They charged me $700, did not fix the car, then were driving it all over Des moines, ( while we were waiting for parts) the owner had it at his private residence at 4 am, and another residence before, and after work, the whole time we were waiting on a part that hadnt arrived, so no need for test drive, no excuse, I contacted Ankeny police and will be following up with more action, photos are of my vehicle miles from his business where it was supposed to be, on a previous visit we noticed it was out of gas when returned

Benson is a great mechanic that I have going been going to for more than 15 years. The only problem that I have is it takes too long to get your car repaired. The only reason that I wait is because he is such an awesome an honest mechanic as well as a honorable individual.

Just had a minor fog light cover broke - replaced it with a non oem in less than 30 minutes (that I provided) and didnt charge me a dollar. If you own a VW, audi, or an European import - this is your guy.

My car has been at this shop for almost a month. Was told by owner would only take a couple of days. Go in yesterday 1/29/19 and he said he was having a problem due to he would now have to pull motor because he didnt know my motor was in the car the direction installed from factory. All that had been done in almost 30 days is the valve cover and coil packs had been removed. Spoke with two reliable shops including the local Audi dealer and another independent shop. Both shops say motor does not need to be removed and this should only be a six to eight hour repair.

I just wanted to go online to say these are the best mechanics in town and the most honest. My son paid for services and they called him back to refund money he paid for something not done. We had no idea it wasnt done and we paid for it so they could have taken advantage of us but they didnt. Just wanted to say thanks too. Im a lifelong customer!

Bought a car, thought everything was OK, until I was putting $60 a week in gas. All the tires were from 2012. Two of them blew out on me while I was on the interstate that was $80 a piece. Had to buy a new alternator. That was $200 .Than the last thing was the gas petal broke, went all the way down to the ground nothing was holding it back, it broke. Than I tried to break and the car would not stop, I got it down to 0 mph, but the car tried to go, so I shoved it into park to stop which made green stuff leak out. I was on the interstate while this happened again. With my kids. That was the last straw for me! I think benson is a ok. But he is too busy to take time one on one customer service, he does too much by himself, thats why I think things go wrong.

Great place and its prices are very fair. They found issues with my car and got it fix for a pretty good price compared to other place. My friends go here all the time. Only downside is that they get really busy a lot where there is no parking, but they do great work.

My Honda got sent in for a new steering pump and oil change. Bensons fixed both of those problems in 2 days flat and my car is good as new now. Bensons gets the job done fast and gets it done perfectly. The staff of Bensons know the workings of a car like the back of their hands.

Now this shop is top notch as the owner really goes over and above for his customers. As a business owner in the community it is obvious by the parking lot with the overwhelming amount of cars to be serviced his reputation is well known.Thank you Mr Benson.
