I had an unfortunate experience however the customer service made up for that! U-Haul called me 30 minutes before my pick up time and let me know my reservation was not there. I had to move into my new place the next morning and they ended up telling me I couldnt get a truck until the morning of my move in. It was very hectic and frustrating HOWEVER customer service made that better. Debra was absolutely amazing, she worked to help me find a solution. I truly appreciate her kindness.

Unfortunately, I went to my local UHaul (HWY 5, Douglasville, GA) for a hitch and wiring install today for an appointment that was set up over 1 month ago and they told me they had moved my appointment to next week because they still didnt have the parts, but no one bothered to notify me of the situation. Terrible customer service, terrible business etiquette, and incompetence all around. I even went to them this past Tuesday to let them know they had the wrong wiring harness ordered, but I had the correct one and would bring it with me today, and Jessie Eaves (the man I talked to) said they would call or Email me if there were any issues. There was absolutely NO contact made at all. There is absolutely no excuse for this type of business practice. At this point, I wouldnt trust anyone at that location for anything.

I was their around 2:30 today nobody To fill a Lp tank guy was sitting down on his phone doing nothing said their was nobody trained to fill the tank I expect better than this from U-Haul need to train all employees to fill a Lp tank sitting down doing nothing.............. Time to lean you got time to clean training and better customer service!!!!!

At pickup.Even with a two week advanced booking, they did not have my reserved vehicles at my chosen pickup location. Made me travel 40 minutes out of my way to pick up reserved trailer elsewhere. Then I had to argue the price because it was much higher than my booking price. Terrible experience and waste of time. Zero social distancing and no masks, even after doing online check-in and wearing a mask myself. Shame on U-Haul for not taking service and COVID seriously.At drop off.Attendant was too lazy to do their job and check me in at drop off. Told me to unhook trailer, take picture of gas and milage, and take walk around video for them by myself and on my own phone. It was raining too and I slipped out of the truck back cutting my arm and badly bruising my hip. Unbelievably irritating and truly the worst service ever.

I currently Have a storage unit here and i can Never get any service when trying to get in contact with someone to pay my bill . It’s ridiculous but then they want to add late fees . I’ve told them several times i cannot Access my account online and they always just say call because it’s something in their system. I’ve always paid my bill and this is how a good customer gets treated . POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE .

I went to the U-Haul in Douglasville, GA to get a hitch install on a 2011 Buick Enclave. Great customer service and outstanding work! They had all the parts in-stock and I was in & out same-day within an hour. Once again, it was an awesome experience. I highly recommend U-Haul Douglasville!

My rental experience at this location has been horrible. It took a long time just to pick up the cargo van. The van that was initially reserved for me apparently smelled like gas, so I was switched to another van which happened to be reserved for another customer. They ended up giving her another vehicle (she was not happy), but this process took 45 minutes. The charges on my final receipt do not add up, and Ive been getting the run around for 2 days about this which is pissing me off. The rental charge does not add up AND I was charged an EZ fuel sales charge for no reason! The gallon was at 7/8 when I took the van and I brought it back on full (by accident). Why is it that they are quick to take money from your account but slow in resolving issues with charges? Now I have to come back up here again tomorrow since the manager and person who entered the charges are not available. I live 20 minutes away. I should not be inconvenienced for their mistake. I will never rent from this location again.

I would give it zero stars if I could. I drove less than one mile to my home from the U-Haul. Did my round trip drive which was 24 miles stopped a block away and put in gas and returned. So, approximately 26 miles. When I returned they say I drove 41 miles! Their odometers are completely rigged! I will never rent from a U-Haul again.

This place doesn’t deserve a 1 star.... we rented a uhaul from this place and Holly lied to us saying that they would give us a grace period to return the truck back well she said if the truck wasn’t back by 1pm then we would be charged for a extra day, well we had the truck back by 12:40 and was still charged for another day and they didn’t give us our money back for the mileage, I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau!

My husband & I went into this location to rent a van to move a full sized mattress we had just bought at At Home back to our apartment. Brandy helped us with our rental & promptly charged my debit card for a 1 hour retail just short a few dollars of $100 which is absorbed because I wasnt notified how much I was fully being charged until after I swiped my card but what could I do? We returned to the store before 7 pm closing time to drop off the van & was told by Brandy to put the keys in the drop box as I asked her even though Im standing right here & she said yes theyll process it in the morning& if any fees are due back theyll be issued back to my card. Okay then. A week goes by & we enter the month of March I checked my account finally to see how much was refunded back & absolutely nothing had been. I called the store number which connected me to corporate to gently remind them on reimbursing me for the mileage (I rounded off to 35 miles but we only did like 20) at that time she informed me that I actually had a left over balance & still owed the store as I had the van for 2 days. I let her know we returned it the same night, a dispute was entered to refund us our money about $40-45 is what we were told over the phone additional truck fee, insurance & mileage. A week goes by & still nothing was credited back to my card. I call again still fed the same baloney, on 3/10 Brandy calls me to say Im so sorry they should have checked you in and not let this happen. What an insult this is all because of her any ways. Its been 3 and half weeks now that U-Haul store & corporate have said they would refund the money back & have failed to do so. My best suggestion is go elsewhere because this company or at least this location is a bunch of crooks. Ive called the store, left messages and even went to this branch to speak with Holly the manager & she has never called me back. Im so disgusted beyond words.

I have recently rented a large storage unit and reserved a trailer for an upcoming move. My experience has been excellent. The warehouse is very clean and organized. The employees are knowledgable, professional and friendly. The only negative thing is that the facility could use more parking.

I was in the store last week to buy boxes and I was told by a gentlemen with one hand that someone would be with me in just a second while he continued to play on his phone and no one ever can to check me out when I asked him if someone was coming he said yes hold on as he was on his phone. I just left and went some where else. It was very unprofessional and if he wants to be on his phone that is fine but then he needs a job were does not have to work with customers. very poor customer service.

Will never deal with this facility for anything again. I had a hitch and wiring harness ordered and scheduled for a week. Called me after I had already dropped off my vehicle on the day the installation was scheduled (it had been there for more than 5 hours before they called) to tell me the hitch hadnt come in and that they didnt know how to install the wiring harness. They were very aware that I had a trip scheduled the next day whichI subsequently missed. Worst service that I have ever experienced.

I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU NO STARS! I’m not one to complain but they were rude, unhelpful, just nasty. I won storage auction, called to inform I would be there right at close and told them I wanted to make sure it was ok because I was 1 hour away they said it’s fine. So I recant a truck sit in bumper to bumper traffic to get there and be told they can’t do nothing. Plus they claim the unit is down several flights of stairs who wants to carry that much stuff up stairs. Then I have to come during business hours everyone else gives after hours access. The lady with nose ring was not helpful at all and didn’t seem to care will never go there again and u shouldn’t either!!!!

Reserve truck a week in advance. Went to pickup truck and they tell me they don’t have the truck I reserved on any trucks available. They claimed to have a truck available 25 minutes out of the way and I get there...no truck available. So needless to say I didn’t get a truck after taking off from work and paying people to help me move.

At first I was a little annoyed with this place because I had an appointment and was told that I would need to wait an hour and a half due to a scheduling conflict. I did receive great service when I came in later in the day. The entire staff is friendly and helpful.

The WORST Uhaul service do not rent from here! When we rented a truck from, this hwy 5 Uhaul we were given an unreliable truck with no gas yet we had to fill upto half tank. When we asked employee where to park since front parking was full, he pointed us to a spot in which when we returned had a big uhaul trailor truck parked RIGHT behind our car so we could not leave ! Due to This stupid inconvenience,i Had to call an Uber to get home at midnight and another one back to get the car in the morning all due to not signs and wrong instructions. Uhaul did Nothing to compensate for this. They are unprofessional location. Zero stars

The truck was great. However, a couple of the clerks lied to me regarding mileage and the cost (cents) per mile. I wa told more than once that I would be charged 0. 29 per mile. I had to drive the truck to and from Cobb county because that’s where we were moving, and so of course, the mileage added up, which I expected. However, whenI went to return the truck I saw that I was being charged 0.79 per mile, added a big chunk of money that I had to pay that I was not expecting. I told the manager and he told me that the employee told me wrong. Instead of practicing good customer service, which would have been to understand the situation and charge me 0.29 per mile for that one time and reprimand the employees who lied to me, he charged me the 0.79 to my final cost and didn’t even mention if he would let his employees know the correct information to tell customers from then on. Not pleased.

Friendly staff and good vehicles. Only problems I had were the parking had to be done at the restaurant next door and I drove off (After checking the vehicle) with the hood unlatched causing me to have to stop at the next exit to check it out.

Only cost me $62 to move locally with their largest truck. Returning after hours was a little bit of a hassle with the slow app but the reps in the store were very quick to check me out.

When I booked by reservation I specifically asked for an 8 foot pickup truck. Luckily the location less than a mile away from my house populated in my search saying it had one. I did this late Thursday night early Friday morning time. I awoke Friday morning to an email stating that my pickup location was now going to be 15 miles away in Douglasville. So now thats a 30 mile round trip that Ive got to pay mileage for which I think is absolutely ridiculous as I picked a much closer location. Also upon arriving in Douglasville the truck that was available absolutely reeked of marijuana and none of the staff seemed to care after being told. So now my ride for my home improvement plan has doubled in price because uhaul messed up the booking and Im sitting in someones hotbox for the duration. Quality of service has severely gone down at uhaul. Ill look into other alternatives next time around

How about a zero! We rented a utility trailer for 6 hours since that was the least amount of time. We did the pick up and had it back to them by 8 PM. Since they had closed, we put the contract back into the night box and left. That was June 1st. Now it is June 7th and my husband got an email that we owe them an additional $87.67. They are saying the rental took place on the 4th! Now due to the messed up dates, they are trying to charge more money! For what? We paid what we owed when we rented it! We parked the utility trailer where my husband was told to put it when we brought it back. Within five minutes of receiving the email I was trying to call them about it. Cant get anyone to answer the 800 number provided, so I sent an email requesting a copy of the contract to be sent in order for us to provide it to our attorney. Not messing around with people trying to be crooks, or trying to charge us for the employees who did not do their job correctly. There is NO WAY we should still have to pay anything else for a trailer.Add on- Finally made contact by calling the Douglasville store directly. Told them I wanted to speak to a supervisor, and was put on hold by Sarah that put me back in que, and when someone finally answered, I told them I was holding for a supervisor. I explained what was going on and why I was so upset. Leigh put in a dispute and I mentioned the other reviews I had seen on here, and wishing that I had looked at it before I had rented the trailer. She said she would pass that along to the district manager too, and within 2 hours (I as originally quoted 72 hrs) I had an email saying the charges were taken away and the account was clear. Hope they go to this store and fix the seemingly constant issues (based on previous reviews) of being overcharged and then treated poorly when customers complain about it. Its just not a way to run a business. Glad it is fixed, but wish I had not had to worry about it to begin with if people had simply done their job correctly the first time.

I was relocating from TX to GA and needed a car hauler. So at the Texas location everyone was so nice and informative about securing my vehicle and protecting it from damage and directing me on to the trailer and fully securing my expensive vehicles. They were awesome! Then I get to Uhaul in Douglasville GA. My experience was anything but good. I actually got in my car and cried. My kids asked Mom why are you so upset... I get there and am standing outside with my paperwork in hand. There is two employees out there walking around. One woman sees me multiple times and laughs and then goes inside. One man also looking at me multiple times but continues to ignore me? Hmm so at this point I walk inside. Maybe in the wrong place I think? I ask the front desk she says no, you need to wait outside. I said I was for 5 minutes but no one helped me? So I go back outside and see the same guy still continuing to do other things without any customers around. I finnally say excuse me do you know anyone who works here? He said rudely as if he does not want to work there or at all in life, Ya I work here. I said ok... Can I get some assistance?..I said I need some help taking the chains and clamps off of my car so I can take it off the trailer. He said $28.00.?! I said for what? Your joking right ? He said no sturnly. I said I have never heard of this policy before anywhere. I told him at that point I am calling Uhaul and I am going to another location. After hearing that he said let me talk to my manager and he went inside. As I am now on the phone with Uhaul they inform me that this is not a policy and that their manager is not even on site today?! As I am on the phone in my vehicle I now see him taking off everything. He tells me its done and starts walking away?! I said I need to back the car off the trailer do you think you can direct me? He then is like ahhhh.... and proceeds to help. I dont know if this location is trying to get extra money from people for unauthorized fees not compliant with Uhaul but my experience with Uhaul and my first day out and about in the state of GA lets say was not a good one. The employees in this location apparently do not like to work at all. If you do not want to work there, find another place where you do not work in front of the public. Get someone with out a job in place of these people who respects the Uhaul name. I have rented sooooo many times this is my first and only bad experience in over 15 years. Employees are rude and no help when it comes to getting equipment for towing. Tried running a tow Dolly and one minute the equipment is too heavy for the truck so went with another 1 and the vehicle that was needing to be towed was too heavy for the truck. They are completely useless at this location wont ever rent from them again

Be sure to check your out mileage! I made a big mistake since she was stressing the gas. I drove no more than 8 miles I was charged for 17 miles! The customer service/owner was nasty from the time I pick up the truck. BEWARE do not rent from this U-Haul location!!!

Usually have to wait a while to refill my propane tank and if it is sprinkling rain, then they cant refill propane per corporate policy. One of the managers informed me that rain potentially means thunderstorm which potentially means lightning which potentially means fire. Will need to refill elsewhere bc rain = fire. Also that same employee just cussed out the people next to me in the parking lot.
