my order. LOl. What a lame excuse. Avoid this place like a plague.

Dr. Shlafer was amazing. I have a complicated prescription, and he took the time to double and triple-check that he had it right. He used computer readings and the old fashion lenses in the drawer to make sure everything was perfect. Paul Shlafer is a fantastic doctor. I highly recommend him.

My son and I had eye exams. The exams were thorough yet very efficient/fast so we were in and out quickly - minimizing COVID exposure. They had very safe practices including masks, shields, and cleaning between patients. An excellent experience overall.

When I had an eye exam here last year, an optometrist told me that I had an uncurable serious eye condition that would worsen over time. The doctor recommended I start taking some protein drink to slow down the damage, and if I recall correctly, had some bottles in the room to show me what the product looks like.I recently made an appointment for a comprehensive eye examination and was told that the medical condition the Pearle Vision doctor diagnosed me with was not present and my eye health was normal.If the Pearl Vision doctor made an unintentional mistake in their diagnosis or there was some other reason for it, I do not know, but I find the situation troubling and will not be returning.

It was nice to see them cleaning the glasses after every use.

I have been going to Pearle Vision Edina for many years and have always received wonderful service. This past month, my dog got a hold of my glasses and well you could imagine what happened to them. I called Pearle and worked with Nicole to use the warranty to get a new pair of glasses made for me. I was worried that I would have to pay the original price but I was able to use the warranty. This made me so happy!!!! I just picked up my glasses today and they are wonderful. I am so happy that I have continued to use the Edina Pearle Vision location!! They are A+++++ in my book!!! I have been coming to Pearle Edina for more than 35 years. Today was my first visit with Dr. Board and I was really pleased. She provided more insight and explanations than I have ever had before. She did so in language and terms that I could understand. She explained what is happening to my eyes and sight as I continue to age. She is my “go-to” Doc from this point forward.

I’ve been going to this eye clinic for a few years. I called this morning to get a emergency pair of contacts. I had ordered some online as I moved to Wisconsin and couldn’t get to the clinic to buy some. I commute to work in Minneapolis. I explained my situation and they told me no, they can’t. I even offered to purchase one pair, just to get me home and until my come in the mail, wouldn’t even let me buy a pair! I just bought a box online, why would I buy another box? I’m a single mom with two kids, I can’t just throw out $120 for another box of contacts. My glasses are at home as well. I’ve had this happen in the past and I’ve never had an issue. I will never be going to this clinic again. They don’t care about anybody! I have to drive 79 miles home damn near blind... thanks Pearle Vision Edina!

I had the exam at a doctor’s office, but decided to try Pearle Vision for the first time to get glasses. I had a great experience! Sarah helped me find a frame I love, and some of her co-workers offered their opinions too. When I went to pick them up, Kyle was quick, friendly, and helpful in adjusting them. I brought my sister-in-law along the first time, and my mother the second. They both got their glasses adjusted as well, with new nose pieces, even though neither had bought their glasses there. My mother didn’t even have to ask; Kyle just volunteered! I’ll go back anytime.

WARNING - this clinic is not following the CDCs COVID guidelines or adhering to the Edina mask ordinance. Its unbelievable to me that a clinic offering a medical-related service cares so little about following basic guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID. I called in advance of my appointment to inquire about their policies, and was assured that masks were worn by all employees and customers. However, upon arrival none of the other customers were wearing masks (nor were they being asked to wear masks). Worse, I saw at least one store associate who had his mask pulled down under his chin the entire time. I raised the issue with the receptionist, who just shrugged and said oh, sorry, and could not have cared less. Walked out without completing my appointment. What a disappointment and complete waste of my time.

Kyle is an Amazing optician! With very litter information from us. Kyle knew exactly what kind of style, color, and fit of glasses to mail out to our daughter! The glasses were perfect and looked adorable on her!! I was extremely impressed at how fast, and accurate Kyle is! Great customer service !

Although all staff were masked, the I tried on frames that were then put back in the display after both myself and the optician had touched them. Same with items at the desk as we worked through my order. Wearing masks is only part of protecting customers and staff, and Pearle failed on the other parts.

RECEPTIONIST WAS RUDE AND CONDESCENDING, I HSD A APPOINTMENT AND THE WANTED PHOTO ID FOR A EYE EXAM. WHO ELSE WOULD SHOW UP AT 1120AM IN MY ASSIGNED SLOT, RIDICULOUS

Very professional and competent Eye Doctor. Answered all of my questions thoroughly. Will visit again.
