Im very happy with my custom closet. Stella took my vision and made it come to pass. I cant stop looking at the work she designed and its perfect.

I hired Closets by Design to install a coat rack and storage shelving in a hall closet. The designer, Stella, was extremely experienced, professional and ultra-responsive. She had the design done in our initial meeting. Pricing was competitive. The installers were professional, very fast and did high quality work. The shelving is so well-installed and strong you can literally hang off of it without budging it. Great experience and recommend them without reservation.

Cabinets by Design helped us design and install custom built-in cabinets in an awkward space. They were were able to match our kitchen design very closely. The installation only took a day, the scheduling took longer but that was covid related and well outside of CBDs control. How CBD handled those challenges were exceptional. At some point I misunderstood a communication and CBD was quick to resolve it and reassure me. We had move an outlet and CBD helped us finalized the new location so we would be up to code. I think poor BJ had twelve calls from me in a weeks period bc I was trying to coordinate the placement, lol.

Closets by Design was very efficient and we are very happy with their work! Their workers are very friendly and great customer service, we recommend and would use them again for our closet needs!

My husband and I recently upgraded our master closet from wire shelving to a custom closet by Closets by Design! We are so happy with the final result! Our designer Arian did an amazing job at coming up with a design that utilized our space efficiently and gave us the right amount of storage for our clothes. The installation process also went very smoothly and was completed in a timely manner. We are very impressed with the quality and feel that this was a great investment for our home. Overall we are so happy with our closet and would recommend Closets by Design to all of our family and friends!

Poor customer service on the phone end. the only thing good about this place was the installer Levi.It took 2 weeks back and forth missing pieces or broken parts.

From the in-home designer to the actual installers and the support staff, this is a company I enjoyed doing business with! They have been professional, polite, punctual and very pleasant to deal with. They do not pressure for a bigger project than is needed and they design and install the systems with great competence. It was an all-around terrific experience.

Extremely professional from start to finish and the end result was amazing. Couldnt be happier with what they delivered! Installation team was thorough and courteous, ensuring to take good care of my home as they worked and carried materials through. Expectations were set well early on and met every step of the way. There are many good things I could say about this company. The designer And installers took all precautions with masks and sanitation. I asked that they called upon arrival due to our dogs, and they did so. The installers were professional, got input from us for decisions when they ran into issues (such as our walls not being squared up), and they did an amazing job cleaning up their workspace. I also loved whatever lemony scent they used when they vacuumed the carpet.

I worked with Kyley at Closets by Design on a very unusual closet in our 100 year old home. She was attentive and hardworking at finding a solution for us. We ended up not using CbD but would recommend others use them based upon the level of customer care I received.

From the initial all-day onsite design meeting to the single-day install of two large closets and pantry, they did a great job. It did take 2 months to get installed as they have been popular during covid. But happy with the results.

Great experience through the design and installation process. Got a few quotes and they were the most reasonable and fun to work with! Stella did an amazing job listening to us and helping guide us to the right design and look. Our installers did an incredible and efficient job! We had one small miscommunication where the wrong handles were delivered but they fixed it and had the correct ones installed within 72 hours. I was very impressed with the customer service! Would recommend and will be using again.

Our designer Erin listened to everything we wanted to have included in our closet refit, including a space for golf clubs. We live in a condo in an historic building and Closets by Design happily complied with all requests from our HOA for information and designs. The installer was professional and was able to solve for our uneven floors. The customer service is excellent, the design exceeded our expectations and the closet is high quality. They also have good Covid precautions. We will be using them again in the future. Look for the coupon in the Valpak envelope, we got a great deal on pricing. We did have to wait a couple of months for installation because they are so busy, but it was worth it and we say good for them, for a family run business to be so busy, especially right now.

Overall good experience in working with Closets by design. I wish they had the option to share the diagram using software as well.

Breanna, the Sales Rep had some really good suggestions on arrangements. But she also listened to what I wanted and then improved on it.The Installer was a nice young man and was very conscientious about respecting my home.I have so much more room now than I did before the installation. I have more room to move around in the closet. It is truly a Walk In closet now!Only minor note, the outside of the drawers are not totally smooth. But a little light sanding and they are fine.Exactly what I wanted, thank you.

Had a rocky start with a designer/salesman that quit after my quote and the office guy said they had to start all over with another person, and that that was normal to send out two people, get two quotes and designs... dont think so, but Stella won me over. Very kind, and thorough to make sure my closet design would really work for us. We have a narrow, reach-in closet that had to be custom designed or else we wouldve gone for cheaper options we could do ourselves. She was able to make one of their basic closet models work for us and helped us get the best deal. The installation guy was also quick and efficient. Overall, Im very pleased with the outcome as I can actually use my closet for the first time since we bought the house 11 months ago.

We used Closets by Design to organize our master closet, after a referral from a friend. We went from white wire shelving to twice as much hanging storage with cabinets and drawers! They made an appointment, came to my house, we designed the closet at that time. It took a couple months to be built out, then a one day install, however we were doing a bathroom remodel so it worked out perfectly. We have a “wonky” closet space and CbD did a great job maximizing it. We did have to make a few adjustments after installation but they have excellent customer service and were out in the next few days to do.We will definitely use them again!

My experience with the team is great. All the communication were timely and responsive after the initial call; theyve called me multiple times before but the timing was unfortunate. I was either in a meeting or unavailable to pick up their call.My designer came into my house and created the design in house (on the same appointment) and we talked through some of my wants and needs are. Got the pricing afterwards and he came back again to sign the contract.The office called me the next time to setup a time to come on to install. From signing contract to installation took about 3 weeks. The installer came in on time and finished the installation in one day.Theres a mixed up on what kind of rod I wanted, and they cleared up that as well. Basically, I asked for the chrome matted round rod and they had the rectangular ones. Spoke with the designer and they owned up on the misunderstanding, and sent out the installer again the next day.However, I ended up keeping the rectangular ones as 1) They are less prompt to scratch, 2) For some reason, the ones they pre-cut in house were too short and in one instance, the rod fell off everytime I tried to everytime I tried to hang the clothes, 3) the round rods diameters is bigger than the rectangular ones, so I had move down one slot in order for an easier access to hang the clothes.All in all, I will recommend Closet by Design as they are responsive and transparent in their communication. I hate it when contractors call again and again to delay their appointments, and Ive not experience this with them.Also make sure you have a clear idea on how you want to configure your closet and ask your designer to make the design as flexible as possible so that you can later on play around with your configuration.

I just had closets by design install a second closet in my home. They did my first one about a year and a half ago and we absolutely love it!! Ive seen several TV ads for California Closets lately so we also had them come offer a bid but quickly found out how they afford all the air time. After getting such great service and perfect product the first time it was easy to go with the better deal from Closets By Design. This time was just great!! After seeing their catalog I wish I had a garage to deck out. They also did an amazing job incorporating my gun safe, hiding it while keeping it very accessible.

I saw Closets by Design at the Tacoma Home & Garden Show and immediately setup an appointment for quote on redesign of the two closets in my bedroom. Quincie was the designer and her professionalism and responses to all my question on top of the design we came up with for the closet made me hire Closets and I have been extremely happy with the results, although there was some miscommunication, the team was responsive and I am very satisfied customer and I look forward to them designing my pantry and garage.

Love my new closet. It was installed exactly as it was supposed to be. I had to wait a month for installation though and its pricey. Excellent customer service.

Received a Valpac Coupon and as we were thinking of redoing our closets anyway we gave them a call. Designer showed up as scheduled and was very polite and professional. Gave us an estimate on the spot and we accepted. He set proper expectations for how to have the closets prepared prior to install and scheduled the install date. Installers came as scheduled and were also professional and very clean/neat with their work. I was very impressed with the quality and we love how our new closets make us more organized! Would recommend Closets By Design to all our friends and family!

I absolutely love what Closets by Design did! With a baby coming soon, I was very stressed out with the space in our home and knew I needed something done. My installer mentioned theyre a family owned business and it shows. They actually care about their customers and treated me like family.They gave me just what I needed. The quality of their product makes me feel like I live in a million dollar home!

Don’t waste your time and money with them. They have no respect for their customers or their customers’ time. With all the mishaps and disruptions, you would think they just started business a few minutes back.They consistently miss arrival windows. Nobody (even the scheduler) can tell you (even day of) when to expect your appointment to start.the only pieces of information I received were- from the office: who’s truck is currently parked in the lot.- from the installer: going to be late and will need to unload the truck.Bravo. Bravo.

The process was so easy. The installation was great and I have a fabulous new closet that is functional and looks really nice.

I am absolutely delighted with their design and work. They did 2 closets - a walk in master bedroom and a guest bedroom closet. In both I have at least 2x the space I had before. Im going to hire them for my next condo. Best of all, the designer needed under an hour, she was super accurate and fast, and the 2 installers completed the job within a day. They vacuumed and left everything very clean.

This is perhaps the worst company I have ever dealth with. My wife tried to make an appointment with their designer. After several cancellations and change of plans, he finally showed up. He showed to be a nice guy that would take care of everything. Once he left we never heard back. We called the company and tried to follow up twice, but still we got empty promises and received no quote! Then I said, lets give them another chance. I called under my name and requested an appointment. I sat at home for the designer and she never showed up. I wrote an email to the person who had set the appointment. After 1 hour, somebody called and proposed to reschedule. I refused because if a company drives you crazy to give you a quote, you should not expect to receive a good service for such a work that perhaps needs a lot of customer service for installation and warranty. The guy on the phone said give us another chance, and I said I am sorry you already had 7 chances and blew them up! Perhaps I should I have not tried again but I did and here is my lessons learnt for you!Good luck!

They took awhile to get here (installations were booked out and then Snowpocalypse 2019 happened) but they did it quickly when they were here and they look really good!

There work was substandard. The drawers did not align. When I called to let them know that I had a problem plus I sent pictures no one returned my calls. Save yourself a lot of problems and just go to California Closets...better product.

Save yourself grief and call California Closets. I used California Closets for the installation of my pantry and Closets By Design for adding a bench in a closet. Boy, do I regret not using California Closets for both! The first CBD design consultant that came to my home was asked to leave for rude, obnoxious behavior. When the manager called me to apologize I gave them a second chance, albeit reluctantly. I should have stuck with my instincts and let California Closets do my closet. The experienced installer left a novice/apprentice at my home to complete the install. The result? A 3 inch gash in my brand new hardwood. I reported the damage and withdrew my authorization for CBD to take final payment, explaining that we could discuss final payment AFTER this issue was resolved. In response to reporting the damage, Closets By Design refuses to accept responsibility for the damage they caused, tried taking payment after I withdrew authorization for them to do so (thankfully my bank blocked them prior to them trying to take the funds without authorization), then threatened me with further action. Thankfully, Im not ignorant to my rights as a consumer. These people do BAD business. Run away as fast as you can!
