I walked in wearing a mask and the front counter guy and stocker both were not wearing a mask. I walked up to him asking if there is a mask mandate in this store, he said yes, but we (referring to himself, and his stocker) are not wearing it. I left my basket on the floor to leave the store, the front counter guy, said “but you are wearing a mask”. I said “yeah but I choose not associate or give business to a store that doesn’t.”They deal in food, if they can’t be clean and hygienic by wearing a mask, then I how can I tell if the food isn’t expired or worse or reliable. I think for small business owners, they would not have lost my business. If the guy in the front counter hadn’t kept his mouth shut. It escalated the situation. I know I wear mask I follow the state mandate, I am the customer. My Mum and I have been going that store since 1990. I was very young. The old owners were amazing. It’s sad to see what it turned into.

I went to buy a small missing piece for my utensil and ended up in a heated argument with the guy at the counter. He was extremely rude from the time I walked in and decided not to sell the piece saying it’s not the right fit. I insisted that I will take it because I thought I could make it work. That’s when things started to change. He said it’s his store and he decides what he will sell and to whom he will sell. He threatened to call the cops when I asked him why does he keep it in the store if he doesn’t want to sell it. My little 6yr old was watching all this and I decided to walk away. Absolutely the last time I am ever stepping in.

0 stars!!! EXTREMELY RUDE and HORRIBLE customer service!!!!! We gave them business worth $450 (I wish I had walked out) yet no grace in behavior with their customer. The daughter of the owner was unjustifiably rude with us in her behavior when the conversation didn’t even directly involve her. If they keep treating their customer as such, soon they’ll be out of business. Go get a class in basic customer service etiquette. Looking at the other reviews it seems the rudeness runs in your character. Get well soon!! Be kind, don’t behave like losers.

I wish this store is better, it has all ingredients to become onePROS: location, huge store, well organized & clean. Smells clean as well unlike some other storesCONS: The sign is very easy to miss. They should learn from the Familia store next door.veggies are very few and is hidden somewhere in the corner. Bring it to the front. Always have in stock some essential veggies, that will increase your traffic.Asking quarters for carts is just not acceptable. I cringe every time I see that

Great place for Indian items in the south west suburbs. Produce is limited and mostly available on Thursdays. A bit pricey than Schaumburg Indian stores but lot cheaper if we buy in higher quantities. The utensils and handicraft items section has a huge selection, some not even available at many Devon ave stores.

The staff is super rude. They are egoistic people without any manners. About 4 years ago, I was here at 4:55 pm and they shut the door on me (sign said 5pm closing time). I told myself not to visit this place again. I used to buy many items from here but after their behavior with me, I educated many of my friends and family not to visit them. But some people do not learn much from their past (including myself). I visited them yesterday again as I was told that their service got better and they have fresh vegetables. Silly me. It was 6:50pm and they supposed to close at 7pm. Guess what, as soon as I entered (there were others too), owner (or whoever was at the counter) started screaming “Store closing”. I ignored those screams for a minute but it got louder and rude. I quickly went to vegetable section but did not find anything good. Some boxes contained rotten stuff. I was about to picks some things on my way back but irritating noise to tell me to get out as store was closing. The worst store/ service I can experience. Please stay away and tell everyone around you to do the same as these guys do not want customers. Their neck is too long to understand the basic rule of business “Take care of your customers”. They must have a lot of money or they are doing some other illegal business behind the grocery business which must be so profitable that they do not need any grocery customers. Boycott them.

Horrible customer service. Guy and his wife in front of me was a regular customer and dollar short for their BS $15 credit card policy. Basically told the guy to get out he will not make exceptions. As they are leaving he is mumbling something and shaking his head. As i walk up with a food item he decides to pick his nose and dig in there and that was the last straw for me. As i walked out he yells put it back. Never ever even going near this dirty store.

Count this as 0 star. It was rainy day. We went there for diwali shopping with 3 months old boy. It was the first time we went there and we didnt have any quarters to get the cart. I asked a guy (looks like owner) if he can help us get a cart since we didnt have any coins. He asked me a dollar. I told him that i dont have any cash at all. He again asked for a dollar.. R U KIDDING ME?? Am i going to steal your cart?? i intend to spend couple hundred dollars that day in the store, and this guy is asking me dollar when i mentioned him twice that i dont have any cash. What a nonsense. We didnt like this persons attitude and left the store. Waste of my time. NOT RECOMMENDED.. AVOID THIS PLACE!

I am utterly outraged and insulted, and will tell all of my friends to avoid this store, and to warn other prospective customers. I bought a $39.99 Prestige pressure cooker from Bombay Bazaar located in Downers Grove, IL. The seller opened the package to show the contents which I didnt pay too much attention. As I am not an expert on pressure cookers, there was no way for me to realize that there was a piece missing, and I did not realize that I would need to perform a detailed inspection of the product to do business with this man. However when I opened it at home I found the weight that regulates the pressure was missing.I went back to the store to get the missing weight, he not only refused to either give the missing part or to exchange the pressure cooker, he proceeded to show me a video of him opening the box and showing me the product at the time I purchased and he said that this was not his problem. This was a clear implication that I was lying about the missing piece. In retrospect, I am highly disturbed that this man filed away a video record of him selling me a defective product. He seemed to know exactly where he stored this video, as if he was expecting us to come back after realizing the product was worthless. In disgust over the whole experience, I simply left the defective product on his counter, without receiving an exchange or a refund. In hindsight, this may have been a mistake, as I assume he will try to swindle another unsuspecting customer with this pressure cooker.

I am sharing my experience here-1 . Owner is rude, even they do not have smile on there face.2. Many items are out of expiry or they paste label on original expiry print.check expiry date before buying items.3. You can’t use credit card for bill below $15. Many time I used debit card below $15 .they have notice not to use credit card but they must accept debit card .4. Recently there is new Indian grocery shop opened in Naperville name Patel brother good vegetables, snack and all other with super low price . Even you got items half price than this Bombay bazar.5. I visited bombay bazar many times and did shopping cautiously.as it is near by my home.

The worst indian shop with bad attitude of cashier/owner. I decided not to visit again. Better avoid bitter experience.1. Shop looks very big but very few things inside. Shop is full of idols and gods.2. Never enter the shop without a quarter since owner has locked the carts and you need to have quarter to take the cart out. Never dare to ask quarter to the cashier or owner as they look at you as begger. I was not having quarter and even cash and my experience started from there.3. No veggies.4. Frozen items are very oldSome are about to expire.5. Not all items are labelled properly with its rates.6. You find few common things cheaper but total bills will be too high since prices are cleverly put.I am upset with this shop - totally. Owner is arrogant and I can see the comments from last 5-6 years user writing the same. I really dont know how this guy running the shop for that long with such a worst attitude.Hopeless - avoid.
