The ladies working were so nice and helpful. The smell is amazing. There are dry spices as well as liquids and gels. As soon as they opened there were about 10 customers. We had ordered their spices online before, but decided to go in person since we were in the area.
This is a wonderful little shop with very helpful staff. They lost a star because I found one item I purchased for $2 less at the Safeway across the parking lot (same exact brand and item). Beware, you will likely succumb to impulse buys but I expect you will enjoy them.
Love this adorable store! The employees are amazing and they have every spice you never knew you needed!
My favorite spice shop. Everyone gets gift sets from me for Christmas! I LOVE my free spice every year for my birthday. I have tried new spices, because of the staff. I tell em my mood ask for recommendations and they knock it outta the park every time. I get new recipes to try. I have nothing bad to say about them
Amazing customer service!! And so many choices! Highly recommend the Savory Spice Quebec location. Great store and team.
Wish they would carry a better selection of straight herbs and spices. Its also concerning that they dont accept cash.
Very nice lady at front of the store. They recently added more quantities of products. Decent amount of merchandise.
Very kind, helpful and I got amazing spices for my upcoming dishes.
Talked down to by staff, definitely did not feel welcome. This was our first and definitely last visit to this shop.
Long time customer.. All is good after a problem was corrected.
Great little spice shop with excellent variety and quality. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent way to elevate your spice game.
My husband and I were out riding on our bikes the other day. We stumbled upon this spice shop here. The ladies were all very nice, Great selection and we got ounces to try of lots of different dry rubs and herbs. Let’s just say coming back in a few weeks for bottles! Great prices to and lots of different choices for all different flavours!
I walked in with my 3 kids. Immediately the employees say use the sanitizer. No sign saying you had to upon entering. Each employee proceeds to say can I help you and follow us around the store. I repeated just looking and continued. Its a small store they know or heard all previous interactions. Another employee says can you pull your mask all the way up..When I talk my mask goes down a little but it wasnt below my nose. My kids open the bin of cinnamon sticks to smell it. They were not touching or reaching inside. Another employee comes over and tells my kids ( which I just finished doing ) To not open that..um..I just told them that you dont need to. Again its a small.store you can hear all conversations. I said come on kids lets go since they would NOT let me look around . One employee says very loudly GOOD! They apparently dont like kids or the money I wanted to spend there I. will NEVER return.
I’ve been shopping at Savory Spice-Lowry for years. It is my happy place. The staff is phenomenal, and every experience in the store is delightful.
The staff is absolutely wonderful to work with when stocking up on pantry staples or trying to explore new flavors. The shop is very clean, and always well stocked with the freshest ingredients.
Whatever spice you need--you can get it here. Expert help, tips on how to use items, great custom spice blends. I love that you can buy spices in varying weights, depending on your needs so they stay fresh. Theyre constantly offering new products. Absolutely worth your time whether youre a novice or seasoned cook.
I love this place!
After 30 years, starting at the Platte Store, I have decided that my favorite and formerly highly recommended spice shop can no longer meet my needs. Forcing me to purchase double the quantity I need in either bottles or bags and no longer offering 2 oz quantities means I can not justify the cost or the extra effort of making a special trip just for spices. I’ve been minimizing & downsizing and recently cleared out my “big” bottles of spices in favor of more variety using the 2oz bottles I purchased from Savory Spice. Sadly they are out of sync with the minimal trends. Just when I commit to use and replace more frequently for fresher spices, I’m told they now do not sell the 2 oz bottles & only sell the volume quantities (wt varies) to fill 4oz bottles or the same volume quantity in bags or nothing. I chose nothing.
WOW! I needed some specialty spices so looked up gourmet spices. This place was a bit of a drive but completely worth it. I compared prices of common items to my local grocery store. Theirs matched many of the store brands and were better than most of the high end brands. The best part is knowing that they are a local company and grind the spices fresh here in Denver.
So many amazing options! Theyre local and have tons of organic options. They also grind and package all of their blends in-house! Very friendly and helpful staff. Cant wait for my next visit. :) Loved the Makrut Lime Sea Salt and Supreme Shallot Salt!
I love this place! You can smell and taste everything. You get great ideas for what to make and no chance of biting something you wont like!
Best place for an unbelievable selection of fresh spices, salts, peppers, and sugars
I love this place. I love the selection and the staff is always friendly and super helpful.
Ive been shopping with savory since about 2010 maybe 11 I cant remember. Im gonna have to agree with the M Pringle. They moved everything and is def harder to navigate. Im not a fan of the new look and it seems like they upped the prices??? Why fix something that wasnt broken or perhaps it was?? I just dont understand the need for all the change.
I love this place! Your herbs and spices have a shorter shelf life than you think. Get smaller amounts of the herbs and spices you need and use and they will never get stale.
I have shopped here for years and never really had an issue. What a nightmare this place has become. I understand that a business must change and adapt over time, but policies and procedures that are not customer friendly make no sense. But today was the last straw. Beyond them opening 10 minutes late, the employee decided to lecture me on what and how I should buy. I made my distaste for her behavior known and she just kept doing it. They have recently changed their policy so that you have to buy in quantities that they set. Want 2 ounces of something - forget it - you have to buy 2.6, weird. After several very frustrating minutes I gave up and walked out. Sad....very sad....to see a business shoot itself in the foot then reload and shoot itself in the other foot.
We received a set as a gift, and I cannot get enough of the Lamb Meatball & Orzo Soup that uses their Hidden Cove Lemon Garlic blend! Making it tonight for the 3rd time, and so happy there’s a Savory Spice near us to go get more!!
First, I want to thank Savory Spice for many years of good spices.Sept 2018. Inventoried my spices, made list, headed off to Savory Spice to replenish for Fall/Winter 2018. (last time I was in -Spring 2018). From Spring to Fall:Change in branding - the blue labeling looks cheap and takes away from the ‘richness/earthiness’ of spices within the containers.Zones - one staff member introduced me to the new ‘zone’ concept. Yeh - Twilight. I gave up navigating the zones and asked for assistance.Refills - used to be you could get an ounce of this, a couple ounces of that - no longer. I am usually cooking for one or two and don’t need big jars of spices. No notification. Savory Spice is quick to send emails regarding recipes, ‘sales’ and other yakkity yak -yet there was no correspondence regarding the changes.Of the six items I needed to replenish, I left with two. Where I used to tell anyone that would listen about Savory Spice, that will no longer happen. Those I had told, I put the word out about the changes. All said, very disappointed. Savory Spice was my ‘go to’ for spices after today I will have to shop around.
Really like this place! Fresh Spices and blends that are amazing. Thank you
Incredibly friendly and exceptional customer service. Huge selection, very knowledgeable staff and will go out of the way to make sure youre satisfied!Highly recommend for the novice cook to the experienced Chef.
Savory Spice is the only spot I get my spices from I am a chef in town and love their spices they definitely helped me in creating new and very flavorful dishes and in my experiments that dont always turn out so good hahaha Ill always recommend Savory Spice!
Awesome local business. Fresh spices, innovative blends and rubs, all brought together with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The online store is quite nice as well - great gift ideas!
The clerks were extremely friendly and helped us get the best deal on the spices we bought. They saved us about $20 on our purchase in total.
What a place amazing amount of spices to choose from a place you have return to over and over
Great place, i love it every time I go. Freshest spices of anywhere in the state.
I absolutely love the variety of spices available here, I always go when there are sales and stock up.
They are always super helpful in finding the spices you need and always have suggestions for which variety pairs best with what you are making. By far my favorite place to get spices.
