I went to Area51 looking for a barrel to build a new pistol and from the time I walked in the greeting I got to the help Mr. Jason provided me was awesome and his knowledge of weapons and the ins and outs of building my weapon was a huge help and a blessing. I would have made a huge mistake in how I was building g if not for Jason. Thanks again and keep up the good work and customer service.

Purchased a micro roni G4 for what I thought was new in the box item, was never told otherwise put it on layaway and picked it up today, I paid 450+ tax for over priced used frame, only to realize just now that the charging handle is stripped out, cant even go shoot it now......not a fan of Jason he doesnt seem to want to talk kinda intimidating guy. Im hoping the owner fixes this issue....

Absolutely the worst customer service I have seen in a long time! Not only was Inot acknowledged walking through the door I was also insulted! I came in for a few boxes of .223 or .556 and asked what the price was on em and the guy says I was always told if you gotta ask for the price you cant afford it and then straight up ignored me and continued to talk to the other gentleman that works there! I walked out and will never be back! Took my money down the road!

If you are thinking of getting a suppressor through Area 51 DONT. I called the ATF to see why my approval was taking so long, turns out Area 51 had it for over 3 months without contacting me. I also had a gun order pending with them for close to a year. I had to pay for the gun up front, finally asked for a refund. The guy behind the desk was not willing to help he says *I* have to call the owner for refunds-so I did. A week goes by with no response so I call again finally get the check AND ITS NOT THE FULL AMOUNT! I try to support local business, but to call this a business is an overstatement. The owner is the only one that can get anything done according to the man behind the counter, and in a dozen or so times I’ve been there I have not seen him once.

Area 51 is great. Jason knows his stuff and will answer any questions you have and make sure you get what you need. Highly recommend.

I get it, times are tough for people looking for a new toy or something to feed the one you already have. But this place is taking advantage of our hardships and price gouging, making a hard situation worse. $60 for 20 rounds of 308 and above MSRP on everything hanging on the wall. Is it worth making a few extra bucks to lose business in the future? Customers have memories, I for one will not give them another cent.One star for being located next to a sex shop, pick up some lube there before walking in the door of Area 51.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Area 51. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly. These folks truly love the hobby. I brought in a rifle that I was interested in selling, and they gave me a very fair price. I learned a lot just listening and talking with them! I will definitely visit in the future. I would recommend Area 51 to anyone - its a wonderful place.

These guys know what they are doing. they have a good selection of items for most any platform. Dan and Dennis are awesome. They stayed late (almost an hour) to finish building my AR-15. i got a phone call yesterday, almost 2 months after buying the AR, from Dennis just checking in to see if everything was going good with the gun and if i needed anything or had any questions. who else does that!very reasonable pricing on all accessories and firearms.these other guys giving low reviews probably came in the store thinking they knew everything about everything and had the tacti-cool, level 11 operator mindset and attitude. some people just like to fuss and complain.give these guys a chance to earn your business.i have no affiliation with this company and receive no discounts for reviews. i rarely ever leave reviews, so when someone takes the time out of their day to sit and write something positive about a product/company, it should mean something in itself.

The wait of receiving my new custom AR-15 was completely worth it. The staff at Area 51 Tactical delivered a complete product that is beyond what I expected. Their friendly and family orientated service made the wait far less of a hassle and headache. Their craftsmanship shines through my new AR-15. They did a great build that was nothing short of the work of a true professional. They put the emphasis on the fine details making their product superior over others. I thoroughly recommend Area 51 for any equipment you may need.

I honestly don’t know why they have a low rating. They are busy and have a lot of knowledge. They were very friendly! I just ordered my very first weapon from them a customized AR-15 today! Due to politics of our country and that they have to order some of the stuff it will be ready in about 3 weeks (depending on them getting the parts in). I’m very happy with them so far! Went in there because I didnt like the service and staff at another gun store in town. Their selection in store can be a little lacking because they dont have much room for inventory, but they are happy to order it for you and get it in. Very reasonable prices, and friendly staff. If they are backed up, you can fall by the wayside, but thats to be expected at any store. Very reasonable transfer fee ($20) if you order a gun online to be transfered by the store.Overall I recommend this store because they are much friendlier and more helpful than other gun stores Ive visited. As I mentioned before, they have excellent prices and can order you almost anything you want.

Couldnt find a sign with posted hours, but that could be my own fault. They were open...I guess. Not very inviting, but there were people inside. Placed looked like a preppers garage sale. I think there were two people working. I say I think because the person behind the counter was too busy talking to his buddy to acknowledge I was there, and the other person I thought was shopping, after also ignoring me, walked to the back of the store. Place wasnt busy, and as a first time shopper in a mom and pop place that looks like it does, I was looking for something to assure me it was ok I was there. Hell, for all I know they were closed and wondering why I was there. Again, I wouldnt know since nobody said anything at all.

I ordered an AR-10 buffer tube and buffer kit from Area 51, transaction went well and the individuals were very friendly. was told the kit would be in the store for pick-up in about 5 days. After a week of waiting, I called and was told the parts hadnt arrived yet and they were unable to track the order since the person who placed it was not around. This happened two more times. I ended up purchasing the parts from an online vendor (which I try not to do, I enjoy buying locally and supporting small businesses) which of course, arrived in 3 days. I called again to cancel my order and to my surprise, was told I could not be refunded because they couldnt find record of the order ever being placed. A few days later I decided to stop by the store and was again greeted with a friendly welcome, and after difficulty finding record of the order and questioning between employees of my messages from weeks prior, was able to receive my refund. I personally find it in bad business practice to have such loose standards as to lose an order of a potential return purchaser. I unfortunately do not recommend Area 51 due to this.

Greeted with smile. After waiting 45 minutes past posted opening time. I really needed a couple parts i wasnt able to find elsewhere so i was patient. Had nice conversation about guns and asked for what i needed. They smiled and helped me out nicely while breaking it off in my butt with price. Should have walked but really wanted to finish my project. I tried them because i had shot a couple rifles they built at local range those rifles seemed good to go. Service with a smile but ouch !

Customer service comes first when i walked in i wasnt even acknowledged as i was looking at the products they had for sale still nothing.. As being a service member or just anyone that walks in to a tiny shop like theres for two people working there you could at least say be with you in a moment or just a simple welcome instead of dealing with one customer then getting on the phone.. Ill take my $$$ elsewhere hope others have a better experience

Dan built me a highly accurate Aero Precision .308 AR10 which I like very much which shoots sub MOA groups. He also sold me a silencer that I like using equally as well. I can consistently hit a palm sized steel target at 400 yards no problem, and I cant hold so still myself.

I’ll have to come back by some other time and check it out...Updated - Sep 1 2019Got to stop by and check the store out - decent custom gun shop. The gentleman working the shop was assembling a custom build for a customer - looked like good work and he was knowledgeable about the rifles [always a good thing🤓] Inventory of a good amount of black rifles/pistols for sale at fair prices. Good selection of AR acessories and parts on hand. Used holsters and some mil surplus gear also in the store. All together nice hole in the wall shop... definitely worth a look if ur hunting parts, firearms or just looking around.Ill spend money in the store again!

Have driven there from Enterprise twice during their posted hours, as far as I can tell they just open when they feel like it. People wonder why you shop online instead of local, this is why. I wont be back.

Cant say enough about Dan and his Area 51 team. Met them at local gun show and was impressed by the knowledgeable and personable staff. I followed up at their store where they helped me construct a bad@ss 300 Blackout AR Pistol that I couldnt be happier with. The end product quality is simply top notch and the custom battleworn duracoat they did is nothing short of a masterpiece! If youre in the market for a professional AR build, do yourself a favor and stop by their store. They are a welcomed alternative to the faceless online vendors and big brand corporation stores dominated by disinterested sales reps. Ill be a repeat customer!

NO GUARANTEES. Those were the words I got for one of many excuses why my custom order wasn’t made to my specifications and on time.Dishonest between the estimated time and having all parts for my order. Refusal to give refund due to policy of no refunds on custom orders, AFTER, to make up for time loss, given a premade off the wall.No communication between when there was a delay, when parts arrived, when they shipped to my FFL.This place is a joke of any type of business model, BUYER BEWARE.

After reading these reviews I almost didnt go but against my better judgement I went anyway and Im super glad I did these guys had really good customer service and made me feel like a valued customer I finished up my AR pistol build and it shoots and looks amazing

I have done business with Area 51 Tactical a few times and never been impressed but never been driven away... Until today. They opened the shop an hour and a half late then were unapologetic about me waiting there for them. After getting down to business they gave me a price that was double what they quoted me. Just plain unprofessional.They open whenever they feel like, their prices are high, they sell used items as new, and try to drive up prices after they give you a quote.I will go well out of my way to avoid doing business with them ever again.

I went in a few weeks ago and had a gtg rifle built and they did an amazing job. The custom duracoat finish has all of my buddies jealous. I highly recommend stopping in and checking it out. The red-bearded guy even went in on a Sunday night to finish my build before I had to leave town for a week. A++

Dan and his team are always prepared to help their customers. From hard to find parts, to gunsmithing and repairs. Area 51 is my first choice in the Wiregrass. Have only had great experiences with them. Had a 300 Blackout build that is chewing up the targets every time at the range. Have traded items, put items on consignment, etc. Everything above board.

The prices here are good . The service sucks hard core . The workers don t work and they always have excuses about fixing your product. I have had my 100 round drum up there for 30 days . I have not received a call back or anything. I am going to pick up my drum later today . If they don t have my stuff, I may have to get a lawyer and the police investigation. No one should ever come here . The phones don t even work . I would rate them at zero.

Called to find the place. Nobody answered the phone. Finally found it, and found the reason why nobody could answer the phone. Both people working there were too busy talking the same, lame politics you hear all kudzu commandos talking. Wandered around in the small, poorly stocked floor. Even made it obvious that I wanted to buy, but to no avail. Blow-harding is more important than customer service.I have really poor luck with gun shops in Dothan, let me tell you!

Very good company pretty good prices they do not gouge you on the prices with a potential ban or crazy stuff of that nature good honest shop I would recommend Dan if you have any questions concerns just wish they carried more glock stuff . But they will get you anything you want quickly and affordably

Great place, I just bought one of their custom GTG carbines, which usually take a couple weeks to complete for the customer, Im from Michigan and they took care of me and had me walking out within an hour (background check took the longest) the negative reviews Ive read have got to be from impatient people who dont understand the concept of first come first serve. The store is busy, theyve only got a 2-3 guys working and their building while helping customers pick things out. The selection was great, had FN SCAR-17 mags for the cheapest price Ive ever bought them for... ( sorry I bought the store out ) definitely go here for your AR-15 instead of down the road to the big guys, you will not be disappointed.

Order a Rouger SR-762 and it was the best ordering I have ever had. The guy behind the counter ordered the gun and beat everyones price around!My gun was on backorder and it took about a month to come in. They do trigger installs for me and they have pretty much everything you could want and if they dont have it they are willing to order it.

I have updated my score since I know someone that this company went out of their way to help get a part when no one else would. I was wrong about them but still take away one star for my experience - which might not have been entirely their fault.

Excuses and never on time. Glad all businesses arent, call before u come,we may not feel like opening.
