The owners of this fine place had me set with everything I needed and advice. It’s a Fully stocked store. I came in mid afternoon needing temp hair dye and some advice on application - the product, their advice, and the customer care they gave me were excellent. 5 starts.

Your regular run of the mill beauty store. A little chaotic but you can probably find what you need

Comfortable shopping experience at venue. Was not followed around. Venue offers discounts on a point system for stylists that doesn’t take years to earn. I purchase this brand of “Marley” hair for kinky/double-strand twists because the friction is not rough on the stylists hands and it’s quality hair.

This place is famous among my friends as the place to buy a fun wig for a party. Also a great selection of party make-up. Fun!

Not a very big selection of hair products. Its also not a very inviting or clean space. The front door is plastered with rules about not allowing bags to be carried around inside and return/exchange policies. The inside is dimly lit and the floors are dirty. Prices are kind of high for such an ill-maintained and small shop. The people behind the counter were not very pleasant. They made no eye contact and didnt even say hi. I wouldve had a more friendly experience buying from a vending machine. I dont see myself returning even though this beauty supply is in walking distance.

They are pretty nice here. I like that I dont feel like Im being watched like a thief even tho the area seems to give off tht vibe. I am used to tht in most hair supply stores but fortunately not here. This is jus my experience.

The staff here is very friendly which is great because often times beauty supply store workers can make you feel like criminals or unwanted in Durham. The only thing that I could say about this company that could be perceived as negative is that a more proper name would be beauty land, seeing the significant difference in size and selection from the beauty world on Avondale. It makes it very confusing to go to the right place as well since they have the same name but definitely don’t have the same options.

This store is humongous. Its like the Walmart of hair. The sales associates are very helpful. They have weaves, extensions, wigs, shampoos,conditioners,shoes, clothes and etc. If your local beauty supply store dont have it, this is the place to be because you would find it here. One day, I was looking at a hair tutorial and I needed a specific pack of hair called organique. I couldnt find it at the beauty supply store (that was two blocks from me) so i tried beauty world and I been there since.

Terrible 🏬 and not much selection here. 🏬 is pretty junky, small and is dirty. Selection here is pitiful. Every hair product in there is expired !!! Recommend Avondale Dr. location for the best selection.👎
