I love this store! It has unique gifts, fun Christmas ornaments and decorations, great socks for a cause, and lots of useful things. The best part is everything you buy is Fair Trade! I never leave empty handed, and I always eat, drink, give, or use whatever I purchased.

Shop is so adorable - I’ve been twice in the past week. Perfect for buying gifts or a treat for yourself. The mission to empower hardworking women and men in third world countries is highly admirable. A must visit in downtown Durham!

Firstly, lady was kind at the front desk. Secondly, this is a amazing store with homemade trinkets and gifts from local and international artists. I absolutely loved it and will be back. I purchased a notebook, pen sleeve and a african proverb calendar.

I LOVE this store! The first time I went in I knew I would be back for all my Christmas gifts, and for shopping for myself! They have a rewards program where you get a check mark for each country from which you buy a product. Once you have 5 different countries represented (which is very easy to do with their vast selection of products) you get 20% off one item (they apply it to the most expensive item if youre buying multiple). Whoever is in charge of curating the actual products does an amazing job. The products are truly works of art. Lots of options for all the adults and kids in your life! Highly recommend!

This was the first time my sister and I visited this place since moving here 5 years ago. What an awesome place! They had amazing stuff for family, friends, and yourself! Treat yourselves and help support artisans at the same time! Purchases you can feel good about in a time when we all feel far away from each other.

Such a unique store with so many different items. One can spend so much time here. The staff is extremely courteous and well informed on all the products they sell. During these times they have provided a very safe shopping experience in addition to alternatives such as delivery, pick up and personal shopping hours. If you are looking to get out of the house now this is a place where you will be welcome and well taken care of.

Ive been following this store on facebook and Instagram for ages! I live about 45mins away so theres never a convenient time or day for me to stop by. They had made a post on Facebook and I had instantly fallen in love with a kitty planter from Bangladesh, I needed it! I finally had the chance to go today and boy was I impressed. Its such an incredible store supporting communities all over the world, with super awesome employees. There are several things I also wanted but I will have to venture back soon. If youre looking for a unique and meaningful gift by all means check this place out! I cant wait to go back.

They feature lots of linens and things from places in Africa, India and more. Im a huge fan of the oils! They have oils i can find anywhere else in the area. They even have a cool kids section in the back where they can sit while you shop. The store is sorta small but the layout is inviting. They often times have cool pop up shop events bringing the community together. The prices can be rather steep but you must remember that most all of the items are hand made and your giving money to a good cause.

This is a great little store! They have handmade goods from all over the world, many of which are fair trade. Also they stock these amazing sandals that are a base with interchangeable ribbon laces (different colors and styles) and will teach you how to lace them in store. Great jewelry, pottery, home goods, purses, and more. Ive gotten many gifts here and the recipients have always been pleased. Super nice and helpful staff, too. Great even just for browsing. Definitely stop in and check it out!

A great place to shop with a great mission- to help with free market selling, training, education and more for cultures in poverty. Christmas selection is amazing. They offer free gift wrapping but a donation for their service is always nice.

Ive lived near this store for over a year but have never had the chance to visit. I was finally able to this morning but cant say Ill return. The staff was not very welcoming to strangers but greeted their regulars by name. I walked in twice with no greeting, welcome or acknowledgement. I felt like Id wandered into a clique of unemployed socialites judging by the banter. I thought twice about supporting such a place but was delighted by the selection and couldnt find it online elsewhere. After spending close to a hundred bucks I had my very own Julia Roberts Pretty Woman moment right there on Ninth Street. No Richard Gere needed. Will shop elsewhere. These are the people who claim to support minorities at a distance but wouldnt offer them a meal at their own table. Smdisappointedh

Wonderful concept, store, and staff! When visiting Durham, I was taken to this store by my daughter-in-law. I was pleasantly surprised and wished there were a store like this back home in Colorado. Prices were shockingly low, given the time that went into so many of these hand-crafted products, and the variety excellent ❤️
