Ive been going to G&R for decades started back in the 70s BMX days and I bought my first road bike here also,,love this place.

That was my first time going to you for service I was very happy with the results ! Its like I have a new bike it rides very smooth and faster I will definitely go back if I have any more problems with it ! And the service was very friendly ! ✌️

I took my huffy mountain bike to have a tune up and some minor adjustments here, it took over a week, I was charged $75.99 for tune up and extending one of my brake cables and I had my seat raised but I was told my handle bars could not be adjusted. Afterwards I still had a hard time riding the bike because the handlebar were too low which caused pressure on my wrist and back. I found a bike fork extender on Amazon for $ 14 which is cheaper than buying new handle bars and called G and R back to see if they would install the extender on my bike. The owner told me they would have to charge me $100 just to put on the extender, do another tuneup and make the cables longer. I can buy a new bike for that cost, they could have charged a much more reasonable amount for this simple adjustment, after spending $75 and I still can’t ride comfortably is ridiculous. They are just price gouging!!!! Don’t waist your time and money here because it’s not worth it.

They did an excellent job of making my bike like new again! They really know their stuff.

I took 2 bikes and to get repair a tune up to check the brakes the gears tire pressures one bike came back fine the bike he tried to charge me an extra $30 after Im paid a $100 already for the both bikes to say well the brakes are bad you should have told me that when You had the bike in the shop not when I bring it back to ask you what was wrong So you just basically charged me $50 to put some air in the tires

I went in last week to get a bike repaired. The customer service was terrible. Even the management had a bad attitude. I understand that my bike may have been older, but thats the purpose of a bike shop to restore and recondition bikes. I went to a bike shop on livernois. The customer service was excellent. In fact they charged me half the price to fix the bike, and i bought 3 brand new bikes from them. Ill never step foot in this bike shop again.

Paul and staff at G&R are life long associates in the bike business. The Miyata touring model I bought some 40 plus years ago is a treasure and no one touches it except G&R. My additional comment is that too bad bike shops at this time are short on inventory. More bikes less cars!

This place is old school and fantastic .The Staff is very knowledgeable and efficiant.Prices are truly reasonable.

We had one issue. We communicated via text prior to going in, that gentleman stated that they could do what we were requesting but when we arrived to the store it was something totally different. Other than that the customer service was great. The gentlemen whom we dealt with were very nice and professional. Prices were reasonable for what we bought and had done. Will be back.

Ive been going to this shop for about 15 years and Im glad that they are still in the community. I have had nothing but good experiences and they are the best bike mechanics around. I have purchased two bikes over the years and Im still using them.I dont mind if a service or accessory cost slightly more because Im willing to help small independent business survive.

Same day repairs. Fixed my daughters bike and added a drink holder for her in less than 20 minutes. We will be back for other modifications to our bikes. And will retrun if we ever need another repair.

Very rude staff. Obnoxious & unconcerned owner. Obviously is only out for the $13 chargr rather than customer loyalty. Wont recommend nor will I return.

Went to G & R on Monday. It was closed. Please change open hours. I just found out that it closes on Sundays and Mondays.It really sucks since i need a fix for my flat.

Went to G & R Bike Shop in Detroit to replace back wheel. When I mentioned the damage they did to frame, they replied this happens when taking off and reinstalling bike parts. Stay away from these guys!
