Horrible experience have about 5 different people calling me. 2 of which stated it wouldnt work then just didnt try then they have their managers call and say it will work right after. Its a rollercoaster of a mess and not worth it. Morally and ethically I will not be shopping with this company in the future. They have made my car buying experience stressful and made me feel as if I was an idiot for informing them of situations. Instead of calmly explaining they had to stop themselves from almost cussing at me. Honestly worst experience and I process loans for a living.

Showed up 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Was promptly greeted and talked through my options by Kaitlyn, who was extremely friendly! I sat in the waiting area for less than 30 minutes and my vehicle was ready and washed. Kaitlyn walked me to the checkout desk and stayed with me while I paid and then walked me to my car, while keeping a genuine conversation going, opened my car door for me and thanked me.I also enjoyed the video link from Blake, the maintenance tech, showing me under my vehicle and talking through everything he did and everything he Inspected.Great overall service! I brought my Sedona in to have an oil change. I made my appointment at 0930 almost a month ago. Showed up 15 minutes early checked in and was told it would take an hour. I got my van back 2 hours later. I have bought 7 Kia’s from this dealership and I was treated with no respect. No one came to tell me that they were running late. Kia requires these appointments and should get the car in and services in one hour like they say. I will not take my cars back to KIA to be services except for my Slethos I bought a your ago and then I expect to be treated a whole lot better.

When we were in the front lot looking at a new Kia Sorento a salesman walked over and couldnt answer specific questions, just kept saying it is a great car. He never opened the car to even show the interior. Sales people should know the product they are selling and be enthusiastic to sell it !

I was looking to buy a 2022 Hybrid Sorento EX. I saw on the Kia website that Des Moines was getting a black one in. I had been to various dealerships closer to me that marked up their Sorentos over MSRP. I decided to email Des Moines just to see what they could offer since I was almost 3 hours away. Gus emailed me back and told me they sell them at MSRP plus the doc fee. I asked him questions about the vehicle and he answered them all. I was able to reserve the one coming in, and he even brought down the reservation fee for me. Plus it was refundable. He let me know when it was on its way, plus when it arrived. When we got there for our appt Gus was there and the vehicle was prepped and ready. Test drove it and loved it. He honored the price he told me, plus the trade in they quoted! I was expecting some kind of Mark up or low ball on the trade but it never came. It was so quick getting through everything, plus everyone else was great too- the financing guy, plus Russ, who went over features. No one pressured us, no one raised any prices. Everyone was so pleasant. Best experience buying a car ever! The almost 3 hour drive was worth it for sure.

My past 2 experiences at Kia of Des Moines, over the last handful of years have not been good. I refused to go back, but my wife wanted to stop and look. This time was a GREAT experience with our salesman Antonio Ramirez ! Antonio listened to what my wife wanted and didnt try to up sell us to a more expensive model. He also didnt try to pressure us into buying something if we didnt want it. His manager Merle Berkel was great to work with as well! Thanks Merle!Thanks for a great experience! Great experience with my advisor. My car went in because of a weird rattling sound when I accelerated and the first tech drive it and couldn’t hear the sound. Considering it took 1.5 months for this appointment I told my advisor that I would drive her or the tech so they can hear it. I was able to drive her around and immediately I was able to duplicate the issue. If it wasn’t for her I would of left a bad review and been dissatisfied. Remember I’m not bringing my car in because I love to drive 45 min to the dealership and waste my time only to be told everything is ok?

So I had to bring in my vehicle for a new starter, I knew that was the problem due to a mechanic already looking it at, what I was not ready for was needing a battery. At first it was going to be pretty expensive. This is where Jared came in he shot me over a quote $100.00 less than he originally thought, I think that his honesty shined over profit and speaks volumes on the kind of service department Kia of Des Moines has. If I was not selling my vehicle, I would continue to do service with them, to everyone looking to service ask for Jared hes top notch in my book. Joe went above and beyond for me! My key wouldnt turn in my 2007 Kia Optima. I had tried to release the safety feature, but it didnt work. Joe came to my place of employment and tried to see if he could fix it. He wasnt able to, but he personally came and tried! I had it towed to Kia of Des Moines today. Joe helped answer questions in order to me to choose which Kia Rio I wanted to test drive. He did not try to pressure me in any way. Phil, the finance person, went above and beyond to get me the best financing option. It was the first brand new car I had ever purchased. Joe, Phil, and Merle made sure I was completely taken care of and happy with my decision!! I would recommend Kia of Des Moines to everybody! Ask for Joe!!

I waited a waited for over a month to get this appointment for my oil change/ winterization of my car and to have the non functional seat cooling evaluated. I got there amd the person that scheduled it left the seat cooling off the schedule. So they couldn’t fix that. They were over booked and I had to wait almost two hours for a basic oil change. Was charged a premium compared to other businesses and now my car has a load buzz that cannot be ignored. It was not there when I brought my car in. I have to take another half day off to get my seat coolers fixed and this buzzing fixed. Not impressed at all. I definitely won’t come back for oil changes ever again. And I even bought two cars here. Very disappointed in KIA

I was out of town when I discovered I had a brake light go out. I went to different auto stores trying to find a replacement, but was unable to do so and was told I would only be able to find it at the dealership. They even said I probably wouldnt be able to get in. I called Kia of Des Moines and they were able to get me in right away. I showed up and only had to wait 15-20 minutes for my light to be fixed. They went ahead and checked all the other lighting for me as well. I felt very fortunate because in my city, Ive always been told I had to go to the dealership I bought the car at to get anything done. They saved me from having to drive around an unfamiliar city for a few days with no light.

When I was ready to buy they ensured every discount, rebate and trade assistance available to me. Kaitlyn was excellent checking us in and explaining everything that they would run a diagnostic but if they didnt find anything that I wouldnt be charged for it, plus do an oil change and change the windshield wipers like i had asked. But when I went to pick up and pay the bill I was charged the $125 fee for the diagnostic and then come to find out they didnt reset the Oil percentage back to 100% and the tire pressure light came on as we were coming home. Not very Happy!!

Pulled my repair ticket before the service was done. Service lady was adamant I sign for responsibility of $210 diagnostic fee. 2 month old dual energy car was not always accepting electrical charge. He was able to answer questions, direct us to cars that matched what we wanted, and he treated me as a woman with a lot of respect. I am used to sales people overlooking me and talking to my husband. Recently purchased a 2022 Kia Telluride. I went into the dealership and spoke with Joseph Sprunger, and was on the fence for what car would fit our families needs and he went over the differences between the 2 SUVs we were debating. We placed an order for the Telluride after weighing our options. Joe kept us updated on the status and checked in on us during the waiting period, even offered personal rides since we had traded one of our cars in and were down to one car. When our car arrived (earlier than anticipated), we had all the financing ready before we even went to the dealership and the finance manager was friendly and didn’t push unnecessary add ons. The whole process was very quick and they walked us through all the features and setting up the car electronics. As a first time Kia owner I’m impressed with how smooth everything went and the initial quality of the vehicle. I was blown away when I first got into one, and if you haven’t been in a new Kia in the last few years, as I hadn’t, you really should add it to your list of cars to check out. Overall very impressed with Joe, financing, the management, the detailing work put in before picking up and the thorough walk through of the vehicle so we weren’t leaving uneducated. Had Joe not shown me the interior of an already sold vehicle just so I could see it in person I would not have purchased the vehicle we did so if you’re in the market, I recommend taking a peak at least and you may be as surprised as we were, coming from a 2015 4 Runner. This is my personal experience, however, it’s been great, we love the car and the service has been amazing before the purchase as it has after.

After getting the car and before driving it off the lot they had someone explain all the features to me in detail and even helped me connect my phone to system in the car for a hands free experience. Great cars, staff, and affordable prices!

My engine failed at 111,000 miles. I baby my cars so proper maintenance has always been done. I get it towed to Kia and of course Corporate Kia doesn’t what to take responsibility, even though thousands of their engines have been failing. The customer service was “ok” here, and found an extended warranty I didn’t even know I had. Weeks later the warranty claim is finally approved, but will not cover the full cost of a new engine but will cover a used engine for $100. Ok great, replace the engine with a used one, I don’t plan on owning this car much longer. The reason I am giving Kia a 1 star, is because they showed no sense of urgency. They had my car for 6 weeks and wouldn’t even get me a loner in the meantime. I do not feel like Kia went above and beyond in any way shape or form, and they placed the company above the clients. I will never buy a Kia again.

I came in wanting to just get a pre-owned car just something for the time. But ended up leaving with a beautiful 21 Kia Rio! Presley was fantastic and the guy in the back was really nice also!
