Experience was great from check-in to leave. Staff was very friendly and showed concerns for any questions along the way. Everything was explained thoroughly and I did not feel rushed. They also found me the best price on my contacts and glasses by comparing prices with insurance and different discount specials they have going on right now. I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely recommend this place to anyone i know.
Wonderful staff! I was struggling to find a pair of frames that was flattering to my face shape. Three staff members hand selected frames for me to try. After trying on each frame, the staff then helped vote between my top two choices. Also this is during Covid, so each frame that I tried on must be sanitized afterwards. Not once did the staff members complain about the numerous frames that I tried on. Instead they made sure that I left happy and confident in my purchase.
Very helpful and friendly. All employees were patient with me trying on so many pairs (which they clean after each person tries on). Vicky did a great job comparing options to find me the best deal on new prescription sunglasses!

I came in last week to finally get new glasses and as soon as I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by Teresa and Dave who took the time to help me explore different styles and patiently helped me choose two great pairs! I have been to other locations and this Lenscrafters is by far the best location and it keeps me coming back whenever I am in town. Their expertise, compassion and customer service are all well beyond expectations. I received both pairs extremely quickly and I can always trust the lab team, especially Jon, to produce quality work professionally and expeditiously. Thank you all for your hard work!
Very good experience all around. Dr. Nguyen was thorough and gave me an accurate prescription for my glasses. There was a good selection of glasses and my new pair was made within the hour. I would recommend this LensCrafters.
Went for a vision test and glasses for me and glasses for my son. All the staff were fantastic from the detailed vision test to help with frame selection. Ended up buying both prescription glasses and sunglasses for each of us. All of them made within the hour. Couldn’t be happier with all aspects of my experience here.
I had the best experience with this fabulous team. Jamie and Dr. Nguyen made my eye exam less intimidating than previous doctors I been to and were very kind. They explained the entire process as we went and answered all of my questions thoroughly. When we moved over to look at glasses Theresa was extremely helpful and kind. She took plenty of time to show my wife and I glasses that fit our needs and gave opinions when we asked which ones look the best. She also helped us relense a few pairs of frames and was very knowledgeable on what would be best for our specific needs. This was all around a wonderful experience. The staff at this location has always been helpful and professional. My visit today went very smoothly, since my most recent eye exam was done here, and my order was taken care in under 15 minutes. I wasn’t rushed at all, the staff was great - I just knew exactly what I wanted and I was able to do everything I needed very quickly.

Great experience filling an Rx and getting frames/lenses at the LensCrafters in Southdale Shopping Center. Associate Vicky was awesome + so helpful in finalizing my order. The complete glasses were ready for pick-up in 20 minutes! If I need to purchase new frames/lenses in the future I will be returning to this location.
I go out of my way to purchase my lenses from LensCrafters. The team, lead, Theresa, is absolutely amazing! I appreciate her professionalism and friendly customer service. The experience was great, I really want to highlight my great consultant - his name is James. He made spending $1,500 enjoyable and fun lol difficult to do with glasses. Very knowledgable, personable, and he taught me things other consultants have never taken the time to explain. IE: Upgrading to thinner lenses and explained why they bulge out past the frames. I hated wearing my glasses for that exact reason.I purchased a Tiffany and Co frame, upgraded my lenses, and ordered a 12 month contact lens package - simply because he recommended it. Ive been in customer service for years and he is hands down a phenomenal employee. Please give him a big thank you from me, I will be going to your store specifically at Southdale moving forward and referring everyone I know to James and your team!

Went there yesterday for a eye appointment as the eye doctor scared me to say that I needed to see an eye surgeon as there is nothing wrong with my vision.The staff Scooted me out so fast as they over charged me with there prices as I feel that they need to reimbursed me.I will not be back nor to recommend this location.I went back to my previous location as I was treated with respect and friendliness.

No complaints about my visit. Everyone did a great job explaining my options. My glasses and prescription safety glasses were ready the same day and both pairs were perfect.
I personally had a good experience, but my mom had to come back 5 times because the glasses they made her were done poorly, they kept re-fixing it but it took many trips and aa of now, they are still not working properly. we know its not the prescription because she has other glasses w the same prescription and they work great.

I am disappointed with Lens Crafters professionals. I will not return, nor do I recommend them.After my appointment my eyeglasses came in quickly, about three days after my appointment. Upon trying the glasses on I explained the prescription was wrong because I felt my eyes were crossing. The person that helped me explained that this might be due to the fact they needed to bend the glasses a bit. I am not a optometrist, but this certainly sounded like a poor excuse for not taking responsibility for the fact my prescription was wrong.They agreed to retest my eyes after much displeasure about the eyeglass from me. After the next eye appointment it was discovered that indeed, the prescription was wrong.I received no apology. I received no admittance to their negligence.Len Crafters will gladly charge hundreds of dollars, and happily coax upgrades upon the purchaser, but when a mistake happens, they also will gladly not take responsibility.June Oliver

Pleasant staff, friendly docs. Went in for a corneal abrasion (papercut on eye). They were able to help me right away as I was in much pain. They were very sympathetic, helpful, efficient. If I ever needed contacts or glasses I would go here.
The bad reviews made me think twice before going to this LensCrafters, but Im glad that I did. I had scheduled a Sat afternoon appt to get an eye exam - from the moment I walked into the store until I left with a great set of frames and a new prescription an hour later, the service was outstanding. I was immediately greeted as I entered the store by Teresa, who then became my personal attendant helping me through the preliminary exam, navigating me through the process of meeting with the optometrist, and finally picking out a perfect set of frames and fitting them. Service couldnt have been better, and with the new technology that they use to read the prescription from the existing glasses, do a preliminary check of refraction error, and photograph your retina without having to dilate your eyes, the whole process is amazingly quick and efficient. Cant imagine a better experience.
I dont know why other reviews are so negative. The receptionists were good. But thats really not whats important to me. The doctor is what counts. And Dr. Ngyuen is great. I like to ask lots of questions, and she is really nice, patient, and knowledgeable.
I will never ever go here again. The older guy sort of bald, with round glasses, I believe he was the manager. It looks like he doesnt know how to look at ones eyes. I felt he kept on looking down my shirt. Those wondering eyes. And also felt that they were pushing me to buy the most expensive pair of frames. And Im talking about the one at Southdale mall 2nd floor near bath and body works. Not the one that is inside of macys. In general the General Manager is just such a disgrace. I WILL GIVE THEM NO STARS AT ALL!!!!!!!!
I guess a lot can change in a year. Despite the bad reviews, I had a wonderfully relaxed and efficient time there. My glasses broke the night before, so I scheduled an appointment the next morning, they fit me in within the hour, everyone was friendly and knowledgable, the doctor was great, I was given a selection of frames that were all of my taste and a great look for my face shape, and they had me out the door with glasses made in less than an hour.Honestly, couldnt have been more pleasant.
My doctor was great. I had a very pleasant experience with her however, my trial contacts were not the best as I only kept in it two days of the whole month. After receiving my box with 6 months supply I was praying that would be a better experience then the trail ones and it wasnt. I opened one set only and probably kept it in for 2 hour at work before taking them off. I called and spoke to James but he was extremely rude and would allow me to speak with the Doctor when I requested to talk to her. I felt only she would be able to answers my questions especially after I spent so much money out of pocket to pay for these.I called a month later after getting back in town I spoke to a woman this time. She said they were no refunds since I opened the box so I had to spend another $311 for eye glasses instead.How do they expect someone to know if the contacts is a good fit for your vision if you dont try them???? Wouldnt you have to open it first to try it???Really bad customer service with no customer Satisfaction. Absolutely no service recovery offered. No apology for the inconvenience and no store credit to get my glasses. I wont recommend another person in my family or my network to use LensCrafters again. My husband and I have been using this company for a few years now too. Were not new customers. Terrible!!!

Eye exam went well. Dr seemed very knowledgeable. Found glasses I wanted. They had to be ordered - told 10 days. Im at 15 and still no glasses.
Very disappointed by the general demeanor of the staff here. Will never use the specific store and LensCrafters in general. Wrong brand contact lens was sent despite informing about prior problems. No apologies. Gave me free samples for remaining prescription as if that was done by the greatness of the heart.Mistakes happen with everyone and I understand that but being defensive and dismissive about it is what bothered me most.
They always help me out in such a kind manner, even on short notice.

Losst my glasses while out on my motorcycle. Stopped in and James was knowable and speedy in helping me get a new pair. I was back on the road in an hour.
Do not go to LensCrafters at Southdale and especially do not get Dr. Joel Wood for your eye exam. This doctor does not care about your precious eyes and no attention for the questions that you have. He will just go through the basic procedures that you can expect in any other eye exams. I had particularly one question i.e. my eyes are dry and if they had any tests that they would do there? Being a eye doctor you would expect some knowledge but nope all he said was we do not have anything here and there might be dry eyes center where you can go and get your eyes examined. And I had lens fitting which was $55 and he literally just asked me what brands I wear and pulled them out and kept on the counter for me to try it on. No questions like would you prefer some other brands or may be avoid contacts lens and wear glasses as I was complaining about dryness in my eyes. Also for pupils exam during the dilation part, he put in two drops and told me that I was good to go. That did not make sense to me as after dilation Doctor see your pupils, so I asked him what was the purpose of those eye drops? Then he was like Oh! you are not done, you can go and sit down in the lobby for 15 mins and I will call you back and exam your back side of the eyes after they are dilated.While I just had my eyes dilated and was feeling dis oriented, sales person in the lenscrafters comes and asks me if I wanted to get contacts or glasses today? I told him that I wear contacts mostly so I will be getting contacts and just want to see your price (which was stupid of me), I should have waited instead of asking him that. So he runs my insurance and gives me the number for a year supply of contacts, that number seemed high and I told him that I am gonna skip today and may be come back later this week to order them. He then asks me if the prices were high for me? I was honest with him and said what I felt i.e. yah i just want to see other places if I can get better prices. He then goes back to his counter and pulls out rebate and says that I can get 50$ off and gives my another total after the rebate. My eyes were very dis oriented at this point and could not see anything because of the dilation drops. I did not want to talk anymore with this guy as he was very pushy and wanted me to purchase asap. I just thought in my head I am just gonna get it, may be come back later to return them. So I pay the amount and as soon as I was done paying, he thanks me just the general thank u and goes back gets his coat and heads out, I guess he was being pushy and was in hurry to get out of there as it might have been towards the end of his shift. So please please please do yourself favor and go to actual real eye doctor and eye clinic place. I am not sure even the new prescription that they gave me is accurate. I can see perfectly with my old prescription glasses and contacts but from my visit yesterday, my prescription went up in both eyes and one eye is different than other which has never happened to me for the last 20 years that I have been wearing contacts or glasses. Please do research and find good doctor, I did this mistake and just want to spread the word that our eyes matter and we did not pay money just for nothing. ThanksFollowed up multiple times, also billing is not very clear. When asked how the Insurance deduction worked as per my insurance my exam should not have been charged and also for my contacts insurance should have covered well. Staff got confused himself looking at the bill receipt and told me that he will talk to his manager and send me the details/updated receipt and it has been past three months I have not got my receipt which I was supposed to use for rebate as well. Also they will say they can not email us the receipt after multiple calls.
I went to this site a year ago to get new contact lenses. The doctor at this office was wonderful, very helpful and personable. I ordered new contact lenses and was on my way, expecting to receive them within the next week or two. Two weeks passed and I called them, my contacts were not in. Okay... So I tried another week later. Still no contacts. At this point I gave up out of frusteration. Luckily I was never charged for them.I choose to go to the Rosedale site instead this year and I cannot speak highly enough of their staff! Wonderful doctors and admin at that site!Yesterday I received an email and post-card reminding me of my appointment at the Southdale site, really? There is no way I would schedule an appointment there again. I called their staff to cancel my appointment and was rudely told that it was a routine for their staff to schedule an annual appointment. I told them I no longer wanted to receive communication from their site. The receptionist said she would cancel the appointment and hung up. Needless to say I would NEVER recommend using this site! Heres hoping I dont hear from them again next year.
I was reluctant to change my prescription for glasses & contact lenses...however, my optometrist, Tamara Legg, from Lenscrafter Southdale Mall recommended that I give the prescription a try...wow...she was right and the new prescription has changed my life for the better...awesome...thank you Lenscrafter.
