Very professional! Great customer service. My waxer was Patty- only on Mondays & Tuesdays currently. New Guests have complimentary service and I purchased the student pass pay for 3 underarm services and got one free! Underarms $25 each. The wax was painless and quick. Patty talked to me through it and loved how she was bilingual!

I am a college student at UNC and would go to European Wax Center in Greensboro at home. I always loved my experience there and so I decided to try out the European Wax Center closest to me. My wax specialist, Annette, was absolutely wonderful. She openly communicated with me the whole time and made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. SO sweet and SO friendly! I will definitely be back!!!

Today was my first time receiving a Brazilian wax and I came in very nervous & Carmen was so helpful as well as informative throughout the whole session. I left very happy with my experience, I could recommend this location a million times but Carmen really made such a great impression as she was so professional. I forget my current estheticians name but Ive been going for a while and have never had a bad experience. I know its a job that not everyone can do and still have a pleasant attitude, but theyve all been nice and understanding. She suggested i start exfoliating the area that gets waxed, which Ive never done before. Since I started doing that, the area has become softer and not as painful to pull hair from. Im thankful for the tips and not being pushed to buy their products.

Today was my last straw with this salon. I have been going here for several months now solely because they have a good deal for students. The waxes are good, but nothing to write home about. Especially when their customer service is so awful. I have waited over 30 minutes past my appointment times to get serviced; however, today, when I arrived 10 minutes late, I was called and told that if I had been 9 minutes late, they would have serviced me, and told me I would have to reschedule for 1 1/2 hours later. Not nearly a good enough wax or price to deal with this terrible service!

I got my first Brazilian done by Annette and it was amazing! She made me feel completely comfortable, she was quick, and did a perfect job. Glad to say I WILL be returning. If you’re thinking about getting one just do it! (and ask for Annette ;)

I visit EWC at Southpoint on a monthly basis for several waxing services. Leslie is my wax specialist and she goes above and beyond. She is very knowledgeable, helpful, and upbeat. The waxing experience is painless and its nice to be on a waxing routine. The center is meticulously sanitized which gives me peace of mind during the COVID-19 era. I always look forward to my reservations and I highly recommend this EWC along with Leslie!

The best Brazilian wax I have ever gotten in my life!!! Carmen was swift and precise, and had me out of there in ~15 minutes with a perfect wax. She minimized the usual pain of a Brazilian wax and made the experience extremely comfortable for me! Now I only go to European wax center and recommend it to everyone I know. Carmen is an angel sent from above, thanks to her talent and “mano suave” as we say in Spanish. She is delicate with your skin, and channels her many years of experience into every session while being very professional. You cannot go wrong with any service done by Carmen and I am truly blessed to have discovered such an amazing aesthetician for my waxing services!!! Once you go to European Wax Center, you never want to go anywhere else!!!

It was my first time and I really love how they treat the first timers. But the waxing hurts but she said it well get better as I keep coming. So with that been said ill will be go I back.

I just want to say thank you to Erin (my waxer) and the 2 ladies up front Tyeshia & Lorraine. I have gotten a wax from this location maybe two or three times since they’ve opened back up and i will say the two ladies that were at the front desk this go round was absolutely what customer service is supposed to be like. I wanted to get the wax pass the last time I was at this location BUT the ladies up front said NOTHING ABT A WAX PASS! I was kind of upset Bc I like European wax center and I wanted the passes BUT since they didn’t mention it neither did I. Lorraine checked me out this recent time and she immediately went to asking me if I wanted a wax pass, and I definitely went for it as Tyeshia had her back w the information I needed or wanted to knw. So again thank you ladies for the quick laughs we shared & and I’m happy that I decided to get a wax pass 😊

I have mixed feelings about this particular location, my waxer (Victoria) my past two experiences has been great and knowledgeable. Howeverrrr, the front desk staff is discombobulated, I was on hold for over 20 minutes just to change an appt time. I was then called back and offered a free wax by someone who was being trained- I took that offer. Two weeks later they called to cancel that service! I probably will not be returning to this location, way too unprofessional and aloft for me, smh.

Patty is awesome! She is quick, thorough, kind and professional. I went in for a free touch up because another waxer had missed some spots a few days prior, but after the 2nd appointment I left happy and booked my next appt (even got the prepaid wax pass)

Edit: I have been contacted by management from EWC and spoke with Shaniqua who sought to rectify the situation to a great extent. A for professionalism and I appreciate the offer of a refund and bonus points added onto my account.My wax specialist was nice but I was a bit shocked and daunted by the service experience. I was immediately ushered into the service room upon arrival, leaving me with no time to ask questions that I had in mind for the staff at the front desk. My waxer chose to do my upper lip first before the other areas I had scheduled, and then she asks immediately afterward what I do for skincare and if I see an aesthetician. This should’ve been asked PRIOR to the waxing, as it turns out that it is “highly recommended” to wait at least a MONTH after a chemical peel before getting any face waxing! This was totally unprofessional on the part of the waxer and EWC as this should’ve most definitely been discussed and disclosed to me beforehand. I’m now experiencing extreme redness and swelling from the wax and may have to see my aesthetician because of it, and/or as a last resort my dermatologist. Quite displeased and disappointed.

If youre looking for the next waxer out there, look no further than patty at the southpoint location! Waxing is painful no matter how you spin it, but going regularly can make a difference, but the best kept secret is the actual wax specialist! Patty is easy to talk to, an excellent multi-tasker, and fast! Ive been seeing her for over 2 years and I cant imagine going to anyone else!The front desk folks are generally pleasant and helpful, an occasional bad apple, but what business doesnt have those. It is a very clean location and normally runs on time!

I’ve been coming to EWC Durham since about April 2018...it took me a couple tries to find the right specialist for me, between being a picky person with sensitive skin & one girl moving, but I’ve been seeing Annette for a while now. She is AWESOME! Always bouncy and happy to see me, and super skilled at what she does! I definitely recommend her for waxing services! Super sweet and cheerful too, which is always a plus. The front desk girls have been really nice too; to be honest, that wasn’t always the case when I first started coming, but it seems as though some staff changes have resulted in great, friendly customer service. They’re super on top of covid-appropriate measures, which is also comforting to see.

This is a great EWC! I have been going to this location for 2.5 years and have had nothing but good experiences. The receptionists are super friendly and take the time to learn your name. I love love LOVE my wax specialist Sara!! She is kind, efficient and always does a great job. She makes me feel so comfortable and keeps me laughing during my appointment. I have been coming to EWC for years, and their wax is awesome. I have never lost skin like with home stip kits or even a fancy Vegas spa can do. To be clear waxing does hurt, but it shouldnt leave a scar. The experience and results do vary a lot depending upon your specialist though.

Carmen is the absolute best wax specialist! Today was my second time ever getting a wax and she has done both of them. She’s made me completely comfortable on each occasion.

Is this place still open because whenever I call no one picks up....I’ll be on hold for 15 mins and eventually it just hangs up on me....Either this place is closed or this is a waxing center without a front desk attendant which wouldn’t make any sense.

I will not recommend this place at all. There is always an issues with them. I had an appointment on Saturday, was 8 minutes late, checked in and the front desk person asked me to take a seat. A few minutes later, a customer was called in and at the point, the front desk person told me that my spot was given away... I called the district manager Laura Walkman, left her a voicemail and she never returned my call. I bought a one year pass unfortunately. Find a place that values you as a customer.******************************Laura returned my call today and she promised to address the issue at the store and her team. She apologized for what happened and also asked how she could make it right. I am glad she cared enough to want to take action. That is all I needed!

I have been going to this location for three years and have been seeing Leslie consistently every 5 weeks for the last two years. She is the best wax specialist I have ever had! She is careful and pays attention to detail (my brows look better now than they have in the past 10 years) yet is fast working. I get a full Brazilian each time I go, and Leslie gives the least painful Brazilian I’ve ever had. She does large swatches at once, gets the hair up the first time, and just all around gives an awesome wax. Go see Leslie if you go to the South Durham location. She’s the best!

SARA SALIM is the BEST esthetician in the game! I have seen her regularly for over a year, and I recommend people to her all the time. Not only is she professional and efficient, she is very knowledgeable of products and services that may be beneficial for me. She’s always smiling, and very personable. Sara is prompt when I arrive for my appointments and she is super efficient with her craft. Waxing can be a very intimidating experience for many, but Sara’s warm demeanor, competence, and experience make things very reassuring. She is compassiaonte and provides amazing customer service.

Go see Morgan. I selected her for my first appointment based on other google reviews and I was not disappointed. I was most nervous about getting a Brazilian wax but Morgan made me comfortable the entire time. I was very chatty (helps with the nerves) and she didn’t seem to mind at all. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly.

Great and quick service. Cassie is absolutely wonderful whether its eyebrows or anything else. Employees are polite and all in all, always a wonderful experience. Ive had my eyebrows done other places as well as here with other people and Cassie is the only one I trust.

I usually see Sara and was sad to hear that she is no longer at the Durham location. But, I do love EWC, so I got a Brazilian with Claudia today. Of course, I was a bit nervous since it was someone new to do that kind of waxing, but she was very kind and warm and kept the conversation going. I have received great service from a few different girls here, but once I had Cassie I was hooked. Cassie is super thorough, super quick, and also super adorable. She has a great way of putting you right at ease and helping you relax. I highly recommend this location and Cassie in particular for your waxing needs!

Ive been going to EWC for over 5 years at several different locations and my favorite wax specialist is MORGAN at this location. Morgan is amazing because shell talk to you the whole time, so it doesnt seem so painful. She also always gets the bunny tail, which several wax specialists forget. ALSO, shell wax your eyebrows on trend! You wont get super-thin 2005 brows with her. She waxes them so they are tamed but normal to bold. I cannot recommend her enough!!

I have been going to EWC for year and absolutely love it! It’s the only waxing center I’ve been to where my skin doesn’t have an allergic reaction to the wax. I love that I can make a reservation in most cities I’ve lived: NY, CA and now NC! I highly recommend Morgan! She is super professional, very fast and fun to talk to! I just went to EWC for the first time for my first bikini wax; everything about the experience was professional and comfortable. The entire place is very clean and all of the staff I spoke with were friendly. My technician was Morgan and she made sure I was as comfortable as could be given the fact that it was a bikini wax; she also explained a lot about aftercare to me without it sounding like a sales pitch for their products. Would definitely recommend and will definitely continue going for follow up appointments.

I’ve been going here for almost a year and a half now and have never had a bad experience- everyone at the front desk is lovely and I had the luck of having Leslie as my waxer for my first time and she is amazing!! She really pays close attention to detail and doesn’t rush any part of the process. She made me feel super comfortable and told me tricks to make the waxing less painful as well as after-care tips. I drive 45 minutes every time just to come to her and it’s always worth it!

Ive gone several times to the European Wax Center at Southpoint and Id actually rate my experiences two fives and a three all depending on the waxing specialist. The Wax Center itself is nice and clean and professional and they keep costs down by not making the facilities too fancy. Patty and Kim were both great and made me feel at ease and did a great job. Annette unfortunately left my legs kind of patchy when I got them waxed for the first time with her but I will continue to go back to either Patty or Kim.

Ive been going to EWC for years and just transferred to this location. Candace always takes great care of me! Super quick, great availability.. the girls upfront are always helpful and smiling! Ill continue to go back and shout out to the new management!!

I started going to this location earlier this year spending $50 - $120 every time. The specialist that initially would see me (Claudia T.) was very professional and attentive. Then, I saw Cassandra W. and loved my experience with her even more! After my visit with Cassandra, I liked the vibe with her so much that I wanted to schedule my next wax with her again (nothing against Claudia). The receptionist (red-head) did not seem to fond of me wanting to change specialist, though I am the one paying for the service.I called to schedule an appointment this week since I have an important event this weekend. I called and was given the run-around about scheduling me to get 2 services done the same day (note: I live 45-1 hr away from the closest location). The receptionist made me feel like I should schedule a time that is convenient for the specialists and not for me (who, again, is the one PAYING for the services). She first suggested I come two different times to get the services done separately. I really tired to work with her but I was not going to make the drive twice. So I told her to just schedule me in with whomever had availability in accordance to my availability (a decision that I would later terribly regret).When I got there, a new specialist (Nafisah S.) greets me. She seemed nice out in the lobby, but as soon as we walked past the doors to the back room, her demeanor became different. I don’t know what it was but I sensed a vibe of irritability as we walked to the room. She then proceeded to ask me questions like how often I wax, when was my last one (more of an interrogating way like it’s my fault if what is about to happen hurts more than usual). I answered “I try to come in at least every month”. She didn’t seem to believe or WANT to believe me (which was fine, I will come when my budget and time allows it).I asked her if we’d start with my eyebrows (since that is what I’d previously experienced). She seemed bother by a simple question.I understand different wax specialists have different techniques on how to wax and waxing itself is not the most comfortable feeling, but this person’s particular technique hurt more than usual. I strongly believe I have a high threshold for pain, but my experience with this person was insanely painful. She finished my eye brows and grabbed the mirror to show me. But she wasn’t expecting any feedback as she held the mirror up to me for like 2 or 3 seconds max. But it was fine, I let it go.I had kept my underwear on for the brow waxing. As she prepared the wax for the bikini wax, she turned around and gave me a “what are you waiting for?” look to take my panties off. At this point, I became uncomfortable. But I took them off. She then proceeded to explain that since I had not come in consistently, my hair growth would be “like starting all over again” which felt like just an excuse to not do a good job with equal or worst amount of pain. It did not make much sense to me but again, I just let it go. The whole thing was just simply awful. She was super insensitive (I feel like it was completely intentional), she pulled in my skin unnecessarily and numerous times (and I know this because it had not happened the multiple times I come in with other wax specialists before), and was incredibly impersonal. I attempted to start a conversation with her half way to ease the pain and just be nice (for all I know she probably had a bad day) but that was received awkwardly and rudely.After she was done, she cleaned the table I laid on in a overly cautious manner. I get it, someone else will lay on that after me so you want to be sanitary but she did so in a way of disgust and urgency. At that point, I just wanted to get out of there. Initially, I mentioned to her that I was running low on a product and when we returned to the lobby, she quickly grabbed a serum bottle and put it at the check it counter without even asking me if I’d like to take it (after all, I am the one who is PAYING for it). She then changed her demeanor in the lobby to Ms. Nice-and-Pleasant.Continued....

My wife goes here to get waxed, she said they do a very good job, later on I inspect it and its nice and smooth. My wifes friend suggested this place cuz she goes there all the time, her friend enjoys getting a full Brazilian front to back, and she said she enjoys to feel, to each their own. Definitely call ahead for appointments, especially if you get multiple Services done.

First visit to any of the franchise stores, so Im not sure whether I can attribute my experience to the location, time/day, etc. That said, getting in and out is a nightmare. One of the receptionists is impatient and, in my opinion, rude with another client. The room is clinical but my tech was great, professional, friendly and compassionate. If i had to rate the tech alone, 5 stars...the rest of the experience, a 2. I received the Brazilian and again, the service was fine. Price on point with about everyone else but your experience is clinical and if youre not lucky enough to find and book a regular technician, good luck with getting a great wax (this review was edited to capture 3 visits, same location...used the same tech twice. She left and got stuck with a different tech..will not be returning). You can tell the franchise is pushing for sales (beware of the product pimping at the end).

I use the European Wax Center everywhere I go and everywhere Ive lived: NYC, CT and now NC. They have convenient locations and I love using the app to schedule/reschedule appointments as my plans change.Now-I am extremely picky with who does my brows. I have thick eyebrows and I find that inexperienced waxers will try to make them thinner, or will accidentally wax too much. I had the same person do my eyebrows for 6 years when I lived in NY and CT, so when I moved to North Carolina 8 months ago I was terrified of finding someone new.I found Morgan via viva voce through friends, and I have been going to her ever since. She does a FANTASTIC job with my brows, they always look very clean & she never waxes too much. Additionally, she always has a smile on her face and honestly, she puts me in a good mood.The staff at the front desk are very friendly as well- and they never try to push any products on you (which is something that annoyed me at another location).Overall a great experience!!

I’ve had Candace (who moved to Texas) and she was awesome! I saw Carmen today and I have to say though I will miss Candace, Carmen was better! High recommend!

Unfortunately I did not have a very great experience here. My waxer was not a very soothing person, personality- or work-wise. She did not get all of the hair during my Brazilian and I was left with sticky wax and pieces of the strips still on my skin. She also complained about not being able to catch the hairs on my lip, so that was a waste of money as well. I also dont like how they schedule you with the same person every time. Sorry, but there are other lesser-known places in the area with better prices and better staff that will do a much better job.
