Awesome ice cream place! it seems that their prices went up slightly due to covid, but it’s still well worth it. Line moved fairly quickly, and flavors were creative. I especially enjoyed the pistachio-pineapple ice cream!

Love the old-school atmosphere and homemade ice cream. Delicious flavors that seemed not too sweet like supermarket varieties. Double dip is huge!

This place is awesome. It gives you a feel for what being a kid in the 80s was like. The ice cream is delicious and the service is extremely friendly and quick. If your stopping by Colorado or Denver I would definitely recommend you go visit.

Probably the best ice cream in Denver and they have options for vegans! Not sure how many flavors they have but its a lot. You can also get cupcakes and whole cakes.

Awesome little ice cream shop with a welcoming staff!! The staff suggested milkshake flavors—our favorite was the cookie dough. The child size scoop of strawberry was the perfect toddler portion and the itty bitty cone was a nice touch to top off her cup. We will be back, we were there mid morning mid week and did not encounter a wait.

Absolutely amazing as always. Ive been going here for as long as I can remember. I love the updates theyve made for COVID-19. Very conscientious and considerate.The ice cream is also the best! Its light yet still creamy. Its the type of ice cream that has the perfect balance. I also like their waffle cones because they add a lot of flavour while not being too thick where theyre hard to consume. Ive also never had the cones leak on me.The decor that they always have is also super cute and holiday appropriate!

Pleasant staff, amazing ice cream. Truly world class stuff. The smell do fresh sugar cones itself was a great introduction. I had their cinnamon ice cream in a chocolate dipper sugar cone with some Grand Marnier chocolate chip. The cinnamon ice cream with the sugar cone rocked. Smooth flavor, great taste. None of the cloying sweetness you get with Cold Stone or other places.Wife had their banana ice cream and the Triple Chocolate Death, I think it was. She loves banana ice cream. And said she liked the chocolate better and that it was some of the best she ever had.This is out of the way for us but we will 100% be back. Have to try some of the other flavors now that we know how good this place is.

This is my first time at Bonnie Brae Ice Cream and I enjoyed it. I kept seeing it and I must say the aesthetic is amazing and reminiscent of old timey ice cream parlors.I will admit for how much I enjoyed it, I do believe it is overhyped. I would not be always in the mood to wait in a long line for ice cream. The prices are reasonable though.I may go back again, especially in the Colorado hot weather

We stopped here for ice cream recently and it was very tasty! I haven’t had a butter pecan that good in awhile.

Careful they close at 9pm not 10pm as posted on their Google profile. We got there around 9:15pm and they weren’t going to budge. Could’ve been nicer or a bit more accommodating in my opinion. We’ll head to Ben & Jerry’s instead.

My boyfriend took me out on the town this afternoon and we found ourselves here. He’s been going here for years. Today was my first time and OMG the ice cream was amazing. My favorite part was the waffle cone. They are thick and don’t get soft and soggy on you. I will be going back here for sure!!

If you love ice cream and ice cream shops as much as I do, it’s easy to imagine that it would be hard to get this business wrong. As the proprietor of said shop, you’d have to try pretty hard to mess it up (though some do, sadly). Thankfully, Bonnie Brae is not one of those places; they are doing the ice cream business just right. Lots of delicious flavors from which to choose, friendly and helpful staff, quick service, and a festive atmosphere make for a very enjoyable visit.

An endearing storefront with pretty mediocre ice cream in my personal opinion. Too creamy and heavy. If someone were to ask me I would recommend Sweet Cows ice cream which while far from gelato is a bit closer in that direction.

Bonnie Brae is a family owned and operated place who do everything from scratch, including their delicious cones. The place feels like a 1950 slice of Americana in which time really slows down. The ice cream is great, thay have several creative options in the American tradition of more is better. They also have healthy options for gluten free and so on

The long lines are worth it! The flavors are creative, the staff is friendly, the location is great, prices reasonable. Yummm!

Letting people know that they’re not doing Sundaes or shakes or malts or any other thing other than serving cones would be great to know before somebody stands in line. This excuse of blaming everything on short staff is getting old

Great setup for covid restrictions to grab some yummy flavors of ice cream. I rode my bike there with my kids in a trailer. I was able to walk my bike & trailer up to server. Awesome to be able to get ice cream without even having to take kids out of trailer. We enjoyed the whole experience.

Delicious ice cream! I always bring my out-of-state visitors here, and they love it! The cotton candy flavor tastes just like cotton candy. I’ve tried the cookies and cream, strawberry, coffee (yummmm!!!), lemon, cookie dough, and death by chocolate. Every flavor is worthy. Great prices for a pint, and you can save some for later.

Bonnie brea is the second best ice cream shop in Denver i.m.o. the ice cream is fantastic in consistency and flavor options, plus I like seeing all the little leagers and what not lined up for a scoop.

More vegan options than Ive seen before! They had two sorbet flavors and two vegan ice creams that they home-make in-house. They were all delish. Also they keep them in a separate freezer which is cool. No pun intended. And the staff offered samples, checked ingredients and were very sweet... again, no pun intended! We went in November around 5pm.

Stopped by this evening for a family treat. The line was long but it moves relatively fast, and was totally worth it. The homemade ice cream is delicious.

Cutest little ice cream shop that I would always drive past, and I finally stopped in. Lots of delicious flavors to choose from, and they also have some cones dipped in chocolate and nuts if you want to treat yourself. I love all the seating outside; it adds to the neighborhood-y vibe. Parking isnt too bad if you park on a side street, particularly after 6pm. Really nice quality ice cream shop!

While the ice cream is okay, they never honor the line and just let people skip the line. This has repeated so many times and people are least bothered about others who have been waiting patiently. UNACCEPTABLE.

Best strawberry ice cream! Chunks of strawberries plus the creamy texture make me order it by the quart AND pick up a cone on my way home from work. Highly suggest placing online bulk orders to make sure to always have pints and quarts in the freezer at home!!

While the place was cute, and the ice cream was good, I thought it wasnt that great tasting. If youre looking for classic, well-done ice cream, this is the place. If youre looking for new, amazing ice cream, look elsewhere.

Cups, cones, and even ice cream cakes and quarts in the freezer for to-go purchase. Friendly staff, lots of outdoor seating. Limited indoor seating and parking. A Denver staple for sure.

A Denver institution for good reason. Excellent ice cream, (made fresh in house) plethora of choices (where else can you get unicorn poop ice cream?) And consistently good service. (Dont let the line intimidate you.) Covid compliant with 6-ft spacing marked on the sidewalk, and three service windows to keep the line moving. Decades of success and still going strong speaks volumes!

Ice cream was really good! I got the english toffee and the toffee was noticeable in every bite! Good serving size and good value too. I didnt manage to get a photo because I ate it too fast.
