I love this store! I go here a lot because it’s on my route. It has everything here and has a lot of sales. Everything is always fresh and the best deals on fruits and vegetables. It’s a very multicultural store where you can find a lot of different interesting foods. It has a deli department with hot foods and cold salads and sushi and a lot of food you can get if you’re hungry or if you just don’t want to cook at home. It has a lot of European options which I love! Super great place with always great deals. There was a time where I bought candy and it was stale but I’d expect something like that once in a while from an ethnic store like that. Overall super happy with my experience here. The lines are usually long but that just means a lot of people love this store. definitely would recommend to do your grocery shopping here.

This store is called Save and Shop I would rename it as the Food which can kill you.I am a little bit skeptical regarding positive reviews here. Probably it from friends or relatives of those who work there.Here is the major problem with this store- stale, decayed food and illegal re-labeling with the attempts to extend the expiration date of products.For example, you could see sausages which sit on shelves for so long time that they started turning into green color, yet the label says that expiration date is ok.Sometimes employees forgot to remove old labels while putting the new ones. So you can see on the same product the old expiration date and the new one.Be very careful when shopping there. Check thoroughly the quality of food when buying. Because it seems like the store owners doesnt care about your health safety.

They have an excellent selection from all over the world at affordable prices. Besides regular grocery shopping, I like getting my lunch/dinner there. Cooking for one or two people makes absolutely no sense when you can have your food prepared by a professional and its always delicious, like in the old country my mom used to make, different every day, not to mention, very affordable! The new chef, whom I have had the pleasure to meet one day as he was arranging the food on display, Christian is phenomenal; he doesn’t just make the food taste great, but also, as the attached pictures prove, looks great! :-) So if you are of East/Central European descent or simply like to experiment with new, different and delicious things, there is really nothing comparable in the area!!!! They also have great sushi as well as traditional buffet selections. Needless to say, I highly recommend checking them out, I strongly suspect that you will not be disappointed!

Great prices. The hot food bar is incredible.Our favorite item is the homemade Polish rye bread w caraway seeds. Crusty bread!!

Very often prices on shelf and prices that you pay at register are different. Somehow you pay more at register. Always check if they ripped you off. Recently bought guacamole and it was rotten. On lid it said was packed day before. No way. Probably they replacing lids on old products. Always check the quality. Cheap store. You get what you pay.

I picked up a pre made BBQ chicken dinner. It was very good and the portion was enough for two.

I can get almost anything at this place. They save me time from driving around town just to get specific ingredients for a recipe. They also have a large amount of fresh produce to choose from; all at reasonable prices. The place is respectably clean and they have a helpful staff.

Great huge deli!!! Only watch out for soon to expire dairy products especially if the are on sale. Otherwise good place to shop!!!

If you are into cold cuts, this place has sausages galore, fine produce, and imported everything else, a must visit, for the gourmet and gourmand.

Great place for fresh produce and premade European favorites. The bakery is sometimes hit or miss, as I have had things I liked and some that were thrown out. I encourage you to try samples of the bread, cake, and others when out and available. They also have cute seasonal items out, rotating new merchandise from time to time when I visit. Cashiers could be more friendly, but its a cruel world, and I focus that Im there for food and value. Not the cheapest place, for that go to Aldi. This is more on the homemade side and they use real herbs, so of course the price is slightly more according to the higher quality. Yum!

Be aware always to checkexpiration date and smell the food, other way you might discover some surprises once you got home .

I am tired of Hmart in Napervilles trick thatvtgey put lower price tag for items & if I pay, their prices are higher than I remember. If I complain bout it 2 weeks ago, they said it was Mistake as Usual !!! Since they opened their business in 1982, for 39 years they Pretend Mistakes putting the right price tags and in the computer system !!! So I come to Shop & Save more often than before, and buy what I need.Not that many Asian Produce, but feel better than be cheated by Hmart !!! Nd I love many European products, and their Kitchen is so good ! And snacks are lighter than Americans !

Mask mandates not enforced at all. In a single trip there were multiple shoppers not wearing masks at all. Staff did not care, but at least they were wearing masks. Go to jewel osco instead, at least there you can be a safer where they seem to actually enforce wearing masks. Going here is asking to get covid. If you literally cannot go anywhere else, I truly feel for you and hope you stay safe. If you went and did not wear a mask. You are actively a terrible person. Masks are for the protection of others and yourselves.

Stuff is excellent, but meat, fish i do return at least 10 times a year. This year I bought twice meat, I didnt return, because it doesnt worth for me to go back in snow days and traffic. Im loosing money, Im not making dinner. Bad I cant attach picture but I did today what was In my chicken halal. I posted privat. I think its has to be limits for old meat. But this year I returned 4 times fish, octopus and chicken twice I didnt return because it doesnt worth my time. Its a lot of things I like, but fish meat Im it was last time I was buying

Sweets need to have a label and due to Covid please cover all breads(2 months later small bread still not covered) Carbonated water sometimes has no gas..We purchased expired beer which is a health issue.Hot buffet is great.

Everyone in the Chicago area knows that it is PACZKI day Feb 25th this year (2020) and I decided to take a trip to the Shop and Save Market on Lemont RD, Downers Grove, IL since some of the bakeries in the area are out of Paczkis and the Shop and Save does carry a lot of Polish Foods. They did not disappoint. They had Paczki being sold both individually and also in boxes with 13 varieties. Tried 3 different kinds - Raspberry, Blueberry and a custard filled. They were restocking when I was there with fresh ones at 4:00 PM so you dont have to go at the break of dawn like some of the bakeries. Also shopped around for other items while there and found a great selection of Polish foods.

Terrible service. I asked somebody if they had Clausen pickles, and they looked at me like I was insane. Like, a simple no would suffice my dude

They sell a lot of EXPIRED and bad products.Be careful when you buy from them. A former manager from Shop&Save told me that they don’t care about customers and products, they just want to make money. On Febryary 17 they are trying to sell you a Kefir that expired 2 weeks ago.

Great selection of so many foods and ethnicities. Only suggestion is that they get more electric carts. They only have 1 and I take an elderly friend shopping and weve had to wait quite a long time on several trips

They have everything what you need except good vibes. Lady in customer service could teach you how to be arrogant and how to act like a star to customers. During my visit, there was another happy customer complaining about their service. Coincidence? I dont think so! Rated 3 stars earlier but theyre going down... 1 star only because I dont have zero star option.

This place is a hidden gem for a grocery store. Prices are comparable or less than the big chain stores. The meat and seafood section offer a wide array of choices.

A great place to grocery shop. Huge deli with every kind of meat cheeses and salads you want. There is a salad bar and hot bar to go also fresh sushi. You cant leave without trying something. Good chow!

I like Shop & Save for their produce the most. Deli, meat, seafood, liquor and good as well. Why not 5 stars? The prices for dry goods are way too high.

Nice selection of fruits to choose from. Big deli, lots of selections, but usually a long wait to be served......need more people working the deli. Lots of ethnic and foreign foods. Small section of gluten-free items......could have more selections. The management is good, the stock people are good, the people working the deli and fish departments are good, the cashiers are not very friendly tho.

I wonder what they do with the cooked food nobody eats... I like how smaller convenient grocery stores like this have special items and may not have the mainstream veriety. It seems like there is more choice. I hope they know what theyre doing because I could wonder like I said...

Awesome prices and selection. seriously you can get products from all over the world almost any country you can think of they have stuff from. Wonderful staff. Smart layout. Great pre-cooked foods like soups and take-home dinners. The deli is what other supermarkets wish they had as a deli. Home cooked food made like your grandma made it. Hands down my favorite supermarket around.

I really love this store! First, its always clean. The deli department his HUGE. Tons of variety. Great selection of produce. I like the bakery however, during the warmer weather Ive noticed way too many flies and insects inside and around the baked good cases. For that reason, i no longer buy baked goods from there.

Fruit n veggies are okay but would advise to AVOID bakery at all costs!Bought a cake with mold! And this is not the first time to get spoiled or expired produce.Be very careful of the expiration dates when buying ANYTHING there!

1st time in this store. I grabbed a few items and was waiting in the 15 items or less lane. Two women and a middle eastern gentleman in front of me. A Muslim man behind the service counter right next to us called the middle eastern gentleman over and rang him up. I awaited to be called next as the two women were now getting price checks on a couple of items. The Muslim man walked away from his counter. He then returned and called a woman standing behind me over to ring her up. I said out loud Im next in line and he never looked at me. I then was able to put my items on the belt and a white gentleman behind me stepped over to the Muslim man and he said Im closed. The white man was now back behind me. I was about to pay for my items and the man behind me was now putting his items on the belt and the Muslim man called to a Hispanic woman behind the white man over to ring her up. The white man said over to him I thought you were closed? To which the Muslim man didnt look up. In my opinion THIS WAS A CASE OF EXTREME RACISM !!!! I will never shop in this store again....

Awesome store with special delicacies not found in other stores. Prices are reasonable. The deli counter can back up and you’ll have to wait for sometime before you’ll be served but that’s almost everywhere. Too bad there isn’t a closer location next to me.

One place you can get USDA lamb n goat. Halal as well which is hard to find at any big grocery stores. Good selection of fish and other seafood. Plenty of middle eastern and European stuff as well. Cant ask for more.

Most of the staff are super-friendly. best place to buy fresh produce at a reasonable price. This place also has a wide variety of international grocery items. Highly recommended. Most items are reasonably priced overall.
